E75 email bug??

Having huge problems with my E75 this evening. Opened a email this afternoon and ever since my phone has been flashing and generally going nuts...I can make calls with extreme difficulty but nothing else seems to work. I have turned off several times hoping this would work to to no available.
Hoping you have some other suggestions. At this stage to scared to plug into computer to check if updates could fix.....
Thanks!

Hi,
after repairof keyboard, E75/ FW 210.12.15 was installed. I've not only problems connecting to my home WIFI network for checking mail (MAC filtered and with WEP key), I also can't connect to Internet thru this WIFI network. Checked with another open WIFI network and did not succeed either.
I've indeed noticed changing some settings were not stored.
Aonther thread mentions FAT of memory card corrupted, letting E75 reboot spontanuously. Formatted my microSD card. Still rebooting unexpectedly.
I find it strange this version is not on official Nokia support site.
Hope we can find solution.

  • E75 email & Internet connectivity is driving me cr...

Usually with all the Nokia phones i owned... i can select whenever i want to hook to a 3G or 3.5G connection or just select a Wifi instead. With the E75, I dont have the luxury of selecting the connection i want which cause all the email or web browsing applications to not work properly.
Since yesterday and Im trying to make the email link to a 3G network to sync my email, but im not successful until now. I dont know what to do next?
Also for some bizzaar reason, when it used to work, i only gets email notifications from Yahoo and Gmail while my corporate email, MSN and AIM dont give me any notification when i get an email! I also dont know what to there?
Is there a software update that will fix these bugs?
    Thank you
    Regards,
    Feher

    Hi Feher,
I noticed that Nokia E75 introduce new access point selection system called 'Destination'. It allows you to group access point with priority, this is however, isn't new, you can find some SE's Symbian UIQ phones implement it already.
I think you can set-up your 3.5g and 3g manually (if it didn't pre-seted by E75) and grouped them in 'Internet' then prioritise (or make default) one of them which suite your need (3g/3.5g/Wi-fi).
FYI, when you are asked what access point to connect, you might only be able to see the 1st priority access point on the group (Internet, WAP, Intranet, etc), but actually you can select the non-default one by pressing the soft key option then 'select access point'.
This is not applied to the **bleep** Nokia e-mail, you'll have to provide your default access point in the e-mail setting since it does not have 'always ask' option.
So if there isn't already, create 3G AP manually and make sure to set them on ur e-mail settting. Also create and set your preferred AP for browsing in the Browser Settings.
As for the e-mail problem, sorry, I have no idea You're obviously not the only one who experience similiar problem.
The **bleep**-poor auto-config plus laggy interface of it also already make me sick since I use it from the first time, the old s60 e-mail client is definitely more robust.
@all Anyway I know this will sound funny (and YES it is), but if you really have to use your corporate e-mail, may be relying on 3rd party application (yes, we'll need to spend MORE money after buying this expensive phone) is not really a bad idea, at least while waiting for fix from Nokia. I'd suggest an application named Profimail from Lonelycatgames, just google it. :/
I personally do not use the Nokia e-mail for bussiness usage, so I'll just bear with it

  • E75 email update select button light flashes

    Hi,
I recently updated my email program on my E75. Everytime I receive an email my select button light starts to flash, just like when I receive a text or have missed a call.
Anyone for a sollution on this? It is really starting to annoy me!
    Thanks a lot
    Diarto

Hi, just a tip of things you can check out while you're waiting for the correct answer:
Check if the update has made a new option within your notification lights settings: Menu -> Control panel -> Settings and
General -> Personalisation -> Notification lights.
Check if email is one of the options, if it is: uncheck it.
If not, go through your email settings and see if there are any options there.

  • HTML email bug (with one company)

Constant Contact (service for many bulk emails for various individuals & companies)
their emails are coming in and only the left side of the page is viewable. it's really strange. so... just wanted to bring that bug to your attention.

Is this an HTML site your viewing in Safari? or is this using the Mail Application?
Both of which I am referring to as being on the iPhone. Might be some troubleshooting steps we can have you perform that could resolve the issue.

  • Email bugs

i am on firmware 3.1.2(7D11) and am running itunes on version 9.0.2.25
i recently started having the issue of having different languages show in the preview from the message itself in my emails. i occasionally have email sent to me in korean. sometimes, korean will show up in the email preview while the body is in chinese. when i check the same email from my computer, it is in korean. other times, the preview will show chinese when the email is written in korean.
so basically, my problem is that my email preview and the email itself are not in sync sometimes.
another issue with email i am having, this may or may not be relevant to the issue i stated earlier, but when i open my email app, except for the time, reception signal, battery at the top, the screen just goes black.
has/does anybody else had/have this issue as well?

Can you tell us what are those bugs ? Maybe someone here can help

  • E75 Email setting

My Marketing Manager bought a E75, he wishes to setup our company email in his mobile unit, I check the tutorial or guideline online which are for personal email such as yahoo.com & Gmail.com and corporate email is for Microsoft Exchange; my problem is our email server is Linux base server, could I still able to setup the email account in the mobile?

    Hi ,
I just found out how to sort your issue as i had the same problem with my E75.
    1. Write down the iman and smtp server name.
    2. Remove the mailbox and then add the yahoo mailbox again.
    3. When the setup asks for "Email address" use the following [email protected]
    4. Then follow the set up and then it should work.
    5. Ensure that you have also setup your email at the nokia messaging website as well.
    that should work.

  • E75 Emails in inbox disappear

    Hi there
I am a new user and have recently purchased an E75.  I eventually managed to set up 2 email addresses and notifications come through fine.
However........The messages just disappear from the inbox - I've tried to mark them as "unread" but they still disappear...... I've had our IT guy at work look at the settings and he can't see any obvious problems.  The inbox setting is Hide email older than 2 weeks, and is locked so I cannot alter this if I wanted too.
Also if a message has an attachment I try to download it and the message disappears and I have no idea if I have downloaded the attachment as I cannot find out in the instruction booklet where these would be automatically stored (if of course they are)
The message also disappears if I go to "view HTML".
I have also noticed that since setting up my email account on my Nokia I am not receiving any emails via Outlook on my PC.
Please can anybody help as the whole idea of sending emails to my mobile was so that I could read them before I got home from work - and look at the info in them as and when it was convenient, not loose all the details before I had a chance to deal with things.
    Many thanks

Also check your email configuration...with any message list displayed:
BBKey > Options > General Options
Make sure that the very last setting is set however you want. This will affect how long an email is kept on the BB.
You also might try deleting and re-creating the BIS conduit for this email account...it sounds like something is just not right and sometimes this process helps clear it up.
    Hopefully something there will help.

  • Calendar Meeting Request Accepted Email bug

I have come across a possible bug with the BlackBerry Calendar feature. When I invited an attendee who has a BlackBerry Curve 8520 to a meeting with a reminder time of '0 min' with my BlackBerry Bold 9780 whilst holding both phones in my hand and accepting the meeting request on the Curve, the email that was sent back to my Bold indicated a reminder time of 'None'.
When I checked the reminder time on the Curve after this, it was set to '0 min.
Is this how meeting request approvals are supposed to be sent, indicating a reminder time of 'None' when the reminder time is set as '0 min'?

Calendar management in Nokia E7 is a pathetic.. You can't select the receipent when creating an invite and you can't see the meeting attendee list of an existing calendar entry in your phone..
Overall, I liked the phone, but this particular function has spoiled my impression about it.

  • E75 email setup problems with 210.12.15

Corporate email and gmail have worked fine for a year, but after 210.12.15 upgrade started first to have synch problems. After shutting of the E75 it now loses email setup information and just keeps asking passwords. I have tried resetting to factory defaults and restoring phone data, but still not able to sync email. Trying to setup email from scratch also gives error message in the beginning and is not able to connect to the server. 210.12.15 included changes to the email software, so it is the obvious candidate, but I haven't seen any other people with the same problem?

  • IMAP email bug - help required to resolve

    Hi...
I am trying to set up IMAP on my new HP Touchpad.  The problem is, my touchpad won't download any emails.
After creating an account, the touchpad is able to recognise the folder structure of my email account, and I can send messages. However, my inbox and all other folders appear empty. These folders are definitely populated with thousands of emails, and I have no problem accessing them with IMAP on my Ipod Touch or through my computer.  The touchpad must be successfully linked in to both the IMAP and SMTP servers (since I get my folder structure, and can send messages). However, no matter how many times I try to refresh the inbox, the touchpad won't download a single email.
I have tried reinstalling the accounts and a complete reset of the ipad but no joy. I get no error messages of any kind - just empty folders.
I have created a log file after recreating the problem. Let me know if this is useful.
    Help please!
    Harry
Post relates to: HP TouchPad (WiFi)

    Hi...
Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately this hasn't resolved the issue.
Default folders were already assigned for my account. I tried assigning different ones, or unassigning but this didn't make any difference.
I'm pretty sure my email provider doesn't require a root folder. There's no mention of it in their help topics, and I've never assigned one in the past when I set up email on my Ipod Touch.  This is what they say about setting up IMAP
    IMAP Settings
    =========
    Incoming Mail Server: imap.mailanyone.net
    Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.mailanyone.net
    Incoming (IMAP) Port: 143
    Outgoing (SMTP) Port: 25
"SMTP requires authentication" should be ticked.
    Optional Security settings
    ================
"Use Secure Connections": can be ticked or unticked and will still work.
"Use Secure Authentication": tick if secure connection is set to "never" and untick if secure connection is set to "SSL"
I feel like this must be a bug with the way the email app is trying to communicate with their IMAP server, but I really need to iron it out!
    Thanks again
    Harry

  • Nokia E75 - email attachment in SNP file format

    I use a Nokia E75.
I frequently receive emails with attachments in SNP file format (Report Snapshots used by Microsoft Access).
However on attempting to open these attachments the following message appears:
Unable to open. File attachment format not supported.
I understand that Microsoft's Snapshot viewer is for Windows only. Is there any way to open and view these files?

  • E75 email crash after new messages received via IM...

    Hi guys,
I just changed my E66 to E75 and everything seemed ok, VoiP over sipgate works perfectly, querty keyboard is awsome, but I found one little problem which is a bit irritating.
I have two email boxes configured on my device, both are configured to receive emails via WI-FI and IMAP protocol. When I open one of them, it connects to the server automatically and receives new emails. Everything is brilliant when 1-3 new emails arrives but when I get more (5 or even 20 messages) the email reader crashes and closes all email application. When I enter to it again, I can see and read all theses new emails as normal. The issue is about the need to go to my email reader twice every time. I am pretty sure that this is the firmware issue, but I already have the latest one installed.
Does anybody have the same issue? Did anybody solve this?
P.S. Nokia guys, you make a great stuff. I changed more than 20 different Nokia models within past 5 years and all business class models were perfect. Newer ones are better and better as well. Cheers!

    Hi,
    My hotmail won't work either.
I have had problems since updating to the new software which was advised in a text message from Nokia.
I have also had problems with text messaging but that now seems to work ok.

  • E75: Email and connectivity

    Hi,
I have a question regarding the email app of my new E75 phone.
In 95% I check my emails via my WLAN at home. Everything works fine until I start reading a mail in HTML mode. When there is some graphic to download it starts automatically a new connection via UMTS/GPRS instead of using the established WLAN connection.
I could not find an email oder internet setting to let the device work properly. This behaviour has caused some extra payment to my mobile provider until I found the open connections.
How can I setup the device that it uses only the WLAN connection, if available?

    Hallo Thomas from Deutschland!
Go to Menu --> Settings --> Connectivity --> Network destinations --> Internet
There you should have your WLAN as well as the GPRS/UMTS access point.
Change the priority of the WLAN to "1" (to the top)
    or
Delete the GPRS/UMTS access point if yon´t want to use it
Good luck and let us know how it went!
    Thanks for this approach.
But also this setting is correct on my phone. Deleting the provider access point is not an option because sometimes I want to check my mails from abroad.
The only work-around I found working is to select the phone profile 'Offline'. But I can't believe that this can be the only solution.

  • Path errors in email BUG

PHP - On the Password Reminder email (forgot.html) the path to login.php (kt_login_page) is resolving incorrectly. (It's leaving out the subdirectory). If I change it through the dialog boxes to work with this page, then it breaks in the other pages that use kt_login_page.
Is this a bug? Is there any option besides hardcodong the URL in forgot.html?
    Thanks

I think I had a similar problem when first using the InterAKT version of the product. In my case, the problem was how the login and redirect pages were set in the Control Panel. Successful and unsuccessful logins are set there and may take priority over any redirects you're setting for an individual page.

  • N8 doesn't sync deleted emails (Bug ?)

    Hi
I use  MfE, GMail and Other providers on my nokia N8. (Yes, 3 accounts)
The problem is showing on all 3 accounts : when I delete a mail (or move it out the inbox), it still show up on the Nokia mailbox, until I run a manual sync.
This is really bad, as the homescreen only show the 2 last messages, and I use my PC and Webmail to delete/move mails. I rarely move/delete mails from the phone.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I found that for Gmail at least, this is because by default when configuring your mailbox if you "accept the terms" you are actually using nokias own messaging servers (email.nokia.com) instead of directly connecting and using your destination email providers server. So for example I use gmail and when configuring the inbox if I "accept the terms" then the mailbox setup on my device points to email.nokia.com and email.nokia.com syncs mail from gmail (using my mail id and password) and then my phone syncs mail from email.nokia.com, instead of syncing directly with gmail.  All this means when I delete mail from gmail, email.nokia.com does not sync (bug?) that and therefore my phone does not delete the mail.
The way you can directly sync with gmail is to "reject the terms" when configuring a new mailbox then it will configure a direct sync with your mail provider because by rejecting the terms, you have chosen to refuse to use email.nokia.com. The options available under settings will be different for a directly synced mailbox. You will be able to define advanced server settings like "incoming mail server" etc.
Also for IMAP you will be able to select which folders are synced... in case of gmail for an indirect sync account The "All mail" folder is not visible (because it is not present on email.nokia.com) but if you have a direct sync account you will be able to select it and also any custom tags you have defined in gmail.
