E-Recruiting-  Qualification catalogue

Hi
If I maintain a Qualification catalogue in e-Rec system the number range of the catalogue will be different from the Payroll/hr system. When I transfer (hire) the external candidate data (along with qualifications) to the Payroll system will the payroll system show any errors due to inconsistency in number range.

Hello Pascale,
in general there is only 1 qualification catalogue within a sap system - perhaps I did not make this really clear (we exclude the fact that the PA module knows a new and an old form of qualification maintanence - other topic :o)).
As you found out by yourself the trouble are the different systems. In an integrated system there is an option that you integrate PA and e-recruiting qualifications. If you activate this option, the system moves the qualifications of the employee to his internal candidate and the qualification of a candidate can be moved to the employee record on hiring (at least the system should do this, I've never seen this running in production, only had to do with it in a rampup project for e-recruiting 600 but never in an live system). By using the "e-recriuiting view on qualification catalogue" you can restrict the qualifications which are available for e-recruiting and exclude the qualifications which are only internally used as they are not relevant for hiring. Furthermore you can handle the restriction that e-recruiting can only handle non stacked qualification groups.
When it comes to a standalone installation the world looks a bit different. You have still one "application" for qualification catalogue but you have 2 completely independent systems. So you have 2 independent catalogues as number assignment is internal as you already said.
There is no standard function or scenario to integrate the hr core and the e-recruiting system for qualifications. The described distribution scenarios for ALE only cover objects O, C, S and P and there is no function in the data transfer from e-recruiting to the hr core on hiring which would transfer the qualifications of a candidate to his employee record.
As the standard does not offer an integration, for the standard implementation you just take your hr core qualification catalogue and create the qualifications you need for hiring in e-recruiting. Adapt perhaps a bit to special hiring needs. When you hire a person you run the hiring action via t-code PA48 and when you come to qualification maintenance you just have a look into the e-recruiting system and create the according qualifications. As you do it manually it does not matter if the qualification has another ID.
If you really need an integration and automation for the qualification transfer you will have to develop a customer solution. You could surely start with implementiing an own distribution scenario for your qualification catalogue from hr core to e-recruiting. This can be done via ALE or as the catalogue is not changing every day it should be possible to transport / copy it.
When you have the qualifications in e-recruiting you can define the e-recruiting view to the catalog to restrict qualifications.
Last but not least you would have to enhance the data trasfere to hr core on hiring. Spontaneously I am not sure how to solve this but it is probably possible.

  • E-recruiting qualification catalog

    Hi all,
can we create a qualification catalog individually in E-recruiting , i.e. in addition to the PD qualifcation catalog.
if so, how to do it!
    Regards,
    Bharat

    Hi Bharat!
In the IMG for e-recruiting you can limit which qualification group(s) you want to make available to e-recruiting.
So it is not a spearate catalog, it is part of the one PD catalog, but you can reduce the qualifications being available to e-recruiting.
    Thanks and best regards,

  • Qualification catalogue - End dating

    Hi Folks,
Can someone plese advise, how do we end date an existing Qualification catalog or Qualifications.
I have tried from PP01 and PP02, but get an error message saying , Infotype 1000,1001 cannot be maintined via basic transactions.
Your help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sanjay

    Hi Sanjay,
    Goto OOQA transaction.
Enter the "end date" into the "key date" field.
    Then go and delete qualification.
The system will delimit that qualification as of the date specified.
If you wanna delimit a qualification, group, you first need to delimit all the qualifications attached to that group and then delimit the group.
    Good luck,

  • Defaulting the qualification in E-Recruiting manager requisition ehp6

    Dear Experts!
We are on EHP6 with standalone scenario.
We would like to default the qualification/requirements in Requisition form for manager when he selects the position/job.
Please suggest the pre-requisites and activities to be completed to default the same.
I'm aware about the following requirements-->
1.RECFA HRQUA to be set to X in T77SO
2.Org Unit data is( C/S objects and relationship between them) is transferred via ALE.
    3. I would also like to default the qualification for internal employees.
    Queries-->
1.Do I have to transfer qualification catalogue from ECC to EREC using ALE for defaulting the requirements in requisition form?
If yes what should be filter model for qualifications( which infotypes objects/ types/subtypes/ relationships are required to be transferred for this requirement.
2.Do I need to transfer the qualification catalogue for defaulting the qualification for persons? If yes what filters should be added to ALE for this.
    Appreciate you quick help!
    Thanks,
    Poonam

    Hi Poonam,
    Please have a look at:

Qualifications are stored in HR in infotype 1001 (032) for the person object type. So you need to add that in your distributional model to get all qualifications for employees also on E-Recruiting side.

  • E-Recruitment u2013 Qualifications Catalog not displayed as a hierarchy view

    Hi Expert ,
I have an issue where I need your support,
We are implementing E-recruitment EH4, E-recruitment is running on a separate instance,
ALE for moving Qualification groups & Qualifications has been done,
And I can use our qualifications with candidates or requisitions,
My issue here is Qualification group (QK) not displayed on a hierarchy view as displayed on R3,
    T. Code OOQA as instance,
My case for example, we have only 5 main qualification groups and we have huge number of sub groups, so It comes on E-recruitment view as tap pages , Is there any way to view Qualification groups On a hierarchy view ,
    Wait for your valid input,
    Thanks,

    Hi,
there is not really the possibility to have two different cataloges for internal and external candiates.
In most of the projects I did the customer decided on a standalone scenario for e-recruiting and created an e-recruiting qualification catalog which was much smaller than the one of the personal development on the hr core server. It was used more for a general orientation on a hand full of key language and IT skills. We usually had 2 or 3 QK with perhaps 20 or 30 qualification. Overall the customers tended to not to overrate the technical features of profile comparison between requisition and candidate. They just took the general information and had a look on it in the personal interview with the candidate - the candidates self evaluation is often not very exact ;o).
A possibility which might be interesting for you are the options for the T77S0 switch RECFA HRQUA. Have a look at the description for the IMG node unter E-Recruiting -> Technical Settings -> Set System Parameters. There is one setting that allows to use the full qualification catalog for internal candidates and only the QKs assigned to "SAP_ERECRUITING" for the externals.
    Kind Regards

  • Qualification Catalog transfer from HR to E-Recruiting

    Hi Gurus,
We have a standalone E-Recruiting system. The qualifications catalog is maintained in HR. How do I transfer the catalog from HR to E-Recruiting? ALE? If ALE I assume a batch job needs to run periodically to keep the catalogs in sync.
    Thanks,
    Garth

    Hi Garth,
if you really like to transfer qualifications, ALE is an option. But ensure you do not forget to transfer the information connected to a qualification catalog. For example you will have to transfer the scales you used. This can be done using transports but keep in mind someone might have created a scale ín e-recruiting e.g. for candidate ranking so check that there is no id collission.
If you want to use your hr qualification catalog you also have to be aware of the restrictions of the qualification catalog used in e-recruiting. E-recruiting qualification catalogs must have exactly 2 levels QKs having Q objects. More structured qualification catalogs ften found in HR coe with QKs including other QKs are not supported. To work around here you could use the "restricting view on qual catalog" function found in e-recruiting customizing. This is also helpful if you have included internal qualifications you want to hide from the application wizard.

  • Connecting SAP E-Recruiting with SAP ERP HCM via PI 7.10

    Hello guys,
i am currently working on connecting a SAP E-Recruiting and a SAP EPR 6.0 (HCM) via a SAP Netweaver PI 7.10 SP6 (Its a Proxy-to-Proxy Connection). For this i have created a more or less detailed How-to Wiki page. As i am not a PI/XI Expert at all - but i am always eager to learn I have some difficulties and i have hoped that you may help me out so i can complete the guide and so help others who also have some difficulties in setting up the scenario.
For what i have already done, please check out the Wiki page i have created.
One question i do have is, where can i monitore the send process.
I mean i am executing the proxy-call in the sender system (E-Recruiting) but nothing happens (no error message)
Also please take a look the RFC Destinations i have created for the Communication Channel. Not sure in which system i have to create those Destiantions and where they should point to.
Here is the Wiki (still working on layout issues)

    best regards,
    Markus

    Hi Li,
I am the Product Manager for SAP E-Recruiting. I'll try and give some direction.
SAP E-Recruiting uses no functionality from the existing SAP recruitment module, and has a new data model. For HR releases before ERP2004, SAP E-Recruiting can only be deployed on a separate instance to HR, and integrated using a combination of ALE (qualification catalogue, employees, organizational units, jobs, and positions) and RFC calls (for moving candidate to be hired into HR).
If you have ERP2004, then you can have E-Recruiting on the same instance as HR. There are advantages and disadvantages to this including, security, sizing, etc. We can discuss this if you consider this an option.
If you have E-Recruiting on a separate instance to ERP2004, then you can also display or use organizational data using supplied data extractors. These are great for easily pulling HR data. In the standard they are only used to display information based on the job/position (example: current position holder) but they could also be used in custom workflows, job postings, etc.
With ERP2005, employee qualifications will also be available in E-Recruiting, as well as the possibility of defaulting qualifications on the requisition, based upon the job or position.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to ask more questions.
    Best wishes, Mark

  • E-Recruiting - How to replace a standard BSP app by a custom

    Hi sap gurus,
In the candidate' profile, we would like to exclude some qualification objects shown in the competencies tabs.
We have copied the bsp application HRRCF_PROFILE to zHRRCF_PROFILE, and made the changes there, but now I wonder how to replace the standard profile application by mine ? Is there any configuration, to change the candidate profile's link ? Or do I have to make a repair somewhere to change it ?
Thank you for all your help
    Regards
    Hadrien

    Hi,
if you really want to exclude certain qualifications of HR core so they are not available in e-recruiting profile maintanence (and requisition maintanence) there is a customizing in IMG to define a view on the qualification catalogue. There you can specify which QK and Q objects shall be available in e-recruiting. In this case no development would be necessary.
If you just want to hide some fields / attributes this should be able to do this by customizing the screens. Depending if you use WebDynpro or BSP this is done via WebDynpro configuration or via IMG for bsp. Again no development
If there is really a need for developing a new tab for the profile, copy the application, throw out everything except the minimum stuff for a qualification tab and build it the way you like. Define a new container sequence item, define a context and set up the container sequence for the profile using your customer container sequence item instead of the standard one.
You never change the SAP entries of T77RCF_LOG_APPL you would only add customer own applications if you add customer applications to startpages. Defining own screen modification posibilities is usually not necessary. If you do not need the field in your customer screen just delete it, why customize sth you develop anyway?

  • Automatic Post processing of Qualifications

    Gurus,
I have to implement the IDP ( individual development plan ) and we plan to have one appraisal document for both objective setting and development plan. What we need to do is include the development plan and once the employee fullfill /aquire the development item, this has to go back and update the qualification catalogue of the employee.
    Any thoughts ?
    J

    Hi,
Yes it is possible, in the appraisal template under the processing tab, you will find a section for follow-up processing. Here you have standard badi's to update qualifications. If the standard ones don't suit your requirement then you can create a bespoke enhancement for badi HRHAP00_FOLLOW_UP or HRHAP00_FOLLOW_UP_D depending on whether you want it to be processed in the background or not.

    Priya.

  • Unable to find a qualifications catalog for the root object specified-ESS

    Hi SDN,
We are getting following exception Unable to find a qualifications catalog for the root object specified   when click on Add New Skill in Skills Profile, ESS . It is working fine , if user is assigned sap_all role. This is issue with permissions. Which role need to be assigned to work with Skills Profile in r3. Please help me out.

Have a look in table T77S0 for an entry called QUALI ESSST and make sure the object ID stored there matches the appropriate node in your qualifications catalogue.
This setting is designed to be used for restricting ESS users to a particular part of the Quals Catalogue.
If the table entry was configured in your development system, it may not match the obect numbers in your production system.

  • Auths issue or configuration: Adding qualifications in portal.

    Dear all,
I am wondering whether someone can advice to me whether this issue which I am having is a Security and Authorisation or is it a functional or portal issue/conern.
    scenario is as follows
In transaction OOQA (catalog qualifications) I can see in R/3 a list of catalogs of qualifications, under each number is set out ike the following
    QK1 6272727272  All qualifications
    QK2 6272727272 GENERAL
When I log into the front end portal, I can see perfectly how I would expect QK1 All qualifications showing what I must see, and I can here add the qualifactions and save them.
The issue here is  there is a search facility on the portal, and when I click on it I can search for additional qualification catalogues which is FINE, but it than allows me to click on ADD and to ADD the qualifaction, ( WHICH IS NOT WHAT I WANT) this is wrong.
I am confused I have access to see and add 9 qualifiactions on the skill page, but I can add alot more if I go throught the search facility.
I was looking for whether there is a way via AUTHORISATION to restrict the adding of the remaining qualifiactions, i.e be able to search them, but not be able to add these when searching.
Can i use PLOG, or P_ORGIN or PERNR authorisation objects to control this?
    thanks all

    HI
Can somebody tell me " What is the limit in the number of Qualifications to be created in a Qualifications Catalog? "
    Ravee

there is no limit i guess. may be 99999999
You can create any number of qualification under qualification catalogue. but my suggesion is to create many catalogues under a catalogue for good understanding and classification

There are qualification like License/Visa need begin and end date in which Employee shoule be able to give/input validity date. I would expect that ESS service for Skill update should have it. I am not the one who is facing this requirement first time. I would like to know if there is any way to enhance ESS service for Skill update to enable begin and end date.
The function module 'RHPP_Q_PROFILE_WRITE' has table structure HRPE_RELAQ. It has 2 sets of valid dates. any info on this? Is ESS service for Skill update calls this FM?
