DragEnter in parent showing reject despite acceptDrag

i have a little subclass of a Canvas that is a child of an
HBox, and i'm working with drag-n-drop behaviors.
the canvas has its mouseDown call DragManager.doDrag
the parent HBox has dragEnter and dragDrop listeners.
the dragEnter listener simply calls
DragManager.acceptDragDrop( event.currentTarget, myformat );
i'm trying to re-arrange my canvases within the HBox parent,
and it works as expected when i'm over my canvases. but if i'm NOT
over my canvases, and simply over HBox, the reject skin is showing
(the red circle with the white 'x').
does anyone have any idea why, despite defining the dragEnter
listener on the HBox, the DragManager thinks that the HBox is
rejecting the drag when it's not over one of the HBox children?

One feed rejected despite validating, other feed image not showing

Hi there. I have two problems:
1. The podcast feed at http://planetnerd.tv/category/segments/?feed=podcast has been rejected by iTunes twice but I can't find the problem. It validates correctly:

just a guess, but perhaps it thinks for some reason that these are duplicate feeds...since many of the channel items are the exactly the same (description, subtitle, etc..) maybe make them more specific to the feed contents. Probably doesn't matter too much but perhaps taking out the special character from the title (the >>) might help things along. Perhaps just making it Planet Nerd: Episodes and Planet Nerd: Segments might avoid the potential for some problems.
As for the artwork...based on the number of complaints from others as well...I can only guess that there must be a problem with the iTunes database or it's really backlogged from the recent submission problems. Not much us podcast creators can do but wait for the iTunes folks to fix it or for it to work its way through a backlog.

Catching parent.SHOW event in child

Is there a way to know in a child when a parent's show method gets called?
eg i have a JFrame and a Jpanel in it. and how can this jPnanel get to know when we call its parent's JFrame.show method?
i tried to overload JPanel's show() method but it doesn't get called!

Skype History Still Showing Up Despite Choosing 'N...

This has been going on for several months now, and I've finally gotten to the point where I'm wanting a fix.
I've set up my Skype so that it won't log any of my conversations by going into Privacy settings and changing it to "No History". Once upon a time this used to work, and it somewhat still does, but not completely. Parts of conversations I've had with people still show up in my History. It'll be bits and pieces from various conversations, and only what they have said, never what I say.
I have tried uninstalling skype multiple times (using programs that'll completely remove it), going into the settings and resaving my choice, yet despite what I try my history is still being saved and showing up in logs despite me choosing for it NOT to be. The only way I can wipe it clean is to choose the "Clear History" option each and every time I'm done with my skype session, which not only gets annoying but wipes my saved/favorited groups and recent contacts.
Any help to fix this issue would be greatly, greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Showing rejected images even though set not to????

I am not exactly sure how I did this, but I am playing around and it is showing the rejects (inside a stack) even though I have it set to unrated or higher. Any ideas???

Even with "Ignore Stack groupings" selected I could not get this to work at the root level of the Library, unless I am mistaken I don't think this can be done. After several experiments I could not get rejects inside Stacks to show up when searching at the root level of the Library. Nice article btw

Data Targets does not show up despite having Active Update Rule

I have an Info Cube of which I have created an Update Rule from a Active Info Source.
However, when I created the Info Package, the 'Data Targets' tab does NOT seem to show the Info Cube as part of the Data Target

check if this is a Basic cube or Transactional cube. If for some reasons this has been created as a transactional cube then you won't be able to see the cube on the InfoPackage because you theoritically you won't be loading data into the transactional cubes.

Site doesn't show up despite publishing through iWeb

I'm publishing my site to an outside server with IWeb, and though the files are showing up on the server itself, when I attempt to access it from a browser, I constantly get a 404 error. Don't understand why, as all files show in in cpanel.
Am using bluehost.

I am still having this issue. I am pretty sure you are right about my site being forwarded (it is) but I am not with GoDaddy. I am with 1 and 1 hosting and they have checked out the issue and informed me that they can't do anything.
If you are using Safari, my site loads as a white page.
It also only seems to happen in Safari. Does anyone else have this problem using internet services other than GoDaddy? I am running out of options, other than the possibilty of not being able to forward my url.... which makes no sense.

No printers show up despite reinstalling drivers

Hi Everyone,
I am stumped on this one. I recently bought a Canon MF8080CW colour laser multifunctional printer and I had everything working except for the wireless scanning so I decided to try the "reset printers" option thinking it would reset the print drivers back to default settings - WRONG. I took out all my print drivers from my printer list. I thought - okay, no biggie just re-install the latest Canon print drivers.... nope, NOTHING. I tried installing a HP print drivers just to see if it was a problem specifically with the Canon drivers and that didn't show up either, I even went as far as re-installing the mac os with print drivers selected.. still nothing!
I'm running mac os x 10.6.8 on Macbook 2 GHz Intel Core duo w/2gb Ram and 300gb drive with about 20gb of unused space.
I've been a mac user since Mac OS 7.0 and I'm out of ideas, any help would GREATLY be appreciated.

Disconnect all peripherals from your computer.
Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk.
Restart your computer when done.
Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2963 and restart your computer. If still having issues, try the suggestions mentioned in article Snow Leopard & Lion Printer solutions and suggestions. And install the Gutenprint and Gimp-Print for Mac OS X (10.2 and later) drivers if all else fails. Make sure you repair permissions and restart your computer after you install.

Airport Express not showing up despite Green light

Hi all
Running Macbook Pro, 10.6.6...
Airport express.
It shows a green light on the unit and a green light / all systems oK in airport utility.
However it does not appear in iTunes and is not selectable
Any ideas???
WHen I have done a total reset, it turns up for a couple days then disappears again.
My router is a BT Business Hub.

We are going to use your MacBook Pro to measure the signal strength at the location where the AirPort Express is installed.
Please move your MacBook Pro as close to the location of the Express as possible.
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click Manual Setup
Click on "Wireless Clients" (3rd line from the bottom) and a window will open to display your signal strength and noise
Please post the exact negative numbers that you see for Signal and Noise

Birthday Reminders still showing up despite being unticked? (Outlook Calender)

Hi, I have my Windows 8.1 Outlook calender synced with my iPhone (linked through my hotmail address). The reminders for one always show up on the other when they are synced and on wifi which is great. However there is one main problem. The birthday calender under the outlook section and also under the main section are unticked. But I still seem to get notifications at midday every day about whos birthday it is the following day. This is annoying as my outlook is linked to everything, i.e multiple inboxes and facebook etc so I get a notification from pretty much every single contact I have. This also is annoying when using siri to create and event as at the end he will say 'there are already 7 events lined up for today which overlap do you wish for me to proceed'. That 7 being the birthday reminders. I dont know if this is a small glitch or what but it is starting to get really annoying. Any advice would be great!

The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.
Thus, if you get it to work restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup

Hidden songs keep showing up despite being hidden

I have hidden tracks that I no longer want to appear in my purchases. The artist no longer shows up in the purchased list, only in the hidden purchases list, and yet a few tracks still show up on my iPhone (but not my iTunes). I have gone into the Music settings on my phone and unselected "Show All Music" - so most of my iTunes purchases don't show, but a few random tracks (both hidden and unhidden) still show. I really don't want these to show on my phone, and have no clue how to get rid of them. Any one have any ideas? Thank you.

The tracks that still show have been downloaded to your phone. I solved this by clearing the music off my iPhone. This will remove the tracks you want and also the tracks you do not want. You will need to manually add those tracks back to your iPhone.
Unfortunately I haven't figured out a way to keep tracks I've hidden off my iPhone and still play the tracks I do want access to. The only other option I know is subscribing to iTunes Match at $24.99 per year in order to delete content I no longer want... and I will not be paying Apple money for that privilege.
Its maddening, undesireable, and iTunes will remain unuseable until hidden purchases are hidden across each idevice.

Flash drive no longer works with MacBook Pro. Now says it is unformatted, but no info what to do and not lose my data. Does not show up despite multiple prior uses on the same computer.

Upgraded to OS Mavericks in November. Flash drive that worked fine previously with Lion and worked several times with Mavericks. Now says the 8GB jump drive (Lexar) is unformatted. Disk Utility First Aid seem unavailable. It sees the drive, but on the far left left, and when highlighted, nothing can be done with it.

In the past two hours, I wasted most of it trying to use a software program, Disk Drill by Cleverfiles, that offers a "free" version. The free version does not recover your data for you. It is not a free 30 day trial. It is deceptively advetised - it will recover data but you will not see your data untless you pay them almost $100.
Instead of trying to recover the data on the USB drive, this program ran a recovery on my computer hard drive and any disk image it could find on my computer until I stopped and deleted it. Apparently, it collects and keeps data recovered locked unless you pay for a key to download your data. This is not clearly presented up front. Had I known, I would never have put their software on my computer.
I need direction to a reliable recovery program that is not this sneaky and deceptive. I stopped it when I discovered it was not doing what I had clicked for it to do, and removed the software.
I am looking for a recommendation for a program that will do what Apple Disk Utility does not do - restore the formatting that may have been corrupted, or at least recover my data files so I can put them on other portable media.
I recently installed a CalDigit Thunderbolt Dock to get USB 3.0 on my early 2011 Mac. I suspect this may have contributed to this disk failure but will have to contact their tech support tomorrow.
Thanks for any suggestions for a reliable free or reasonably priced recovery software that someone can attest from using really works.
