Dynamic Link isn't updating properly when I render my timeline.

Hi guys. I'm having this problem where AE comps I link to in my PP timeline show up correctly in Premiere, but don't render correctly. It always renders out to a previous version of the linked composition, so if I make last minute changes to lower thirds or intro graphics, they never update for the final render (though they do in the Premiere program monitor).
I used to be able to clear the AE disk cache and fix the problem. Not this time. I've tired to reboot, clear any and all caches I can think of, and I'm still rendering out an older version of my linked AE comp, even though it shows up correctly in Premiere.
I'm working on a Mac. I haven't run into this problem on my PC workstation. Any ideas? I'm losing my mind here. For now, I'll render out an AVI from After Effects as a workaround, but I'd love to figure out why this is happening.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Perform a "hard reset" on the device by pressing down and holding the home button and the sleep/wake button for up to 30secs. until you see a black screen with the Apple logo, then release.
Then test to see if it solved the problem.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
Does iTunes launch properly now?
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:

Dynamic Link isn't linking

Hello!
I have CS4 suite (student version, meaning it doesn't have all those lovely extra plugins like keylight and mochaAE).
I created a video in Premiere Pro, but some of my footage was shaky so I opened up AE and imported the footage (not the PPro project) and stabilised the footage. Then I tried to import the footage into PPro to replace my old footage, using the drag and drop method. I got an error message saying the dynamic link server is busy.
Looking in the forums for a solution I believe my problem is that I am using footage already in my PPro project. It seems I can only import footage that is not already in PPro. So I deleted the clip from my PPro project, closed and reopened PPro and then tried to drag and drop it, but I get the same error message. I've tried closing and opening the 2 programs in different orders as directed by some of the posts I read in the Adobe forums but still no joy.
Before deleting the footage I tried the method of right clicking the footage in PPro and selecting replace with AE composition, but I got the error message 'Could not connect to AE'.
I don't know what to do next.
Is there anyone who can give me step by step instructions? I am a bit of a novice - frustrated but keen.

Why won't website navigation links/images/buttons load properly when I set my own font & font size options?

I've just noticed a glitch in Firefox when I go to Tools >> Options >> Content >> Fonts & Colors >> Advanced, and set my own font and font size, and force websites to use them. For some reason, this makes websites' navigation buttons fail to show properly.
For example, a website's search bar will show, but the magnifying glass icon will be a box-with-tiny-code. The boxes-with-tiny-code will also replace things like heart icons for Like buttons, arrow icons for Reply and Page Up/Down, things like that.
The link itself is still there, but with all the buttons replaced by identical-looking boxes-with-tiny-code, it's impossible to see what to click without mousing over and hoping a pop-up label will tell me what to use.
Is there a way around this, because I'd like to be able to set a larger font size without making webpages unusable?
ETA: Images of my Tumblr dash, which shows the prblem most clearly, and the font & size options I picked.

"The page isn't redirecting properly" when trying to log in to my yahoo mail

I can't access my mail.yahoo since I set ssl. I have deleted the related cookies (yahoo.com and mail.yahoo.com) as well the browser cache. i have restarted FF but still nothing. The mail works fine in Google chrome showing me the secure (https) connection at the browser address.

L1 not updated properly when retro via oper GOTC

Hi gurus
Weu2019re running rptime with creation of time tickets to L1.
Has worked fine until weu2019ve put into the schema a retro evaluation via
rule TP07 and oper GOTC.
After that we donu2019t get sync between WST and L1 on the day from which
the retro is taking place.
Anyone experienced the same?

I think you are missing something.
All my testing shows that when the jnlp file has an href,, a HEAD request will be made to the href to check if a newer jnlp file exists on the server. This is confirmed with all recent versions of Java Web Start.
Are you shure that you are handling the timestamping correct for HEAD requests made to the server ?

I think i have a similar trouble. I have updated my website with iweb and i connect on my website, i see always the latest version!!
I have to use my Win7 session to read an updated website.
I think this problem occured after the last iweb update.
Another problem : maybe Safari reads only the last visit and keep in its history and never actualize..?
no solution except to delete the old website?

Issue with Dynamic Link with Premiere CC and After Effects

I'm having a strange and annoying issue with Dynamic linked clips in Premiere CC:
When I render or export my timeline the progress will stall when it hits a dynamic linked clip. It will stay stalled until I click the After Effects application and make it the active window. Once that happens the render/export resumes at normal speed.
This is annoying as I can't start a render and walk away or work on different windows, I have to babysit all the renders to make sure they go through.
Has anybody experienced this and know of any solutions?
I'm running the latest version of Premiere (7.2.1) and After Effects 12.2.0.52 on Mavericks 10.9.1 with a GTX 770 Video Card.

Does it still pause if AE is closed completely? I often experience slower AME renders from Premiere over dynamic link material when AE is open. Closing AE speeds things up. Go figure.

How can I retain Speedgrade Lumetri effect on a Premiere clip when dynamic linking that clip to Afte

I'm trying to streamline the workflow between me (editor) and the animator at my office.
Right now we are exporting clips as ProRes files to be tracked and rotoscoped by the animator in AE and then dropping them back in Premiere. We work off a server so it would be much faster to simply dynamic link my clip that needs screen replacement animation into an After Effects comp. Then the animator could open that After Effects file on the server and do their work then just save it so it will automatically repopulate in my timeline with the tracked shot.
The problem is here. I want to color correct in Speedgrade before animation so I'm not having to track around screens. So I color correct and the clips come back to Premiere with the Speedgrade Lumetri effects applied. Then I dynamic link to AE. But when the tracked shot returns from AE, the Lumetri color effect is completely lost, which causes me to have to re-color and track around the screen replacement animation.
Does anyone have any tips for this? The help is much appreciated.

I just responded to this on another thread, but let me repeat it here for convenience:
Like you, I too (and I presume most everyone) first send to SG for color correction and then (actually after another SG trip for grading) replace with AE comp for effects work. And when I try that with my CC 2014, I have the same issue (all SG effects disappear after replace with AE comp). But I believe I've found a simple workaround (at least working great so far):
Instead of replace with AE comp, open AE and drag the PP comp to the AE projects - it will appear like a clip.
Create an AE comp with that and do your thing.
Save as AE project and import it into PP - it will appear like a clip that you can use in PP (as if you'd done a replace with AE comp).
Everything will be dynamic: if you change the SG corrections, the changes will get reflected everywhere (in AE as well as the AE project imported in PP), and what you do in SG will apply BEFORE the AE stuff, which is exactly what we want. Looks like Adobe put all the capability in, but the replace with AE comp is not making use of it yet - I will report this.
One other related issue is that for some weird reason, you can't drag the imported AE project in PP onto a PP sequence, BUT you can select it and ask to create a new PP sequence! Go figure.

Encore locks up when using the Adobe Dynamic Link to import Bluray video.

When I try to import video into Encore by using either the Adobe Dynamic Link or by opening Encore and importing as a timeline, Encore locks up during the "Prepare Transcode Settings" . I have Adobe Master Suite CS5 which was a download version. I've had this software since May 2011. I have been able to use import video in the past, but there seems to be an issue with Encore now. Has the program been corrupted? If I need to download Encore to repair it, how do I do this?

Adobe Media Encoder CC renders do not reflect changes to Dynamically Linked After Effects Comps

When rendering a Premiere timeline with a dynamically linked After Effects composition, Adobe Media Encoder will sometimes use an older version of the linked composition (even after I have saved changes in the After Effects comp).
For example, if I correct a spelling mistake on some text in After Effects, save the composition, and then add the sequence to the render queue in Premiere, the final output from media encoder still has the old spelling.
If I do a straight export from Premiere instead of adding to render queue, the output is always correct. I've noticed this problem on several different Windows 8.1 systems.
All versions of the software are up to date as of today.
Why is this? Is it something to do with the disk cache in After Effects? Does media encoder have it's own cache that I need to clear?

Hi, I've been having this same issue. Here are some additional things I've noticed about it:
Changes are reflected properly when played back on timeline in Pr CC 2014.
Happens regardless if the dynamic link file was rendered or not, thus deleting the render files does not fix the issue.
The issue can persist through saving, closing, and reopening both AE and Pr.
I'm using OSX 10.9.4, so this is not just a PC issue.
Other than manually watching for every change to be reflected in the render, there is no way to know a problem has occurred. Needless to say this can be incredibly costly.
Please address this quickly, it's completely unacceptable that what we render out could be a different version from what we see on the timeline.
PS Some additional things I will be testing:
Does the issue persist through closing all CC apps, including Media Encoder.
Does rendering directly out of Pr, i.e. not using Media Encoder, fix the issue.

Warp Stabilizer through After Effects Dynamic Link Locks up in CS6

Hey Gang,
I've been using Warp Stabilizer through dynamic link in CS5.5 without issues. However, when I go through dynamic link into AE, then apply Warp Stabilizer, AE locks up?
I can apply any other effects through this path in AE without issue, but when I try to apply WS, I get the "Analyze", but AE stops cold there.
I've tried:
-Opening new project in PP with basic 5 second clip. Then going through dynamic link into AE, and applying warp stabilizer first thing. AE locks up there with the simplest flow.
-I have the latest downloads of the entire production CS6 suite.
-If I apply warp stabilizer directly in Premiere CS6 (which I did not know previously I could do), it works fine! (Just noticed Warp Stabilizer is present in PP CS6, but not in CS5.5).
-If I try to import the Premiere project from AE, AE locks up doing that?
It appears there are multiple issues here:
1. I can't apply Warp Stabilizer in After Effects, and doing so crashes AE.
2. I can't import a Premiere project into After Effects, and doing so crashes AE too?
I'm assuming I'm going to need to download AE again?

thank you for your input. Naturally I would expect if my work flow in CS5.5 works great, I would not have to make any changes in CS6 to accomplish the same task. With that said, I made it as simple as possible for CS6 AE to handle the Warp Stabilizer effect, and it crashed? If I went directly back to CS5.5, no problems at all in AE (same source footage, but of course different projects). When I first tried CS6 AE it appeared to work fine, even when doing Warp effects. So when I ran into the issue I saw above, I started thinking it was possible the update I did to AE may have caused some other issue. By the way, the projects I open in both CS5.5 vs. CS6 were independent, meaning, I did not convert a CS5.5 job to CS6, etc... (See notes below).
My setup is standard:
i7 960
16G mem
Nvidia Quadro 4k
Footage is Canon 5D Mkii 1080p
All drivers up to date.
-I think going back and forth between CS5.5 and CS6 may have caused some issues? When I rebooted my system, CS6 AE seems to work fine when applying Warp Stabilizer effects again.
-What I did find more interesting and effective, was that CS6 Premiere has Warp Stabilizer right in its own effects now! Works great in the premiere flow and plays back far better then going through the Dynamic Link with After Effects! When playing Dynamic link effects back in Premiere, I'm sure everyone sees performance issues in the playback. However, in at least with applying Warp Stabilizer directly in Premiere, the playback performance is much better.
