DT is correct as per XML input file?

HI,
I am getting a xml file with following structure:
<Request>
-<Field>1</Field>
-<Node1>
--<Field2>2</Field2>
--<Node2>
---<Node3>
<Field3>3</Field3>
<Field4>4</Field4>

<Field3>5</Field3>
<Field4>6</Field4>
---</Node3>
---<Node3>
<Field3>7</Field3>
<Field4>8</Field4>
---</Node3>
--</Node2>
-</Node1>
</Request>
I need to map only Node3 Field3 and Field4 values to the target structure:
I created the DT as below:
MT_Type
-Field1 -
1..Unbound
-Node1----
1..Unbound
Field2--
1..Unbound
-Node2----
1..Unbound
Node3--
1..Unbound
-name--
1..Unbound
value----
1..Unbound
I am getting error in MM, is my DT is wrong? any Inputs?
Thanks
Rajeev

• Please Help with XML input file

I created a flash swf with AS3 and i am loading the data via XML. I have a background that needs to load and I also created a box in which I can change the color via XML. I am have problems writing the XML code. Could someone please help. I'm brand new to this so I don't know if i'm even close. Here is the xml info i have so far. thanks
<data backgroundColor="0x202020" width="400" marginTop="150" marginBottom="150">
COPY GOES HERE

</data>
<backgrounds switchDelay="6000">

</backgrounds>

Yes, it is possible. Unfortunately I can't provide any specifics for an XML data file because we use the "field nominated" format.
Essentially, the data file contains data definition elements and references to the form(s) that the data gets applied to. With the field nominated data file (and an XML file is probably similar) there are two basic methods to do this. One, there is a form reference followed by all the field definitions that are to be applied to that form; then if there are other forms there would be another form reference followed by the fields for that form. Two, the data file would contain data field definitions as "global" fields and this would be followed by all of the form references that these global fields would be applied to; optionally, there would be form-specific field definitions following some of the form references.
In field nominated format this looks like:
^form form-1-name.mdf
^field name
George Jones
^field amount
1234.00
^field date
01/01/2000
^form form-2-name.mdf
^field regarding
Tammy Wynette
^field occupation
country music artist
or
^global name
George Jones
^global amount
1234.00
^global regarding
Tammy Wynette
^global occupation
country music artist
^form form-1-name.mdf
^field date
01/01/2000
^form form-2-name.mdf
As I stated, I don't know how this would look within an XML file but I'm sure the concept would be the same. For the first example there might be a form reference followed by all the associated field definitions. In the second example there would be the global field references followed by the form references with the optional imbedded field reference(s). Or, at least, something similar.
Perhaps someone that uses XML files will provide appropriate samples.

• XML to Oracle interface has same insert count regardless of XML input file

Not sure how to get around this one... I have an interface that simply transfers the contents of an XML file to an Oracle table. I keep getting the same insert count and records regardless of the XML file i'm using.
I was using a properties file with this, but then just decided to use memory to process the file. So, in the physical architecture of the XML topology object, I just specify the file name, xsd and schema.
Any thoughts on what's happening/what to check?

Hi,
I'm having a similar problem.
I've settted up an XML topology using the following jdbc driver and jdbc url:
com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.SnpsXmlDriver
jdbc:snps:xml?f=#XML_Import_Test.CurrFileName&ro=true&dod=true&lf=c:/odilog.log&ll=255
Then in the designer I've created a Package with the following steps:
1) Declare Step for the CurrFileName variable
2) A Set Variable Step for the variable TempFileName. Here I place the value of the file that I would like to process
3) A refresh Step for the CurrFileName variable with the following refresh code: select '#TempFileName' from dual
4) an Interace that maps the xml file that I would like to import to an Oracle Db Table
Now, when I run the package from the designer I've to hit two times the execute button to have the data in the db. The first time that I execute the interface the process is using the previous processed file.
Any ideas on what could be the problem? what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks a lot for all the help
Ben

• XML Input - Business Config. Object

Hello everyone,
I'm having some problems using XML input files to create instances of my custom B.O.
Here is the code for my B.O.:
businessobject SkillBO {
[Label ("Skill ID")][AlternativeKey]element ID:ID;
[Label ("Contact ID")] element contactID:BusinessPartnerInternalID;
[Label ("Primary Skill")]element mainSkill:MAINSKILLSBCOCode;
[Label ("Secundary Skill")]element subSkill:SUBSKILLSBCOCode;
[Label ("Skill Level")] element level:SkillLevelCode;
element nextAvaibleID:IntegerValue;
association ToBusinessPartner to BusinessPartner;
As you can see the "mainSkill" and "subSkill" elements are of a codelist datatype. This codelist is generated by a Business Configuration Object.
I also created Business Configuration Sets to provide values for these elements.
I don't know what values to put in my Excel-file for these elements. I've tried the code, the actual value, etc. ...
But every time I try to upload it (after converting the Excel to XML of course) nothing happens.
For some reason I can't attach the XML, XLS or XSD...
If you need more information, feel free to ask.
Thanks & Regards,
Glenn

Here are some screenshot of my main -and sub skill BCC:
What should I put in the "value"' field in my excel? The ID or the actual value? (1 or ERP)
Thanks & Regards,

• XML input: Node

hi experts.
I can't create an XML input file for my custom BO with node items.
When I export the XML file from the schema, a warning pops up showing that it is not exportable.
Is it because of the schema that I created from Service Integration?
Regards,
May T.

Hello Fred and thank you very much for your help!
That is exactly what I did.
Here is the code of my staging Expense report, the dummy BO:
import AP.Common.GDT as apCommonGDT;
import AP.ExpenseReimbursementManagement.Global as ERM;
businessobject StagingExpenseReport {
element MyInputrow: ID;
element MyExpenseReportID: ExpenseReportID;
element MyEmployeeID: EmployeeID;
element MyExpenseReportTypeCode: ExpenseReportTypeCode;
element MyPeriod: UPPEROPEN_LOCAL_DateTimePeriod;
element MyDescription: LANGUAGEINDEPENDENT_EXTENDED_Text;
element MyReferenceExpenseReportReceiptID: ID;
element MyReceiptTypeCode: ExpenseReportExpenseTypeCode;
element MyReceiptCategoryCode: ExpenseReportExpenseCategoryCode;
element MyAmount: Amount;
element MyPaymentAmount: Amount;
element MyNetAmount: Amount;
element MyReceiptDate: Date;
element SameExpenseReport: Indicator;
But with this BO structure you can only create one Item/Receipt in each Staging Expense report. [1-1] relationship as everything is in the Root node.
So for example, in order to get a standard expense report with 2 receipts, I would need to create two instances of my Staging/dummy BO from the XML, each with one receipt. And using the ABSL to find which dummy BO goes to which Expense Report.
Am I mistaking or I understood well?
Because the thing is we cannot XML upload a child node in a custom BO neither if I got it right.
Thank you very much for your attention.
Best regards.

Is the error message displayed in Firefox or in IE, or in a customized window that doesn't identify the browser?
''If it displays in Firefox:''
It's possible that the Troubleshooter doesn't work correctly unless IE is your default browser. You could test that possibility by having IE make itself the default and testing the Troubleshooter again.
''If it displays in IE or embedded in another Microsoft application:''
In a web search I found these suggestions:
(1) Reset your Internet Explorer settings, according to http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie8-windows_7/cannot-view-xml-using-xsl-style-sheet/ccfe80c6-c0db-4594-a7e3-475f9eac0e85
(2) Try the System File Checker, according to http://ask-leo.com/why_do_i_get_the_xml_page_cannot_be_displayed_after_running_a_microsoft_troubleshooter.html
Any luck?

Hi Suraj,
That option is not available in FTP mode..
This option is applicable only for the File adapter. If you enter a value in this field when configuring the sender FTP adapter, it will have no effect.
Yes, you're right !!
Are you sure that the message is not getting picked in half-way
Now, at this time, I can't see the XML data in the CC monitoring because the tool shows only the recent polling execute in the last 10 minutes. If the error recurs, I will check the payload of CC.
How can I solve the problem with reading incomplete file (FTP mode)?
...Meanwhile I will try with Full cache refresh.
Thanks

• Skipping the content conversion if the input file is an xml file.

Hi,
My source folder contains both text files and xml files.
I want to skip the content conversion if the input file is an xml file and the same Content conversion as to work if the input file is a text file.
Is there any way to achieve this?
Regards
Divia

Hi,
I think u hv to create 2 separate Communication Channels.............. 1 for XML (without Content Conversion), & other for TXT with Content Conversion.
In 1st CC give file name as *.xml & in 2nd give file name as *.txt
Thanks,

• The file size of selected file in input file control is shown as 0 for multiple file selection in Safari 5.1

The file size of selected file in input file control is shown as 0 for multiple file selection in Safari 5.1. If you select single file, then it is able to return file size correctly. However, if you select multiple files, then the file size of each of the selected file is always returned as 0 from javascript. This works correctly in Safari 4.0 but it does not work in Safari 5.1.
How do I get the correct file size in Safari 5.1 ?

If you want to post (or send me) a link to the lrcat file, I'd take a look at it for you, and give you a break-down what's consuming all the bytes. But it might be fun to learn how to do that yourself (e.g. using SQL). I use SQLiteSpy, but other people have their favorites.. (or you can use a command-line client if you prefer..). One way: just run "drop table "{table-name}" on each table then look at filesize (do this to a copy, not the real thing).
Anyway, it's hard to imagine keywords and captions etc. taking much of the space, since even if you had 1000 10-character words of text metadata per photo average that still only adds up to 117MB, which isn't a substantial portion of that 8G you're seeing occupied.
Anyway, if you've painted the heck out of most of them and not cleared dev history, that'll do it - that's where I'd put my money too...
One thing to consider to keep file-size down:
===================================
* After reaching a milestone in your editing, take a snapshot then clear edit history, or the top part of it anyway (e.g. leave the import step), using a preset like:
Clear Edit History.lrtemplate
s = {
id = "E36E8CB3-B52B-41AC-8FA9-1989FAFD5223",
internalName = "No Edit",
title = "Clear Edit History",
type = "Develop",
value = {
settings = {
NoEdit = true,
uuid = "34402820-B470-4D5B-9369-0502F2176B7F",
version = 0,
(that's my most frequently used preset, by far ;-})
PS - I've written a plugin called DevHistoryEditor, which can auto-consolidate steps and reduce catalog size - it's a bit cumbersome to use a.t.m. but in case you're interested...

Your PL/SQL code doesn't produce a valid XML document.
In the XML grammar, "&" is a special character and must be escaped using the character entity "&".
If you were using standard methods to build XML from Oracle (SQL/XML functions for instance), I'm sure you wouldn't have this error.
Please show us the PL/SQL code you're using to produce this XML output and we'll be able to help you further.

• Required Attribute style XML input from BPEL

Hi all,
We are integrating JDE 811 with BPEL using ORACLE SOA Suite 10133.
As per the documentation given http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28996/bpel_pm.htm#CDEICHJB, we created the BPEL process to support transacation from BPEL to JDE 811. As given in the document we generated the WSDL in attribute style. For testing the BPEL Process, they have given the XML input in the document in the format of attribute style as given below :
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<soap:Body xmlns:ns1="http://xmlns.oracle.com/GetYearDescription_SYNC">
<ns1:jdeRequest type="callmethod">
<callMethod name="GetYearDescription" runOnError="no">
<params>
58
</params><onError abort="yes"/>
</callMethod>
</ns1:jdeRequest>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
and the output we received as
<GetYearDescription_SYNCProcessResponsehttp://xmlns.oracle.com/GetYearDescription_SYNCPSFTcallmethodDV811*ALL>
<callMethodGetYearDescriptionnourn:iwaysoftware:jde/services/JDEJAVA_CMFGBASE/B3000260/GetYearDescription>
<params>
<parammnCalendarYear>58
<paramszYearDescription>2058
</params>
</callMethod>
</GetYearDescription_SYNCProcessResponse>
But, if we use the current schema and give input using normal HTML form on the BPELConsole then the error comes like
WSIF JCA Execute of operation 'GetYearDescription' failed due to: Error in processing the input document.; nested exception is: javax.resource.ResourceException:
Error in processing the input document.

</part><part name="detail"><detail>javax.resource.ResourceException: Error in processing the input document.
that is why for outbound integration we need to give raw XML during runtime as input to the bpel process in bpel console manually. and that input looks like
Also in real time scenario, we are receiving the XML input from a third party software/Adapter that may be a flat file/.xml flat file/DB and we need to pass the similar data in BPEL to the JDE 811. Here we are not able to pass the data to JDE as the adapter accepts the input in attribute style XML.
If we are trying to enter that input through a flat .xml file then it returns no data, as nothing is passed to that process.
Any idea how we can process this without giving raw xml input manually during run time, means using normal HTML Form.
if it is not possible then please tell me what will be the required XML that we have to pass as input in that flat file.
Thanks,
Anindya

Hi All,
SOAP based input is required for any BPEL process for testing in BPEL Console.
We have created a BPEL process which is successfully receiving data from 3rd party and it is not in a SOAP format.
That is why we are entering input manually (I have already described input in above post) while testing that BPEL process. and we can receive proper output (i have already specified what i am getting as output in my above post.)
But in real time scenario we cant give input manually.
how can we achieve SOAP based invocation during runtime??
I hope my question is clear to all.
please suggest me if anybody have any idea about this.
Regards
Anindya

• Syndicating multiple Outputs for 1 Input file

Hi SDners,
When I am syndicating records output is splitting into 2 Files for 1 Input file.
Example:- 10 records are there in Input file. While importing Import Manager Identifies 2 records as Duplicates and it will create only 8 records in MDM. While syndicating these 8 records are splitting into 2 output files. I want these 2 output files in 1 Output File.
This is not happeneing everytime, Only some times. If I process the same file agian in MDM then it will syndicate in 1 Output file only.
I configured Parameters like this:
Suppress unchanged records=Yes
Max Records per Output file=0
XML File Output=Single File (All Records)
and the PORT Map also like this
"Processing type=Automatic"
"Processing Interval=Continues".
Still I facing the Same problem.
Why it is happening only sometimes. If I configured the parametrs wrongly then it should syndicate everytime output into 2 file. But it is happening only once in a Week like that tooo 1 or 2 files only.
MDM Version I am using is : SAP MDM 5.5 AP06 (5.5.63.71). Any help ASAP.
Thanks
Kiran

Hi Kiran,
Can you check the key mappings for the records .If you have multiple key mappings maintained and you have overridden the key mapping in the remote systems property then MDM will generate identical copies for each remote key
Thanks
Vinay

• Automating Rendering of XML Input

I have written a few scripts to generate the correct XML file representing everything I want the final output to contain. Now I want to automate the process of rendering these input files. I was expecting Compressor to just take the XML as input, but I realize now that FCP has to do the rendering.
Since I want to have this be done as batch jobs on a cluster of systems, what is the most efficient approach?
Thank you,
A.

Can you get Apple Q Master to see the same scripts and render across multiple nodes that way? It works for Shake in that manner, if you can write the code in the shell or use the generic render as a starting point this might be the best route.

• XML INPUT parameter in a MII BLS Transaction

Hi.
Please anybody has some good XSD file that can be used as a data type for a xml input parameter of a BLS Transaction ? could share it with us ? I will use it as a sample to create my own XSD file.
Until now, all XSD files that I created worked but I could not import the webservice on ECC.

Hi Stephen Kuykendall, thank you.
I still have to following error message when try to execute the webservice in wsnavigator:

Missing top level component (uri: 'http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/'; name: 'GET_DETAILS').
I created a XSD file and put your xsd contente there:
