Dynamic Combination of structure in Query

I have a characteristic structure cross with a key figure structure
characteristic structure
C1 - A
C1 - B
C1 - C
key figure structure
KF1
KF2
KF3
Report layout
            A                     B                    C
xxx      KF1 KF2 KF3    KF1 KF2 KF3  KF1 KF2 KF3
Can the structure made to be dynamic according to input variable?
Points will be awarded for helpful answers. Thanks.

That means I need to build a query for each combination, say
Report 1
            A                       B
XXX      KF1   KF2   KF3  KF1   KF2   KF3
Report 2
            B                       C
XXX      KF1   KF2   KF3  KF1   KF2   KF3
Report 3
            A                       D
XXX      KF1   KF2   KF3  KF1   KF2   KF3
Do I need to build 3 queries?
Or it there any way I build query
            A          B         C        D
XXX      KF1....   KF1...   KF1...  KF1...
and then hide a group of columns on demand in report?

    Hi experts,
    i want to combine two reports in query designer using key figure with sap exit
    in the report 1 key figure calculation based on the open on key date(0P_DATE_OPEN)
    to calculate due and not due in two columns
    in report 2 key figure calculate in the time zones using given in variable Grid Width (0DPM_BV0) like due in 1 to 30 days, 31 to 60 days...the due amount based on the open on key date(0P_DATE_OPEN)
    to calculate in 1-30, 31-60, 61-90, 91-120, 121-150 and >150 days in 6 columns
    now i have requirement like this
    not due, 1-30, 31-60, >60, due,1-30, 31-60, >60 in 8 columns
    or
    not due, due, 1-30, 31-60, 61-90, 91-120, 121-150 and >150 in 8 col

    Hi Dirk,
    you perhaps know my requirement,

    we have in reporting finacials Ehp3.
    Vendor Due Date Analysis - which show due, not due
    Vendor Overdue Analysis - show only due and analysis in time grid frame
    i want to combine in one report that show NOT DUE, DUE, DUE time frames in grid.

    I have tried to achieve this result in many ways to no avail. If I try to combine PRODUCTS ORDERED with ORDERS I get an erroneous count. I finally resigned myself to getting all the info I needed with separate queries and then trying to combine them with a query of queries. This worked fine until the last query of queries which timed out with no results. I am a newbie and would appreciate any constructive help with this. I am including my queries below as well;
    <cfquery name="qGetOrders" datasource="manna_premier">
    SELECT Count(Orders.ID) AS CountOfID,
           Orders.UserID AS Orders_UserID,
        Users.UserID AS Users_UserID,
        Users.TMName
    FROM Users INNER JOIN Orders ON Users.[UserID] = Orders.[UserID]
    GROUP BY Orders.UserID, Users.UserID, Users.TMName;
    </cfquery>
    <cfquery name="qGetSalesCalls" datasource="manna_premier">
    SELECT Count(Sales_Calls.ID) AS CountOfID,
           Users.UserID AS Users_UserID,
        Users.TMName,
        Sales_Calls.UserID AS Sales_Calls_UserID
    FROM Users INNER JOIN Sales_Calls ON Users.[UserID] = Sales_Calls.[UserID]
    GROUP BY Sales_Calls.UserID, Users.UserID, Users.TMName;
    </cfquery>
    <cfquery name="qGetProducts" datasource="manna_premier">
    SELECT Count(ProductOrders.OrderID) AS CountOfOrderID,
           Sum(ProductOrders.Quantity) AS SumOfQuantity,
        Sum(ProductOrders.NewExisting) AS SumOfNewExisting,
        ProductOrders.UserID
    FROM Orders INNER JOIN ProductOrders ON Orders.[ID] = ProductOrders.[OrderID]
    GROUP BY ProductOrders.UserID;
    </cfquery>
    <cfquery name="qqCombOrd_Prod" dbtype="query">
    SELECT *
    FROM qGetOrders, qGetProducts
    </cfquery>

    PLEASE HELP!!! I'm about to go scouting for bridges to leap from!

    You might be able to simplify that query by getting rid of the subqueries.  Something like this
    SELECT TerritoryManager
    , count(sc.userid) totalcalls
    , sum(po.quantity) total
    , sum(newexisting) totalnew
    , count(o.userid) totalorders
    from users u join salescalls sc on u.userid = sc.userid
    join orders o on u.userid = o.userid
    join productorders po on u.userid = po.userid
    where userzone = 'CENTRAL'

  • How to call structure in query change mode

    Hi Gurus,
    How to call created structure in query change mode?
    Is there any other methods?
    Thanks in advance
    Ramu

    HI Ramu,
    If ur structure is global then it will be available in the left panel in the structure tree, Just drag and drop into the rowns or colums. Make sure that the structure is saved as global.
    Thanks

  • How to create two structures in query designer?

    Hi experts,

    is their any chance to create 2 structures on key figures.
    If possible please help me in that.
    Thanks in Advance
    vas

    Hi,
    in Query at a time only 2 structures can be used, even thought there are many structures created on that infoprovider.

  • Dynamic SQL within a SQL Query ?

    is there any possibility to do like this ?
    SELECT table_name, XXXXXXXX('SELECT Count(*) FROM '||table_name) tot_rows
      FROM dba_tables
    WHERE owner = 'SCOTT';or any other trick to run dynamic SQL within the SQL Query?
    Hoping....that it should be.
    Regards,
    Orapdev

    One small disadvantage: it is executing 202 SQL statements: 3 "user SQL statements" (the one above and the 2 "select count(*)..."), and 199 internal ones ...How did you get to those numbers?
    I just traced this statement and found completely different results:

  • Reg Structures in Query Designer

    Hi,
    Can someone explain the following regarding Structures usage in Query Designer
    1. Limitations of Structures usage
    2. When to use Structures and when not to use them in Query Designer
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards
    AVS Reddy

    Hi,
    Structures in Query designer are reusable across all the queries for particular info provider once you save in the query designer.
    Also check the below links for more info:

  • Can we use a combination of structural and role authorisations in BW?

    Can we use a combination of structural and role authorisations in BW for the same object (eg cost centre CC) in the same report?
    If so how does it work? Read the structurals from the DSO and if missing then look for role auth?

    When you say two different reports do you mean two different data grids in the same report or two different reports each saved with a different name?
    Two data grids in same report connected to same data source will reflect changes in point of view as you are indicating.
    If you have two physically different reports then they will not be connected the way you want.
    If they are two separate reports what you can do is set up drill links from one report to the other that will let you open the second report from the first report and pass your filter selections to the second report being opened.

  • Dynamic internal table structure

    pl. give the solution to create dynamically internal table structure with respective of different table.

    Hi and welcome to the SDN,
    this topic is more related to abap, but anyway:
    data: l_tabname(30) type c value 'MARA',
          ref_data type ref to data.
    field-symbols: <fs_tab> type table.
    create data ref_data type standard table of (l_tabname).
    assign ref_data->* to <fs_tab>.
    Now <fs_tab> is a internal table with structure of table mara.
    Hope this helps!
    regards
    Siggi

  • Urgent Help on Dynamic Table name change in query !!!!!!!!

    Hi Everyone,
    I'm having a repeating frame which displays table_name, count_validate and count_error. How can i dynamically change my table_name in formula column apllied on count_validate and count_error. I can do this with multiple elsif statement, which makes my report slow at runtime. Select statement is same , only change is table_name ?
    Kindly let me know......

    Try to use dynamic ref cursors (defined in a database package).
    This is not exactly what you need, but see:

  • How to combine insert and where query ?

    hi..
    could somebody guide me how to combine insert and where query ?
    insert into tdc_imarspc (ANUMBER,EMF_ID,PRODUCT) values ('1234567','65','ITFS')
    where anumber not like '1234567';
    Thank you,
    Baharin

    Hi, Baharin,
    As Mahesh said, WHERE only works on a query.
    You can always base a query on dual, like this:
    INSERT INTO
    tdc_imarspc (ANUMBER,     EMF_ID,     PRODUCT)
    SELECT          '1234567',     '65',     'ITFS'
    FROM         dual
    WHERE          anumber      NOT LIKE '1234567';Of course, you can use a literal, like '1234567' in both places where I used the bind variable, but if you're not using a variable, why would you want to?
    You could also put all the literals in a sub-query (based on dual), and reference column names in the main WHERE clause, LIKE THIS:
    INSERT INTO
    tdc_imarspc (     ANUMBER,     EMF_ID,          PRODUCT)
    WITH     sub_q
    AS  (
        SELECT    '1234567' AS an,     '65' AS ei,     'ITFS' AS pr
        FROM      dual
    SELECT          an,          ei,          pr
    FROM     sub_q
    WHERE      an      NOT LIKE '1234567';
    I assume you're not really saying
    an      NOT LIKE '1234567'If you're not using any wild cards after LIKE, you might as well use !=
    an      != '1234567'

  • Creating Crystal Reports Dynamically from an incoming SQL query

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where a sql query will be entered by the user in a text box and in the back end java code, i have to create a crystal report dynamically based on that sql query and show it in the crystalviewer object.
    For example if the user writes "select x,y from xtable ", i should be able to create a report with 2 fields, and if the user says "select x,y,z from xtable" then i should be able create and show a report with 3 fileds...thsi report creation should be done in the click event.
    Is this possible in java? I have found something similar in .NET... pls have a look at this
    http://vb.net-informations.com/crystal-report/dynamic_crystal_report_from_sql_query_string.htm
    Thanks,
    Preethi

    Hi Preethi,
    Can you please share the steps with me? I am also looking for dynamic SQL being applied to the crystal report.
    Thank you so much for your help in advance.

  • Combine event structures

    hello,
    I'm having to combine several labview programs together, and some of these programs have event structures with a bunch of cases, is there any programmatic way to combine two event structures?  My finished code will only have one event structure which will be the result of all the other programs event cases combined, I'm trying to avoid having to type all these out
    much thanks!

    Unfortunately no. You can't combine event structures. The best you can do is take advantage of the opportunity to rework the logic and maybe improve it.

  • How can I create dynamic file references in Power Query?

    Hi all,
    I'm new at using PowerQuery, and so far I like it. There's one thing I am struggling with though... Once I have set up my PoweQuery connections, I don't find an easy way to change the file to which the query is connecting. I'm using it for a monthyl recurring
    process, and every month the source data to query on woudl be different. The same in format/structure, but just a different dataset.
    Is there a way to make the source setup more dynamic? Can I for example in a parameters sheet enter the name and path of the new source file and update the queries?
    Currently the Advanced editor shows me following file reference:
    let
        Source = Excel.Workbook(File.Contents("Z:\Templates\EMEA\Source Data Tables\EMEA_EW_Source_Data_for_Power_Queries v1.xlsm")),
    Thanks in advance for suggestions

    Yes, this is something that you can do with Power Query. Here's how you can do it:
    Create a table in Excel containing your parameter value. Let's say that it has one column, called ParameterValue, and one row.
    Create a new Power Query query that gets the data from this table. Call the query something like ParameterQuery.
    In your original query you will now be able to reference values from your parameter query by saying something like this:
    Source = Excel.Workbook(File.Contents(ParameterQuery[ParameterValue]{0})),
