E-mail listed in 2 folders

My incoming emails are not only in my email folder but also in my "messages" folder, which I thought was only for phone related stuff. How can I have stop emails for being recorded in two folders?
Thanks !

Messages icon is present by default which is suppose to receive both your phone stuff and mail, you dont have to chk it from your enail icon, message icon is like a big box for everything, you can separate them by using this workaround listed in this KB: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB14136&sliceId=SAL_Pub...
From the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, open the Messages application.
Open the menu and select Search. This will open the search creation menu.
Scroll to the Service field, open the menu, and select Change Option.
Change the value of this field to the name of one of the integrated email accounts (for example, <username>@<domain>.com).
Open the menu and select Save. This will open the save search menu.
In the Title field, type a name for the search.
Assign the search a shortcut key by scrolling to the Shortcut Key field and changing the default value of None to the key.
Open the menu and select Save.
After these steps are performed, the newly created search will run. This search will filter the message list to only display email messages received using the selected integrated email account. To return to the normal message list, which displays all email messages, press the Back button. To perform the search again, hold the Alt key and press the letter assigned to the search in step 7 above. The above steps can be repeated for each integrated email account.

  • Mail 2.1 and folders loading very slowly

    Hi there,
just had to perform installs on a brandnew MacBook. We downloaded all updates, including 10.4.7 and then tried to setup Mail. Everything was working fine until we created folders in Mail that are stored locally. They appear just fine until Mail is restarted. Then they need up to 30 seconds to appear in mail even with no messages in them.
Deleting the Envelope.index-file works just for one restart and then again, folders need a very long period of time to load up.
Disk utility's repair permissions doesn't find anything to repair, even before and after recreating the Envelope.index.
I no longer know, where the error might be.
Already trashed the entire Mail-folder and the mail.plist and to set up mail again - this procedure didn't help me out, either.
As to note again. I just installed the system, today. And Mail setup was the first thing after all installs and updates.
We updated on a system, where nothing had been done except installing the entire MacOS by using the Install Discs that came with the MacBook.
Does anybody know, how we can tell Mail to display the folders properly on startup?
    Regards,
    Enrico

What makes you think Mail is syncing with .Mac? Could it be that it's looking for certificates instead? Open Keychain Access > Preferences, and disable Search .Mac For Certificates if it's enabled. Take a look at the following articles for an explanation of why this could be a problem:
    http://www.hawkwings.net/2006/07/18/apple-mail-phones-home-too/
    http://www.macgeekery.com/tips/mailapp_doesnt_phone_homeeither/
Also, go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network > Show: Network Port Configurations. Make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet is at the top of the list, and disable any communications/networking configuration enabled, but not in use.

  • In Thunderbird 31, the Nested Mail Lists are gone !

I've changed from Netscape to Thunderbird 2 or 3 years ago. And the 2GB problem in folders size disappeared. And Thunderbird(2010-2011) worked perfectly using the same data profile as Netscape. I'm an openSUSE user, on a x86_64 workstation.
My address book uses for 10 years now **Nested Mailing Lists**.
In such a Lists I have 2 or 3 "SubLists", plus individual emails, etc.
after the last update to "Thunderbird 31" the address book **refuses all my nested lists**, saying, for example :
SubList <SubList> is not a valid e-mail address because it is not of the form user@host. You must correct it before sending the e-mail.
then I tested on a different nested list ans it's clear : NOW THUNDERBIRD REFUSES ANY SUBLIST IN A LIST
    IT WORKED PERFECTLY TILL NOW

    Always?
Fill in one address, press return. Does a To: button not appear in the next line down.
    </blockquote>
Yes, the To: button does appear in the next line down, but that is not my question. Let me clarify.
On each addressee line, there is the identifier, To:, then there is a space to fill in the addressee's e-mail name and address. Between these two elements, in the previous version of Thunderbird, there was a small round symbol (I don't know what it would be called). Clicking on that symbol would select the entire addressee. That symbol is gone in the new version.

  • Why mozilla thunderbird keeps finding faults with my mailing lists

Why suddenly Thunderbird decided to find all kinds of problems with all of my Mailing Lists ? They were ALL working fine; and I have not gone in to change any of these Mailing Lists. How can I make it work properly - like before ???

Script errors are sometimes caused by anti-virus programs keeping the system "busy" by scanning mail folders. Do you have a product such as McAfee operating on the mail folders?

  • Mailing List Replies Come from Wrong Account

    Using Mail 2.0.5 under OS X 10.4.3.
I have two mail accounts, let's call them "X" (my main account) and "Y" (an account I use for mailing lists only). I have a Rule that filters all mail to the Y account to one of several mail folders on my mac. This keeps all my mailing list email organized.
Under OS X 10.3, this worked fine. I could read one of these emails, click Reply, and Mail would properly set the sending account to Y.
Under 10.4, Mail insists on setting the account to X. This causes my list mail reply to bounce, and is annoying the heck out of me!
I've tried various combinations of "Send new messages from: ..." but none seem to work. I can't set it to "Y" because I want all new messages to be sent from my main account "X".
    Help!

    This should not occur.
As an experiment, I have some old saved received messages in a user created mailbox that were addressed to an old email account/address that was cancelled. When selecting Reply for any of these messages, my default Send New Mail from account is chosen as the sending email account/address.
When doing the same for any messages located in a user created mailbox that were addressed to an existing valid email account/address that is not my default Sent New Mail from account selection, the account/email address the message was addressed to is the account chosen as the sending email account/address.
I believe there is some minor corruption to your Mail.app preference file. Let me know if you need the instructions for targeting the preference file which will require re-entering all email account information.

  • *Help Needed* Adding multiple emails/mailing list in the email subscription

    Help Needed
    Hi,
Can someone help me in adding multiple email address/mailing list in the email subscription for interactive reports in Apex 4.
pls mail me at [email protected]
    Regards,
    Sunny

The doc does not mention a separator for the email addresses because we only support one email address per subscription. I have logged a task for our next release to look at expanding it and allowing multiple.

    Very odd.
Right click on email in list should open a drop down selection.
Usually a crossed line through something denotes that it is marked as deleted in an imap mail account.

See if there is a conflict with an addon.
    Restart Thunderbird in safe mode.
Help > Restart with addons disabled.
then perform the same test; right click on email in list.
Do you get the drop down, if yes, then one of your addons is causing the conflict.
You would have to disbale each in turn to locate which one is the problem.
    Maybe the addon needs updating.
    Report back on results.

I have the same problem too. When i restarted with addons disablem problem dissapeared but when i switch to normal mode and disable all off the plugins and addons the problem still remains.
    Please help.

  • How to create a group mailing list in JavaMail?

    Hello,
I've been searching through the entire API, specifically the InternetAddress class and I can't seem to find out how to create a group/mailing list. Does anyone know how to do this?
That is, I would like to be able to group a bunch of e-mail addresses together and give that group a name "my friends". Then send it off using this 'group mail address' as opposed to an array of InternetAddress[]. Then when the recipients receive the e-mail, they see "my friends" in the To: field, instead of everyone's e-mail address...
Is this possible in JavaMail? I've tried many things like creating an InternetAddress object passing in a comma-delimited list of e-mail addresses but it doesn't like it.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi:
I have the same problem. I've read JavaMail implements RFC 822 which allow mailing lists. But, how can I implement it with JavaMail?
    Best regards,

  • HT5527 I did not move my Mobileme account to iCloud. How can I get off the iCloud mailing list?

I did not move my Mobileme account to iCloud. How can I get off the iCloud mailing list?

If you migrated your MobileMe account before 1 August you should have signed into System Preferences>iCloud with it, and you would be able to see your calendars, bookmarks and emails on the iCloud website. Is this the case? Did you sign into iCloud with your @me.com address?
If you did not migrate your MobileMe account you can no longer do so.
If you did migrate, did you do so from a full MobileMe account or from a Family Pack sub-account? the latter did not get the complimentary storage (because their iDisks were only 5GB anyway).
If you had a full MobileMe account, check on your Mac - System Preferences>iCloud - and see whether that shows the upgrade. If it doesn't, you probably need to contact Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/
You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support (MobileMe Support is no longer available) and you may be asked to pay a fee: in this case you should ask them to deal with it without cost (and hope they agree).
Note that you haven't paid anything for your MobileMe storage since your first renewal date after 6 June 2011, and iCloud costs nothing unless you specifically choose to upgrade the storage. Note also the iCloud storage is not general file storage in the manner of the iDisk but is restricted to iOS device Backup, Mail, Photo Journal and Documents.

  • How can I copy a mailing list into address book without having to type them individualy

    Hi
I have a mailing list and I would like to send emails to everyone on the list in one go, I copied and pasted the list into my email, but can I have this group somewhere so that I can just call it up like an ordinary address from the address book, preferably without having to type every name individualy into the address book. I tried making a group in the address book and pasting the list in without success,if this is possible can some explain how I can acheive this
    Thankyou
    Richard

    Richard,
Unfortunately, you have to add them one at a time - wait a sec... oh, yeah, if the contact is in your contact list it will 'auto-fill' as you begin to type. So if I want Wendy Whatshername, all I have to do is type Wen and the contacts will show up for you to select and auto-fill the name and email address.
    Hope this helps,
    Clinton

  • I have created a Mail List (25 adds) and it works fine, when I open Thunderbird later the list is gone and I have to create a new one. How do I save lists?

I have been trying to work out how to use email address lists in the past few months.
I recently managed to import all my contacts from Windows Mail on the old PC. They are now in "Address Book", there were a few in "Personal Address Book" but most were in collected Addresses.
When I went into collected addresses and clicked New List it allowed me to create a list of the 25 or so emails required. Then I could send out the email.
The next day I opened Thunderbird to send another email to the same list and it had disappeared.
I have since surmised that you cannot save a list created from Collected addresses in your Personal Address book unless the addresses in the list are in your Personal Address Book.
I will try again now I have completed the import and see if that helps.
Any other ideas would be most welcome.

You really should keep your contacts in your Personal Address Book.
You can drag and drop contacts between address books.
When sending a message, and the recipient isn't in your address book yet, Thunderbird automatically adds the recipients email address to Collected Addresses. You can turn that off though.
