Dynamic tabs not firing disclosure event

Hi,
I am using a af:panelSpringboard with showDetailItems dynamically created using af:iterator bound to collection model.
Lets consider each element in the collection model is referred by variable "row". I see that tabs getting created properly with text from iterator element (say, #{"row.name"}).
I have added sub-component (tree) under showDetailItem. I notice that only the first tab (first to get disclosed) is getting disclosed properly with tree getting rendered.
I have disclosureListener on the showDetailItem which I expect to get fired upon disclosure of each tab in the tabs list.
But subsequent click on any other tab (showDetailItem) does not seem to fire disclosure Event nor the child components of the tab (tree) is getting rendered properly.
Is this due to component id conflict on showDetailItem?

The above code was working earlier, but later on once I added more processing on the data, the event was not fired at all after some point of time.
I am disposing the frame every time. Why this is happening? How to fix this problem?

Carmine, Thanks a lot for prodding the references. I am in the process of designing it.
Meanwhile, since as you said the above code was holding the frame data and disposing the frame after processing it, so I though of changing the style little bit. Please see the code below-

But still after some time, the event is not fired out.

Dynamic Actions not firing when using date picker?

The dynamic actions don't seem to be triggering when selecting a date from the date picker, but trigger just fine when the dates are manually entered. Anyone else have this problem and if so is there a workaround to get it to work from the date picker as well? I am using Application Express 4.0.1.00.03
And how can I report this problem?

I'm already using Change.
If it matters, I have it set to:
Event: Select
Selection Type: Item
Condition: No Condition
My action type is just an alert right now since all I want to do is to see if I can trigger it (as in you have to walk before you can run).
Event Scope: Live
Conditon type: Dynamic Action not Conditional
Authorization Scheme: No Authorization Required

Dynamic tab not showing data

JDev 11.1.1.4, JHS 11.1.1.3
I have a table with a groupLink field that opens another group in a dynamic tab. When I put in some debug output I can see that the underlying view for the new dynamic tab is querying up the correct data, but when the tab opens up it says "No rows found". I have a couple of other groupLinks on other pages, one of which works, one of which gives the same result as this one. They are all setup according to the directions in the JHS developer's guide. Any insight anyone has would be appreciated.

Custom dynamic action not firing

Using Apex 4.2.2 on 11g
I have a standard report A1
There is a column link on report A1 which refreshes chart C1 using a custom dynamic action.
The column link on report A1 has the URL set to javascript:$.event.trigger('RefreshTrend_2', [{key_2:'#COL01#' }]);
and there is a dynamic action D1 RefreshTrend_2 which sets the value of the chart filter P17_KEY_2 to the value of the javascript variable key_2 and then refreshes chart C1
The dynamic action is custom with a type DOMObject of document and no condition
This works fine but when I add another report/chart (report A2, chart C2) combination with a similar dynamic action (D2), D2 is a copy of D1 with the values for the variables and chart region changed.
The A2/C2 functionality works fine on its own, D2 gets fired when I click the column link, but not when there are 2 dynamic actions of custom/document on the page.
This column link on A2 only fires the dynamic action D2 if dynamic action D2 has a higher sequence than D1 (if i move it above D1 in the list it will fire, but then D1 does not fire for the column link on A1
Am I missing something?

Flash Player 11.2 not firing onCuePoint event

In my current flash project i'm using a flv with cuepoints to trigger certain events.
After flash player update to 11,2,202,228 debug version (Firefox 11, Win7), those cuepoints will no longer work.
Before updating the project worked fined. In IE9, Flash player 11.1 everything is OK.
Anybody else with this problem?

Does this problem exist with the release player on Firefox? Do you have any sample swf's where I can see this behavior?

Dynamic Action, validation check, on an Item, could not use Change event

I am learning how to use Dynamic Actions in a 3.2.x app that was upgraded to 4.0.x. I wanted to share what I learned adding client side validation with these actions. Perhaps an Apex guru could suggest an easier method to use this feature.
I have an existing function where a user selects multiple rows in a report page, and then assigns a single status and enters justification text for the selected rows in another page, then saves changes (via submit).
One item, justification, is required. I replaced my JavaScript validation of an empty value, e.g., P10_JUSTIFICATION.value, with a dynamic action. The Change event was a candidate for this item, with the "is not null" Condition. However, it is possible to initiate this screen to review the status, overlook the justification text and immediately select a button to save changes. No Change event has fired. The Before Page Submit event was applicable here. This Event selection in the wizard does not provide the Item for definition and then the Condition wasn't the right context though available for selection. I selected JavaScript expression for the Condition, actually entered my original JS test expression, and created one True Action. The True action displays an Alert to tell the user that required text is missing.
Test of this DA was not completely successful. The alert appeared but the page went on to submit anyway. I found I had to add another True Action, Cancel Event, to stop the submit. The DA was then successful.
The Apex site examples, [http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/db/apex/r40/apexdynactions/apexdynactions_ll.htm] , do a great job showing use of Change and Set Value events for Items but a user may not always navigate through items. These features were promoted for developers with no to little knowledge of JavaScript to use Apex for application development. This DA required using/understanding JS anyways.
My next step is to implement actions on a tabular form that that has required values. It is disconcerting that I have read in the forum that the column value references such as f0x and its row number are required to get it all working (as a DOM or JQuery selector). I have already found that tabular form columns can be re-ordered from v3.2.1 to 4.0.x. I was hoping I could declare dynamic actions or simpler Javascript methods that would not rely on f0x array references.

OnRowUpdating Event not firing in my DataGrid in custom web part in my production SharePoint 2013 Foundation instance

I have a custom visual web part that I've developed for SharePoint 2013 Foundation. I am using Visual Studio 2013 to develop this web part.
In my visual web part I have GridView that I use to update data in a SQL 2008 R@ Server Database. In dev and test the OnRowUpdatingEvent fires properly, but in production it does not. I have the same version of SharePoint running on dev/test/prod.
The main difference between the three environments is the hardware. Production has a much beefier sever than dev and test. Dev and test are also virtual machines where production is.
At first I thought my problem was cache related, and I made adjustments per this article:

That didn't help because the event is still not firing. I took my test application and pointed it to the production database, and that event still fires in test but not in production. So I believe that eliminates database permission errors since I'm
using the same credentials in both instances.
My guess is that I need to change some settings in the production environment, but I'm not sure at this point what that might be.
Any suggestions on what settings to look at?

CS Extension, Script UI and events not firing in Photoshop CS5

I'm a bit confused with two technologies dealing with SWF panels. There was a technique in the previous versions of Photoshop when SWF content has been loaded into a ScriptUI Window. Is it changed? Or does it still work together with CS Extension extensions?
I have a script that creates ScriptUI Window and then loads an SWF into it. It has a custom 'mousemove' event listener that helped to move this window around the screen. Now - in the new Photoshop CS5 (I tried 12.0.1 as well) - it seems like the 'mousemove' event is not fired for ScriptUI windows containing SWFs.
I'm not sure, maybe it has something to do with the new SWF treament in CS5?
If I'm wrong, then I'm sorry, if this question doesn't fall into this forum's area of expertise.

It actually has to include both the PHSP "AND" the PHXS host names for it to work - this is stupid!
If I only use PHXS the extension manager is not able to install the extension, saying it cannot find a host that matches the manifest (even though my photoshop IS the extended variation, so in a sense it's more acurate manifest-wise), and if I only use the PHSP, it IS loaded but doesn't appear in the application!
AND THERE IS NO DOCUMENTATION ON THIS PHENOMENON ANYWHERE!

Event.deactivate is not firing with flash plugin 10,2,152,26 embeded in IE 8 and above

I am working on a portal which is built in flex. I wanted to perform some action based on my applications is in focus or out of focus. So I tried to use two Events for this purpose Event.Activate and Event.Deactivate inside my flex code.
These events fire perfectly in FF 3.0 and above, Safari, Chrome and these events get triggered till IE 7.
But when I switch to IE 8 and above versions with latest flash player plugin 10,2,152,26 the Event.deactivate is not firing, and I am not able to detect whether my Flex application is out of focus.
I tried doing some research around this issue both using Flex Events and Javascript approach using window.onfocusin and window.onfocusout, but still no luck in IE 8 and higher versions with latest Flash plugin 10,2,152,26.
Has someone faced this kind of issue. Any help or solution to this problem would be appreciated. As we have a large number of users viewing this portal in IE 8 with latest flash plugin.

this is a known issue (or, really a collection of issues) related to how the deactivate event works in different browsers. check colin moock's blog.
for most, but not all, purposes using a mouseleave event works well-enough.

UI Dynamic Tabs Shell - Child Taskflow not rendering / instantiated

Hi All,
I have had this problem, ever since rebuilding my application using Jdev 11.1.2, although I am not convinced this is a problem with Jdveloper verison.
Basically, I have developed the UI to open new task flows as dynamic tabs, making use of the tab context API as published. The application works perfectly and I can create new dynamic tabs and close them fine.
Once I add a data control af:table to the child taskflow however and display this, the taskflow opens fine. The weird behavior begins, after I close this, using the standard UI removecurrent tab icon (the little x to the far right of the form), I cannot re-open another task flow. A new tab is created, however the taskflow within this (one being called) does not render or instantiate.
If I remove the table from the page fragment, normal behavior resumes.
I am at a complete loss as to why this is occurring.
Any insights would be great.
I would also like to point out... no errors are written to the log, even at the Finest level. The launch method also completes successfully. If I don't close, I am only able to open a maximum of 3 tabs before the render issue occurs.

Hi Frank,
Well you were right, this was an implementation issue, but one being caused by some different behaviour in 11.1.2. I was actually setting the tab_id dynamically after the user has selected a row, via clicking a link. The ID was returning null hence the weird tab behaviour.
Ironically, it was actually another recent note that you have posted http://blogs.oracle.com/jdevotnharvest/entry/jdeveloper_11_1_2_command that led me to the solution!!

ADF Pgaes with Dynamic Tab Shell not rendering in iPAD 1+

We have used Oracle Dynamic Tab Shell templates to build our Dashboard page with multiple dynamic tabs.
One year back when we initially created the main Dashboard with Dynamic Tab Shell and used UIShell API's to open new dynamic tab on click of command links in left hand side navigator. We started with Jdev 11.1.1.3 and we upgrade till Jdev 11.1.1.5.
Now recent requirement is, we need to test our applications in Safari browser within iPAD(2.0). While testing we observed below issues.
1) The JSPX page with Dynamic Tab Shell is keep showing "Loading..." We had to refresh the Safari browser twice to render the page.
2) Any af:commandLink as part of the JSPX which has dynamic tab shell template, not working. We have bunch of links on left navigator and on click of each link will open a new dynamic tab(we use UIShell API) . Nothing happens on click of those af:commandLinks.
3) We have "Home" and "Logout" links on top right corner. Nothing happening on click of those links too.
All these like af:commandLinks and af:commandButtons working as expected when we have them in side a JSPX page w/o dynamic tab shell.
Tested and observed same behavior both in iPAD 1.0 and newer version iPAD 2.0.
We desperately need help on thin. Pls let us know, if i need to provide more details. Is there any specific configurations required to make it work in Jdev 11.1.1.5? At this point we can not upgrade our Env to 11.1.1.6 or 11.1.2 as we already have these Apps in Production and we should give the users flexibility to use it in iPAD.

Yes- I have seen the support for iPAD and iOS are more enhanced it in 11.1.1.6 and later versions.
But we already hosted our apps in Production which is currently 11.1.1.5. We have complex workflows designed in SOA suite too.
Now, if we need to upgrade to 11.1.1.6, we need to basically do validate/test all our applications on new release and it cost us. CLient may not approve for upgrade as of now.
Is there any guidance or way for customers like us who are on 11.1.1.5 version, to get the ADF features and support for iPAD or iOS? Kind of backward compatible patches kind of thing?
Do we need to log a SR on ORACLE?
Please suggest!!

When-tab-page-changed not firing

I have 2 seperate forms opened on a single page. One displays on left side of screen and has tabs. One display on right side. If I am currently on my right side form (no tabs) and click on a tab on the left side form, it seems the 'When-tab-page-changed; trigger is not firing the first time. I have tried this on 6i and 10g webforms. If I try it on client/server 6i it works. Any suggestions?

I just tried this with 10gR2 in web. My form with the tabs only get focus and does not call when-tab-page-changed when you click on a tab after returning from the other form.
A 2nd button press does then call the when-tab-page-changed.

Hi, onUnload event is not firing in Safari browser. I tried with different ways to capture that event but i failed to capture that event. So please help me on this, give suggestions to capture that event. Or any other event is firing when window is closing. Actually, i need to execute when window is closing. But in Safari the window is closing without firing of any events.

Safari doesn't execute the unLoad action when closing windows, period!
It only executes it when loading another page.
I might be wrong but I think Safari doesn't allow you to close a window with Javascript at all. All close events are blocked.
Maybe a SWF file can do it somehow. But I'm not sure...
