    Hi Nik,
    Sorry for late reply. I was distracted by other emergencies.
    I tried new collect/analyzer. It is not supporting my system. Seems I have to upgrade J2SE. Please advise. Thanks!

  • Handling PI 7.1 RFC Lookup Exception in Graphical Mapping

    Dear Experts,
              I would like to know the better way of handling PI 7.1 - RFC Lookup Exception in Graphical Mapping without using  BPM. Say I perform a RFC Lookup from PI 7.1 Graphical Mapping and it fails due to RFC server down. In this case I suppose the RFC exception would be returned as response to the mapping? But, am really not sure how this response (RFC Exception) could be effectively used. Please clarify.
    Thanks,
    Hussain.

    Hi Hussain,
    I am not sure if I understood you query completely.
    IF the RFC look up raised some exception then how this is going to impact your interface will depend your mapping (which you did in ESR)
    (the following is adopted from help.sap,com)
    If you handled exceptions  by selecting Use Exceptions checkbox in the function properties of the standard function, the mapping editor adds an additional parameter in red (the bottommost return parameter) to the standard function in the data-flow editor. If you do not assign a target field to this return parameter, ignore the RFC exceptions (the message mapping is not terminated at runtime). Otherwise the mapping runtime transfers the exception as an XML structure and it can then be evaluated in a user-defined function, for example. If there is no exception, the mapping runtime transfers an empty context.
    If you have not selected the Use Exceptions checkbox, the mapping runtime terminates the message mapping if an exception occurs during the RFC lookup.
    Is this you are looking here?

  • RFC Failed: Exception condition "CNTL_ERROR" raised

    Hi All,
    I have an RFC in R/3 which would be called from the .NET front end. When they run the RFC, they get an error which says
    RFC Failed: Exception condition "CNTL_ERROR" raised
    Could any one help me what is the work around for this?
    Regards,

    Hi Guru,
    You are correct. Check the RFC for an call for screen/popup/dialog/user input etc.
    Such error occurs for the system is expecting a user input.

  • Dynamic Configuration Error:  Exception:[java.lang.IllegalArgumentException

    Hi All,
    I am using dynamic configuration to put a string to the message header. i have created a tilde delimited string with the length more than 200(length=928). During mapping i am using dynamic configuration to put this in SOAP header. But everytime i execute scenario i get an error:
    "com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf7.MessageMappingException: Runtime exception when processing target-field mapping; root message: Exception:[java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Value is too long (928/200): "
    Is there a limit to the length of the string that can be placed in the dynamic configuration ?

    I think the above error does say about that..!! Try putting data like 201 chars and the 200 chars, then see what happens.

  • How to Handle RFC delivery exception (rfcClientException) in XI?

    I have a following scenario.
    I have an outbound soap interface (sender) and inbound RFC(receiver). When the soap message is posted it goes to receiver where it has to execute the RFC. It tries to convert the XML to RFC and throws the following exception.
    com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: could not convert request from XML to RFC:com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$ConversionException: (122) JCO_ERROR_CONVERSION: Date 'xxxx-xx-xx' has a wrong format at field CREAT_DATE: Unparseable date: "xxxx-xx-xx
    I defined the fault message and attached it to the Inbound Interface. I also defined the mapping of receiver exception message to fault message. I am expecting a fault message back to sender which is not happening.
    When I go to moni and try to look for the error in the response message I see the following.
    <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">

    <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
    <SAP:Stack />
    <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
    </SAP:Error>
    I am suspecting that since the fault message does not contain this structure it's not able to build it.
    How do I handle such runtime exception and transfer it to sender system. Any help would be greatly apperciated.

    I have the same problem. The error is as follows:

  • Dynamic RFC call

    Hi,
    In a general scenario, all RFC destinations are defined in SM59, and programs call other system, by using the following method.
    Call function 'ABC' destination dest.
    I want to try and make a dynamic call, to another system, without making an SM59 entry.
    Background:
    I have some scheduled programs running on one system, to fetch system related data from different systems and create a report. Thus I do not have to logon to each system and get data myself. For this, I have created RFC destinations on SM59, for all those systems, using my login id and password, and have told in the program to use those RFC destinations. Since I am a dialog user, I fear that someone who has access to SM59, may use my RFC destination to remotely login to the destination system. So, I want to make an RFC call, without specifying the ID/ password in SM59, but through the calling program.
    I know that if I don't give the ID/ password in SM59, the program will prompt for password, upon execution. But that is not I want. I want to specify the ID and password in the calling program selection screen and then execute the program to get the result.
    Thanks,
    Juwin.

    Hi,
    Solved it myself.
    In the program...
    *l_destin = Build a dummy name for destination
    *Use selection screen parameters to create RFC destination
      call function 'RFC_MODIFY_R3_DESTINATION'
        exporting
          destination                = l_destin
          action                     = 'I'
    *....additional parameters.....
    *Call actual RFC function
      call function 'ZABC'
        destination l_destin.
    *Delete the temporary destination
      call function 'RFC_MODIFY_R3_DESTINATION'
        exporting
          destination                = l_destin
          action                     = 'D'
    *....additional parameters.....
    This way, I do not create a RFC destination in SM59, and so others cannot use it. The RFC destination is created only for a split of a second, to faciliate the call.
    Thanks,
    Juwin.

  • RFC JDBC Exception Handling

    Hello,
    i have the following scenario:

    Is it possible to catch JDBC-exceptions, e.g. "duplicate primary key" and pass it to the calling rfc adapter?
    thanks for your help

    Hello,
    still my problem is the exception handling of the synchronous JDBC - call.
    If an error occurs I get the error "no payload found" in sxmb_moni_bpe

  • Dynamic JNLP causes exception on 1st run after java install

    I have a dynamic JNLP file (php) which runs my software. It works just fine, except for the 1st time it is run after a user has installed Java.
    I get the exception; "The following field was missing from the jnlp file: <jnlp>". When I look at the jnlp code in JWS in the "Launch File" tab of the error message, I see that the JNLP is not there - but the page the user would see if he was not logged into the system (as if JWS has cached the file or something).
    If I close it down, press F5 to refresh, and run it again everything works fine.
    I'm running the dyanmic.jnlp?dummy=randomnumber943934 to prevent caching. In addition, these headers are sent: (php code)
    header("Last-Modified: " . gmdate("D, d M Y H:i:s") . " GMT");
    // HTTP/1.1
    header("Cache-Control: no-store, no-cache, must-revalidate");
    header("Cache-Control: post-check=0, pre-check=0", false);
    // HTTP/1.0
    header("Pragma: no-cache");.. so nothing should be cached. But I'm not sure that's where the problem is - cause it only happens the first time after a java install.
    Any clues?

    I think you're dynamicallt created jnlp is invalid in someway; I can use the following without any problems:
    <?php
    header("Content-type: application/x-java-jnlp-file");
    echo "<?xml version=\"1.0\" ?>\n";
    $codebase = trim(stripslashes(urldecode($_REQUEST["codebase"])));
    $href = trim(stripslashes(urldecode($_REQUEST["href"])));
    echo "<jnlp spec=\"1.0+\" codebase=\"$codebase\" href=\"$href\">\n";
    ?>
    </jnlp>
    you should try and test the output of your generated code, something like this should work:
    test.php
    <html>
    <body>
    <textarea rows=20 cols=70>
    <?php
    include 'mydynamicscript.php';
    ?>
    </textarea>
    </body>
    </html>
    The first time a jnlp is called it is downloaded into the browser cache and javaws.exe is executed on it from that location, this in turn downloads the jnlp again from the passed codebase & href attributes into the jws cache. Subsequent calls the jnlp are extracted from the copy in the webstart cache, and often downloaded from the codebase & href attributes when it detects possible changes. In your case these jnlp files seem to differ.

    Hi Marie,
    as Matthew says, the only part of the code that could result in that error is the select into statement. This is because, in pl/sql, a select into statement is expected to return one row only. If it returns no rows it raises a no data found exception and if it returns more than one row it raises a too many rows error.
    If it is acceptable that this query may return no rows, then you have to handle this situation. The two methods that you can use would be firstly to use a named cursor and fetch a row from this, if there is no data then it does not raise an exception. The other method would be to put in an exception handler around the select statement.
    EG - prefered, mainly because I think it is better to code in a way that minimises exception handling.

  • Strange Case on Security Rights and Dynamic SQL (Execute Immediate)

    Hi friends, (forgive me if I write with wrong grammar and sentence, I not used English for daily)
    I got a weird trouble yesterday.
    I created a package (we can called it X, OK!?) which containing Execute Immediate Statement, that function to delete a table (we can called it Y).
    Several days ago, it's worked, but yesterday it wasn't. Last things happened before was recreate those table, and regrant to a role which including user account that execute package X.
    Error Msg shown is ORA-00942 : Table or view does not exist. After rechecked and rechecked, I found nothing that could trigger that error, I used DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE to debug and show what statement resulted and executed, I cut and paste, and it's worked. I created anonymous PL/SQL Block, and wrote it and executed it, and worked.
    Finally, today, We Grant explicitly those table to user account Y, not via Role, ... and it's work. Interesting thing I think :P
    And, I revoke, execute package and run. I think, there's something about Oracle he..he.. :D .
    Can somebody help me and explain me the reason of that strange symptomp? and right solution? I must know it, because several days again, it's launched / install.

  • RFC/BAPI Exception in PI 7.0

    Hi there,
      currently we have a scenario where the message come from middleware and pass through PI to POSDM system via RFC.
    my target structue is an BAPI .
      for some reason if the BAPI execution gets failed on POSDM system then the BAPI should return some exception back to PI system,
      can this be achived only by just adding the fault message type (ExchangeFaultData) in Inbound MI, whill this setting sufficient to get any error info from BAPI to PI via rfc, or do we need to do some exception mapping? if so can some one explain/

    Monika,
    RFM that pretends to be a BAPI has to follow a few strict rules. Some of them are :
    - BAPI is called always synchronously and are always successful i.e. errors are returned in EXPORT parameter (so  no matter if BAPI created some document/posting or not is successful!)
    - it does not return exceptions!
    so you should not advise to make use exceptions ...  otherwise it will not be a BAPI
    The one of possible solution is to wrap BAPI either using proxy or RFM and then you can propagate exceptions to SAP PI.
    /Jakub

  • Wrong Language occurs from RFC execute

    Hi,
    In WD application called via RFC a FM,
    In production system the cluster is structurated with load balancing, when we call a Application the language is "EN" for one Dialog Instances and "IT" for other dialog instances.
    This parameter not pass in application suorce code and set  "IT" paramenter in JCo Destinations.
    I hope in your know How.

  • RFC -File Sync Async bridge RFC Adapter Exception

    Hi
    I am using sync async bridge to send a response back to rfc.
    Although there is no error in sxmb_moni as well as the auditlog shows that the response was sent successfully to rfc.. still the RFC adapter gives the following error with no response sent to RFC..
    Error in processing caused by: com.sap.aii.af.rfc.RfcAdapterException: failed to identify XML document:java.lang.Exception: javax.xml.parsers.FactoryConfigurationError: Provider com.sap.engine.lib.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl not found
    please help

    Solved the problem..
    The problem could be due to the following..
    1. the response structure was just a single character..while i was sending a whole string..
    2. I restarted the server...probably the problem
    javax.xml.parsers.FactoryConfigurationError: Provider com.sap.engine.lib.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl not found
    system property must have set mismatch for the SAXFactoryImpl.... by deploying modules before in which i was using SAX parser.. may be the i set the system property earlier to other provider dont remember...
    Hope this information will be useful to someone in future using Sync/Async bridge
