After A Full Anlysis Of Nokia 5700 Xpress Music I want To Inform Nokia Those Changes Which Need To Be MAde In Nokia 5700 New Firmware.
Here They Are:
* Music Player SHould HAve Exit Button [It takes 2mb Ram When Run In Background].
* There Must An Application To Run Phone In Landscape Mode.
* Loudness Of Music Must Be Enhanced.
* Music Player Should Be Paused While There Is NAy Incomming Call.
* Camera Quality Should Be More Better.
* Camera Zoom Should Be 10X or More.
* More Visulaization Should BE Added.
* When Create ANy New Folder In Images Folder Through Gallery and Move All Images To Newly Create Folder Then Only One Image Moved To That Folder. This Bug Should Be Fixed.
* Radio Sound Must Be More Louder.
* There Must Be Option To Remove Themes Via Application Manager.
* Warning Tones Must Be Fast. Warning Tones Heard After 2 sec Of The Notification.
* Loudness Option Should Work As It Is Not Working In The Current Firmware.
* The Phone Restart Automatically, This Bug Should Be Fixed.
* There Must Be 25-30 mb free Ram Available as In The Current Version Only 18 mb Free Ram Is Available.

Nokia 6680 new firmware?

Hi guys,
Did Nokia realese new firmware for Nokia 6680?:

I was just checking for the new firmware for Nokia 6680,
via Nokia Software Updater. And I was surprise to find there are
new updates. Then I upgrade my 6680 from v5.04.07 to v5.04.40.
After upgrade, I notice that there are some difficulties in making & receiving calls, and sending SMS. I'm staying in Malaysia and using Celcom 3G. I refer the provider on this matter, and they said their network is ok.
Could it be the upgrades?
What are the changelog for v5.04.40

Yeah, that's what I thought. An upgrade is suppose to improve the use. Unless, the new firmware has a tiny bug, or it's an unofficial release. I looked up in the Internet, so far, no info about the new firmware.
Can Nokia release an unofficial firmware?

Nokia N96 New Firmware Version 30.033 and Camera F...

I updated my Nokia N96 to the new firmware version 30.033 after which my phone camera is not working. When I press on the camera button it gives the message (Camera Feature not Supported). I played many tricks with it but of no use. I reset my phone to the original factory setting through (*#7370#) and Multi-finger process but of no help. I even reinstalled the updated version but the problem still persists. My camera worked fine before the update but now it gives the said message and the phone hanges up on pressing the camera button. I request nokia developers to help fix this problem and check their updates for buge before uploading them to the server to save users from problems & worries. If you found any solution for the problem then please let me know it on my E-Mail ID: I will be grateful for your response.

you should not have had to pay a nokia care point for what ammounts to a warenty repair,
The camera issue with the N96 upgrade is an uncommon but known bug,
If a hard reset, or a firmware reinstall doesn't fix it then take the phone to a nokia care point and have them fix it for free under the warenty

Nokia 2630 - New Firmware

Hello everyone,
I wonder if you will be released shortly a new version of firmware for the Nokia 2630.
My Nokia has the latest firmware V 07.60.
But it happens that some lose the signal and reboots itself.
The phone memory is empty.
With a new firmware release could fix this?

I have lots of problems with new firmware version 4.0707.0.7 that I haven't with past version 4.0623.0.42 !

This is the message I was trying to send through the "Feedback" page in Nokia.com, but it doesn't work! Very strange. So I'm posting it here and hoping that maybe this message will reach Nokia themselves.
Hello, I own a 6500 classic. I can say I'm really happy I got it, although it was a bit expensive for me. I enjoyed it from the minute I got it, first of all, because it's really nice looking, comfortable to use and work with. It's my first high class Nokia phone - I've had 3310, 6030, 1110i and finally the 6500c. I'm a Nokia fan :-) However, I think, I could give you some personal ideas about the performance of the phone, and what could be fixed and done better, after all, there's always room for improvement and Nokia, as a leading mobile phone manufacturer, strives for perfection.
Just to make sure, I have the RM-265 type, 42.02 variant, V 03.21.
One thing for sure, that could be included in the firmware update, I think, could be management of the display: the user should be able to change the contrast and backlighting, in order to save some battery time. The other thing, why not include a "screen off" type of screen saver? I find the current system quite ineffective: if you do set (any) screensaver on and lock the keypad or don't do anything, it, of course, turns the screensaver on, but then, after some minutes turns into the little "overview" box that slides from place to place showing Time and Date, you know, and the display automatically turns itself off after just some 15-20 mins more. Now, I really find the "Analogue clock" screensaver beautiful, but then it turns into the not-so-nice little box previously mentioned. So I now use the phone with screensaver off in order to get the box from the beginning, as a screensaver. So, in all, Menu-Settings-Display-Screensaver-Screen off (timeout to set, too) would be great.
Other problems - you have to click twice to move down on contact list after searching (ie, type R and press down twice to get to the second person one the list rather than once)
- Menus After saving a setting or discarding a setting, the phone will return to a random menu, not the related menu
- Call / Green button - Displays call log as opposed to "Dialled calls"
- This might not be a firmware/software issue, but the quiet places in MP3s (when played through the speaker) come out "scratchy" and not nice and pleasant to hear at all! Also, one can't listen to classical music on the speaker at all - too quiet and scratchy, as I said! That's the most disappointing bug. Maybe it's just my phone, but I've heard other people saying this is happening with their devices as well.

does anyone have any idea hoe to download new software for the 6500c using a windows vista pc? Oh! what about the fact that after you have missed a call,received a message that the phone initially alerts you the one time;and if you don't get it;you are alerted no more.Thats not good.I guess if you don't here the phone ring the first time,then you are just **bleep** out until you have a reason to pick up the phone and then see that you missed a call or received a message.

But for other 6120 phones last firmware version is: 5.11, 4.21 ...
When we get new firmware for 0555926 product id phones???????? This is discrimination...

If the nokia software updater doesn't allow you to update then your phone is most likely network branded or network locked. Most networks don't bother approving new updates leaving their customers stuck with old firmware.

Nokia 5300 New firmware HELP!!!

I've tried the nokia software updater on my phone (5300) and it does not find any firmware updates anyone know why, my current version is 03.50 and from reading other threads on this forum, i know there is a newer version available.

if not up to 3 weeks however if it is under warranty then free if not then they will charge upto £30.00 also you might get it returned with the same software becuase for example if your on O2 & your network O2 must accept the new firmware from Nokia then that will get added to list on the Nokia Software Updater.

Most probably its a software issue..
First of all try with a Factory Reset from the phone menu..

If no success then Re-install the latest firmware and see if that makes any difference..else try a Soft Reset by dialing *#7370# and enter 12345 which is default security code when prompted. If you have set your own code pl. enter that instead..
Warning : Soft Reset will erase data from the phone so take a Back-up before doing so.. You will require to Restore the data as well as re-install some of the applications..

HF-33W and Nokia 5800

Has anybody tried a Nokia NOKIA BT-FSE HF-33W with the Nokia 5800? Does it work or not? or is there a similar compatible carkit that is plugged into the cigarette lighter?
the compatibilty check on Nokias site does not mention the HF 33W for the 5800 but there are other accessoris not listed, which are compatible - so this is not for sure.
The reason why i am asking this is that i prefer carkits plugged into the cigarette lighter, for they can easily changed from car to car and are independent from batteries. I had one from parrot but this cannot be paired with the 5800.

In which mode you have connected your device? Does it have memory card inside when you tried to connect it with Nokia Music ??? What your phone displays if you type *#0000# ??? Complete details of your pc also will help

Nokia Ovi Suite and Nokia 5800 crashing after fw u...

When I start my Nokia Ovi Suite (V. 2.2.0.245) it works as usual, I can brows around my content without any problems. As soon as I connect my Nokia 5800 XM (RM-356 V. 51.0.006) it crashes. Worked just fine before I upgraded to the latest version on the phone.

Uninstall Ovi and re-download from Nokia web. Reinstalled Ovi Suite but that didn't work.
I then uninstalled all Ovi and all Nokia related software, cleaned Registry and reinstall Ovi Suite: Failed to fix.
Then I installed Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.1 which worked just fine with 5800 XM (RM-356 V. 51.0.006). I had no problems making backups or to synchronize.

I just tried Nokia Ovi Suite again to copy the full error report that it sends to Microsoft.... lo and behold it started to work again?????

Made a complete backup on my phone.
Installed Nokia Software Updater and I reinstall the latest FW 51.0.006 to my phone.
Then I organized my content for a few minutes.
Shut down Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Software Updater.
Started up Nokia Ovi Suite.
Connected my phone and clicked on PC-Suite on the options.
It now works again????
Something happened when I installed PC Suite that enabled me to use my Nokia 5800 with Ovi Suite again.
