Duplicate entries getting posted using FB01

Hi All,
I am facing a very strange problem which I have never heard of before.
There is a report program which picks up an input file from the application server and posts the entries. This input file will contain all the details about header record, vendor line items and G/L line items.
The report checks for duplicate entries comparing the reference number and the vendor. It discards the duplicate entries. It does not post duplicate entries.
Now, the input file contains the reference number only once. It also has multiple line items for that refernce. But has posted two identical documents having same reference, company code, etc. The only thing that is different is the document number and the time of entry. There is just a few seconds gap between the posting of the two entries.
Ideally FB01 should also not allow to post such identical entries.
Please suggest possible reasons for such postings.

Hi,
Manually everything is working fine. Also through this report everything works fine always except for this case which happened.
The input file had a lot of references for posting. But just one got duplicated. So, I was just wondering what could have gone wrong.
Could it be because of some database commit or due to some memory buffer refresh which did not happen by mistake.
I'm just trying to figure out some possible causes for such a thing.
Your inputs and thoughts are welcome.

entries are maintained in OB28 for relevant company codes.
it is working for FB50 but not FB01.
same thing i tried to maintain at header level as well as item level. but it is working only for FB50 but for FB01.

Hi Venu,
Go to GGB0 and expand the navigation till you reach the validation name of line item level and choose menu item *Validation -> Simulate.
Here you can enter the inputs, those you are entering while doing FB01 and execute it.
Then in the results, you will have the log for each step of your total validation of line item level.
Check , whether your questioned STEP's pre requisite is met and check is not fullfilled.
Accordingly you can make the changes to the STEP.

Asset posting using FB01

Hi,
I'd like to understand why some asset ttypes can be posted using FB01 but some don't. I guess it is contolled by the ttype group. What do you think? I've created new ttypes for asset transfers. They work fine when business uses ABUMN. But they also want to use these new ttypes with FB01.
Any idea whether I can do it?

It is most likely caused by the inconcistency in configuration.
In OBY6, If company ID is not defined for company codes, they are not
affliated companies. But in the transaction type, 'post to affliated
cocd.' is clicked.
Please refer to SAP notes 127650 and 590975 to help with this issue.
Also please review the relevant notes 327088 and 143410 and ensure your
customising is correct.

Duplicate Invoices getting posted in MIRO

Dear Expert,
My user has raised an issue that while posting a MIRO transaction duplicate documents are getting generated with the same details(amt, invoice ref etc.) in a span of 30 seconds giving two document numbers.
I have asked the user to reverse one of the open items using t code MR8M to resolve the issue for the time being.
But the user is asking me why duplicate invoices are getting posted and needs a permanent solution to the issue.
Did anybody faced a similar issue previously. Kindly suggest me on this.

Please check the configuration in belowpath:-
IMG>Materials Management>Logistics Invoice Verification>Incoming Invoice>Set Check for Duplicate Invoices
Moreever, in vendor master, you need to maintain the double invoice check tick in the company code data.
You can also configure the extended rules to check double invoice in BTE 00001110 in FIBF transaction. Search SDN for more details on it. (It has been answered several times.)

Duplicate entries missing using for all entries in select query.

Hi Gurus,
Is there any way to avoid missing duplicate entries in an internal table if you use for all entries in select statement?
Note : i am selecting two tables using non key fields and i have to aggregate the data. I want only 2 data fields and one amount field in my final internal table. I can add all the primary key fields into my internal table and collect my required fields in another table, but I just want to know is there any other way to avoid missing duplicate entries without adding all the key fields?

Hi,
Just check what are the other possible fields in the table which may be having
duplicate entries and make use of them in the selection accordingly.
You may not miss any entries unless there is any restriction on them.
You can better judge that in debugging mode while selecting data from that table.

Hi Nandini,
Have you defined a GL account as a cost element? I think you have multiple company codes which are using same chart of accounts and this company code is also using the same chart of accounts. And also you have configured single controlling area for all company codes. Even though you have not assigned this company code to controlling area. The cost elements will create at controlling area level.
Due to this system is throwing error message.
Please check and let us know if you have other issue.

How can I get rid of duplicate entries in iPad iCal?

This is kind of a repeat and I apologize, but I have duplicate entries now in my iCa on my iPad because of iOS5? Others on this same topic said something about deleting the whole iPad calendar. Before I did that, I wanted to be sure, that if I delete the iPad calendar, it won't delete the iMac calendar. I'm just not sure how to get one one iCal entry in my iPad calendar. I have birthdays, etc. entered until eternity!

I would be consistent with respect to the information in the "Info" pane in iTunes. Duplicate entries in iCal. I don't get it!

Is there some place that I can go to get a definitive explanation of how iCal, Mobile.me and Subscriptions are interconnected? I don't get it. I always seem to end up with duplicate entries in my calendar. If I remove a check mark in one calendar, then stuff disappears, but if I put the check mark back, then I end up with duplicate entries.
Seems to me that if I enter stuff only in iCal, then I should only see it once. Unfortunately, Mobile.me or subscribed calendars seem to cause things to appear more than once. Birthdays are a real problem. I enter them in contacts, but Mobile.me seems to want to pull them from there and from the calendar, then they show up twice. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, and there doesn't seem to be any clear instruction (that I can find), clearly outlining where or how stuff should be entered. Maybe I'm just dense, but trying to sync between Mobile.me, my Mac, iPad, and iPod....is making me crazy.

Good point. Actually, even the wireless sync can cause the problem. "Sync iCal Calendars" in the "Info" tab should be UNCHECKED.

The following is the code for me to transfer the contents of t_yxapy_fields into t_pa_fields.
SELECT dbtab
      FROM t777d
      INTO TABLE t_pa_fields
      FOR ALL ENTRIES IN t_yxapy_fields
      WHERE infty = t_yxapy_fields-infty.
And t_pa_fields just ended up with

Question:The first table have 3 similar infotype 0008 but the result table only have one pa0008. I need to filled up acordingly as what table 1 have. I need another 2 pa0008 in my 2nd table. What is wrng with my Select for all entries statement here?

This has nothing to do with duplicates in t777d.
Correct, I failed to recognize that table t777d has only infty as key as pointed out by Aby. Thus in your particular case my comment was misleading. In general though FOR ALL ENTRIES removes all duplicate rows from your result set.
If you want the other 2 values just loop t_yxapy_fields this table and read t_pa_fields and if record found add the other values to t_pa_fields table. --> will trigger performance tuning issue
I'm pretty sure if you'd code this, you won't run into any performance issues, so follow Aby's recipe. To be more concrete, here's what I'd do: Define a mapping table t777d_tab, which holds the translation from infty to dbtab:
types:
begin of T_T777D_VIEW,
    INFTY type T777D-INFTY,
    DBTAB type T777D-DBTAB,
end of T_T777D_VIEW.
data:
T777D_TAB type hashed table of T_T777D_VIEW with unique key INFTY.
Fill table t_pa_fields, typed using t_t777d_tab from above, from table t777d. Then loop over your table t_yxapy_fields (I'd use [LOOP AT ... ASSIGNING|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPLOOP_AT_ITAB_RESULT.htm] instead of LOOP AT ... INTO) and for each entry get the corresponding DBTAB value from t777d_tab (again use the [READ TABLE ... ASSIGNING|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPREAD_TABLE_OUTDESC.htm] variant) and build your result table t_pa_fields.
Anyhow, I suspect that even with less optimal coding (e.g. using just standard table for lookup of DBTAB values) you'd not see much of an performance impact, because it seems that your internal tables are most likely rather small...

The PowerBooks have an F-key that toggles mirrored and extended mode. My PB is loaned out right now but I think it was f7. The keycap has an icon on two overlapping rectangles, as I recall.
