Downloaded an app and now 'double click to install' is showing up like a ghost in the background of my finder windows?
I am a photographer and I downloaded order software from Miller's (ROES software). The software would not install correctly and now when I open a finder window the 'double click to install' is showing up like a ghost from their installation window? Any ideas? TIA

Since it's third party, (non Apple) software, you need to visit the ROES software website for support.

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

I had a similar issue with Photoshop when I upgraded to both Snow Leopard and Lion. it turned out to be Rosetta is no longer present in the newer OS. Once I upgraded to Lion, Appleworks stopped working after all these years. -

I was downloading Skype for mac last night, and now my safari isn't working correctly (has a lot of popups and and words are hyperlinked on my webpages I pull up now. I think I have the 'DownLite' trojan but I am unsure of how to get rid of it. I saw a post in March that Linc helped with describing how to fix it, but unfortunately, it didn't work for me (because I think mine is in a different folder but am unsure how to find it). I have the UNIX shell script diagnostic scan if needed. Can anyone help me get rid of this?? Thank you for your help!

Is there actually a way to talk to a service person at Apple where you don't have to shell out money? I downloaded an app that cost $9.99 and when I tried to use it I get a message that says there is compass interference and to move away from the interference or wave the phone in a figure 8 pattern. Well, now I have a sore arm from constant waving out in the middle of a field and it appears that is going to cost $29 to talk to a person. Does anyone have any idea why this is occuring? As a side note, I can use a normal compass with no issues so it is the phone. From a customer perspective, this is poor customer service.

In the past 16 months that I have had this phone I have become less and less satisfied and found that it is like much of today's technology....over rated and under performing. The one thing that I have never been accused of is not wanting, or not giving help but when a company makes itself unavailable to resolve issues and leaves it to forums run by users helping users, it speaks more about the company than anything else they could do. As I said, I do not make idle threats and I did not threaten you in any way. Guess I'll call this topic done with as it is not and was not the intent to get a war started

Couldn't download an app and now cannot log into my iTunes account?
I had deleted Instagram a few days ago and I just tried to redownload it, but the icon wouldn't even appear; it just said "waiting" and disappeared. I then turned my phone off and tried it again, but still nothing. I tried downloading a different app and the same thing happened. I then reset it by using the home and lock buttons. It still did not work, so I logged out of my account but it wouldn't allow me to log back in. I keep getting the error message "Cannot connect to iTunes Store." I know that it's not my internet because everything else is working just fine and all of the other apps are working normally. Is anyone able to help me?

I get no response at all when I try to open Firefox.
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Ok.. since you posted in the, "Using Mac App Store" community, I just assumed you were referring to an app downloaded using the MacBook Pro mentioned in your original post.
So for your iPad...
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Then restart your iPad.
Restart your device: Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off. After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on.
Then try re downloading the app.

How to change fonts and background in a finder window?
I have searched all over the system (10.5.4) and can't figure out how to change the font that displays the text in any finder window.
I know you used to be able to change the background of any finder window too.
I must be getting old!
Any ideas?I don't think you can change the typeface (at least not with 3rd party hackies such as what Unsanity offers), but you can change the typeface size. With the Finder active click Cmd-J (View->Show View Options) and choose a different font size.

When I open Muse it comes up with a 'new version is available' and when I click on 'install now' it takes me to the adobe muse website where I click on the 'Download' button. It will then come up with 'Muse is downloading now'. It will then take me back to the Muse app again with the same 'install now' message. The new version has not installed, could some one please let me know the reason why it isn't installing.
