You could well be looking at a new iPod, but this will only cost you a couple of bucks, and a little time. Worth trying, but it maybe to late, (I just don't want to give you any false hope.) Turn your iPod off and leave it off, do not attempt to charge it or use until you dry your iPod out. Put it in a sealed bag of rice for at least 7 to 10 days. change the rice daily. If (and it's a "BIG" if) your lucky after drying the iPod it will start up when you turn on the power. You may need to charge it for at least 30 minutes to get some signs of life. If it does not turn on after charging attempt a reset, press and hold both the power and home buttons together for about 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, then release both buttons. If your iPod turns on, check that all is working. If you get it to work the first thing you should be is back up everything on your iPod to your computer, no guarantee it will continue to work. Water does bad things to electronic toys. If it doesn't work your only out a couple of bucks, then it's time for new toys. You may want to look at replacing with a refurbished iPod, about 1/2 of new. Have you tried a soft-reset to see if it that fixes it ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot. If not then try restoring to your last backup (after, if you can, copying purchases over to your computer's iTuNes library via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, and copying any important documents and/or photos off it)
If that doesn't fix it then you might be better off asking in the Using iPod forum on here, this forum is for questions about the iTunes store. -
hi. my ipod touch i guess finished updating. and now when it trys to turn on, a blue screen comes up and then the blue screen changes to a white one. and i cant do anything to it. also it own connect to itunes. help pls

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I dropped my ipod touch and its shattered in the corner but there are multiple cracks along the whole screen everything works perfectly but I was wondering if the Apple Store in Brent Cross, London, would be willing to swap it or change it at no expense. Does anyone know about this store from experience or.....? It looks ugly now and I hate it please help and reply, for everyone living in North London going though the same problem or maybe will do in the future.

And I was aware that the one year limited warranty does not cover accidental damage but it turned out that specific store did take back my iPod touch and covered the cost. Due to the fact my iPod wasn't even a year old. Although if it were to happen again I would have to pay about £130 to cover the cost. Apple Customer Service is amazing and they treat the customers really well.

after all ive gone through with it in just a days time of actually being able to use, its stolen,but luckily I got it bac,\k, but then unlucky its disabled when i get it back. didnt have a computer i could downlaod itunes on and connect to my ipod via usb cable. Finally, my friend brings me her laptop computer and I download the app. yesss. then i connect ipod. nothing happened at first. still said ipod disabled connect to itunes on display. then after i exited out of the various windows i opened to get it to its current position. bam, out of no where it sends out a notification sound and its showing itunes logo with a usb cable beneath it arrow in midst of the two pointing to i tunes. wallah itunes shows ipod touch on left and displays downlaod process after i answered various questions to allow it to downlaod updates and restore my ipod. . i was excited and relieved needless to say... why am I here now though, with what seems to be the same problem. you see it downloads a part of the file then about 20 mins into it or less than 25% through, i hear a beep sound from my ipod again. no it wasn"t finished with download as i had eexpected it to say but instead it said itunes was unable to access my ipods files cause my ipod had a password protection on it and that i needed to enter that password on my ipod first in order for the itunes app be able to access it.!!! HELLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANYBODY SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I HAVE TO CONNECT TO ITUNES TO REENABLE IT BUT WHEN I DO THAT, I CAN DO IT TIL I ENTER MY PASSWORD ON IPOD FIRST , WHICH CANT ACCESS PASSWORD OVERRIDE SCREEN UNTIL ITS CONNECTED TO ITUNES. My iPod Touch 4th Generation keeps crashing and slowing down
I have an iPod touch 4g 8Gb. I've got it i think 2 years ago. Maybe even 3 I'm not sure. it is running IOS 6.1.6 . I never had problems with IOS 6 like other people said. It was perfectly fine. Until IOS7 came out.(I know it is not capable with iPod Touch 4) I restored it made sure background app refresh wasn't on and everything you can think of but it didn't seem to help. I have no clue about what the problem is. it has space in it. There are like 3 games Facebook and Skype only. I don't know how I could speed it up. I would highly appreciate it if anyone helped me with this problem. Thank you
I actually restored and set it up like a brand new iPod 3 months ago and never used it afterward. I feel like Apple made the iPods extremely slower after the IOS7 came out, because it wasn't that slow and crashing before IOS 7 was released. Anyway I assume that there are no solutions for my problem. Thanks.

It's a iPod 4th generation 32 gigs its cracked kinda bad on the screen but your still able to see it the back has a small dent on the back behind the case when it was taken it had skull candy titian headphones on it
The battery would either be dead by now or the iPod ha been restored. You are out of luck except for finding it the old fashioned way like if you has a wallet or purse stolen.

How many songs depends upon the format of the some. Some are not compressed at al and they take up a lot of storage.
In the Summary pane for the iPod in iTunes you can compress songs that are synced to the iPod. Check the box that says Convert higher bitrate songs to XX kpps ACC. An XX or 128 is a good compromise of quality and compression.
Also,
Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
Come back with the results.
