DTP Requests-Creating Mail Alert

Hi Gurus,
I want to trigger a mail alert for the requests in the particular infocube. Conditions should be,
1) Info Cube should contain only 4 requests. Among 4, 2 requests(long loads) were loaded once in a month and remaining 2 (short loads) were loaded once in a day.
2) Need to check the selection conditions in the request. For long load ( selections, 0CALMONTH=201007-201008;) and for short load (selections, 0CALMONTH=201007-201008;)
3) No overlap of the requests.
4) No gaps between them.
Based on above conditions i need to create a process chain, with abap program to trigger a mail alert. Here i need to know the logic to check the above conditions, means table names where we can find the details of above requirement (for example: RSBKREQUEST) with the logic to implement the same.
Please help me in this task.

If you don't want to use the triggering event, you will have to do this manually.
Manually:
- Create a Web Link on the SR with and embed the mailto: function with the receivers email and subject and body embedded in the url (you can find this link on Google)
- When this link is clicked, an email window will open with all the details you provide, and you can click the send button to send the email.
- You will have to do this manually every 10-15 days or whatever is the duration
Auto:
- Create a time based workflow on a new Opportunity Created event
- create a action to send an email notification to the concerned person (details in the workflow properties)
- This workflow will auto send an email every 10-15 days to the opportunity Manager.
The time based workflow is the best option I see. Do you see any issue/ concerns with auto generated emails?

Create Mail alerts without using System_Mail_send

Hi Everyone,
We have Redwood version M33.7-44392. We have bought the license for alert module and we configured and it works fine when i send a mail using the job definition System_Mail_Send. Now, our requirement is to receive the details like Job name, logs, system where it was running in the mail.
I referred the Administrator guide, and they use the Mail send Job definition type as step2 in a job chain. Is this is the only way?
In this case i have to re-schedule all my jobs as job chains which is tedious and i'm skeptical whether this method will send all the information that i need using this method.
Please let me know the other ways or direct me to the respective guide links.

SInce you have the Alerting module you can set up Job Definition Alert sources in the alerting tab where you can customize your emails.

How to create multiple DTP REQUESTs with expert routine ?

Anyone know if it's posible to create new dtp request's manually from an expert routine, i want to write manually to 2 different ODS in the same expert routine the first is for success records and the second is for rejected records, the problem is that the routine only writes a new request for the succeed record and the rejected records are writed with abap to the other ODS manually without request ID

Just create a direct update DSO for collecting the rejected records.
Use the function module RSDRI_ODSO_MODIFY for populating this DSo from the transformation ABAP coding.
The direct update DSO will be having the rejected records after execution of the DTP and the correct records will be processed to the target DSO (correct records)

Creating first Alert - not sending email

Hi guys, hoping someone can point me in the right direction for creating an Alert.
I've followed :
How Do You Set Up A Test Event Alert That Sends An Email. [ID 455688.1]
However once I've got my alert created, when I carry out the step to update the table which should result in an email, I get nothing.
Can anyone suggest what might be wrong ?

1. Navigate to the Alert > Define window in Oracle Alert manager.
2. Use the 'Alert' for the application.
3. Check the enabled checkbox.
4. Enter 'Test Event Alert Email' for the Name.
5. Select Event tab.
6. Enter 'Alert' for the application.
7. Enter the 'ALR_DISTRIBUTION_LISTS' table.
8. Check either the 'After Insert' or 'After Update' check box, or both.

In productive scope XI the configuration of the alert has been presenting/displaying some problems, I believe that you can be so that in these machines it exists to cluster, because in atmospheres DES and QA this working as it corresponds.
The problem is that the message that is sent by mail is different from the mail defined in the category of alert

A6: In the transaction SM59 check the R/3 connection CentralMonitoringServer-XIAlerts.If it doesn't point to the new Alert Server, delete it. It will be created automatically with the correct host when the next alert is created (provided the information in the Exchange Profile has been updated).

Calendar is creating unwanted Alerts

I use Calendar on iCloud across four devices: iMac, MacBookAir, iPad and iPhone. All running current (10.8.3; 6.1.3) OS.
Recently, Alerts are being added to my Calendar events on the iOS devices, and I don't know how this is occuring.
Example: Suppose I create a recurring event in Calendar on my iMac... to Get Up at 6 a.m. every day, and I make sure I don't create an alert. That event appears on my iMac with no alert.
However, when I open it on my iPad and iPhone, it has an alert: At time of event. Where did this come from?
I have checked that all default alerts are set to off in Calendar preferences on the computers, and also on the iOS devices in Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Calendars / Default, and also accessing iCloud preferences via Safari.
I have tried logging out of my iCloud account on both iOS devices, deleting everything, and signing on, and it does the same thing with every single event. It adds the alerts that I don't want.
Also intriguing, if I DO set an alert in a new event on the iMac, the event shows up on the iOS devices with TWO alerts.
This began out of the blue about two weeks ago, and I can't find a solution. I am getting a lot of alerts that I do not want.
Does anyone else have the same problem? ...And hopefully a solution?

I'm having a similar problem. The Calendar app in iOS (iPhone 4S) is automatically setting for me a second alert for events that is nine hours after the event itself. I have not set any second alert as a default, and even if I did I wouldn't set the alert for nine hours later. Still, I changed my default alerts on Calendar in both iOS and OSX (Mountain Lion) to "none"; I have switched off iCloud sync for Calendar; and I have made sure my reminders in Google are also set to "none". I am still having the problem. I have visited my local Apple store. Unfortunately, the associate didn't understand why I was having the problem either and thus could offer no solution. The only thing that works is going into the Calendar app and manually deleting the second alert for each event, which isn't really a solution to the problem. I have sent a report into Apple about this, but I too welcome any advice.

How to send e-mail alert to the user job is successful or failed.

Hi Experts,
I have scheduled a job using DBMS_JOB Package; in this job I am calling a procedure.
How can we send an e-mail(alert) to the user if the job is successful (or) job fails.
If the job is successfully completed, then we have to send mail as “Job is completed successfully along with job name”.
If the job fails we have to send email as “error message of the job along with job name”(why the job is failed).
This alert should be sending automatically no manual intervention.
Please help me.

I think you can do by creating mailing procedures and call it in the loop and outside the loop.
There would be two procedure one in inside loop which will execute after successfull completion of the loop.
Other would be in the exception block like i shown in the below code you have written;
V_variable_1 you can use as a parameter for what is the error occured.

Sync issues with Google Calendar and e-mail alerts

Hello,
I'm experiencing a lot of problems with iCal while I'm trying to sync it with Google Calendar. I have correctly inserted my Google account information into iCal, but:
when I create a new event and I disable the e-mail alert and save it, it automatically turns on the e-mail alert! Is there a way to disable by default all alerts? I have already tried to go to Settings - Advanced and select “Disable all alerts” with no result;
all the events I create into iCal are correctly synced with Google Calendar and I can correctly read them on the web app, but in my android device they don't have the time information (they are listed as all-day events)

E-Mail Alerts/User Accounts

Hi folks,
Is it possible to configure an e-mail alert to the Admin team to flag up when a user has locked their account?
Not interested in any automatic unlocking or anything of that nature. Just a simple e-mail alert.

Hi Paul, it should be a nice & easy one for them. A couple of gotcha's to look out for:
1. Lock codes - unless you really want to, don't report on admin lock codes otherwise you could have some fun and games when you have to do a mass lock...
2. Only picking up locked ID's that were locked since the last run. A few years back we had a program coded and the developer forgot this. As a result we kept on getting lists of locked users that had been reported but had not requested their ID's to be unlocked yet.
3. Being careful with the period of the report - can be a pain to keep getting stuff in your inbox unless it is really mission critical and you want to spend loads of time chasing users about.

E-mail alerts - how do I?

I'm wanting to send out an e-mail alert for one of my iCal events. It is something I think will be very useful to do automatically. The docs are so limited, I'm wondering if iCal is as limited as what's listed when searching help.
I'm just starting to get into iCal and hope it can make my scheduling complete.
1) I want to know how to get the program to know my address. My own info is already in my address book but it says I need to add myself there. Confusing how to set that up.
2) How to have an e-mail alert sent to people through e-mail to get their work to me by a certain date -- a reminder to them.
If iCal does NOT do these things, I would appreciate knowing so I could look to other applications to handle these actions. And suggestions for that would be very welcome as well.

Still on Tiger with iCal Version 2.0.5 (1069)

1) go to Address Book, select your contact card, make sure you have the right info there, and make sure the first email listed is the one you would like people to use when accepting your invitations from ical, then while your contact card is still selected go to card>make this my card, which will make your card "my card" so that ical knows which card is yours and which email to use.
2) in ical, double click on a day in week view, this will create a new event, then double click on that new event, this will bring you in edit mode so you can start adding info to that new event. you will notice an attendee field, add the attendees there - they should all be entered as contacts in your Address Book so it is easier to add them to an event, rather than adding manually every time, make sure you enter data in all the other fields. in the note field i would suggest you add info telling the attendees when to get their work back to you or by which date... then when done editing click the done button, the event will exit edit mode and an email will be sent to all the attendees. additionally, you will notice that an alarm can be set, so set up an alarm as an email and address it to one of your emails, minutes/hours/days before the event, that way an email will be sent to you reminding you of the event. once you receive this reminder in your inbox, you can forward that email to the attendees. to make it easy to forward to your attendees, i would create a group in your Address Book and add all the attendees to that group - file>new group, name the group then save and then drag and drop each attendee card to that group - so that way when forwarding, in the to field of the email you will just select the group and click send.

Can I have only certain e-mails alert me with a tone and let all others remain silent in iOS5? I use my phone for work and want to assign e-mails from specific people to audibly alert me and let all the rest remain silent so I'm not bothered by unimportant e-mails. My old Blackberry let me do this for years but so far can't get my iPhone to do it. Is this available with iOS5?

We are using SAP CRM 6.0. I was configuring e-mail alert for the managers whenever a transaction is created in crm. The mail is delvering but iam not able to send the object id and transaction category. Please help.

I bought this phone specifically for this feature and I can't for the life of me get any alert for my Yahoo mail account.
I've downloaded the Yahoo App from the Nokia store and have checked the "activate e-mail alerts" box and that doesn't work.
I've logged into my Yahoo account and tried to connect it that way but there are no options to do so.
I've followed the link on the Yahoo site where they have sent a link to me via text to sync it that way and no joy.
Aaahhhh, its driving me crazy!!!!!

How to construct request related mail using OIM email api?

Hi,
I need to send an approval notification to a group.
The group is decided at runtime by a task assignment adapter.
So I have kept a java task in the task assignment adapter after sending the request to the approver.
This java task is called after sending the request to notify the approver via email.
I am able to send the email notification this way.
But the issue is:
1. the email definition being used for approval is request related
2. I am using tcEmailNotificationUtil.constructProvisionEmail api for constructing the mail.
3. Hence the request ID info is not coming in the email being sent(obviously)
But I donot see any request related mail api in this class. What should I do to reflect the request info in the email then?

XI Mail Alerts - problem

Hi all!
I created XI Alerts, which send e-mail when error occurs. Everything working fine but i have one problem.
I created scenario - ERP to File. For my tests I change target directory (to not existing on server) in File Receiver communication channel configuration. I get error email from XI server, and this is OK. But I get this e-mail every 5 minuts over and over until I fix up communication channel. When I fix channel up, everything is OK (mail is not send). I want to get only one e-mail message when error occurs.
Plesae tell me where I can configure that. Thanks

That can be achieved by configuring different "Alert Configuration".
But am not sure whether if "Alert Configuration 1" is given "Supress" Checked on"
Wonot allow other "Alert Configuration 2 & 3".
What u get if u create seperate "Alert Config" and check that option.
i suspect u will not get other messages whether if that is from different Message id. Unless u r first message is read.
This functionlity of RWB seems to be set back.
Any views
