DTD for config.xml is this accurate.

Where is the current DTD for the config.xml. The one I copied from the bea web site
seems inconsistent with the config.xml generated when I did the installation. I
tried using it with XEmacs and psgml. It didn't like the attributes in the Domain
tag. Perhaps I am doing something wrong, it's been known to happen. Before I start
trying to debug this on my side, I'd like to know if I have the correct DTD. Can
some one clarify this for me?

Steven,
The config.xml DTD :
http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs70/config_xml/configdtd.html#111643
Deepak
Thanks Deepak,
That generates errors when I open it in Tibco's Schema Editor. For one it didn't
like the '(Deprecated)' strings. There were a few values assigned as default, which
were not in the list of constraints, and, perhaps a couple of other reported errors.
Also, once I fixed up the few error I encountered in the DTD, I found errors in
the config.xml generated by WL 7.0. For example there are attributes in the xml
file which are not in the DTD. One of these is "Deployed" in the "Application" Element.
Methinks something is amiss here.

    Hi all,
    where can I find the DTD for the deployment file that is to be used in .par file for the custom providers for Portal Server 6.0 and 6.2. ?
    Thanks,

    in case you mean portlets then it is:
    portlet.xsd contains reference to http://www.w3.org/2001/xml.xsd.
    in case you mean providers, e.g. smpleMailservice:
    /ps-base/SUNWam/dtd/sms.dtd
    or

  • Where can I find the schema for config.xml file of jax-rpc

    For the xrpcc tool I need to create a config.xml file, does any body know where can I find the schema for it?

    http://java.sun.com/webservices/docs/1.0/tutorial/doc/JAXRPCxrpcc.html and all your questions will be answered... except maybe why aren't these pages linked from the main index anymore? (they were when 1.0 of the tutorial was released, but then there were no docs for wscompile or wsdeploy. The JAX-RPC release notes fixed the latter, but around 1.0_01 they broke the former.)

  • Renamed struts-config.xml

    Hello,
    We have multiple struts-config.xml files in our project and the one I created for my part using JDeveloper 9.0.3.4 has been renamed. No I can no longer edit it using the wizard. Is there a way I can get this functionality back without renaming back to struts-config.xml?
    Thanks
    Natalie

    Natalie,
    JDeveloper 9.0.3.4 does not support an other name than struts-config.xml. This is a problem that has been fixed with JDeveloper 10g.

  • DTD for an "unknown" document-structure

    Is it possible to write a DTD for a XML-Document, whose structure I don't know exactly. In the example below, I don't know the content of the tag c, but I would like to write a DTD for the rest of the document. Are there any possibilities to do this?

  • How to access Datasource tag info (struts-config.xml)  in POJO

    Hello friends,
    I am doing a project in struts.I have stored the database connection information in data-source tag of struts-config.xml file.This is the code.
    <data-sources>
    <data-source>
    <set-property property="autoCommit" value="false"/>
    <set-property property="description" value="oracle Data Source"/>
    <set-property property="driverClass" value="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"/>

    <set-property property="url"
    value="jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:gd"/>
    </data-source>
    </data-sources>
    Now I want to access this data in POJO.I know how to use it in action class but unable to use it in POJO.To access it in action class , the code goes like this....
    ServletContext context=servlet.getServletContext();
    DataSource datasource=(DataSource)context.getAttribute(Action.DATA_SOURCE_KEY);
    Connection con=datasource.getConnection();
    Can anyone tell me what to do?.Any help will be highly appreciated.Thank you in advance.

    You will need to use the JSR 88 API to access deployment descriptor configuration.
    See the Programming Deployment for Oracle WebLogic Server documentation for more information.

  • Configuring config.xml

    Hi,
    I am trying to configure the config.xml file and printing the configured
    output to a file. Can anybody recommend a utility to print the xml output
    with the readable xml spacing (something akin to a pretty print).
    Thanks,
    Tej

    Using JDOM (http://www.jdom.org), I believe you can just toString() the
    document object. I am not sure how it handles the various XML spacing
    issues, or if that will even pose a problem for config.xml.
    Our own XML package supports pretty vs. compact format as well, and avoids
    the XML spacing issues even with pretty-printing option and multi-line text.

  • Missing config.xml after unpacking

    Hi, I installed 11g on two machines. I'm following the steps on the wonderweblogic post mostly except that instead of copying the whole directory, I wanted to use the pack utilities. When I setup the domain, I created a cluster of two machines. Then I used pack.sh and passed it -managed=true. Then I unpacked it on my second machine. The directory structure looks ok. When I try to start up the second machine with startManagedWeblogic.sh server2, I get:
    weblogic.management.ManagementException: [Management:141249]The configuration directory /home/weblogic/test/config is missing the file config.xml and the admin server is not available to download it.
    at weblogic.management.provider.internal.RuntimeAccessImpl.parseNewStyleConfig(RuntimeAccessImpl.java:213)
    There isn't a config.xml on this machine but there is a config_bootstrap.xml that looks correct..similar to the config.xml from the first machine. The first machine's admin server and managed server are both running correctly. What did I do wrong? thanks.

    I use this sort of syntax, explicitly giving the domain directory.
    ./pack.sh -managed=true -domain=/orclapps/oracle/middleware/user_projects/domains/SOADomain -template=/tmp/soa_domain_template.jar -template_name=soa_domain_template
    and then on the 2nd node ( after copying the template jar )
    ./unpack.sh -domain=/orclapps/oracle/middleware/user_projects/domains/SOADomain -template=/tmp/soa_domain_template.jar

  • DTD for data-management-config.xml

    Is the data-management-config.xml file structure somewhere
    explained? I wonder why isn't this file (as well as all the other
    FDS config files) validated against a DTD or XML schema?
    I'm trying to configure multiple parameters for a destination
    server method, without success so far. The following attempts have
    all failed
    <server>
    <fill-method>
    <name>getFolderContent</name>

    </fill-method>

    <name>getFolderContent</name>
    <params>java.lang.String</params>

    I want to pass in a Java String and a boolean (the

    Thanks a bunch, that was it. Any ideas where I can find DTSs
