Downloaded latest update version it finished but then said verifying. Had to unplug and now it shows charge symbol and itunes logo and that i must reset to factory settings. I can not do any anything else with phone. Will I lose my notes, pics, data etc? Or can an Apple store fix?

It's in recovery mode. If it wasn't backed up before you started, the information is already gone. There is nothing left on the phone at this point.

My iphone 5 is frozen on the screen that shows a cable and itunes symbol. I can not get the phone to enter DFU mode and itunes does not recognize the phone when plugged in to itunes. The phone was mid update when it was disrupted....

I plugged my iphone in to do an update and it was mid way through the update when the phone was accidentally disconnected. Now the phone is stuck on the screen that shows a cable and the iTunes image suggesting the phone needs to be plugged in to iTunes. i saw this under the summary tab in itunes. when you hover over photos at the bottom it shows how many pictures. i don't have it set to sync pics off of my computer files to the phone which is over 6,000 which it said when i clicked on sync photos from but i didn't sync. My phone shows 1.4GB on my camera roll while itunes, under the summary tab of my iphone shows 2.89GB.

Apple will not attempt to salvage it. They will offer you a replacement iPhone 4 for $149.

- Go to Settings>iCloud. Scroll to to bottom of the screen and tap the delete button. The effect all the services listed in Settings>iCloud like Notes, Contact and Calendar.
- You may be offered the option to retain that data on the iPod. Otherwise it gets deleted.
It does not effect synced media like apps and music purchased with the account..
Note that purchases made with an Apple ID are locked to the ID that purchased them. To update apps you have to sing into the account that purchased them

My Ipod touch only shows a usb wire and itunes symbol when i turn it on. it does not show up on my itunes or in my computer. ive tried the troubleshooting stuff(reseting the ipod, reinstalling the newest itunes, restarting the computer) and nothing has changed. my ipod shuffle connects to my itunes just fine though.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.
