Drop shipping with serial

Hi,
we have deliver good via drop ship. Now it is the case, that the goods will sent back to us
and we have to check by serial, that this was the good the supplier has delivered before.
In the standard scenario it isn't possible to collect serialnumbers in a statistical GR or in a delivery note.
How can I solve that problem?
Regards Ralf

Hi Ralf,
check whether MMSL procedure is assigned in the serial number profile used, also ensure that for MMSL profile the serial number usage is 03 (Obligatory). if your configuration satisfies the above 2 points, then your statistical GR would ask from serial number (provided this serial number profile is assigned in the material you are using in 3rd party order).

Vairavan.

  • Third Party Drop Ship with Auto PO Generation

    Hi All -
I am using a third party drop ship process and I would like the PO to be automatically generated by the system.
I have changed the configuration on the TAS item category and checked 'Create PO Automatically'.  I went to OVX5 and maintained the Purchasing Org, Plant, Purchasing group, and order type for my Sales Org.
When I create a sales order with a material with a TAS item category.  The purchase requisition gets created but the PO does not.  Am I missing something in set up?
    Please help
    Thanks
    J

Auto Po will not generates in third party sales, only PR will get generated based on PR we have to create PO in ME21N.
pls search in forum will get many threads on this

  • Integrating drop ship products with BC Ecommerce

I wanted to let the Business Catalyst community know about our new integration with the BC Ecommerce platform for automatically loading and updating products from most major drop ship distributors in North America (and some European based ones as well).
For anyone interested, ther dropshipper network from www.inventorysource.com is now fully integrated with BC Ecommerce using the web services API.  This means that anyone can have products automatically loaded to their site and updated every day with the inventory information from your distributor, allowing for automated drop shipping.
Currently there are approximately 87 distributors covering about 800,000+ unique products that you can choose from for adding to your current Ecommerce inventory.  If you already sell drop ship on your site, your supplier is probably already integrated and can be automated for you.
I welcome any questions related to Inventory Source and the integration with BC Ecommerce.  You can learn more at www.inventorysource.com.
    Thanks!
    Kelly

    Hi ,
Is it possible to get example code you have used to integrate API. I am trying to do it using C# but I am unable to get the catalogue list or product list .
Any help will be highly appreciated .
    Thanks

  • Edit back to back sales and purchase order with dropped ship warehouse

    Hi
Our Client request to be able to edit back to back sales and purchase order with Drop Shipped WH which is frequently required according to their business nature in overseas trading.
    Kedalene Chong

    Hi Daniel,
In the PO Ship To address field, the database/company address will appear until a warehouse is selected. Once a WH is selected, that is the address that will appear. If there is no WH address, the company address is indicated in the field (note: no company name just the address).
If you want a different address/name, you can type it into the ShipTo address field and the PLD template will use whatever is in the field.
If it is because there is no company name on the PO - does this mean you want a different company name than the one in the PO header. If this is the case and the ShipTo address & company name is always the same, you can update the PLD template by changing the ST address field to Text and enter the company name & address you want on the PO. This will appear on every PO regardless of what is in SAP. If you want the company name to always be the same, add a text field above the ST address field and fill in the company name; the address will be pulled from the PO Logistics ST field (per the first paragraph above).
If this is not what you want, please explain in more detail what you would like to do.

  • Changes to Drop Ship Orders with configurations/star items

    Hi,
Can someone in this group clarify a few things with respect to changes to drop ship orders that has configured/star items. The CTO guide says that we cannot do configuration changes on the sales order, if the related PO is 'Approved'. There is a processing constraint that prevents it.
-->So can we cancel PO and the Purchase Requisition, then de-link the configured/star item on the sales order and then do configuration changes?
-->Assuming that the PO is NOT 'Approved', then we can do configuration changes on the sales order, so what happens to the PO. Does the PO get cancelled or the old configured/star item's PO line gets cancelled? The guide says it depends on the status of the PO. Its a bit ambiguous.
Can someone who has tested this function in R11i or R12 share their experience?
    Thanks,
    Nitin

The PO changes are not reflected automatically on the SO.
However, you can run the "Sales Order and Purchase Order Discrepancy Report" in Order Management. This report will at least give you the drop ship orders that don't match.
    Hope this answers your question

  • Integrate 'External non-SAP Purchasing Application' with SAP SD for third party purchasing/ drop shipping?

What is the best way to integrate 'External non-SAP Purchasing Application' with SAP SD for third party purchasing/ drop shipping?
    Details about expected process Flow.
Receive PO from customer into SAP > SAP SD creates Sales Order > ?? SAP Integrate with External non-SAP Purchasing Application to trigger purchasing > External non-SAP Purchasing Application creates PO, Ships Material to Customer Ship to address (drop ship), Sends Shipping confirmation (FCR) & Invoices to SAP> ??Receive FCR and Invoice in SAP > ?? Initiate SAP Accounts Payable (Vendor Payments) and Accounts Receivable (Customer Invoice) > ?? Update SAP SD Sales Order with shipping status>
    Questions we need to answer;
      - How to achieve '??' steps from above process.
      - What type of Master Data we will need to configure (Say Materials Item Category, Type etc.)
      - Any standards options to configure SAP SD (Type of Sales Order)
      - We certainly don’t want to trigger SAP MM Purchasing (i.e. PR, PO etc.). How can we bypass it.
      - How to make statistical receipts against sales order line items so that SO status will be updated.
      - How to receive Invoice and FCR from External non-SAP app to trigger AP and AR transactions.
      - Are there any SAP standard configurations/ BAPIs/ BADIs available to achieve this integration.
Any inputs on above questions are appreciable.
    Anand.

This question is resolved. We ended up activating purchasing module and used purchasing documents PR/ PO to integrate with third party purchasing system.

  • Has anyone successfully implemented a drop shipping eCommerce solution with MULTIPLE suppliers?

    Hi there
I have read a few BC forum articles on this subject, but none seem to have clarified whether a drop shipping eCommerce solution with MULTIPLE suppliers can truly be implemented successfully in BC.
In particluar, my concern is with splitting up ONE online order with products from MULTIPLE suppliers ... and split up the order into its individual supplier components and thereby calculate freight costs for each of the suppliers i.e. the freight cost should really be calculated for each of the suppliers SEPERATELY and not for the order as a whole.
Forum post http://forums.adobe.com/message/4881302#4881302 addresses this issue and Liam Dilley [as always] kindly responded. But his response indicates this is not possible with BC.
If this is the case, drop shipping in BC is quite useless unless:
    1. you had only one supplier
    2. or, you somehow restricted each order placed to products from only one supplier - which I am unsure is even possible even with JQuery
Any feedback from the community would be most appreciated.
    Regards
    Gavin

    You have two requirements:
    1. Once ordered, split the order into suppliers, contact the supplier of the product, give the information of the order to the customer. Supplier ships it. This could be done manually but a pain in the ***. I would assume you want it automated.
    2. When ordering, multiple products require mutliple shipping rates. As the shipping from location could be different for each product you can't just use the ship from one location option.
    Solutions:
    1. This is the easier one, you record the supplier in the product via a form or in the product item itself. If you wanted to automate here you could via API, if you wanted to do it manually you also could.
    2. Shipping calulator, to make things easier you would have to do everything by weight. Use Javascript to remove the default shipping option on the checkout page, pass all the items in the shopping cart. Use a lookup table function in Javascript "item name to weight" then have another function item to (from) shipping location. Work out the shipping and display it and force change with Javascript BC's shipping price (so the customer pays the correct amount).
Like Liam says, it's not something BC does too well at the moment and the above solution is more of a workaround but does work.

  • Drop ship line did not split, the material have partial receipts, can the PR and PO be canceled?

    hello,
I need some help with this issue. We have a drop ship line that have 270 cartons in status awaiting receipt, but in the inventory already received 624 cartons.  The line of that sales order needs to be closed now, to invoice the customer. But the PR and PO looks like OPEN.
I tried to manually split the line in the sales order. To have two lines; one with the 624 already received, and other one for the 96 cartons left. But an error message shows when i do this.
The error its :  You are not allowed to split Order Line because:Line is released to purchasing
I found in the ORDER ORGANIZER when i chek the Sales Order, the ORDER SOURSE LINE REFERENCE the last line (which suppose to be splitted with the reception of the material) have a number lower than the line before it.
    example: line 2.5 have OE_ORDER_LINES_ALL27231981  and line 2.4 OE_ORDER_LINES_ALL27232315
Can somebody help me with this?
i also found a bug in meta link but i think something can be done. bug 2281449.
    Thank you,
    Paloma Cadena

We had similar issues in the past. We solved them by doing a mini customization.
The customization created an short-text attachment of the type "Note to receiver" at the PR level. The attachment included the Sales order # and line#.
This attachment flows from the PR to PO and is also available to the receiving clerk during receipt.
However, once the PO is received, we did not transfer the information to onhand. I don't think one can unless the item was serialized or lot controlled.
    Hope this helps,

  • Drop ship purchase order creation using Pl/Sql code..

    Hi,
We are creating the purchase order for drop ship orders.
    1. Created order with line source as external and then we ran the workflow backround processor which created a requisition for the order, using this requisition we are trying to create a purchase order with autocreate functionality by using PO_INTERFACE_S. Is this the way to create a drop ship po from backend.
Can you please suggest any other way.
    Thanks in Advance.
    jagdish.

    Hi,
You can customize the workflow such that it creates PO automatically, by selecting the attributes "Is PO Auto Creation Allowed?" to create PO after the requisition is created.
Requisition Import will call PO Create Documents w/f to create PO.
Plz get back to me if any clarification is needed.

    Dear Nitishj,
If the strategy is MTS then in my understanding you cannot get any sales order order number with reference to
    production made
Reason is in MTS production will be made collectively without reference to sales order
where as in MTO it does with reference to sales order

  • Snow leopard on macbook pro shipped with lion

A question from Sweden: Can you install SL 10.6 on a macbook pro that shipped with Lion?

your going to need another Mac that can boot off the disks, then T boot off the target Mac first so it's FireWire Target Disk Mode, then connect a Firewire cable then hold c boot off the 10.6 disk, erase the factory Lion machine completely and install OS X 10.6
The firmware will not you boot from earlier OS X install disks on a factory Lion box. You have to work around it to get it on the drive, but once it's there it will be fine.
I just did this, and did not have to Target boot at all. The machine booted right up off the replica 10.6.7 DVD, and was perfectly happy to install 10.6 right over 10.7 without erasing anything. No wacky side effects except a few settings had to be set again where Lion's settings were too different.
If you only have the "Full Retail" 10.6.3 disc, then you WILL have to use another older Mac as intermediary, since the 2011 MacBook Pro needs at least 10.6.6 to boot.
Mine was a refururb, and because it has originally been sold with 10.6, there WAS a 10.6 disc they could copy and send me. They muttered about "ranges of serial numbers". The "first responders" do not know these are available, so you have to be firm, but polite. The answer for your specific Mac may still be no. By year-end, the answer will always be NO.

  • 2 - PO process for intracompany drop ship to 3PL.

Our company has a business process where a purchase order is released to a vendor for a long lead time item.  The vendor is to deliver the product to a 3PL that is set up as a plant in our system.  There are several requirements having heavy influence on this business process:
u2022     We need to take ownership of the product while it is in transit to the 3PL.
u2022     We need to pay the vendor prior to the product arriving at the 3PL.
u2022     We need to be able to show the inventory as being in-transit to the 3PL.
We currently meet these requirements in the following way:
u2022     A PO (#1) is created from a u201Cvirtualu201D plant to the vendor.
u2022     Another Stock Transfer Order (#2) is created from the virtual plant to the 3PL that is to receive the product.
u2022     When the vendor notifies the virtual plant the product has shipped to the 3PL, a virtual goods receipt is done in the virtual plant against PO #1.   This allows an invoice to be entered and the vendor paid.
u2022     A virtual delivery is created against the STO #2 and post goods issued, putting it in transit to the 3PL.  An EDI signal is sent to the 3PL as a shipment advice that the product is coming in.
u2022     When the 3PL receives the product from the vendor they post a goods receipt with reference to the STO #2, closing the loop.
This process is less than optimal because:
u2022     Two PO documents must be maintained and kept in sync during the process.
u2022     Products are long lead time, meaning this process of keeping 2 POu2019s in sync must be done for a long time.
u2022     Significant time is spent creating virtual transactions.
Does anyone know of a way that we can more efficiently meet the requirements outlined above WITHOUT having a 2-PO process and virtual transactions?  We would love to hear your ideas or recommendations.

    Hi Daniel,
Your scenario is covered under  SAP Best Practices V4G: Third-Party Drop Shipment with Vendor Invoices and Returns.
In third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. The standard sales order automatically creates a purchase requisition for the materials to be delivered by the third-party vendor.
In this scenario, the vendor sends a shipping notification. The incoming invoice from the vendor updates the billing quantity, so that the customer-billing document is only possible after entering the invoice from the vendor.
If the customer does not accept the delivered goods from the third party vendor, the customer disposes of the goods. A credit memo is issued to the customer reversing the revenue and cost of goods sold. Then a MM credit memo is created for the third party vendor. A statistical goods receipt reversal is performed for the goods in order to close out the original purchase order. The vendor credit memo may initially be blocked for payment, if previous agreement for this with vendor exists.

  • Creation of sub item with serial numbers in outbound delivery

    Hi All,
We need to create a sub item for an Outbound Delivery main item in change mode with serial numbers for sub item.
    Process flow:
    1. Sales order item created with main item
    2. Outbound Delivery created with main item
    3. Outbound Delivery interfaced to external logistics sytem
    4. External logistics system pick the main item and a sub item (packaging) from warehosue and ship to customer
    5. External logistics sytems send delivery pick confirmation interface with main item details and serial numbers for sub item
Now we have to create a sub item with serial numbers in the delivery referencing the same main item.
NB: Delivey can have multiple similar main items but there is only material number in SAP for sub item. Hence the requirement to identify relevant sub item serial numbers to each delivery main item.
Can you kindly tell me in what possible ways we can create sub item with serial numbers for a deliveyr main item in change mode.
    Thanks in advance

  • Freight from PO or goods receipt into sales order in Third party drop ship

    Hello!!!
We have a requirement where the freight charged by vendor in third party drop ship sales order scenario should show up in the billing document to customer. So we will create a sales order with TAS item category.  This will create PReq and PO subsequently.  Once the vendor delivers the goods to customer and we do the goods receipt in the system, we will bill the customer.  While we bill we want to bring the actual freight charged by vendor to the customer billing document.  Also we bill the customer as soon as we do the receipt and do not wait for the vendor invoice.
I am not sure if we can do this standard SAP but would like to if anyone has come across this scenario and what is the approach if we need to do this. We can have vendor send us the freight while doing the goods receipt but not sure how to transfer the value to sales order or to billing document directly.
Any help or idea is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,

During GRN we cannot enter any value apart from the excise or customs duty, therefore the freight that you have incured at actuals cannot be captured during GRN and therefore cannot be transfered to the invoice also.
While creating invoice to the customer you can insert a freight condition type and enter the freight value manualy.
Generally in third party scenario we can only invoice the cust after purchase booking has taken place. In your case you want the cust invoice to be created based on grn, for that you have modify the copy control settings.
