EAM advanced search - Add Another value options

Asset Activity is a field on all our work orders.
Is it possible to add it as a drop down value on the Advanced Search page under Add Another?

  • Controlling criteria in Advanced Search 'Add Fields'

    Hi all,
    Jdev Version: Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.7.0
    Background
    I have two VOs described as below -
    TaskVO - Fetches a list of tasks
    TaskUserVO - Fetches the list of users of tasks - Users may be assignees or owners identified by value in column 'USER_SOURCE_TYPE'.
    A view link relates TaskVO & TaskUserVO by the TASK_ID (primary key of TaskVO).
    I have a view criteria for displaying a search by assignee and search by owner as criteria in my search query region. For this, I have used 2 inline view criteria in my view criteria defined in TaskVO. Both inline view criteria are on TaskUserVO (one for Owner & other for Assignee) and each takes 2 bind variables -
    i. USER_SOURCE_TYPE - This can either be ASSIGNEE or OWNER
    ii. NAME - This is the name of the assignee or owner.
    Issue Description
    The issue I face is in Advanced Search - Add fields. Since the same inline view criteria (TaskUserVO) is added twice (once for Owner & other for Assignee), the Add fields shows 'Name' twice in the list.
    I need to show the Add field label name as 'Assignee' corresponding to the Assignee inline VC and name as 'Owner' for Owner inline VC. How can I achieve this?
    In general, I am also looking for ways to pro-grammatically modify the 'Add field' list (I understand that the Queriable flag controls this list declaratively). Any suggestions on this?
    Could QueryModel/QueryDescriptor help in achieving this?
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Any thoughts on this one?

  • Advanced table Add another row

    Hello everyone,
    I have created an advanced table region in my custom page. This is not a mandatory region in my page but there are other fields which are mandatory in the page. Right now i am unable to add another row in the advanced table unless all the other mandatory fields in the page are given some values.
    Is there any way to comeout of this situation.
    Thank you.
    PK

    I marked that this thread is answered answered but i have one more question relating to the same type of issue and thought of continuing this thread. It would be great if any one can give a suggestion.
    In the Advanced table, i have a delete button(its of type image) for which i have disabled the client and server side validations and implemented PPR for that button. Now when i click on the delete, the page moves up after deleting the row and i don't want that.
    How should i handle this situation?
    Thank you.

  • Google Advanced Search only displays 10 Results per page in Firefox 3.6.10

    In Google Advanced Search, choose any value for Results per page greater than 10 and do a search. When using Firefox 3.6.10, only 10 results are displayed on each page of results. 10 results per page is the Google default, and the Results per page selection apparently has no effect.
    This problem also happens in Google Chrome 6.0.472.63.
    The Results per page feature of Google Advanced Search is working properly in other browsers, such as Safari 4.1.2 on a PowerPC Mac and IE 7.0.5730.13 and IE 6.0.2900.5512.xpsp3_gdr.100427-1636 on a PC running Windows XP

    Google recently made some changes to the Google search site with the addition of Instant search and that made the setting of the number of results in the Google settings to stop working.<br />
    <br />
    If Instant search is enabled on the [http://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en Google Search settings] page (link at the top right) then you only get 10 results.<br />
    You have to disable instant search and reload the result page and then set the number of results to your preferred choice.<br />
    It may not work if you make both changes at the same time.<br />
    <br />
    There is a link directly to the right of the Google search field on the Google results page.<br />
    That is a button with a drop down list: Instant is On/Off.<br />

  • Hiding Add Another criteria in advance search region

    Hi,
    I have a requirement for hiding/removing the Add Another search criteria functionality of AdvancedSearch region. The user should be able to search for the criterias given.
    Please reply the way I can do this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mukesh

    Uchaniya,
    Read the above replies. First its not feasible. Second, only the items with the search allowed property set will appear as search criteria. So just handle your scenario through this property. Even if user adds more search criteria, the searchable columns will the same.

    I klnow the default value in dropdown can be changed but I want to remove some of the entries first in teh dropdown for the field.
    Pls advise.

    Hi,
    You dont need to remove the authorization object from the User profile.
    You jst need to modify data in Authorization profile.
    I tried in my system and I was able to remove it.
    Please follow below step:
    1) T.code PFCG
    2) Give role /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE (It can be any required role- If you are using customized role you have to pick up role accordingly) and click on change button
    3) Goto Authorizations tab
    4) Click on 'Change authorization data' at lower part of Authorizations tab,which will lead you to another screen
    5) Now expand the BBP component and SRM: Advanced search.Here you can see all the business object for Advance search.
    6) Now double click on object type BUS2203(Basically White color area)
    7) One pop up screen will come, there you can remove the required Business object.
    8)Once it is removed,save and Click on Generate(Shift + F5)
    9) Go n check the advance search option.
    Let me know if you will stuck somewhere.

  • How to Dynamically add Search Criteria in Advance Search Region.

    Hi All,
    I want to understand how can we add Search Criteria dynamically in the Advance Search Region.
    The Requirement is to add 4 additional search criteria for an org_id in a multi org structure. For other business those fields should not be visible.
    I did try this with the form personalization but could not Show/hide the additional search criteria programatically for the business as we can only see 4 search criteria at the time of page load and other criteria comes in the drop down list to add which can not be show/hide after page load.
    I thought of a solution to add search criterias dynamically for my org through extending controller.
    I found the OAAdvanceSearchBean (advance search Region in controller) object for my Advance Search but could you tell me how can I add the Criteria Row in that Advance Search (createWebBean function) and then add the item in criteria Row dynamically.
    Also please tell me how we can increase the showed criteria from default 4 to more, setDisplayedCriteriaCount(int) is not allowed and it is not working also.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Ashish Bansal

    Hi,
    As Lars said The "Search Option Set" and the "Search Component Set" offer you quite some flexibility.
    You can configure both of these component to customize your search.
    Once you did it, you can create a new basic search iview and set these components.
    On the other hand, you also customize the layout use to show result of search.
    Dont'f forget that you need to configure Trex and create an index.
    For instance, I configured the search criteria, the system only asked me some metadatas (created by us,whose value are dependents). Each time that you upload a document you set these attributes.
    Then when you want to search, appear a screen with these values

  • Help required to customize Simple/Advanced Search. Need to add new fields

    Hello,
    Module: Oracle Sales Online
    EBS version: 12.1.3
    Jdev version: 10.1.3.3
    Scenario:
    - We are dealing with standard oracle pages.
    - We have TWO "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH"s available. Each "Simple/Advanced Search" can be found by navigating through paths "A --> B" and "A --> B --> C --> D" . Here it means one "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH" page is available at page "B" and another "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH" is available at page "D".
    - In the first search page which is at page "B", both Simple as well as Advanced search has a filter field "Win Probability %", of type VARCHAR2/DROPDOWN with values (10, >=10, <=30, 30, >=30, <=50, 50, >=50, <=70, 70, >=70, <=90, 90, 100)
    - In second search page, referring to page "D", the Simple search DOESN'T have the "Win Probability %". And the Advanced Search page has the "Win Probability %" but it is of type - NUMBER/MessageTextInput type.
    Issue/Requirement:
    - The 2nd Simple/Advanced search pages need to have "WIN PROBABILITY %" field and it should be of VARCHAR2/DROPDOWN with values (10, >=10, <=30, 30, >=30, <=50, 50, >=50, <=70, 70, >=70, <=90, 90, 100) just like the way we had in 1st Simple/Advanced search.
    Note:
    - Again speaking we are dealing with standard oracle pages
    - If you go to the "About this Page", interestingly I found:
    i. The "message component layout" for both of them is from the same region , i.e., ASNOpptympSrchRN
    ii. Rest of the search filters for both the searchs are from common View Object , i.e., OpptySearchVO1 (for Simple search), OpportunityDetailsVO1 (for advanced search)
    iii. The "Stack layout" for both the search pages are same, i.e. XXMASOpptyQryCO
    iv. None of the fields are rendered to false (everything is set to be rendered TRUE)
    Any response is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Anand

    "XXMASOpptyQryCO is the name of stacklayout or CO?
    What is the CO?
    Does both pages share same CO?
    have you already extended the CO "XXMASOpptyQryCO"?
    what is the original CO then? I think in that CO it must be written somewhere, simple search "search allowed = false""
    -Here CO what you are referring is a controller.
    -FYI pages share same controller.
    -And the original controller for both the pages are OpptyUwqCO. Right now its extended controller is XXMASOpptyQryCO
    Fact is I didn't create this search page. It was built by some third party members. Also that I do not have the original source nor the documentation pertaining to it. So could you inform as in how should I navigate to the point "Search Allowed = True"
    I should have informed that at "B" page, it has a region      /oracle/apps/asn/opportunity/webui/ASNMgrOpptyQryRN and at page "D", the region is      /oracle/apps/asn/opportunity/webui/ASNOpptyQryRN

  • OAF Page Personalize Page to add a new criteria in Advance Search

    Hi All,
    I am new to OAF. I need to add a new criteria (Asset Activity) to the Work Order Advance Search page in EAM module.Asset activity field has to pick from the 'Create Work Order' Form. I can able to identify the CO class associated with this field in the 'Create Work Order' form.
    How to achieve this by personalizing the Work Order Advance Search Page.
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi All,
    I have done the following steps.
    1. From the Work Order Advanced Search Page, clicked on Personalize "Advanced Search".
    2. Created a Criteria Item with ID 'AssetActivityAS' and also created a Message Styled Text under this criteria.
    3. Back to the Advanced Search Page, clicked on 'Personalize Page' page in the bottom.
    4. Create an Advanced Search Mappings with ID 'AssetActivityMap' and Results Item as 'WorkOrdersVO.AssetActivity' and Search Item as 'AssetActivityAS'.
    5. But when I click on Apply, it's throwing the following error.
    oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: oracle.adf.mds.exception.MDSRuntimeException: Unable to find component with absolute reference = /oracle/apps/eam/workorder/webui/EAM_EW_START_PAGE.WorkOrdersVO.AssetActivity, XML Path = null. Please verify that the reference is valid and the definition of the component exists either on the File System or in the MDS Repository.

         at oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAWebBeanHelper.processRequest(OAWebBeanHelper.java(Compiled Code))
    etc...........
    I found WorkOrdersVO(oracle.apps.eam.workorder.server.WorkOrdersVO) from Business Component References Details of About Page: Work Orders.
    Am I doing the right steps to add a new search criteria in Advance Search page?
    Can anyone help me to resolve this issue?
    Thanks in Advance,

  • Not able to add Search Item in Advanced Search Mappings of a Seeded Page.

    Hi,
    For one of the seeded pages (Manager Self Service -> Termination) the Search Item drop down in the Personalization of the Advanced Search Mappings does not show any value. My requirement is too add a new criteria to the Advanced Search and i created an item for Table Layout, Criteria Row. But in Advanced Search i am able to see the Table Layout item but the Search Item does not show any value (even the seeded search items). Any one has faced the same issue?
    I am using Oracle Application Framework version 12.1.1.
    Thanks, Suresh

    Hi,
    Let's verify the followings:
    What browser did you use for your SharePoint? Whether you try to test with other browsers, like Chrome or Firefox.
    What template did you use for the problematic site?
    Whether this issue occurred on other sites or other site collections.
    Whether you could add other OOB web parts.
    What is text web part? Whether it is Content Edit web part.
    Whether other users with full control also meet this issue.

  • Advance Table: Problem on add another button

    Hello All,
    I have designed page that contains advance table and add another button. The table displays maximum 10 records in a page.
    First I click the button and enter the records. After that again I click the button for multiple records insert. Than the previous record goes to another page. In this case users are unable to see the previous record. In my question how can we prevent that one?
    Please help me…
    Thanks in advance…
    -- Subhas

    It is a Standard behaviour that table will show the records which are set in the max number of records displayed property.
    However if you want that records shudn't get shifted each time you press the add another row button you can set the max number of records programatically and increment 1 to it.
    This way the number of records displayed will be now 11.
    like each time you press add another row redirect the page, grab the table bean and then
    bean.setmaxnumberofrecords()
    increment the original value by 1 and then set.
    Thanks,

    I have managed to solve the problem.
    In the end I didn't check if the values were empty, as it worked fine without. However the switch of the price didn't work in combination with the rest of the query.
    I've solved the problem as follows:
    $varCategory_rsgetsearch2 = "%";
    if (isset($_GET['Category'])) {
      $varCategory_rsgetsearch2 = $_GET['Category'];
    $varMake_rsgetsearch2 = "%";
    if (isset($_GET['Manufacturer'])) {
      $varMake_rsgetsearch2 = $_GET['Manufacturer'];
    $varColor_rsgetsearch2 = "%";
    if (isset($_GET['Color'])) {
      $varColor_rsgetsearch2 = $_GET['Color'];
    $varPrice_rsgetsearch2 = "%";
    if (isset($_GET['Keysound_price'])) {
      $varPrice_rsgetsearch2 = $_GET['price'];
    mysql_select_db($database_dBconn, $dBconn);
    $query_rsgetsearch2 = sprintf("SELECT * FROM products WHERE Category LIKE %s AND products.Manufacturer LIKE %s AND products.Color LIKE %s", GetSQLValueString("%" . $varCategory_rsgetsearch2 . "%", "text"),GetSQLValueString("%" . $varMake_rsgetsearch2 . "%", "text"),GetSQLValueString("%" . $varColor_rsgetsearch2 . "%", "text") );
    switch( $_GET['price'] ){
            case '0-500':
            $query_rsgetsearch2 .= ' AND price BETWEEN 0 AND 500 ORDER BY price ASC';
            break;
              case '500-1000':
            $query_rsgetsearch2 .= ' AND price BETWEEN 500 AND 1000 ORDER BYprice ASC';
            break;
                        case '1000-2000':
            $query_rsgetsearch2 .= ' AND price BETWEEN 1000 AND 2000 ORDER BY price ASC';
            break;
              case '2000':
            $query_rsgetsearch2 .= ' AND price BETWEEN 2000 AND 10000 ORDER BY price ASC';
            break;
    $query_limit_rsgetsearch2 = sprintf("%s LIMIT %d, %d", $query_rsgetsearch2, $startRow_rsgetsearch2, $maxRows_rsgetsearch2);
    $rsgetsearch2 = mysql_query($query_limit_rsgetsearch2, $dBconn) or die(mysql_error());
    $row_rsgetsearch2 = mysql_fetch_assoc($rsgetsearch2);
    I'm sure that you can keep the checking for values in, however for me the was no need for it anymore.
    Thanks for all your help

  • Rename the show options link to Advanced search

    Hi,
    I have created a KM  Search iview and i would like to replace the show options link as Advanced search.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mahi

    Hi Mahi,
    You have to alter the value for the key <i>txtShowOptions</i> within <i>SearchControl<_en>.properties</i>, to be found under <i>com/sapportals/wcm/control/search</i> within <i>km.appl.ui.search_api.jar</i>, which
    itself is to be found under <i>...\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.km.cm.ui\lib</i> (restart the server afterwards). Be aware of this being a modification which has to be redone after deploying new SPs.
    Hope it helps

  • How to add a new  search criteria in Advance Search Page in OAF

    HI,
    In my application (R12) we can access customer related information from 2 places (2 different responsibilities as mentioned below), both are OAF pages.
    1. AX receivables
    2. Sales online
    From both the responsibilities we can perform search for customer related information as well (Simple as well as Advance Search).
    But Advance Search screen from 'Sales online' allows user to perform search, based on few additional fields as well such as 'Classification' (it's an lov based field).
    Now, User is asking to add that field on search page of AX receivables as well.
    So, how to add one more field (as search criteria), on an standard 'Customer' screen?
    Additional Info :
    1. LOV is based on HzPuiClassificationFilterVO
    2. And this VO is available on both pages. (oracle.apps.ar.hz.components.search.server.HzPuiClassificationFilterVO)
    So can we achieve this by Personalization only ? if yes plz share the steps as well.
    Regards,
    Adi

    Yes. It is possible through personalization.
    1. Create a criteria row under Advance Search
    2. Create a Result Item under advance table columns
    3. Create a Query Criteria Map based on the criteria and result item above.
    Please note the newly added criteria field should be in the Searchresults VO attributes list.
    Otherwise you need to extend the VO as well.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    -Mukesh.
