Dump a Message object to file, rebuild later- Possible or no?

Hello all-
I need to pass along a Message object (a mail object) from one component (an Enterprise JavaBean) to another (Also an EJB). Thing is, I want to put it in an XML file- in other words- is it possible to dump a message object as a raw text file, then rebuild it at the destination?
Now, I guess the problem here is that the Message-class isn't serializable. Can anyone think of any clever workarounds to this??

I don't think you can do it with a message class,
but if what you're looking for is for the raw text of the email you can use the MimeMessage class and use the
message.writeTo(outputStream) function to put the
source of the email into a particular stream

For sure "java -jar post.jar" works as any other your desktop application.
So you can do everything from your java code, packed into post.jar

Mapping Error - Dump source message to file adapter comm channel

Hi
Does anyone know of a way to dump the source message to a file adapter comm channel if - and only if - the message fails during mapping. For example, we receive a message from a trading partner that lacks an element that is mandatory during the mapping. When the mapping fails, the source message is sent - as is - to a file adapter comm channel.
I don't need anything more than the source message i.e. no need for any errors etc... to be included.
The kicker.. I would like to do this without using BPM if at all possible.

Hey Ram,
Go to Integration Directory and open the Receiver Determination for your scenario.
Check the configured receiver services. They are in a table-like area in the middle of the screen.
In this table of configured receiver services for that particular Sender Service/Interface, you should have the system that normally receives that message (your ERP or any other application system) and the service that contains the receiver file comm channel that will receive the message in case of error.
Check help.sap.com for help on condition editor on receiver determinations.
Now, the issue. You can only check whether a field exists, you can't check whether it doesn't exist (There's only a "EXIST" operator, and no negative operator). Thus, you can only do the following: always send messages to File, but you can avoid messages that dont have field from being sent to App System. Yeah, that sucks...
But don't fear, young padawan! There is a possible workaround. =D
In your message mapping, do the following for that particular field:
If field exists (check with Exist and IF standard functions) just bypass the field. Else, map the field with an impossible value (like string "$CREATED$"). Then, in your receiver determination, you will do the following conditions:
for App System: If field =/= $CREATED$
for File Receiver: If field = $CREATED$
Now, if the field doesnt exist, it will have value $CREATED$, thus the message will be sent to File and not to App System. If the field exists, the message will be sent to App and not to File.
Try that out.

Sounds like you opened and saved it in CC, so now you need to go back to CC and either complete the project there, or export to IDML to take it back into CS6.

Do as it says: Put your downloaded 7z file and the *.exe in a proper folder, not just dump it onto your desktop or whatever.

Using FF to access my AOL emails I get "There was an error while loading the message. Please try again later." Access is OK via Chrome, IE & AOL's own desktop.

"There was an error while loading the message. Please try again later." is a recent (3/4 days) error message I get when accessing my AOL emails. I can access the page and move them between states but cannot open them to read. Chrome, IE and AOL's own desktop open emails OK & can access them from the wife's PC using my AOL details. Have cleaned the history tab of everything in FF, have also removed it with add/rem progs and reinstalled - still I get the above message.
PC - W7 Pro 64 bit, 16GB RAM etc.

In AOL email, checking individual messages in the regular system results in this error message: There was an error loading the message. Please try again later.

In accessing AOL email through the full version, I can navigate within my account (old mail, new mail, spam, etc.) fine, but when I try to open an individual email, I get this error message: "There was an error loading the message. Please try again later."
This is identical to a problem someone else was describing in another thread....unfortunately, nothing you suggested to him seemed to be working. I WAS tricked into opening a file attached to an email immediately before this started, so I think its a virus or something. ANYWAY....I AM able to open the messages when I use AOL's basic version. Initially, the problem seemed only to be in Firefox, but I've tried with Internet Explorer now also, and its the same thing, and the basic version is accessible while the full version is still blocked.
On both browsers, following the error message, I can't even click on the individual messages to TRY to open a different one, and there are some not-quite-right boxes and x's and things that appear on the screen that don't belong.
PLEASE tell me you can't make this go away....I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox....that didn't work. I've also fun McAffee, and that didn't change anything.

You can do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

Error messages while executing File - RFC - File.

I am doing a File - RFC - File scenario from Raj's blog.

I am getting series of error messages.
Someone please drive me in the right way. I am following each and every step in the same way mentioned there.
1. Everytime the file is picked up, i can see 3 messages in Moni. One from File - RFC. 2 messages from RFC - File. I changed the sender QOS with BE and EO and EOIO. but all the time it shows 3 messages. Why are 3 messages executing for this scenario? what should be QOS on the sender File CC?
2.. It throws a error message in response message for WS - RFC as .... RFC Adapter application error.
I re created CC, re imported RFC, searched for that erorr message in sdn and followed everything. no luck
3. Of the other 2 messages in MONI (RFC - WS), one of them shows error messageg as 2 and the other one shows a error message that Interface mapping does not exist in run time cache.
I re created IR objects again, I created MI for RFC which I dint do earlier, I re mapped, activated, did all cahce refreshes in SXI_Cache, CPA delta and full cache refresh.
But still it shows up the same error message.
Can you guys tell me whats bad going on with my scenario?

From this line:

It seems there might be a problem in RFC Adapter. Can you see the error in Communication channel Monitoring what error it is showing. Probably the communication between PI and SAP might be a problem. If you put the error here, somebody might be able to help you out.

Java heap space error occured during message mapping of FILE to IDOC

hello Friends,
I am trying to do the message mapping for File to Idoc scenario.
Idoc which I am using is HRMD_A.HRMD_A06 and infotype which I want to update is 14. I am trying to map the message type which I hav created for infotype 14 with the IDOC
Its very simple scenerio but every time I try to save the mapping before activating it I get an error:
Java heap space
Internal problem occurred (INTERNAL_PROBLEM)
Java heap space.
I am not able to figure out what possibly is the problem wheather its from my end or the BASIS end.
Kindly help.

As the server probably survives (you restart your Integration Builder and can probably connect immediately), the problem will be on your side (client). Did you add one or more large xml-test-instances to the mapping ? If yes, delete them, because they lower the performance and can make problems. If not, then this is a strange problem. Even if the Idoc structure is complex, the mapping object itself cannot be that large.Is this problem only with this one mapping ?

Saving a Class Object to file

Hi guys.
If i have a Class object (an instance of "java.lang.Class"), is it possible to write that object to file so i end up with a .class file somewhere on my computer?

Hope i didnt cause any conflict here guys.
Just to clear things up:
when i wrote my original request, i hadnt even heard of Serialization so that was not my request. After being told about it, i tried it out but the output file produced didnt work like a normal .class file.
I havent yet gone into researching the byte-code library idea, but it does sound promising.
I think ejp grasped what i was getting at. Sorry if i confused anyone with my request, i didnt realise it could be interpreted in multiple ways.

During writing for archiving object FI_MKKDOC, file is not getting created

Hi Experts,
I am new to archiving concept & have one archiving object FI_MKKDOC which i have to complete as soon as possible.
In this i have done all the basic settings & when i am excuting the transaction after putting production variant & scheduling it as immediate with LP01 printer.Job is finished successfully but in the log there is no message for any file creation. I have checked AL11 transaction also, no file is getting generated. Please help, we have configured the logical file ARCHIVE_GLOBAL_PATH and ARCHIVE_DATA_FILE.

dont you have a spool file for this archiving job? This should usually list errors that prevented an item from beeing archived, and if nothing was archived, then no file exists.
When you define a variant for the write step, then select full detailed log in the lower part of the selection screen, especially if it is the first time that you archive with this object.
Further, please read the docu behind the blue info button in the selection screen. This tells you the sequence you have to use for the archiving as well as other important details.

Check-in of uploaded object library file (olb) in Repository corrupts file

For version control purposes we standard upload all files we need to generate our forms. This also includes application specific object libraries. When a change is needed we:
- checkout the *.olb file in Repository
- download it to the file system
- make changes to file on file system
- upload new version of *.olb to Repository
- check in the file in Repository
The following thing happened (note that no changes were made to file):
- checkout the *.olb file in Repository (file size = 428 KB)
- download it to the file system (file size = 428 KB)
- Open this *.olb in Forms Builder -> OK
- upload same *.olb to Repository (file size = 428 KB)
- download it again to the file system (file size = 428 KB)
- Open this *.olb in Forms Builder -> OK
- check in the file in Repository (file size = 427 KB !!!)
- download it again to the file system (file size = 427 KB!!!)
- Open this *.olb in Forms Builder -> Error
After downloading this file to the file system and opening it in Forms Builder you get the following error message: 'PDE-PLI011A Tools common schema object is missing from the object store'. On metalink you can find additional information on this error; bottom line is that the file is corrupt.
I repeated the above twice and it is reproducible with the olb file
Anyone else seen this problem? We use Designer 6i version 6.5.90.0.14

I think a found the root cause myself. In our repository we have keyword expansion installed which will fire upon checkin of objects (including files). I suspected that this functionality somehow corrupted the olb files. After excluding olb files from keyword expansion the problem disappeared.

Message object returns SharedByteArrayInputStream instead of Multipart.

I am using java Mail API v 1.3.1 to access POP3 server.
I am getting problem while I try to read an RTF message from POP3 server.
When I try to access the data through getContent() method on javax.mail.Message Object, it sometimes gives me correct result as a Multipart data, while sometimes, it returns an object of type com.sun.mail.util.SharedByteArrayInputStream.
Although it returns SharedByteArrayInputStream object, when I invoke getContentType() on Message Object, it returns Multipart as correct.
I think this is some problem with the JavaMail API.
Going specifically, I use the POP server : ksc.th.com

the javamail jar delivers a file named 'mailcap' in the META-INF dir of the library jar with
the following content:
text/plain;;          x-java-content-handler=com.sun.mail.handlers.text_plain

text/xml;;          x-java-content-handler=com.sun.mail.handlers.text_xml
multipart/*;;          x-java-content-handler=com.sun.mail.handlers.multipart_mixed
message/rfc822;;     x-java-content-handler=com.sun.mail.handlers.message_rfc822
now while creating the default instance of MailcapCommandMap (activation framework),
this class is searching the 'mailcap' file in the META-INF dir. if 'mailcap' is not found, the
activation framework don't map these mimetyps.
workaround:
make sure, that the MailcapCommandMap can find the mailcap file in META-INF or in user.home dir
or
map manually (javax.activation.MailcapCommandMap):

I'm facing the same error even when the server time out is more than the query execution time of the report.By server time out I assume connection time out of WebI report server which I have set to 180 min.But the actual query takes maximum of 5 min.
We are using BO XIR2+SP2.
I scheduled a webI report to get saved in Excel format to an Unmanaged disk location upon a File Event.
We have 3 such reports to be scheduled on the same event.
Expected frequency of File Event getting fired in a day is twice.Scheduling frequency I have set it as every one hour with the file event.
This usually should work fine.
But frequently 1 or 2 of the above 3 instances are getting failed with the following error "Object could not be scheduled with in specified time interval " after being in Running state for few hours(8). Amazingly this is not happening every time. May be once or twice in a week.This works fine after I restart the BO services and the same thing repeats after 3 or 4 days.
Do I need to increase any server parameters?
Why is this happening randomly?
