DSC: Custom IO Server: On Input Change

I have written a custom IO Server VI using DSC Module. Using NI DSM, I see that the server status is 'Active'.
Again using DSM, I change the value of the control that is suppose to trigger the VI to run, but it does not run.
What am I missing? I have been successful at creating several Custom Periodic Servers, but this is my first 'On Input Change'.
Note: I am not using 'shared variable value change notification' in this On Input Change VI, because Lesson 4 of DSC Training leads me to believe that mechanism is not necessary.
Anyone have examples of both types of custom servers?

Okay, I got it to work. Got a new, very simple server code to work. Then removed original library from project, recreated IO server from scratch, added back into project, and now it is working.
Would still like to see examples of both types of custom servers to see how to handle error conditions.. Lesson four says 'make sure VI is robust enough to handle/recover from error, but doesn't give examples.

You must have some kind of BAdI (probably MB_MIGO_ITEM_BADI och MB_MIGO_BADI) that places a value in the field LIFNR (vendor). However, this field is not open for entry and hence SAP ignores the value provided by the BAdI.
Either correct your BAdI so it doesn't populate the field when the latter is not available (e.g. based on the mvt /special stock ind.) or live with this warning message - it is harmless.

BPM worklist in custom portal server

I have extended a domain containing soa, ucm and webcenter with the custom portal template to create a custom portal server. I am trying to integrate the bpm worklist taskflows on a page here. I have managed to get the bpm taskflows in a adf app deployed on a soa server. Most of the soa libraries are targeted to the custom portal server. The page the worklist is displayed on is only displayed to an authenticated user. the page still shows up blank. No errors.
Has anyone here managed to get this working on a custom server?

Changed group membership in WGM 10.6.3 from the 10.6 server. The change takes overnight to work. Formerly ran WGM from my 10.6.8 mac (worked perfectly) but now I am at 10.7.5 and must use WGM on the server. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

If I've understood you correctly I've never known this or anything else to take that long? What were you trying to do exactly?

Custom Reports Server Issue (upgrading 10g to Weblogic 11g)

I am having an issue with "Anonymous' user showing up when I go into the console of the Weblogic server to see all the report requests. In 10g (which we are upgrading from), I have report requests that I do a Preview from within Oracle Forms. When I do the RUN_REPORT_OBJECT/SHOW.WEB_DOCUMENT, it captures the User account and put it in the console with that username. On 11.1.1.4, using same form/report, it doesn't capture the username. If I call the reports server from the database, it does work fine.
Anyone have any ideas if there's something I have to do in Oracle Forms to put that username in or if it's a setting on the Custom Reports Server that i need to set so that it captures the name from the Oracle Forms session.

Now we are using hyperion 11.1.1.3 with ODI 10.1.3. We are upgrading hyperion version 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.2.
Is it possible, to use the same ODI 10.1.3 version to upgrade version(hyperion 11.1.2.2) also?

I have ACS 4.2.0.124.15 installed on a windows server 2008.
In the configuration menu : network config > AAA server , the AAA-server-IP-address change to 169.254.x.x each time I disconnect the ethernet interface of the server.
Allthough, the ip adresse in my network connection of the windows-Lan-connection is set to static.
Whe I reconnect the ethernet interface of the server, it stays in 169.154.x.x. And I need to reconfigure the real static adresse each time.
Do you knows this problem. Is it a way to avoid it ?

After server target is changed via group policy, when user login (roaming profile)first time, the the new server target has not been applied, instead it's pointing to the old folder redirection path.
But if we reset the windows profile (roaming ), the new folder redirection works, can you please specify a solutions that the new folder redirection works when the user login for the first time. so it reduce the time on resetting users profile.
it seems that we need to delete the old folder redirection path from the user profile (roaming user profile) via group policy or similar solutions..

Yes - if you change redirection targets, FR moves content from old to
new, and only if this ends sucessfully, it will update the redirection
target.
Make the old redirection target accessible to the user and you'll be fine.

We are running PS6 UCM, we just leverage blog service provided by webcenter for blog functionality to be implemented.
Is there lighter version of webcenter custom portal server, that we could you just to run blog service and associated (document service) components.

I don't know which license do you have for WebCenter (Portal, Content etc...).
In case of having a WebCenter Portal license (for document services components) Install WebCenter (extended for WCPortal Framework Applications) and just enable the Services or components that you are going to use (like CustomPortal and UCM servers only).

   but when I try to explore advance search in VC it shows me the following error:

The one that Mario is saying is not in NWDS its in CE I guess. I too face the same difficulty. I give the following details that I did in my local CE. MDM DB Migration to Another server (OS may change for DB)

We are currently using MDM 5.6 SP06 with HA (Microsoft Cluster) Active/Passive.
DB and MDM both are running on same machine
Now we want to move our Database to another server (OS May change on target DB).Please note we just want to move DB only not MDM Server component
After DB move to another server we also wanted to have DB in HA, i mean Active/Passive and i know we need additonal to make it HA
Can you please refer us any document which will help us for accomplish this requirement?
Also let us know if there will be any negative implication on MDM Servers component after moving DB to another server
We are also using Oracle failsafe for MDM HA configuration

Hello Augusto,
if i understood you correct only the host of the database is changed. The ABAP and JAVA instances are still running on the same host as before?
If yes then this is pretty easy ... you can shutdown and copy the database with scp/rsync .. or if you have a shared storage you can just remap the disks to the new server.
As you described, that the hostname of the DB host will change you have to do 2 things
1) Change hostname of entries in tnsnames.ora (for more information about tnsnames check sapnote #562403)
2) Change the host connection entry in the secure store of the Java instance (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/de/ec/9432d189c445cdacdc7e520981b4b6/content.htm / Database Schema password should be change or not)

I'm not sure what that means Richard, but I did change the router's IP address from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.5.1- isn't that what you meant in your first post. I know that isn't reflected in my screen capture that I took last night, but I did do that this morning after I read your post.

I tried this- at least to the part about checking the IP address under WAN. I assume you mean the WAN page in the modem setup- nothing looked any different after trying what you suggested, and I'm not really sure where I would be "getting IP in public range" or what that means.
I'm about to give up and just buy a new router to see if I can get the same lack of results with a different one. My ISP maintains that everything is set up correctly on their end and really can't do anything more for me. The Modem works and is set up correctly and they can give tech support for a router.

No. After creation of Invoice even if you change the address for BILL-to-party in Sales order the effect will not be seen on Invoice Output.
For this you have to change the Master record so that on the new Invoice you can see the change.

How to make the server aware of changes in schemas?

It seems that the SOA sever has difficulties with changes in schemas. For instance changes in elements names and/or types.
Is it really nescessary to bounce server for each change?
