E-Recruiting Character to constrict Query on Company

Hi @ll,
I am using SAP BW 3.5.....
Does everyone knows which character I can use to constrict my queries in HR E-Recruiting on a specific company?
I cant find something like "company code" or something like this....
We have three companies where using E-Recruiting but everyone are just allowed to see their own key figures....
I would appreciate every answer!
Thx in advance!

Hallo Marian,

  • Auth Error in BW while executing a query with Company hierarchy

    Hi All,
I have an issue in BW Reporting auth objects.. Hope to get resolved here.
We are using BI 7.0. However We  are still using the Reporting auth objects for fiield level security. We are having a problem while executing a query with company code hierarchy ,which is built on a multiprovider.
    The Background is as below
    Multiprovider: ZM_CD01 with 5 infocubes
Query: Has 0COMP_CODE as free characteristics with display hierarchy for Japan (Node APSC_012 is fixed value)
Node APSC_012 has 4070,4076,407A,408A,9830 company code values under it.
    Reporting Auth Objects:
    Z0COMPCODE: (for flat values)
    4070,4076,407A,408A,407M,407P,8236, :
    ZHCOMPCODE: (For tree structure)
    4070,4076,407A,408A,407M,407P,8080, :
    APSC_MGMT_HIER (Nodes: APSC_012,APSC019)
Both the reporting authorization objects are checked for multi provider ZM_CD01 in RSSM
While executing the query the following Auth error is received.
You do not have authorization to read object  "Z0COMPCODE" authorization on '0COMP_CODE'
When I change the values for Z0COMPCODE to * it works fine. No Auth error.
Please help me resolve this issue. It is very critical now as the user needs to execute some important reports.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi Chandra,
    Try the following:
    1. Go to tcode RSSM
    2. Enter the cube ZM_CD01 (all the other cubes) then click change.
    3. Afterwards, u201Cunchecku201D ALL Authorization Objects under this cube. (Repeate the same for all the cubes)
    4. Click Save.
    This will resolve the issue.

  • SharePoint key word query, how does the "Query Text" query special character in a query variable?

I have a no code sandbox solution, in a content by search web part, I want to return pages from the library except the page I am visiting.
    I have 2 pages:
Page A, the title is: Page title without special character
Page B, the title is: Page title with special character "a b c d ..."
And then I use Title<>{Page.Title} in the query text of the CSWP.
While I visit Page A, the CSWP returns Page B, it works as expected.
But while I visit Page B, the CSWP returns nothing, expected result should be Page A. I just consider, whether the special characters in the Title of Page B breaks the query text.
I can not find similar topics in the forum, Does anyone have idea?
    Many thanks!

Thank you for your feedback, Daniel.
I have some updates, and found the root cause: if the field value contains special characters, the CSWP will not render the double quotation marks around the field value.
View the page html source, and then find the text "QueryModification", you will see what happen:
    Query Text Input: Title<>{Page.Title}
    1. While the page title is "Test Page 1" (without special character), the rendered query text is
Title<>\"Test Page 1\". It works as expected.
    2. While the page title is "Test-Page-1" (with special character "-", of cause we have more special characters on production), the rendered query text is
Title<>Test-Page-1.  The double quotation marks are not rendered by the CSWP, so the query text are broken. It does not work as expected.
If I make the query text as Title<>"{Page.Title}"
    1. While the page title is "Test Page 1", the rendered query text is
Title<>\"\"Test Page 1\"\". It does NOT work since the
quotes are duplicated (no sure why CSWP duplicates the quota mark),
    2. While the page title is "Test-Page-1", the rendered query text is
Title<>\"Test-Page-1\".  Quotes are correct, but it does NOT work as expected still.
The expected rendered query text (view from the html source) should be
    Title<>\"Test\\\-Page\\\-1\". (Here is test url: <a href="http://server/_api/search/query?querytext='Title<>"Test%5c%5c%5c-Page%5c%5c%5c-1"'&rowlimit=10">http://server/_api/search/query?querytext='Title<>"Test%5c%5c%5c-Page%5c%5c%5c-1"'&rowlimit=10)
From the above information, I can say the CSWP not handle the special character correctly ("\" is not inserted before any special charactor).
Is there any setting in CSWP can be used to resolve above problem?

  • Im getting the character '*' in my Query

    Hi:
I made a Query of Net value shipment for a company per month.  When I execute the Query I get the character ''. I Check my Infocube and it has the indormation wright. When I see the query at year/week it result that two weeks has numbers but other two has again ''.
    Any idea why is that.
    Points for helpfull answers.

    Hi,
This happens because key figure, e.g. Net Value in those two weeks consists of multiple currencies, perhaps $USD and Euro.
What you can do now is to use Currency Translation in the key figure's property and choose a proper Currency Conversion Key for the key figure. This will translate foreign currencies into desired local currency.
    Best wishes,

  • Problem about printing special character in bex query analyzer

    Hi,
in bex query analyzer i have created one restricted key figure , in which i have substracted two date with the help of replacement path.
    So i got result.
But i am facing one problem. when in both date, if one date is null or # then it is giving some big value like -734567.
But i want some special character like X instead of this big values.
So how can i do this?
With the help of if and else it can be done.
But how can we print special character in report.
    Please help me
    Thank you in advance

    hi,
You cannot show X in a formula result. You can highlight the row using exception.
Still if you want to show X in the result then you need to create a formula variable on a char which returns X value all the times.
Then you can use the three formula variable to write a formula so that it shows the difference:
    date1 -- formula variable
    date2 -- formula variable
    charx -- formula variable.
    the formula will be
    Count(date1)Count(date2)(date1 - date2) + charx *(count (delta(date1) + delta(date2))).
this would return the X value if any of the dates are empty otherwise their difference.
    regards.
    Arvind.

  • Virtual Character in Bex Query / Filter by Attribute

    Hi ,
We have a query where we need to resrict the query result by a character at run time. I think this is done by using virtuual characters with user exit RSR00002...Here is our requirement. We have the PCA query with Cost element heirarchy (Revenues & Expenses as nodes and several other sub nodes available) as the report out put and when we drill down by cost center user wants to see the result of blank cost centers only for Revnues but not for Expenses.
If this scenerio is not possible by virtual characters, I have a display attribute in Cost element where Revenues always have type 11 and Expenses have 1. So I need to exclude the cost center blanks for cost element type 1....But I'm not sure how to achieve this. Can any one advice if this is better to do in Info cube level / Bex query level...
    Thanks

  • E-recruiting - reporting from SAP Query

    Hi all,
We are using SAP Query to run reports for e-recruiting and have created our own infosets copied from the SAP standard delivered ones.
We are also using the EEO entries based on the configuration tables in the IMG and making these available when creating questions in questionnaires for EEO data. This is all successful and the questionnaires can be completed. However, when trying to report on this data by testing it in SQ01, none of the ethnicity data appears on the output.
Does anyone know if there are any jobs that need to be run to extract the information from questionnaire responses to be reportable through the SAP Query tool?
    Thanks in advance.
    Jim

    Hi Jim,
I need a favour from you, Pls give me some sample SAP query reports that are generated for E-recruiting so as to get familiar with using SP Query for E-recruiting as one of my clients need the same.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kuamr.

  • E-Recruiting EhP4 -- Dashboard / POWL Query

How you customize query in the recruiter dashboard. I register infoset as POWL query no, then I no see it in the dasboard?

    Hello,
I assume what you mean is that you have included the query through report WDK_GENERATE_POWL_CUST or through IMG 'Display Own Queries in POWL'. The next node 'Include Queries in LaunchPad' is what you need to do to include the report in the dashboard. When you click the node, you ha ve to click on change in the column RECRUITER - REPORTS - Recruiter LaunchPad.  You can then create your own folder or include the report in the standard folder. To include your report you click on 'New Application' while highlighting the required folder. In application category you have to select Webdynpro ABAP. You can then enter the other parameters as per your generated report name. You can click on standard 'Activities with Requisition and Candidate' to see how the parameters are supposed to be entered, especially in the Parameter field. Once you save here and then go to the portal, the report should be appearing.
    Hope this helps.

    21-1774692-B0304
    How to Acheive this....?

I have got little bit different table but result should be the same:
          COL1 COL2       COL3
             1 S1         13/01/2006
             1 S2         13/01/2006
             1 S1         14/01/2006
             2 S1         13/01/2006
             2 S2         13/01/2006
             2 S1         14/01/2006
6 rows selected.I would like to add to col1 letters.
    I wrote this query:
1  SELECT B1.COL1, B2.COL1, CASE WHEN RN > COUNT THEN
      2                             CHR(64 + (RN - COUNT)) || B1.COL1 ELSE CHR(64 +
RN) || B1.COL1 END AS RESULT, COUNT
3  FROM (SELECT COL1, ROWNUM AS RN
      4     FROM TABLEB) B1,
      5       (SELECT COL1, COUNT(1) AS COUNT
      6     FROM TABLEB
      7     GROUP BY COL1) B2
      8* WHERE B1.COL1=B2.COL1;And the effect:
          COL1       COL1 RESULT                                            COUNT
             1          1 A1                                                    3
             1          1 B1                                                    3
             1          1 C1                                                    3
             2          2 A2                                                    3
             2          2 B2                                                    3
             2          2 C2                                                    3
6 rows selected. As you can see RESULT column has values from COL1 and letter in front of it starting from A to ROW COUNT.
    Hope this help

  • Ecsape character in MDX query

    Hi,
I have a UDA defined for one of the dimension which contains a single quote in the value. UDA is "Account Type: Owner's equity". Can some one help me what is the escape character for single quote ?
Using a single quote as escape character is not working. (i.e Owner''s Equity)
    MDX quer:
    IIF (IsUDA([Account].CurrentMember, "Account Type: Owner'' Equity"), [Scenario].Actual * -1 , [Scenario].Actual)
    Thanks,
    Anil.

    Hi John,
I am using IsUDA in WITH Member clause as below
    With Member [Scenario].[FinalBalance] AS 'IIF (IsUDA([Account].CurrentMember, "Account Type: Owner''sEquity") , [Scenario].Actual * -1, [Scenario].Actual )'
    Select {([109-3100].Children)} on 0,
    {[Scenario].[FinalBalance]} on 1
    from VF_US10000001640601154604App.db
    where ([Amount Type].[PTD],[Currency Type].[Total],[Ledger].[All Ledgers].[Vision Foods - USA Ledger],[Balance Amount].[Period Activity],[Currency].[USD])
As I need to enclose the With Member clause with single quotes ('IIF...'), it is causing a conflict with single quote in UDA Value.
    Thanks,
    Anil.

  • Neeed User Exit in Query Help

    Hi Guys
We have to find the nr of days between the current date (which is report run date) the posting date of the document. We have to posting date character in the query, but we do not have the Current date in the query. So in order to find out the differece between these two dates do we need to use user exit variable ?
Also, We have some RKF & CKFs in our query. These are Numbers and Amount colums.... We have to find the aggregated values for the amount for the all the currencies.
Ex : Now we are getting the amount for US05 comany code in USD and GB05 company code in GBP. So if we want to get the amount GBP in USD, where should I write the Conversion Exit.
Please advice me ASAP also let me know if you need further details
    regards

    Hi,
As i understand, you need to write a virtual key figure to store the number of days from posting date and current date. You can't do it by RKF / CKF as the posting date of individual data record would be different. Hence you need to use the virtual key figure exit.
For translation from GBP to USD you can use the translation keys and use those translation keys in the key figure properties.
For creating translation keys use transaction RRC1 (BW 3.x) and RSCUR (BW 7.0).
    Hope it helps.
