DropdownList box to display R/3 table

Hi,
I want to display a R/3 table of 5 columns in the dropdownbox with only one column, how can I do that?.
Is this possible without simple types. Since we dont know the contents of drop-down box at design time, I cant use simple type. How can I achieve this feature?.
Thanks.
/sunita.

Hi,
If u want to populate values using a DropDownByKey UI Element this code will help you.
IWDAttributeInfo ainfo = wdContext.node<<NodeName>>().getNodeInfo().getAttribute("<<Value Attribute that is bound to the Drop Down by Key element>>");
ISimpleTypeModifiable st = aiinfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
IModifiableSimpleValueSet vs = st.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
for(int i=0;i<wdContext.node<<name of the node>>().size();i++)
vs.put(Key,Value}

  • Dropdownlist box value and display field retrieval question

    have a case on a dropdown list where I want to not only retieve the value from the selected item, but I also want to retrieve the display field. I know that you use the the tempDropdownlist.getValue() to get the value, but how do you retrieve the display field?
    The dropdown box is bound to a table with id(int) and Name(string).

    Yes there's no easy way - but you can loop thru the select items list and find the one that matches the current getValue result... and get it that way - see the tutorial on Using Listbox Components...

  • (Smartform)check box display in a table....very urgent

    Hi..
    i inserted check box by going to <b>sap symbols and inserted check box</b> but i am unable to see print preview and also in the printout.
    Can any one tell me how to insert check box in a <u><b>table.</b></u>
    your help will be appreciated.<b></b>

    Hello,
    As discussed earlier in many posts, it is better you load a graphic for Check box ( Checked and Empty ) is Tx SE78. You can create .bmp files for the same in MS paint.
    In a table node in the SSF, every line in the table will be accessed once in a loop. So you create an alternative node to check the condition when your Check box is to be checked or empty ( may be based on some field data in the work area). Then you call the necessary graphic ( Checked check box or a empty check box ). A Graphic node is to be created under the alternative node. Do remember to place the graphic in appropriate Line and Cell in your table by giving proper output options.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Dialog Prog to Display fields of Table or Structure in screen dynamically.

    Hello Experts ,
           I am working on a dialog programming I wish to display any given table/structure on the screen - to be very clear.
    1st screen -
        One input box which can take any SAP standard or custom tableor structure as input <-- Press enter
    2 nd screen -
        I wish to see the fields of the structure in column format dsiplayed in the screen ( Like ALV Grid in the page).
    Please tell me the logic or similar example so i can refer thanks in advance.
    Thanks,
    Sriram.

    Hello Srinivas,
      Your program looks really looks and simple but the porb is we have 4.6c here. So the syntax lines
    CREATE DATA gv_dref TYPE TABLE OF (p_table).
       is not accepted by the system if we enter as it is (error - unable to interpret table - possible cause of error or spelling)
    but it accepts
    CREATE DATA gv_dref TYPE p_table.
    but at the time of select query its not talking it has a internal table to show data , finalltyit dumps.
    [ASSIGN gv_dref->* TO <fs_itab>.
      "Select the data
      SELECT * FROM (p_table) INTO TABLE <fs_itab> UP TO 100 ROWS.
    So my problem is to find a way to dynamically display a table or view .
    Please guide.
    Regards,
    Sriram.

  • Dropdownlist box problem

    Hi ALL,
    I am developing iview which displays every months employee report.I am using dropdownlist box for months if i select month it should display that months report.Does any one have idea on this?I didnt find any example on that how to trigger selected value using javascript.I reallyh appreciate if anyone post the example code what i need to write in JSP,Bean and class.its really urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
       You can use onClientSelect to trigger the javascript code.
    Here is a sample code to trigger the javascript
    <%String projectId="";%>
    <hbj:dropdownListBox
         id="projectIdDL"
         width="110"
         onClientSelect="getStages()">
    <%projectId=myContext.getParamIdForComponent(projectIdDL);%>
         </hbj:dropdownListBox>
    <script>
    var proid=document.getElementById('<%=projectId%>');
    function getStages()
    //code
    </script>
    Hope this will oslve your problem to trigger a javascript code when you select a value in DropdownListbox

  • Data is not getting displayed into a table

    Hi,
    here i used 2 views
    Personal info view :--user fill the details in this and clicks go...Then the user entered details should be displayed into a table view...
    In context of personalinfoView i took a node as "personal" and added the details as attributes to personal node,and while mapping i mapped Controller data with PersonalinfoView...
    No i have to retrive data from controller component and i have to display in table
    But the table is getting displayed but no values are getting displayed..
    the code for getting data from component controller i used in inplug method od table is
    String tblName=wdThis.wdGetUICompController().wdGetContext().currentPersonalElement().getName();
        if((tblName!=null)&& tblName.equals(""))
              wdContext.currentPersonalElement().setName(tblName);
        String tblFirstName= wdThis.wdGetUICompController().wdGetContext().currentPersonalElement().getFirstName();
         if(tblFirstName!=null && tblFirstName.equals( ""))
              wdContext.currentPersonalElement().setFirstName(tblFirstName);
        String tblEmail=wdThis.wdGetUICompController().wdGetContext().currentPersonalElement().getEmail();
         if(tblEmail!=null && tblEmail.equals(""))
           wdContext.currentPersonalElement().setEmail(tblEmail);
        String tblCountry=wdThis.wdGetUICompController().wdGetContext().currentPersonalElement().getCountry();
        if(tblCountry!=null && tblCountry.equals(""))
            wdContext.currentPersonalElement().setCountry(tblCountry );
        String tblGender=wdThis.wdGetUICompController().wdGetContext().currentPersonalElement().getGender();
        if(tblGender!=null && tblGender.equals(""))
            wdContext.currentPersonalElement().setGender(tblGender);
        String tblSports=wdThis.wdGetUICompController().wdGetContext().currentPersonalElement().getSports();
        if(tblSports!=null && tblSports.equals( ""))
            wdContext.currentPersonalElement().setSports(tblSports );
        String tblOthers=wdThis.wdGetUICompController().wdGetContext().currentPersonalElement().getOtherinterests();
        if(tblOthers!=null && tblOthers.equals(""))
            wdContext.currentPersonalElement().setOtherinterests(tblOthers );

    Hi Padma
    You said you have context structure like this
    Personal
    Name
    Firstname
    Email
    if you set personal node's cardinality 1..1 it can hold only one person's Information.i.e. personal node has only one element.
    if you set the personal node's cardinality 0..n it can hold 0 to N nor of person's data.i.e. personal node has 0 to n elements
    If Personal node has cardinality 0..n and it has 10 elements holding 10 person's data, and you are displaying it in a table control.  If we set the selection property single only one row can be selected at a time. if it is Multi user can select multiple rows from the table.
    Now in your case, there is no need to take cardinality as 0..n. Because you are holding information of one person, so the cardinality is 1..1

  • Data not displayed in Z-table when material code (MATNR) entered in selection screen.

    Hi Experts,
    I have a Z-table for a gatepass report which was already created by another developer. This table has many fields including plant, year, material code field. (MATNR) etc
    Now the problem is in SE11, I run the table to display the entries, when I enter plant and year and execute many entries are displayed.properly including material codes(e.g.50008536).
    But when I execute the same entering plant, year and material code(e.g.50008536) then this message is displayed. " No table entries found for specified key"
    The same thing happens if I am writing a select query in my report to get the data of any particular material code. My internal table is not filled with the data including that particular material code.
    Some more info :
    1. The material code field in the Z-table is assigned the standard material code Data element. i.e. MATNR
    2. Even if I enter '000000000050008536' as input it is still not working. it is automatically changed to '50008536' after executing.
    So please help me where the problem is? I have spent alot of time on this but not able to find the problem..
    Thanks,
    Vishal .

    Hi Vishal,
    Hope I understand  that table content does not starts with zero for material, reply me if i am wrong.
    Use this code before where condition.
    loop at so_matnr.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT'
       EXPORTING
         INPUT         = so_matnr-low
      IMPORTING
        OUTPUT        = so_matnr-low.
    if so_matnr-high is NOT INITIAL.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT'
       EXPORTING
         INPUT         = so_matnr-high
      IMPORTING
        OUTPUT        = so_matnr-high.
    endif.
    MODIFY  so_matnr.
    endloop.
    if table content is filled with zero use  FM conversion_exit_alpha_input
    Regards,
    Venkat.

  • Modeless Dialog Box Not Displaying Contents

    I have created a simple modeless dialog box. Although the dialog box and title appear, the contents (a label) do not appear. The dialog box does display correctly if the dialog box is switched to a modal box.
    I got into this problem because I also cannot get labels to change after their initial display on the main frame. I've tried repaint() and Thread.sleep().
    Please help me, I am a newbie to Java.
    Sincerely,
    John

    I actually had a similar problem with a JDialog containing only a progress bar, which ended up being a problem with Swing rather than my code (the bug report has already been filed). Adding a second component to the dialog fixed the problem, counterintuitive as that seems. Try it and see if that helps... If the label is a JLabel, you might try calling revalidate() on it to get the text to update.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Raghu.

    From my database i need to get the values for ,
    UserName and Password and display in a table format
    .Really, really bad idea.
    There is never any need, in any implementation to display or even keep actual passwords.
    >
    May i know how to get it in a tabular format as an
    outputAs in a GUI? Then that is a GUI question not a JDBC one.
    Something else? Then you need to explain exactly what the destination is and what defines it as 'tabular'.

  • How to handle the button "cancel" in a dialog box for displaying views?

    Hello!
    I ve a question about handling the cancel button in a dialog box for displaying views.
    I ve already implemented the dialog box by using the following code:
    METHOD eh_onnewqact.
      DATA stitle TYPE string.
      IF m_popup IS BOUND.
        stitle = cl_bsp_runtime=>get_otr_text( alias = 'ZCC_ICRM/NEW_TASK' )."cl_wd_utilities=>get_otr_text_by_alias( 'ZCC_ICRM/NEW_TASK' ).
        m_popup = comp_controller->window_manager->create_popup(
          iv_interface_view_name = 'ZCC_POPUP_NEWBT/NewQActWindow'
          iv_usage_name = 'CUNewQAct'
          iv_title = stitle
        CALL METHOD m_popup->set_on_close_event
          EXPORTING
            iv_view       = me
            iv_event_name = 'NEWQACT_POPUP_CLOSED'.
      ENDIF.
      m_popup->open( ).
    ENDMETHOD.
    My dialog box consists two buttons - cancel and create.
    The cancel buttons should close the popup and the create button should create an entity of a specified object. but let us come to the cancel button. I did´nt find any information about implementing an cancel button. So, how should I implement it? I thougt
    me->close( ). But that didnt works!
    Could u give me further information about that, because my cancel event-handler is empty?
    method EH_ONCANCEL_QACT.
    endmethod.
    After that I would know how my calling view could know that the user pushes the Create Button and how the data of 2 inputfields of the dialog box finds their way to the calling view in order to process this data there?
    Thank you very much!

    Hi Michael,
    thank you for your advice! This problem is solved...
    ...but I have another issue. Ive implemented 2 editable fields in my popup. The user should fill that fields with context and that context should be processed in the calling view of my popup.
    My question is how to transfer these information from my popup to my calling view or method?
    I tried the following...
          lv_context_node ?= m_popup->get_context_node( 'QUICKACT' ).
          IF lv_context_node IS NOT INITIAL.
            lv_text = lv_context_node->get_date( attribute_path = '' ).
          ENDIF.
    But it doesnt work! The context node object is always empty/initial.
    Thank you!
    PS: Another possibility could be that the object / node of the calling view is transferred to the pop-up in order to process it there.

  • Cannot display all the tables of the schema!!!

    Hi:
    I use the oracle sql developer on the windows xp, I found that the tables tab cannot display all the tables of the schema owner, I use the sql "select count(*) from user_tables" I found the result is more than the tab can be display, and I also press the "show more" already.... does anyone can help me ???

    Similarly, I have 852 tables owned by the connected user (selected count from user_tables and checked the user tables report which has this many records returned), but when I double-click on the "Show More" and select Show All, I only get approximately 375 tables listed.
    It doesn't help that the sorting is different - ie ASF_ comes before ASFB in the connection pane but the other way around in the report.
    However, it looks as though the problem is that tables that are not analysed (based on the report data in DATE_LAST_ANALYZED) are not being displayed under the Table node.

    How to display a oracle table from a java program.
    Hello friends, I have written a Java program, using oracle 10g as backend.
    I want to display a oracle table as output. Im not getting how to display oracle table as a output table.. Pls help me
    Thank you

    jayanthds, you're not going to get a satisfactory
    answer to this here. it's too big a task to justbe
    quickly outlined in a forum - the reply "all youneed
    to do is to query you table and return it asJTable"
    is worthless, for example, since the solution to
    any problem can be distilled to such a
    soundbite, if need be. doesn't make the solutionany
    simpler
    essentially you're asking "how do I write adatabase
    application?". all you'll get is snippets of code
    that, when fitted together, will eventually helpyou
    do this, but you'll spend days and days comingback
    saying "right, I've done that, now what?" until
    either you or the forum gets frustrated with the
    whole affair and the process stops
    there are entire books written about this subject,
    and countless tutorials and guides on theinternet.
    you're better off going down that routehehehe.well, it's true! I used to have a manager that would outline the solution to a problem in a few lines of pseudocode, and then firmly believe that the actual solution would be just as brief and simple. shame his pseudocode included such lofty abstractions as "reformat all data"
