Duplicate class definition error while invoking EJB from ADF project

Hi,
I am using Jdeveloper TP3 and facing the following problem.
I have built an EJB project and am ran them successfully in the embedded OC4J via a standalone java program.
Now I created another project with ADF capabilities and when I tried to ping the EJB i get the following exception
The application named, current-workspace-app, could not start due to an error.
duplicate class definition: javax/faces/context/FacesContextFactory Invalid class: javax.faces.context.FacesContextFactory Loader
This is happenning due to class conflicts between javaee.jar and trinidad-impl.jar/adf-richclient-impl.jar.
Is there any way of bypassing this class loader issue?

Hi,
actually I didn' try the JNDI lookup but used resource injection instead
In a JSF managed bean I use
@EJB Ejb30SessionFacadeLocal myLocalInterface;
public SortableModel getTableModel() {
List rows = new ArrayList<Employees>();
rows = myLocalInterface.queryEmployeesFindAll();
this.tableModel = new SortableModel(rows);
return tableModel;
Its a EJB 3.0 session bean that accesses a Local interface. However, if the remote is on the same server then I would think that using @EJB Ejb30SessionFacadeRemote myRemoteInterface; does similar

  • Problem class important error while executing Query from favorites

    Hi Experts,
    1. I have tried execute the query from favorites it is showing the error message. " Problem class important"
        In the message text: logs showing error message [Attached the message screenshot].
    2. From "Query Designer" Execute [Ctrl+R] gives the error "500 Internal Server Error" [Attached the screenshot]
    3. Able to execute the reports from RRMX.
    No ST22 dumps. Can any one suggest about...how to rectify the errors.
    Thanks in advance...Surya

    Need tyo make sure the problem is with the query/workbook are general issue with all workbooks/query.
    1. Make sure the base query of work book is still executable. RRMX/RSRT.
    2. Execute the work book in Bex/Excel and look for definition of workbook; there might be some thing in the workbook referencing other than base query.
    3. If other workbook are also not working? need to check if other users have same issue.?
    Hope this will help to narrow the problem.

  • CorrelationSet error while invoking Bpel from a java appli

    Hi There,
    I'm trying to send a signal from a java application to a bpel process (already instanciated before) and I get the following error :
    [Erreur ORABPEL-10015] : propriété de corrélation non résolue
    [Description] : à la ligne 25 de "/oracle/product/10.1.2/.../myProjectConvertPdf.bpel", la propriété de corrélation "{http://xmlns.oracle.com/myProjectConvertPdf/correlationset}filename" du correlationSet "CorrelationSet_signalConvOk" n'est pas définie.
    [Solution potentielle] : assurez-vous que la propriété "{http://xmlns.oracle.com/myProjectConvertPdf/correlationset}filename" est définie dans l'un des fichiers WSDL référencés.
    My java application is designed to get the value of the correlation parameter from another source (the bpel process calls a webservice a webservice in another virtual machine and transmits the parameter value by a database table or a file)
    My file .bpel contains :
    <receive name="Receive_signalConvOk" partnerLink="signalConvPdfOk" portType="client:projectSignal" operation="receiveSignal" variable="Receive_signalConvOk_receiveSignal" createInstance="no">
    <correlations>
    <correlation initiate="no" set="CorrelationSet_signalConvOk"/>
    </correlations>
    </receive>
    the correlation is defined as followed :
    <correlationSets>
    <correlationSet name="CorrelationSet_signalConvOk" properties="ns1:filename"/>
    </correlationSets>
    and the property alias :
    <definitions
    name="properties"
    targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/myProjectConvertPdf/correlationset"
    xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"
    xmlns:bpws="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/03/business-process/"
    xmlns:plnk="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/05/partner-link/"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    >
    <bpws:property name="filename" type="xsd:string"/>
    </definitions>
    My java appli calls the bpel process by the following code :
    String xml = "<filename xmlns=\"http://xmlns.oracle.com/myProjectConvertPdf\">"+parameterValue+"</filename>\n";
    NormalizedMessage nm = new NormalizedMessage( );
    nm.addPart("payload", xml );
    deliveryService.post(nomProcessBpel,
    null,
    "signalConvPdfOk",
    null,
    nomOpBpel,
    nm);
    My first problem is obviousy the error message and my second problem is that I don't know how to transmit the correlation parameter in the request my java appli does to the bpel process.

  • Error while invoking EJB lookup

    Hello
    Outline:
    Two DCs, one containing some JPA code, exposing method as EJB. The other generated as WS skeleton from ESR.
    Code in WS method:
    TrainingSBLocal bean = (TrainingSBLocal) context.lookup("app.company.pl/training2ear/LOCAL/TrainingSBBean");
    causes:
    ClassCastException: class com.sap.engine.services.jndi.implclient.ClientContext:service:naming_com.sap.engine.boot.loader.ResourceMultiParentClassLoader_e5025_alive incompatible with interface pl.company.app.zss_prototyp.TrainingSBLocal:app.company.pl/training2ear_com.sap.engine.boot.loader.ResourceMultiParentClassLoader_1b7731b_alive

    WS DC is dependent on EJB one in Design, Deploy and Runtime.
    Any suggestions?

    Ok, I got it working now, I found there's an OC4J_Client.zip not just oc4jClient.jar which has to be included in the classpath.
    Thanks

    I am guessing that the oc4jClient.jar or the oc4j.jar are depedany on other JAR files which are found in the same directory which can be found under the Jdeveloper/j2ee/home and oc4j/j2ee/home that's why they the client works when present with other JARS, i just guessing because I couldnt understand what's going on. If other JAR file needs to be included along with OC4J clients, what are these JARs and where am I going wrong ?
    Thank you

    Ok, I got it working now, I found there's an OC4J_Client.zip not just oc4jClient.jar which has to be included in the classpath.
    Thanks

  • 'Class Cast Exception' while invoking a EJB from a Servlet

              Hi,
              I am working on J2EE applications.I am using Webgain studio and weblogic server.I
              got a problem while invoking EJB from the servlet.
              While calling an EJB from the servlet, it is giving that "Class Cast Exception".This
              is because, the remote home reference is not able to type casted to the"Home Interface"
              of the EJB, even if I type casted explicitly. It is creating the context and able
              to identify the EJB with the JNDI name.
              Could please help me in solving this problem.I am pasting the code here.
              Thanks in advance,
              Dharma
              public void doGet(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse resp)
                   throws ServletException, IOException
                        resp.setContentType("text/html");
                        PrintWriter out = new PrintWriter(resp.getOutputStream());
              try
              Context context=getInitialContext();
              Object reference=context.lookup("ArlProjContractorAppletSession");
              ArlProjContractorAppletSessionHome home=(ArlProjContractorAppletSessionHome)PortableRemoteObject.narrow(reference,ArlProjContractorAppletSessionHome.class);
              //Exception is occuring in the above statement. It is unable
              //to cast to the home interface
                        ArlProjContractorAppletSession the_ejb=null;
              try
              the_ejb=home.create();
              System.out.println("the_ejb = " + the_ejb.toString());
              catch(Exception e)
              e.printStackTrace();
              catch(Exception e)
              e.printStackTrace();
                        // to do: code goes here.
                        out.println("<HTML>");
                        out.println("<HEAD><TITLE>Contractor TimeTracker</TITLE></HEAD>");
                        out.println("<BODY>");
                        // to do: your HTML goes here.
                        out.println("</BODY>");
                        out.println("</HTML>");
                        out.close();

              I came across this kind of problem once. My problem went away after I upgraded
              from 5.1 SP6 to 5.1 SP8.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply since I am quite new to BPEl can you elaborate a bit on this .
    What I did was
    1. I created a Async BPEL process in JDeveloper and in the same project I put my servlet code and html part when I deploy it on the server and ascess it the welcome jsp is displayed when I click submit on wecome.jsp it forwards to servlet and there the error originates .
    2 If instead I deploy the BPEl process seperately and the try to access the BPEL process using my JDeveloper java code I don't get any error it works fine.
    3 I have included config and schema folders in source path . wf_client_config.xml,user-properties.xml and wf-config.xml is also present in the source folder.
    4 Along with this the jars needed have been also added.
    So when I deploy the BPEL process created in 1 above from Jdeveloper it creates a .ear in j2ee\home\applications and the deploys it .This .ear doesn't has any .class files .
    I take bpelclasses.jar from the .jar which is created when I compile the project and put it in the j2ee\home\applib folder and made an entry for it in the server.xml file.After this it is able to get .class files.
    If there is any alternate way to do the same thing kindly tell me .
    Thanks
    Pranay

    For the BPEL process we are following the same steps as given in an AMIS blog : - [http://technology.amis.nl/blog/1607/how-to-call-a-ws-security-secured-web-service-from-oracle-bpel]
    but sttill,after deploying it and passing values in it,we are getting the following error on the console :-
    &ldquo;Header [http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing:Action] for ultimate recipient is required but not present in the message&rdquo;
    Any pointers in this regard will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Saurabh

    Hi James,
    Thanks for the quick reply.
    We've tried to call that web service from an HTML designed in Visual Studios with the same username and password and its working fine.
    But on the BPEL console, we are getting the error as mentioned.
    Also if you can tell me how to set the user name and password in the header of the parter link.I could not find how to do it.
    Thanks,
    Saurabh

    The understanding formed till now is that the service is trigged using a stateless session bean wrapper and the lookup for the same is failing.
    One option will be to write the java code for performing the lookup using method
    lookupInstanceByConversationId(String convId, DomainAuth auth)
    but certain information e.g DomainAuth is not available.
    I have tried locating information about the dynamic wrapper which is being created.
    Any inputs/comments/direction for the above problem are welcomed
    Cheers

    Thanks Marc.
    I checked the domain log (ORA_BPEL_HOME\bpel\domains\default\logs\domain.log) for information. It repeats the same error displayed in the bpel server window.
    I have now put some SOPs in my Java embedding activity to see if the process gets instantiated or not. On the BPEL server window, I am able to see these SOPs upto the point where I invoke a method invocation on my remote Java class. Which clearly means the BPEL process is instantiated, contrary to the information in the error (that the BPEL instance cannot be found) I am getting.
