Downloading a film from iTunes to iPad
Have purchased a film from iTunes but it is taking hours o download, help!
What did you rent the film on, your iPad or your Mac ? If you rented it on your iPad then it should have downloaded into the Videos app on it (you should get a rentals tab in the app). If you rented it on your Mac then it should be in the Movies part of your Mac's iTunes library, you will have to connect your iPad to your Mac's iTunes and move it from your Mac to your iPad (I think that it should show on the iPad's Movies tab for moving)

Hi all, I'm trying to download a film from iTunes onto my iPad but downloaded the HD version instead of SD and don't have the room to download it. Have removed everything I can to make space but still need another 1.2 GB. Is there any way I can delete it so I can delete the version I wanted, or even better change to the SD version? The film is still queuing in the downloads list. I've tried edit and delete but that doesn't work. I also can't re-download the film from iTunes.
Any suggestions very welcome!Try to connect in recovery mode, explained in this article:
iOS: Unable to update or restore
Before that, back up your device, explained here:

Welcome to the Support Communities!
The article below will explain how to evaluate how what space is being taken up on your iPad. You may have to backup your iPad and delete some items to make room for the movie you want to download to the device.

I am attempting to download 2 films from itunes one states download in 54 minute and is 2.01 Gb and the other states 1.64gb and will take 4 hours to download any advice?
It seems that I have solved my issue by performing a full factory reset (erasing all content, something which I had hoped to avoid) restoring from an iCloud backup did not alleviate the issue, I had to set up as a new iPad.
Hopefully anyone else else who has this issue in the future will be able to find this. -
I downloaded a film from ITunes in HD and had problems, I upgraded to the latest version of ITunes and have then downloaded the film again in SD on my Windows 7 computer, but I still can't get the film to play, any idea's what to do next?
I've been working at the same problem for hours now and it's really driving me crazy so any help would be greatly appreciated. It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.

I'm trying to download a film from iTunes but an icon keeps coming up to say manage settings. What do I need to do so I can download the film?
In order for this to work you will need to connect to the computer that she syncs with normally, change her settings to manually manage her music, add back the music she wants then manually add the music from your computer.

Hey there ajj16452,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
From what I gather, your iTunes Store purchase didn't download completely and you’re looking for some troubleshooting suggestions. Take a look at the article linked below which provides a lot of great information that will resolve most iTunes Store download issues.

I downloaded a film from itunes store on my ipad but it doesn't start
i downloaded a movie from itunes store on my ipad. i went to try and watch but it doesn' start. it ask me if i want to start watching, i press ok. the screen goes black but after a few secods it goes back to the main page. please help!
You go into settings, iTunes and App Store and turn off to show all. Show all shows both 'on device' and 'in the cloud'. Turning that off makes your device show 'on device' only and makes the cloud items invsible.

we are trying to download a movie on itunes in Germany and it just stays locked in perpetual dowlaoding mode. We are new ipad users. Any suggestions?
How long have you waited to download this movie, and how fast is your internet connection?
The movies can be a few gigabytes in size, so if could take a few hours to download if your internet connection isn't super fast. -

They auto download from iTunes on my mac in iTunes when they are available.. let me know if anyone can help meI'm not aware that you can with the iPad - you can do so with music, apps, and ibooks (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4539), but I don't think that you currently can with TV shows or films.

Hello all. Decided to try and download two films at the same time. Did not realise that there was not enough memory on my iPad mini. Now have two films trying still to download and cannot erase these films/ stop the download. All the memory is taken up with these films. Can anyone advise?????
Hi
Thanks very much for replying. I can't find how to click on the device in itunes. I use itunes via the app. I also see that I have 18 films from looking in settings but in itunes I only have 4 in the running order. I think even though I have deleted films they are still around somewhere. I only have 464MB available it says. That cant be right with only four films, no photos and no music.
