It describes this coding pattern:
$main = {
'beginning of main'
myfunc1
myfunc2
'end of main'
function myfunc1{'myfunc1'}
function myfunc2{'myfunc2'}
& $main
This does not solve the [problem it just makes it look different.  The functions all still happen before the first line of executable code. 
Dot-sourcing is the prettiest and useful if you know how to design function. 
When we build full scripts remember that a script has three parts just like a function.
Begin/Process/End.
The functions would go in the "Begin" section.
