Email Notification - Dynamic Participant Step - workflows

Hi,
I did not found Email notification for "Dynamic partcipant step" workflow step.
Can any one help me where i need do changes for sending email using default or custom template to a dynamic user.

I can suggest you two things
1. copy "/libs/cq/workflow/components/model/participant/cq:editConfig/cq:dropTargets" inside "/libs/cq/workflow/components/model/dynamic_participant/cq:editConfig" and make modification to "cq:dropTargets/participant" and "cq:dropTargets/participant/parameters" by taking reference to "libs/cq/workflow/components/model/dynamic_participant/tab_participant_chooser/items/choo ser" This will help to setup the participant information to workitem metadata collection object (set it locally). Now check if it works. if not and if possible to make changes to property name from "DYNAMIC_PARTICIPANT" to just "PARTICIPANT" and again check (may be it takes only "PARTICIPANT" property from metadata).
Also check error.log for any error. if found then post us.
2. Verify your model structure at "/etc/workflow/models" and instances "/etc/workflow/instances" to cross check if everything looks good as expected.
I think for manual steps the standard workflow classes takes care of notifications based on supplied metadata information.

We have a requirement to include additional information in the email notification sent by the workflow to the approver, like
1) Having Invoice Currency Code and PO Number in the header of the notification
2) Adding static text on the body.
3) Also need to add a sentence in the standard text which comes at the bottom of the notification and need to remove the extra RESULT region which is coming in the notification. (Highlighted in bold)
Please click on one of the following choices to automatically generate an E-mail response. Before sending the E-mail response to close this notification, ensure you have provided the reason for rejection within the quotes ‘ ‘ in the body of the email.

Please open the desired workflow in the workflow builder.
--Open the particular Notification
-- Open the related Message.
-- Click on Add which allows you to change the Message context.

How to suppress email notifications from auto-contribute workflow step

Hi all,
does anybody know how to suppress the notification email that is sent from the contribution step (auto-contribute) of a criteria workflow. Now the user doing the checkin gets an email about the start of a workflow.

few comments:
- what is the step type of your 3rd step? Is it Review or Review/Edit-New Revision?
If just Review, what happens if you change it to Review/Edit Revision or Review/New Revision?
- calling just the UPDATE_DOCINFO service does not explain neither sending the email, nor changing the current step. What might be an explanation is calling a CHECKIN service in a Review step (the engine might be confused and 'restart' the workflow as it would not know whether a new, or current revision should be updated)
Well, actually there could be one reason: updating the security group
From whatever reason, criteria workflows are designed in such a way that security group is the mandatory parameter. This means that changing the security group might actually mean that the content item is in a wrong workflow (I was just about to ask "why on earth do you call UPDATE_DOCINFO in a Java?' and this came to my mind - custom metadata might be updated directly in iDocScript via wfUpdateMetaData http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e10726/c06_core_ref.htm#i1067045 ). If that's the case, you might have to re-design the whole stuff.
Can you share details what is updated?

Dynamic n-step workflow

Hi All,
I want to create a WF with n-approval steps depending on customizing but i cannot find any template to look at.
The scenario is the following:
Based on customizing for an element category (element is my object which has to be approved) there could be n approvers.
e.g. element1 belongs to category 'test' and this category has 3 approvers (1 John, 2 Alex, 3 Thomas).
The WF should first send an approval task to John and if John approves another task should be created for Alex otherwise the WF creater gets a message saying his element was not approved.
My problem is how to serialize the approvers?
I can fill the agents table with all the approvers but they get the approval task all at the same time.

Hi Christoph,
Firstly create a rule (Transaction - PFAC) which maps the level to the User ( Approval Levels).
Have the approval step and a level increment step within a loop and exit the loop after the approval step has been executed n times (level > n).
Assign the rule that you have created as the agent for your approval step and map the level element of the workflow container to the level element of the rule.
Every time an user approves the element increment the level.

Auto-included link to list item not working in Workflow or email notification

I made a workflow straight from my SharePoint site--NOT from SharePoint Designer. (My computer is still running on Windows XP, so I can't download Designer until my boss upgrades me to a newer system.) When creating the workflow, you have the option to include
a link to the list item by clicking a checkbox. The links don't work in either the email notification or in the workflow properties. Extra characters are being added for some weird reason. (For example, the correct link looks like "https://www.w14b.comcast.net/sites/<yada
yada>.docx" and the links in the workflow and email look like "http://www.w14spw-po-b1.com/sites/<yada yada>.docx") I see no place to edit the URL. How do I fix the links???

Email Notification for Forwarded Workflow task

Hi all,
Is there a way to trigger an email notification for a Forwarded Workflow task?
That is when we forward a task from my SAP inbox to another SAP user's inbox by clicking on the fwd button, there is no email notification generated to the user notifying that a task has been forwarded to him/her? We have to manually send an email to the person notifying that I have fwded a task in his inbox.
Maybe something in SWNCONFIG...
But what?? not sure... We currently use RSWUWFML2 ...

Do we have to add a new parameter on the general settings tab ? Is there a SAP delivered Parameter (setting) with a value??

Email notification retry

Hi,
Does anyone know if Identity Manager email notifications get automagically resent if they failed intially (because the SMTP server was down)? In my test environment it doesn't.
1. set-up email notifications correctly
2. make sure smtp server is running
3. trigger email notification (by running some workflow)
4. notification received
5. shut down smtp server
6. trigger email notification (...)
7. IDM returns error message
8. start smtp server
9. never receive notification triggered in step 6
Does somebody have a good workaround for this?

Hi Tirumal,
Configure 2 alerts.
One to be triggered when there is the error in tramsmitting the SOAP XML.
Next to be triggered after the retry for 8 hours. If you are using the BPM with wait, then you can associate the Alert with the Exception block of your BPM and trigger the same.
Also, from SP14, Alerts can be triggered for errros in both integratioon engine and adapter engine.

From SP14 onwards, activation of end to end monitoring is not needed for Alerting. Refer to this note 870232 for this info.

OIM 11g - Email Notifications configured in human task is not working

My requirement is to send email to the assignee whenever a request is assigned to the user. I created a custom bpel workflow and configured email notiifcation in the human task for the status 'assign'. I have configured Email driver with following properties:
Sender Addresses = <[email protected]>
Default Sender Address = <[email protected]>
Outgoing Mail Server = <Exchange server host>
Outgoing Mail Server Port = 25
Outgoing Mail Server Security = none
Outgoing Default From Addr = <[email protected]>
I have also set the Notification Mode to 'Email' in Workflow Notification Properties.
However when a request is assigned to the user, email notifications are not sent.
I do not see any errors in the logs. In Enterprise Manager console I navigated to SOA Infrastructure Home > Human Workflow Engine > Notification Management and I could see outgoing email notifications corresponding to the workflow instance with the status showing 'Sent'.
Also the Exchange server that is being used has already been tested for provisioning emails from OIM and it works fine for provisioning.
Any pointers/troubleshooting tip to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

Can't get email notifications to stop - please help!

I have followed the instructions dated June 30, 2010, gone to "MyStuff and followed all the steps in both Email Notifications and Preferences. I'm supposed to attach a screenshot of the Email Notifications tab after step five, which would prove to you that I have indeed checked the radio buttons to "NO", but I can't do that because you have disable attachments. Please be assured that I have done as you say though - they both say NO!
As for the second request - the reply-to address from one of the email notifications, it's this:

Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop the notifications from coming? You may disable my Adobe account if necessary.

I'm aware that I had two sign-ons, but the trouble is, or was, that the first one (ebmeyer1) stopped working.
It is in the midst of the recent Acrobat 8.2.4 update fiasco, and I needed HELP. I was able to post in the relevant thread, but thereafter, whenever I tried to sign on again I got caught in an endless redirect loop after entering my password. I was desperate, so I created a second sign on in order to participate. That worked for awhile, then it too gave the same result - and endless redirect upon password entry.
I was able to participate in THIS thread by pasting in the URL from one of the Acrobat issue email notifications, sent to the second account, into Safari. Only in Safari would the password go through, and only for the second account - not the first.
Now tonight - for a split second - the first account started working again - this time in Firefox. NOW I was able to get to the settings for ebmeyer1 and make the necessary changes. (Thanks for the article!)
I hope to gawd this works. The "Contact Adobe" help page gives no hint of where to write for a situation like this - where accounts suddenly seem to crap out on you. All they do is tell you to sign on. What the hell do you do when you CAN'T??????

Dynamic Dialog in a Dialog Participant Step for Workflow

Hello All,
I am trying to create a Dynamic Dialog in the dialog participant step for a workflow.
so when a user has the Dialog participant step opened up, if they select from a drop down, it will make another textfield hide/show.
In a component dialog I can do something like
var comment = this.find('name', './jrc:content/customComment')[0] to find the field to be shown/hidden.
however when I run this inside a Dialog Participant step, the result is undefined.
Any Sugguestion on how to approach this ?
I am using a listener on the dropdown widget/attribute

Hello,
The find() method will not help you because it searches the property based on configured value which you can not pass in your scenario. If you dont have any constraint with your hide/show field then best way it to configured it with a property "id" (String) and give it some unique value which has not been used by any component in this dialog and then use below method to find out the component.
this.getComponent(id)
when you pass the "id" value the method will return that component and then you can show/hide it.
I have used this approach many times which is easy and fast to find out the component in any container.

Approval workflow - email notification

Hi,
I was run out of idea how to complete my assigned job, need oracle expert to help on email notification workflow.
Currently I am working on workflow enhancement with oracle application E-Business Suite for our company.
My job is to add in new approval process to approve Bank Details transaction through AME.
For this Bank Details transaction, the existing approval process is will only route to HR.
Now my job is to add Admin & Manager approval, which mean once the transaction is submitted and the approval processes are as below:
Admin --> Manager --> HR
But this approval process will fall into 2 scenarios as below criteria.
Scenario1: If the selected Bank Name from List Of View (LOV) not "Other Bank" then the approval process is Manager --> HR
Scenario2: If the selected Bank Name from LOV is "Other Bank" (once Other Bank selected, user will need to enter the new Bank Name) then the approval process is Admin --> Manager --> HR
Once Admin approve, Admin will add the new Bank Name into LOV.
Both scenarios will auto trigger email notification to the approver once there is pending for Admin and Manager approval.
For scenario1, our email process package able to send out email notification to the manager.
But for scenario2, email notification not send to Admin. FYI, our Admin is a group of persons assigned to Admin group.
My doubt here is how to let this email notification able to send out to Admin group?
Hopefully anyone of oracle workflow expert could help me as soon as possible.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to use workflow to send emails to the approvers when a task process completed in SharePoint Designer 2010.
First, when you add the “Start Approval Process” action to create the workflow in SharePoint Designer 2010, you can click on “these users” to set the task process participants and you can choose “One at
a time (serial)” or “All at once (parallel)” to set how the tasks will
be created.
Then, if you want to send an email to the approver when a single task process completed, you can click on “Approval” in the
“Start Approval Process” step to edit the task process and click on “Change the behavior of a single task” in the “Customization”
to add the “Send a Task Notification Email” action in “When a Task Completes” section as below:
And if you want to send emails to the all approvers when all tasks are completed, you can click on “Approval” in
the “Start Approval Process” step to edit the task process and click on “Change the behavior of the overall task process” in
the “Customization” to add the “Send an Email” action in “When the Task Process Completes” section as below:

Dynamic Email Notification Configuration

Hi,
I am using BPM 11g & trying to configure email notification within human task flows and not using any active directory as of now.
I've configured email driver in enterprise console & provided the email host names, outgoing source email id, port through which outgoing mails delivers etc. & to deliver the mails, I've mapped my project's role with the other participants to whom the emails will be sent.
however, I want to send the mail from a id which will be picked dynamically. Can this be configurable using human tasks.

You don´t use workflow builder to set up email notifications.
You need to start a mailer script/process and configure an archive to set your email account. The post above will help you.

Issue in implementing Dynamic participant chooser process Step

I am facing issue in implementing Participant chooser process Step.
I want to create dynamic Participant chooser process Step, I have implemented 'ParticipantStepChooser' class and overwrote 'getParticipant' method. But this process did not appear in Dynamic participant chooser dropdown in CQ5.6 environment.
I deployed same code in CQ5.5 and process appeared in Dynamic participant chooser dropdown.

Not able to get Email Notification even after did all the steps in MDS

I have set simple Human Workflow : If new product come, then email will go to one of the user and get the approval from that user.
For that I created 2 Entities Called Product, Product Status. I have set the Business rule like if the New product has come, then the Product status will be ' Pending for review'. And I selected one of the user in Notification Column in Business Rule Management
Page.
From back End, I have set the data base mail profile and updated the column MDMRootURL with 'My MDS URL' in tblsystemsetting table.
But Still I didnt get Email Notification. What I have missed in this process. Please help me out in this regard. Thanks!

Have you any log information regarding this issue? If so, please post the log to us for further investigation(Right click on Database Mail, and select View Database Mail Log).
