E-Filing GB using SAP XI with ECC 6.0

Hi,
Has any one come across the e-Filing GB Implementing the scenario using XI?
I have downloaded the Content(e-Filing GB.tpz & SAP HR 6.0.tpz) from SMP which is mentioned in the document.
Successfully imported the content in IR, i can able to see the all the objects for corresponding SWC,But the problem is when i'm clicking on NEWHIRE Integration Scenario from SAP HR Component it throws an error
" Error in accessing action" .
In ID i have imported the Integration scenario, Configuring through the wizard base configuration. While configuring in Step 2 Assigning service for Role 'SAP HR Component' , Product displays as TEMPLATE but it has to show the SAP ERP.
Step 3 Configure Connections i'm not able to see any communication channel.
SAP ERP : ECC 6.0
SAP XI     : PI 7.0 - SP09
If anyone come across the scenario, pls share your experiences.
Appreciate your help in advance.
Regards,
vasanth

    Hello Dears,

  • Use sap webdispatcher with multiple hosts

I need to support 2 different senerios with our SAP Webdispatcher.  I need to have some users accessing services on our backend ECC system using SSL between the SAP Web Dispatcher and the client.  I have another group of users that need to use a different URL that does not need to use SSL.  Do I need to run 2 separate instances of SAP Webdispatcher or can I configue one to handle both accesses?

Are all the users accessing the same back end system?  If they are, you should be able to do it with one dispatcher.  You would just need to configure two ports in the <SID>_Wxx_hostname profile, e.g.:
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=80
    icm/server_port_1 = PROT=ROUTER,PORT=443
This will route users to who connect to the web dispatcher on port 80 to the backend system via HTTP, and users who connect to the web dispatcher on port 443 will be routed to the backend system via HTTPS (Using end-to-end ssl).
If you're trying to route users to different back end systems, I think you will need multiple web dispatchers.  As far as I know, a web dispatcher will only load balance users over a single system.  But I'm not 100% on that, so maybe somebody else knows for sure.
    Hope this helps,
    Glenn

  • Filters not getting passed in MDX query while using SAP BW with OBIEE

    Hello,
I've been working on OBIEE with SAP BW as back-end. I've created some reports & those are working fine when there is less amount of data. But when I try to run a report with 3 dimensions & 1 fact it throws an error saying "No more storage space available for extending an internal table". When I checked MDX query, I found that the filters that I had applied to request & also selected from prompts are not getting passed in that query. So, I tried running a simple request using a simple filter in Answers. Although this request returns results but I can't see filter conditions in query. MDX query always show crossjoin but I can't see filter conditions anywhere.
Is it the normal OBIEE behaviour OR am I doing something wrong in there? Can you please help me out with this?
    Thanks,
    Rocky

    Hello Sainath,
We tried those things. But it is still giving same error.
State: HY00. Code: 10058. [NQODBC][SQL_STATE:HY000][nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. XML/A error returned from the server: Fault code: "XMLAnalysisError.0X80000005". Fault string: "The XML for Analysis provider encountered an error: MDX result contains too many cells (more than 1 million)". (HY000)
The problem here, I think, is the filter parameters are not getting passed in the MDX query. Any idea why would that happen? Is there any setting to do so?
    Thanks in advance for help.
    Regards,
    Rocky

  • Is it possible to use XSS 2005 on EP7 with ECC 5.0 ?

    Hi all,
I have an ECC5.0 and I want to upgrade my EP6 to EP7. I'm using XSS 2004 on EP6 and I want to use XSS 2005 on that EP7. I've seen on different notes that it is not possible to use XSS 2005 with ECC 5.0 as a back end.
Is there any solution to connect XSS 2005 to ECC 5.0 ??? Please I really need a positive answer
    Thanks,

    Hi Joseph,
I have gone thru same problem in my last project but my situation was little different.
Actually Business Package of ESS/MSS has two components:
    1. Portal Objects (iView, Roles, Pages etc )
    2. XSS - The Java WebDynpro Code (which in turn contain 3 component SAP_ESS, SAP_MSS, PUSIC_GP)
Also the prerequisite is that we should have SAP_HR (will give HR functionalities in ECC) and EA_HR (contains RFC, structure required for XSS).
Now the restriction imposed by SAP is that SAP_HR, EA_HR and XSS should be on same version and patch level. Make sense also. However there are situation where you can deviate from above restriction. (I will explain the same below).
So what you can do is to install the Portal objects(iView, Roles, Pages etc ) on EP 7.0 (can be installed on EP 6.0 and federated to EP 7.0), install XSS 2004 on EP6.0 (having JAVA 640) and connect the same with ECC 5.0.
You are looking to install Portal Objects, XSS 2005 on EP 7.0 and connect with ECC 5.0. This is possible but NOT recommended. Actually XSS 2005 WebDynpro will look for enhanced structures, RFC in ECC, which XSS will not find and will throw dumps (sometime java and sometime SAP dumps). You can fix the problem by manually installing the new functionality but believe me it is VERY cumbersome task and will make your system highly unstable.
What I would advise you is to look into your requirement once again and educate your end client with the problem and take appropriate action accordingly.
Do let me know if you need any further help.
    Cheers,
    AB

  • ESS with SAP ERP 2004 ECC 5.0

    Hello,
with SAP R/3 we used the Employee Self Services via an external ITS. Now we are using SAP ERP 2004 ECC 5.0 with an installed Java AddIn without Enterprise Portal.
    My Question is:
What ways are possible, so that we can use the ESS functionality?
    My Ideas are:
    1. Use the old external ITS and connect it to the new system.
    Problem: Is the connection possible?
    or
    2. Use the existing services from the internal ITS.
Problem: It seems that some are not working - is it possible to activate them?
    or
    3. Use the WebDynpro-Technology without Enterprise Portal.
    Problem: Will it work?
All information I could find, is, that none of the mentioned ways will work, but maybe someone tried to do the same and was successful.
    Thanks for ideas,
    André

    Hello Andre,
I don't have experience with using ESS web dynpro applications standalone without EP but I believe that should work just fine. We use standalone web dynpro applications for our mobile ISR/PCR approvals where we access web dynpro application directly via Blackberry. You should be able to access any web dynpro application directly without EP iView - for certain services you will need to provide the correct attributes and values via URL though.
Hope that helps you a little bit,
    Harald

  • SAP HCM in ECC 6.0

    Hello Gurus,
We are having 4.7 system where HR,Finance is running. Our Client needs the functionlity of ECC 6.0 for HCM module.Currently there are interested to implement ECC where they will be using only HR module & the finace will be there in the existing 4.7 system. Will it be possible to use SAP HCM in ECC with Finance in 4.7 system??If it works how to do that?Is it through SAP PI?

    Hi,
The best solution would have been to upgrade the 4.7 system to ECC6 and to use Finance and HCM in the same system.
R/3 4.7 will soon be obsolete... So the ECC6 upgrade will anyway be needed soon.
If you absolutely need 2 systems , yes you can connect ECC6 HCM to R/3 4.7 through ALE/idocs. It is especially needed if you will do the payroll on the HCM system.

  • Problem with ecc 6.0

    hi experts,
       I had installed ecc 6.0 ,
while installation i had selected EP, ep core and Process      Integration component also.
i want to configure the SAP XI , how can i do it
    plz help me
Edited by: kavitha l on Jan 17, 2008 5:53 AM

    Hi,
First you need to read the master guide for ERP2005 carefully,
you need ECC and NW04s component toghether on a single server,
The installation of the following product instances of product version SAP ERP 2005
requires a large amount of memory and makes substantial demands on the host
    performance of the CPU:
SAP NW - Adobe Document Service
    SAP NW - EP Core
    SAP NW - Process Integration
look at sap Note 855534 - Embedded NetWeaver Components in ERP read it carefully,
when you want to use XI/PI with ECC 6.0 ,SAP NW -Process Integration must be set up in a dedicated client
    now for configuring XI/PI
    login into
    service.sap.com -> Release & Upgrade Info -> Installation & Upgrade Guides ->SAP NetWeaver ->SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1
here you can find instalation of SAP PI as well as the basic configuration document
    regards,

  • Min.Internet bandwidth for SAP clients with Windows Terminal Services (RDP)

    Dear all,
what is a minimum/recommended Internet bandwidth for client who are using SAP client with RDP (SAP client is connecting directly via RDP session to remote SAP server).
    regards

Edited by: Grzegorz Niecka on Aug 4, 2011 10:36 AM

    Hi GN.......
It is recommended to have 1 Mbps speed of Internet in order to connect SAP Client from its destination to server if you are using Terminal server or VPN.......
If you still not getting proper connectivity you may increase it to 2 Mbps........

  • RoboHelp V6 - Using Context Sensitivity with SAP R/3 ECC 6.0

We are creating online help/procedures using RoboHelp,
Version 6. We are also upgrading from SAP R/3 4.6c to SAP R/3 ECC
6.0. ECC 6.0 has different backend coding than 4.6c that does not
allow us, at the moment, to implement context sensitivity. My
question is this: Can RoboHelp V6 be integrated with SAP R/3 ECC
6.0 that will allow for context sensitivity? Does coding exist for
this to happen? What must take place for this to work properly? Any
    assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum.
I can't help you on the coding side but is using a URL an
option? If it is, then see my site where I explain how to call
webhelp using URLs. That includes how to open the help pointing to
a specific topic, thus giving you context sensitive help.

  • Is it possible to use variant configuration (with a Non-SAP solution) when creating ERP sales orders in SAP CRM WebUI

    Hello,
our customer plans to use a Non-SAP solution for variant configuration (Camos) in SAP ERP (ECC 6.0) and in SAP CRM 7.0 EHP1 as well.
ERP sales orders (and ERP quotations) should be created in SAP CRM (CRM WebUI).
Is it possible to use variant configuration (with an external variant configuration tool) when creating ERP sales orders and quotations in the SAP CRM WebUI or do we have to implement SAP IPC for this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    AEV

    Dear AEV,
I think LORD (lean orders) should work with variant configuration as well. In the note 1236015 there is not restriction listed. However you need lord2 activated in ECC, and ECC system should be on EHP4.
    Best regards
