Dynadock U10 whith applications who use GDI+

Hi,
I work for a publisher of software who use Gdi+ for graphism on windows forms.
I have a client who have problem with my application and Dynadock U10.
The application works great on his screen 's laptop, but when he put the application on the screen behind the dynadock, all the parts of the screen which are displaying with GDI+ aren't display well : He must pass the mouse over for seing them !
My client has a Windows XP laptop and the driver for dynadock is up to date.
What can I do with dynadock U10 for my application works ?

If you go to Settings > General > About > Diagnostics & Usage > Diagnositic & Usage Data you can see what was used if it returns an error of any kind.

Dynadock U10 Video Hang

Hi,
I've just installed my Dynadock U10 on my Tecra M11 (W7 32-bit) and updated with the latest drivers.
All goes well until I try to use Nomachine NX software to connect to my Linux desktop.
The NX window hangs after the initial connection is made. And no manner of persuading will bring it back to life.
The rest of the Window 7 windows work as normal but the NX window just show whatever is in the buffer from the last window in front of it.
NX works fine without the Dynadock straight from the laptop.

Hi Steve
All you can do is to use Dynadock with latest and newest driver. If everything works well you will be lucky but if there is some problem using third part application I think it is nothing but bad luck.
As far as I know Toshiba doesnt test Dynadock functionality with all available software offered on the market and, as you can see, everything works well except when you use this NX software.
Im really curious if anyone here use the same software and Dynadock and can write more about that.

Creating an application which uses NI-Daqmx driver

Hello,
I'm developing an application which uses NI-Daqmx driver and I need to deliver this application to end users.
I currently have NI-DAQmx 9.7.0 installed on my computer which needed an installation of 1.55 GB.
I got complaints from customers who want this application to run on a new machine without the need of installation of NI-DAQmx driver.
My project contains the necessary dlls (NationalInstruments.Common.dll and NationalInstruments.DAQmx.dll) as referenced and I expect that build of the application along with these dlls work on a different machine somehow.
Is there any way to provide such output that customers don't need to install NI-DAQmx?
Do I have to add additional references to the project? If so, which ones should they be?
Or can I have a smaller custom required installation of this driver which will not bother the customers?
PS: I tried the output of the sample projects on a different machine which don't have NI-DAQmx installed. I got the same error.

You can have them install the DAQmx runtime engine which correlates with the version of DAQmx which is being used in the program you're distributing. This can be found on our website.
Search "daqmx runtime engine x.x" and replace the x.x with your version number.

Can't Use Video with other Mac users who use AIM

I know that ichat is compatible for video chats with other pc users who use aim, but does it work with other mac users who use aim?
Everytime I try to chat with my friend, I get an error message when trying to start of a video chat.
BTW, I use a iMac G5 with an isight camera.

For a Bit of Clarity.
AOL have their Instant Message App. referred to as AIM.
Apple decided and did a deal with AOL that iChat could join their service Buddy Lists.
On these Discussions we tend to refer iChat as Logging into AIM, as they are the servers that the Buddy Lists are held on.
As iChat can also use Bonjour and Jabber, both of which have their own Buddy list window on your Mac. The Jabber side needs you to have a Jabber screen name - so again people differentiate between this and the AIM side.
I would guess you friend is trying to make it clear that she is using the AIM side of iChat as opposed to the Jabber side.
As has been said already, the Application side of things also tend to get referred to generically as "AIM" as well.
The Mac version has stopped and 4.7 and will only Text chat.
The PC side needs 5.9 to clearly Video or Audio chat with a Mac using iChat. (AIM 6.0 is not stable enough to A/V chat to iChat).

Who uses STP for audio post professionally

Who uses STP for audio post and can it be used as a alternative to high end audio editor such as protools? Im studying sound design and I completely forgot about STP and I wanna to dig a little deeper and experiment with the program so.....is it any good or shall I save up for protools???

Let me start by saying I'm not an audio engineer but a picture editor. Having said that I feel I can shed a little light on this topic. STP is not ProTools. There are people who love STP and those that hate it. I find it useful in a couple of ways.
1. Creating Noise Prints and reducing background sounds like AC or refrigerator. This is what I predominantly use STP for.
2. Using the Time Stretching tool. You can change the length of an audio clip without affecting the pitch. You can also do this in FCP with a filter but sometimes I find it easier in STP.
3. The Music Beds and Sound Effects. I find these useful whether as temp music or having more choices in SFX.
All that I mentioned above can be done in ProTools. I find that the roundtrip between FCP and STP to be very easy which is why I use it for my needs. If you are studying sound design then my suggestion would be to become knowledgeable in as many software applications as you can. The concepts are the same just the tools are different.

I think you're missing the point, which is that the iPod Touch does not do as it promises.
Apart from that, you can if you wish, leave your router on WEP security and run the risk of not only having your network compromised and having data intercepted - you don't need to be a secret government agent/spy/renegade/software pirate/convict on the run to be using passwords on various sites for various reasons or storing sensitive information on your PC - but also somebody else using the bandwidth that you have paid for, to do whatever illegal activities (send Spam mail, use stolen credit cards, etc) they wish with an IP address that can't be traced back to them. The IP address is unique and assigned to your connection, once a hacker is on your network he/she has as much control over your PCs as you do.
WEP is not secure (try googling for "hacking wep") and just because I use MAC filtering doesn't mean somebody won't be able to access my network. A hacker will be able to detect what MAC addresses are registered and then use one himself.
Why do you think the WPA protocol was developed?
Anyway, all of this is besides the point. I am not prepared to weaken my network security - all I want to do is get mt iPod Touch working with WPA encryption.

Text scroll on website is invisible on Mozilla but visible with IE. Used Intuit Website Builder. Thye say it is a Mozilla issue. I have no access to the java HTML code. Even so, how does this get fixed for all who use Mozilla to see?

I am not a web designer. I used Intuit Website Builder to build my company website. The text scroll on the index (home) page is invisible when viewed on Mozilla...but visible with internet Explorer. Intuit said its a Mozilla issue. I am concerned because so many people who use Mozilla will not be able to see the scroll. Help!! BTW, the image scroll on another page on the site (Design A La Carte) is visible on Mozilla and IE.

Application Exception using @Application not working

I'm trying to create 2 business application exception using the @Application annotation on my 2 java exception class. The first exception is a StarException class that extends java.lang.Exception (per ejb 3.0 spec). Below is snippet of the class.

As you can tell that this is a check exception and will rollback transaction when it occurred. I have another exception class called StarRuntimeException that extends java.lang.RuntimeException. This is also mention on ejb 3.0 spec and is useful if you don't want to catch the exception on the server side and just throw it and the client will receive such application exception class. Below is a snippet of the class ...

By the way I'm using this exception in my wls 10.3 webservices stateless beans (jax-rpc 1.1). Some of the methods throws these 2 exceptions.
There are 2 problems with this application exception during runtime on the client side.
1. Regarding StarException, the client can catch this exception when the webservice method throws this exception. The problem is that the error messages is null. Tried both getMesssage() and getLocalizedMessage() are all null.
2. Regarding StarRuntimeException, the generated client stubs and artifacts does not even throw this exception, therefore it will not the caught. This exception is wrapped inside RemoteException instead.

Ok. I figured it out. The url rewrite was missing in the config. Put it there and its working now.

Application-to-application authentication allows services to trust other services without having to authenticate the end-user making use of these services. The Calendar Web Services offers an application-to-application authentication mechanism called âProxy Authenticationâ.
What is Proxy Authentication?
The Calendar Web Services Proxy Authentication is a solution that was developed by the Oracle Calendar team and is similar to what SSO would be to the web. Proxy Authentication allows any application developed using the Calendar Web Services Toolkit to establish a trusted authentication link to the Calendar Server via the Calendar Web Services.
What do I need to get Proxy Authentication going?
-     The Calendar Web Services Toolkit 9.0.4.2.X (Calendarlet.jar)
-     The Calendar Web Services 9.0.4.2.X (OCAS)
-     The Calendar Server 9.0.4.2.X (Calserv)
-     Oracle Internet Directory 9.0.4.X (OID)
Your collaboration suite deployment MUST be configured in a way where the Calendar Server is connected to the OID (done by default). This is fundamental given that Proxy Auth is designed to extensively use the OID security schemes.
How to configure Proxy Authentication?
You must have:
1.     Access to the OID administrator account.
2.     Access to the ldap tools ($ORACLE_HOME/ldap/bin).
3.     Access to the Oracle Calendar Server administrator password.
OID Configuration
Create an entry for your application product in OID
The following entry needs to be created:
- cn=OracleContext
- cn=Products
- cn=MyApplicationProduct
The MyApplicationProduct.ldif will look like:

The command to add the entry is

How to use Proxy Authentication?
Once successfully done configuring your OID and Calendar Server, you must start the real work; coding. It is actually simple to implement.
In your Java application, you will simply change the BasicAuth class with the ProxyAuth class. You then set the end-user identity, along with the proxy application name and proxy application password, you registered a moment ago.
Ex:

How to test a generated report in my application by using web test written with Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate

My application generates report in different formats, such as: Adobe, Excel, XML, CSV and HTML
I have a webtest that makes all preparations, then generates a report.
In my application I have an option either to save the new generated report or open it.
When I try to open the new report, the web test doesn't see it and therefore not allows me to test it.
Please refer me to knowledge base or let me know how to resolve this type of issues.

Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
Since this web performance test is used to verify the Http request/respond work correctly in VS, and the browser session is then displayed as a list of URLs in the Web Performance Test Editor.
However, as you said that you want to test a generated report in my application by using web performance test in VS2012 Ultimate. If the report is not as the Http format, so I think that it is not possible to test a generated report by using web performance
test.
