DSN - Success notifications

Hi,
I'm in the process of setting up a C350 for the first time, and can't seem to get delivery success notifications to work. I can only find options for soft/hard bounces (which are working) but can't find any options for success notifications. Our old system (Mailsweeper v4.3) was able to generate these.
Any ideas?

Is positive DSN supported in the IronPort Appliance?
DSN stands for "Delivery Status Notification". Positive DSN is a standard notification method that is used by the receiving mail server to notify the sender that the message they sent was sucessfully received.
The IronPort appliance does not support positive DSN based on the following reason. It makes the IronPort appliance vulnerable to Directory Harvest Attack by spammers.
Microsoft Outlook has the option to track delivery from Exchange to the Ironport appliance. From Outlook, go to [Options > Email Options > Preferences > Tracking Options > Delivery receipt]

  • Service Desk NOTIF_CREATE  no more success notification after saving

    Hello experts
    While testing Service Desk before Go-live, the transaction NOTIF_CREATE suddently started to behave abnormaly.
    After fields completion, when the requester presses save and then instead of receiving the successful notification with a message number. The NOTIF_CREATE screen closes and a green arrow can be seen at the bottom of his SAP menu. Looks like OK to the user but creation was not completed successfully.
    In the background, the support message was created with an appropriate number. But many other features like support team determination, automatic workflows, etc. are no more working.
    I tried with different accounts even with SAP_ALL profile, doesn't look to be an authorization thing. I also searched for OSS notes without a clue.
    What do you suggest me?

    I have upgraded to SPS17 and tried with other iBase components without success. I tried in debug mode step by step to see where it was stucked and it's hard to find since no message is returned. Looks like an exception is raised. This happen in the RDSWP_NOTIF_CREATE PROGRAM at line 15. It seems to be an exception of type "2 other". At that precise time, the debugger enters in an endless loop and a yellow exclamation sign is displayed in the status bar. (before it was a green check)
    You talked about reintalling the iBase. The whole iBase with all components? How can I remove the existing iBase and then recreate it and finally have all the components attached as before?

  • Display success notifications

    Hi all,
    In an iView created with VC, I use a BAPI to modify some data in an SAP table. Once succesfully done, I want the Iview to display a "Success message". the message doesn't need to be in a popup window. It could be just a usual portal notification, like the error notifications you get if a BAPI would be called with some incorrect input data (kind of status massage in the top left corner of the iview) or like the success notifications of the portal after saving a modified iview.
    After some investigations, I know that error messages from BAPIs are displayed as portal notifications, if the BAPI provides an output table called Return, which has the same structure as the SAP structure BAPIRET2.
    As in succesfull cases no messages are generated, the return structure is not filled and the portal doesn't show any success notification.
    Any ideas to show "success" notifications in spite of that.

    To answer your first question: I'm using VC6.0.
    Concerning your suggestion to display notifications, I already considered displaying them in a text field. That is however not so elegant, and I thought there should be a way how to invoke the notification interface of the portal.
    Your idea to use labels is interesting and could be better than the text fields variant I described. I however didn't find a way how to change the content of the label dynamically -> There are no behaviour fields (initialization, computation ...) for labels.

  • Successful notification, email nonsent

    Hello,
    I use the "Notification" component available in the component palette, then I modify the ns_mail file in the runtime/config folder, when I activate the process that sent the mail, It is successfully sent by the process, but none email is receive.
    I suppose is some problem with my configuration but, if it is the case, why the process finish with success?
    which could be the cause of my problem?

  • 'Formatting Successful' notification hiding when using Spaces

    Hi,
    I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I'm using:
    DVD Studio Pro 4.2.2
    I use Spaces while I burn DVDs. When formatting is completed I get the message 'formatting succesful'. This would be fine but it hides underneath other windows in other Spaces, so I have to go and find it. This means physically moving every window in every Space sometimes. Is there any way round this? I've looked in preferences and on help, etc. but no joy. It's really annoying!!
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Happens to me too. What I usually do is command+tab over to DVDSP itself instead of going to the space its in and it usually works.

    I'm new to Blackberry and Sybase and I must admit that I'm really hating the lack of info for both...
    trying to write a plugin that will allow me to connect and login to my sybase.
    I'm currently blocked by this line

    loginToSync returns void so ... how do I know if I succeeded with my login or not ?

    I am moving further questions to the thread (SUP for Blackberry) JCo unknown type error when using PT_ARQ_REQUEST* RFC as it might move from the original topic of this one. My question concering SAP login with the SUP is answered. I also found another nice explanation that I want to share:
    1) SUP user info can be synchronized with LDAP but not synchronized with ERP.
    2) SUP uses 1 technical user to connect to ERP
    3) SUP uses 2 filter approaches to deliver data from ERP to devices
      A) use u201Eload parameteru201C to filter data from ERP to SUP
      B) use u201Esynchronization parameteru201C to filter data from SUP to devices
    either of above parameters can use u201Esynchronizaion keyu201C created in device application
    4) u201Esynchronization keyu201C can use device user name/password data

  • If Quality notification as follow up action fails

    Dear all
    I have a situation where Quality notification is configured as a Follow up action once the UD is made.
    So I am getting Create notification screen once UD is filled and SAVE button is clicked.
    In Case some wrong data is entered in the Create notification screen and I am coming out of Notification without saving the notification.
    The status of the inspection lot is getting flipped to UDed as expected.
    But is there any setting where i can define if the Followup action is not successful( Notification not created), then wont make the UD of Inspection lot also. (OR some user status will get updated saying Notif not created etc..)

    Thanks to Anand for his correct feedback.
    Please note that as per standard SAP, unless and otherwise there is a defect created, there can't be a 1:1 link with inspection lot with the notification, though in the notification header table there is a placeholder available (QMEL-PRUEFLOS) to capture this inspection lot field. You are trying to use a follow-up action wherein, after UD you are always creating a notification based on business case. I believe, the FM you are using in follow-up action, is not presently populating QMEL-PRUEFLOS. So there can't be a link to find out when there is failures in notification creation, but UD happening successfully.
    You can try out the below approach -
    Approach - 1
    During the UD save process, there should be additional checks happening. Ask the follow-up FM to update QMEL-PRUEFLOS or TEXT field with inspection lot for all successful notification creation and UD update, and send a confirmation email to approver or task processing partners, or the UD processing user ID (This email part can be skipped in case if this is not required). In case of any failures in notification creation at save, it should truncate the UD save process too and send a message to UD processing user for this failure.
    Approach - 2
    You can create a batch job running at the background to validate for which inspection lot there is no notification created, even though UD is done. Send a mail to the UD processing user to create a notification, as that is not created. User can then create it manually it by updating TEXT field in notification in foreground.

  • Catching a successful provision with errors

    Environment=Idm 7.1.1.4 on Solaris
    I am checking in a view to create an AD account. The provision successfully creates the account, but fails to assign one of the groups for whatever reason. Does anyone know how I can easily detect that the provision was actually successful without having to write a routine to check if the account exists? I would like to send the success notification to the new user's supervisor.

    Strictly speaking, provisioning was NOT successful in case there is any error - even if it is "just" about "some darn group" like in your case. I would NOT work around the error handling of IDM or do something like ignoring/dropping this one error but rather solve the underlying problem on AD.
    There has got to be a reason for the failure of the operation. It is nice the user was created but for what you specified IDM has to do, there still was an error.
    Can you work around the whole thing, meaning, do you have to care about those group assignments at all, are they mapped in Identity Manager or automatically assigned on AD? Could you skip that or is it necessary?

    We are using BO XI R2 . We have reports scheduled Monthly to be distributed to user.  We have set a success notification for all the reports, which is sent to all users.
    The users demand that getting notification for each report is annoying, and wish to get a single notification finally when are reports are executed successfully.

    You could maybe set up something with an event. For instance if they run in a certain order, you could only send the notification out when the last report runs or something like that.

    First, I would really like to thank you Jitendra for helping me out as I was stuck with this thing for a long time now.
    I started afresh for the Push Notification procedure right from creating my own webservice by following Marvin Hoffmann`s blog series using JDBC and Integration Gateway. I then followed your link SMP 3.0 : REST API Application Development.
    This finally led me to create a successful notification message as below (referring http://scn.sap.com/servlet/JiveServlet/showImage/102-49529-4-440047/image3.PNG posted by you) :
    But I was not able to view the logs in my server :
    Is this because I would be missing something. I would also like to state that I was not able to access the web-service url directly from integration gateway but after registering it in SMP, everything worked smoothly.

    I want to send an email from HTMLDB and I see that the HTMLB mail package also use the utl_smtp package to implement this function. So I write a store procedure to send email with the help of utl_smtp and it works. Additional to every send I want a delivery confirmation to the sender adress, because it is very important to see, which mails weren't delivered. I've searched for an parameter to set and found these syntaxes in the "PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference".

    I read at first parts of RFC 1869 (stands in your documentation) but it doesn't help me too much because it wasn't a concrete example there. The best adress is the RFC1891 "SMTP Delivery Status Notifications", that contains a lot of examples like:

    Your documentation is realy good but in this case wasn't really helpful. If you implement a function it were nice to document any input parameter. The user have to read several other documents to get ONE parameter! I personally don't like this. Perhaps there are other users which are really exalted to see such cross references.
    Here is the right syntax for this problem:
    utl_smtp.rcpt(conn, recipient, 'NOTIFY=SUCCESS,FAILURE')
    You get in this way delivery notifications on succeded and failed messages. If you just want to get a delivery success notification just assign the input variable "parameters" with this value: 'NOTIFY=SUCCESS'. There is also a third possible value you can choose: "DELAY". This mean "notify me, if there is an email sending delay".

  • Flash 10.1 for OS X says "install successful" but doesn't work

    I've tried on numerous occasions to download Flash Player 10.1 for OS X 10.4.11 but even though I get the "download successful" and "install successful" notifications, when I try to access a flash site it prompts me to install flash player. If I search for Flash Player I cannot see it in any of the applications or utilities. Please help!! Thanks

    Try uninstalling the current copy of Flash then reinstalling then repair permissions.
    Uninstall Flash
    Install the most recent version of Flash here.
    Adobe advises repairing permissions when troubleshooting Flash.
    Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
    Your Flash plugins are located in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins. You can get information about the plug-in by control clicking the file then click: Get Info

    Site templates
    To support the increasing number of partners building, sharing or reusing  templates to create  new sites, we're extending our site templates support from our partner portal with a new template type and improved  management support. The update is going to enable partners to mark sites as templates and   choose between making them available in Online Business Builder and keeping them private in their partner portal. A template site will not expire and has the same limits as any other trial site.
    Based on your partner level, you can create private or public templates using the Site Details screen or the Tools>My Site Template section from your Partner Portal. Standard partners can only create private templates, while Free Partners can only view site templates that have been transferred to their accounts by other partners.
    The number of templates a partner will have will be limited and will vary based on partner level: free partners can store up to 5 templates in their partner portal, standard partners have up to 100 site templates while Premium Partners might have up to 200 templates. Paid sites marked as templates are not counted against these limits.
    Business Catalyst Partner fixes
    While we are really focused on making the Business Catalyst integration into Creative Cloud a smashing success, we are slowly resuming our efforts to deliver fixes that have been requested by our partners. This release includes the following partner fixes:
    Improved product custom fields - we have increased the maximum number of characters for product custom fields to 1024 (previous limit was 256); this gives partners and customers additional space to use when working with products
    Improved Secure Zone subscribers list - we have added the customer email address in the Secure Zone Subscribers list to enable partners better filter and manage customers
    Better experience when exporting data - to prevent customer confusion when exporting data from Mac computers, we have removed the export to excel option and exporting in CSV format by default.
    Social plugins integration updates
    Starting with our May release, we are updating the social plugins support to require users to get the plugin code from the third party provider and saving into his Business Catalyst website. The module tags and configuration will remain unchanged, but will render an empty tag until the partner or site owner will  update the module template to include the corresponding module code snippet from the third party platform provider.

    Other changes
    Updated weekly emails - Starting with our May release, the information in the site weekly emails has been filtered based on the site's plan. For example, webBasics site reports will no longer include the sales report.
    Localization - we improved and increased the coverage of the admin interface translations into German, French and Japanese
    Site Settings -> Ignored IP addresses has been relocated under Reports -> Visitors -> More.
    BC-Dreamweaver integration performance improvements
    Development Dashboard has been removed, as it didn't provide a clear useful, ongoing benefit. The information present in the development dashboard has been integrated into our new Help & Support section.
    Payment gateway settings - for more privacy and data protection, we have updated the Payment Gateway configuration screens to obfuscate the sensitive login information. Fields that have been obfuscated are now requiring confirmation.
    Report abuse badge on trial sites - for compliance reasons, a "Report Abuse" link has been added to the front-end of all trial sites of free partners that don't have any paid sites. When they click the Report Abuse link, site visitors are redirected to a form submission page on businesscatalyst.com site.
    Issues fixed by May release
    Issues 3051303, 3168786 - Workflow notifications - Fixed a problem preventing workflow notifications emails from being sent.(see get satisfaction forum discussion)
    Issue 3164074 - Fixed a bug causing the lightbox gallery created from Muse to be displayed behind page elements
    Issue 3162810 - Fixed a bug in rendering engine to prevent  content placed between body and head tags being incorrectly moved inside the body tag
    Issue 3166610 - Fixed a broken link to Partner Portal in Internet Explorer
    Issue 3175003 - Fixed an issue that caused an incorrect price display for the Year One-Off Setup Fee when upgrading a site from Admin using CB
    Issue 2567278 - Fixed a bug causing site replication to ignore product attributes
    Issue 2947989 - CRM passwords are now case sensitive
    Issue 2723731 - Removed CSS files from the head section of the Layouts files, when downloaded and opened in Dreamweaver, via the BC extension
    Business Catalyst new admin interface updates
    Added "Save and Add New" button in Web App Item Add & Edit screens (see get satisfaction forum discussion)
    Updated Quick Actions menus to add more actions (see get satisfaction forum discussion)
    Fixed an issue causing Recent items menu to display deleted items (see get satisfaction forum discussion)
    Fixed a display issue on File Manager making top buttons unreachable (see get satisfaction forum discussion)
    Fixed the scrollbars in Email Marketing>Campaign>Stats>Bounced Emails reports (see get satisfaction forum discussion)
    Fixed an issue causing Recent items menu to brake after selecting the current page from the Recent Items menu (see get satisfaction forum discussion)
    Replaced the Success notification displayed when selecting Users or Permissions tabs from User Roles with an Warning
    Change the action label displayed in User Roles list from View to Edit to match the list pattern from Admin Users
    Fixed a missing file JavaScript error occurring when trying to open image manager from product details-> Attributes -> options
    Moved System Emails section from Site Setting to Site Manager (see get satisfaction forum discussion)
    Updated Domain Management interfaces to close the modal window and refresh the domain list after successfully adding a domain
    Fixed an issue preventing the Hyperlink Manager to function properly (see get satisfaction forum discussion)
    Updated the confirmation message received after copying a page to match the new workflow and button names
    Fixed an issue causing the current screen or section to not be highlighted in the menu
    Updated styling on the new dashboard, user management and email accounts interfaces
    Updated  dashboard reports filters and chart display; made the chart and the filter use the site time zone
    Fixed an issue preventing users from inviting new admin users or create new email accounts on Internet Explorer 8
    Fixed an issue preventing users from deleting Email Accounts or Admin Users in Internet Explorer 8
    Fixed some issues preventing password recovery email from being sent
    Removed the alert message displayed when the user or email account limit has been reached
    Added localization for the simplified dashboard
    Fixed display issues for site limits, domains and user list in the simplified dashboard
    Added Custom reports for webBasics plan
    Fixed a bug generating a "500:Collection error" on the simplified dashboard when user did not had View users permission
    Added TOU checkbox in the email account setup screen
    Updated Site Preview link in the dashboard to load the default domain
    Fixed an issue in the new File Manager forcing a user to press Undo twice in order to see the change take effect if the code that was previously formatted contained any <"tag" with more than 2 lines
    Fixed an issue causing the File Manager editor toolbar to incorrectly render if page URL path is longer than certain value; starting with this release, the site URL is trimmed
    Fixed an issue causing the invite users to be displayed as [object Object] in dashboard and admin user list
    Fixed a bug in the new admin causing the interface to become unresponsive when using the browser Back button
    Fixed an issue in the new File Manager causing "Save Draft" button to publish the default page template instead of creating a draft version
    Fixed a broken invite link issue in the Email Account invite email
    Updated loading indicators in File Manager and Email Accounts screens
    What's next
    The first item on the what's next list might not be news for many of you, but it's definitely one of the most important milestones this year. The Creative Cloud launch is just around the corner, and Business Catalyst is playing an important role in that, as the publishing platform for Adobe® Muse and Dreamweaver. This launch will capture all our attention within the next weeks as we want it to be our best ever. 
    We'll start our next development cycle on May 15th, while the next Business Catalyst release is going to be pushed live in mid June. That being said, the following items are already on our launch plan for the next release and a few more will join the list. Please expect an update on our 2012 plans around mid May.
    HTTP throttling – all page load and API calls to BC will be protected against attacks, this might trigger problems for API heavy sites. We are looking into enabling this update along with our June release, and will help make sure that a reasonable number of requests will be accepted from the same computer per minute.
    Automatic site deletion - Starting with the June release, we are going to start automatically delete expired trial sites and canceled sites. Customers will be notified twice before we are going to proceed with deleting the sites.

    What is the customer confusion we are trying to stop here? I've got even more confused customers at the moment because all of a sudden they can't find the export to excel option but know it exists if they log in on a PC?
