Dynamic Email Notification Configuration

Hi,
I am using BPM 11g & trying to configure email notification within human task flows and not using any active directory as of now.
I've configured email driver in enterprise console & provided the email host names, outgoing source email id, port through which outgoing mails delivers etc. & to deliver the mails, I've mapped my project's role with the other participants to whom the emails will be sent.
however, I want to send the mail from a id which will be picked dynamically. Can this be configurable using human tasks.
Please suggest !!!!

You don´t use workflow builder to set up email notifications.
You need to start a mailer script/process and configure an archive to set your email account. The post above will help you.
Any doubts, just help.

  • G500 need help with Intel Rapid Storage Technology email notifications configuration.

    I have a new Lenovo G500 laptop running Win 8.1. I have discovered the Rapid Storage Technology icon and have been trying to set up email notifications in Preferences using the desktop interface.
    Without going into a lengthy description about what I have done already, I can tell you that I have configured the Email Preferences so the test email does not fail immediately, but it does not send the email, either; it just spins In Progress without stopping until cancelled manually using the button. I get no error messages.
    I have looked at firewall and allowing IntelCpHeciSvc.exe through because I wanted to see if it made a difference; I have looked for Intel entries in System Configuration & Task Manager Services to try and find a reason for the test email not sending, there.
    I have the correct SMTP host address and corresponding Port correct, having gleaned the info from BT's web site, and all the email addresses I have included are active.
    Can anyone suggest what I am failing to address?

    Hi,
    IRST(Intel Rapid Storage Technology) is mainly used for RAID setup and management.
    According to Intel, it provides benefits to users of single drives as well.

    It's recommend you install the proper version which is applied to every OS.
    Pre-OS install driver is mainly basic driver used to make sure boot system successfully. Post-OS driver is primarily intended to some function working better.

  • OIM 11g - Email Notifications configured in human task is not working

    Hi,
    My requirement is to send email to the assignee whenever a request is assigned to the user. I created a custom bpel workflow and configured email notiifcation in the human task for the status 'assign'. I have configured Email driver with following properties:
    Sender Addresses = <[email protected]>
    Default Sender Address = <[email protected]>
    Outgoing Mail Server = <Exchange server host>
    Outgoing Mail Server Port = 25
    Outgoing Mail Server Security = none
    Outgoing Default From Addr = <[email protected]>
    I have also set the Notification Mode to 'Email' in Workflow Notification Properties.
    However when a request is assigned to the user, email notifications are not sent.
    I do not see any errors in the logs. In Enterprise Manager console I navigated to SOA Infrastructure Home > Human Workflow Engine > Notification Management and I could see outgoing email notifications corresponding to the workflow instance with the status showing 'Sent'.
    Also the Exchange server that is being used has already been tested for provisioning emails from OIM and it works fine for provisioning.
    Any pointers/troubleshooting tip to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

  • Modify Email Notifications Used in Workflow

    We are using content services with workflow and we have email notifications configured to be sent out to approvers when new document or delete requests are generated. The problem is, we are not using Oracle Mail, so the email that is generated contains links and attachments that are designed to execute in the Oracle Mail client, but do not work when opened and clicked on in our mail client.
    I have read a few posts that suggest the email contents can be edited and customized using workflow builder, but I have yet to determine how this is done, or if there is any documentation pertaining to how this accomplished.
    Anyone that can point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

    I tried the mentioned approach of creating a 2 step workflow which has the following steps :
    Created a criteria workflow .
    Added following steps : -Reject Notification step(Edit/reveiw Step)-- added the condition -if wfAction like reject --notify the author with the custom template else move to next step with following piece of code :
       <$if wfAction like "REJECT"$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
      <$wfNotify(dDocAuthor,"user","MY_WF_REJECT_MAIL")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpName", "Test")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpTargetStep", wfCurrentStep(1))$>
      <$else$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpName", "Test1")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpTargetStep", wfCurrentStep(1))$>
      <$endif$>
                                              -Approval step-(Edit/reveiw Step)-- in this reviewer is notified for the approval.
    Now I'm stuck in --when the reviewer rejects the content both custom and OOTB mails are being sent though I have used <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$> in each step.
    Now I'm not able to figure out what exactly needs to be done to suppress the OOTB notification.
    Thanks,

  • Enter Email Notification Sender

    Hi ppl,
    in CUP (AC 5.3 Compliant User Provisioning (AE)), when configuring the SMTP server for Email notifications (Configuration -> Workflow -> SMTP Server), there is a check box for "Enter Email Notification Sender".  When you click this, a text box opens for entry of an email address (System Email ID).
    Do you know what the purpose of this field is?
    Many thanks,
    Babak

    Hi Babak,
       This was added in AC 5.3 SP2 or SP3. When CUP sends emails out, the From field in the email used to be last approver or requestor's name. This can create confusion among the receiver of the email.
    To remove this confusion, SAP added this field. Whichever email id you configure in this textbox would show up in the From field of the emails going out through CUP.

  • How to configure dynamic email address for notification

    All,
    I have a problem in assigning dynamic email address for notification activity in a bpel process, I want to assign a user from a user-properties file. How do I achieve this. I tried using the users in System-jazn-data.xml file, but if i add a email attribute to the existing users it doesn't show up. I am sure there should be an easier way of using identity service and adding attributes to the jazn realm user, I might be missing something.
    I cannot have it as part of the payload the only way is to use identity service.
    Thanks,
    Chitra

    Hi James,
    Thanks for the reply. Its solved now. For anybody if interested you can set the dynamic email address either i) having it as part of payload - In this case use the xpath to query the payload varaible ii) use identity service - follow the following steps
    1.Create a user in Application enterprise manager/also you can use a existing account, if u are creating a new one assign the correct role
    2. In either case edit the user-properties.xml(bpel/system/services/config) file for the corresponding user and add an attribute called email
    3. Bounce the server for this changes to take effect
    4. In the notification properties in the to address use ids:getUserProperty and pass the attribute name

  • Configuring Receiver mail adapter with dynamic email addresses

    Hi,
    I'm a newbie to XI and I have problems in configuring the Receiver mail adapter with the "Use Mail package" option selected. I am trying pickup a file (using file adapter on Sender side, picks up a simple XML file) and after mapping in XI, send the message as an email message to dynamic email addresses.
    Everything works fine if I did not select the "Use Mail Package". But when I choose that option it errors out. I followed this blog posted on SDN -
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/07/mail-adapter-xi--how-to-implement-dynamic-mail-address
    The following XML message is my source
    <ns0:Messages xmlns:ns0="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Somenamespace">
       <ns0:Message1>
          <ns1:studentlisttest xmlns:ns1="urn:karthiksender_to_karthikreceiver">
             <Student>
                <studentid>1</studentid>
                <lastname>Studentlastname</lastname>
                <firstname>Studentfirstname</firstname>
             </Student>
             <Mail>
                <From>[email protected]</From>
                <To>[email protected]</To>
                <Subject>Test mail adapter</Subject>
             </Mail>
          </ns1:studentlisttest>
       </ns0:Message1>
    </ns0:Messages>
    What I want to accomplish is, I have a simple message mapping where the Studentdetails are mapped to, lets say Customer details. For convenience lets keep it simple, StudentId --> Customerid, (student)Firstname --> (customer)Firstname, (Student)Lastname --> (customer)Lastname
    I would like to get the Customer details as an XML attachment or in the body of an email with from, to and subject corresponding to that specified in the <Mail> node.
    I followed the instructions posted on the blog and it works fine if I don't map the studentdetails to customerdetails. I did multimapping, with one source message (the xml file I posted above) and two target messages (customerdetails and Mail, which is the external definition posted on the blog). I beleive I'm missing something here. Could somebody please guide me through this?
    Thanks
    Karthik

    hi,
    I still have not found the solution for this problem. Michal, your blog works fine when my source message has got only the mail details. As per your advice, I tried modified the structure of the xsd file as follows

    So how would I get this part of the <CustomerlistExternal></CustomerlistExternal> part of the message as an attachment to the mail address specified in the <ns2:Mail></ns2:Mail> tags.
    I'm definitely not understanding it right and am missing something. Could you give me step by step instructions to acheive this. I apologize for the trouble..this would be of great help to me.

  • ARQ: How to configure Role Approve/Reject Email Notifications???

    Hi,
    I would like to achieve below for my business scenario with below MSMP stage configurations:
    MSMS Stages Configurations:
    MANAGER --> Can act on both request and line items level
    Role Owner--> Can ONLY act on line items
    Requirement
    In best case, a Manager approves all the line items in an Access Request. Then an email notification mail for "NEW WORK ITEM" would be sent to Role Owner(s) at next stage. This is achieved.
    Now at Role Owner Stage, below 3 cases are possible:
    1. All Role Owners can approve the line items
    2. All Role Owners can reject the line items
    3. Some of the Role Owners approve and Some of them reject line items
    In all the above cases, a Role Owner ALWAYS click on "SUBMIT" button (as he is not authorized to reject a request as a whole) and this action is considered to be as "APPROVED" and eventually, "APPROVED" event is triggered.
    This looks good in case numbers: 1 & 3. Meaning, even a single role is approved, request can be considered as approved and the request details can be sent to business user.
    However, I am facing a problem when ALL the line items are rejected by ALL the Role Owners!
    This will surely close the request. However, the email notification that will be sent to user in this case will be of "APPROVED" though the request is rejected in a sense (because all the roles are rejected)!
    Can anybody please he understand this and design proper solution?
    Regards,
    Faisal

    Hi Faisal,
    We are on GRC SP13.
    Please do below settings to make role approval/rejection comments mandatory.
    2040 - Set this parameter value as YES
    In MSMP - Role Owner - Stage settings - Please maintain these settings
    I have come across the same scenario as yours. Below is my observation.
    When all role owners rejects all roles by REJECTING roles at LINEITEM level, request instead of getting closed at ROLE OWNER stage, it is going to next stage and getting closed there. I assume this is standard behaviour
    Let's see if we can get experts advise on this.
    Regards,
    Madhu.

  • Configuration of WF approval email notification

    We are on 11.5.10.2 and I have a workflow configuration question. When an approval notification is routed to a manager and he or she views it in their worklist, the response line that has the Approve, Reject, or Request More Information buttions appears at BOTH the top and bottom of the page. But when the manager views it in their email box, the links to Approve, Reject, etc appear only at the bottom of the email. Is there a way to configure the emails so that the response links appear at the top of the page in addition (or instead of) to the bottom of the page, the same as the worklist page? Managers are finding that when viewing/approving via PDAs, part of the notification is being truncated, as is the case with OTL timecard approvals.

    Hi,
    Please see if this thread helps.

    Can any one tell me what should be done for that.
    Thanks
    shashank

    Hi shashank,
    you referenced the configuration for the collaboration service e-mail transport.
    This is needed for instance for the collaboration rooms invitation.
    For notifications about user management you will have to configure e-mail notification in the UME.
    See:

  • Email Notification - Dynamic Participant Step - workflows

    Hi,
    I did not found Email notification for "Dynamic partcipant step" workflow step.
    Can any one help me where i need do changes for sending email using default or custom template to a dynamic user.
    Thanks
    Ravindra

    I can suggest you two things
    1. copy "/libs/cq/workflow/components/model/participant/cq:editConfig/cq:dropTargets" inside "/libs/cq/workflow/components/model/dynamic_participant/cq:editConfig"  and make modification to "cq:dropTargets/participant" and "cq:dropTargets/participant/parameters" by taking reference to "libs/cq/workflow/components/model/dynamic_participant/tab_participant_chooser/items/choo ser" This will help to setup the participant information to workitem metadata collection object (set it locally). Now check if it works. if not and if possible to make changes to property name from "DYNAMIC_PARTICIPANT" to just "PARTICIPANT" and again check (may be it takes only "PARTICIPANT" property from metadata).
    Also check error.log for any error. if found then post us.
    2. Verify your model structure at "/etc/workflow/models" and instances "/etc/workflow/instances" to cross check if everything looks good as expected.
    I think for manual steps the standard workflow classes takes care of notifications based on supplied metadata information.

  • How to configure email notification for Attestation?

    Hi to everyone
    I have configure an attestation process and its working now, but i would like to know how to configure an email notification sent to invited reviewer or particular user based on certain actions when reviewer submit as certify, reject or delegated.
    Thanks in advance.

    There are certain built-in templates for notifications when assigned, delegated, declined, invalid list of reviewers..etc (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B32479_01/doc.903/b32450/attestation.htm#sthref283).
    But I am not aware of notifications based on reviewer's response CERTIFY/REJECT. Not sure if this is an out-of-the-box feature, but you could have a custom task based on the AttestationOperationsIntf class to get this implemented.

    Hi ,
    Based on the description , you need to assign logon scripts to the end users via group policy and also use your exchange server as the smtp server in that logon script to relay emails to the internal recipients.
