Easy points. How to reload swf in browser

After searching the internet I found myself back here for the right answer. I've updated an swf for a client and
in IE it won't reload without clearing the cache files. I know this is a common problem, but I couldn't quit figure out the best way to go about fixing it. I'd like to just add some actionscript to the swf if possible. Any help would be appreciated and I will make sure to mark answered when complete. Thanks

These preferences files contain general settings, for example the settings you set in GarageBand's preferences. If you created custom instruments, for example using the sound effects instrument, the settings will be in your User Library, in the folder ~/Library Application Support/GarageBand.
Really, the best thing you could do is to get a larger backup drive, ask Santa to bring one. This way you could backup the complete system, and if your drive should fail, and drives will fail sooner or later, you could restore everything in one go and get started again.
I always have two backups, a bootable clone and a time machine backup, and I keep them in different places. The bootable clone is perfect in case of an emergency. If the system drive should fail, I just plug-in the clone and can boot from this drive.
No kidding, but once I lost both my Time Machine drive and the system drive at the same time. A lightning struck close to our house, just as I was backing up my MBP. The surge caused by the lightning killed both the backup drive, the processor, and the system drive. And I was really greatful for the second backup.

How to reload the screen when changing languages in JavaFX 2?

I'm beginner with javaFX and i need to change language of the screen. but i have no idea how to reload the screen when the language was changed. The application have a button where have the language available. I want just refresh screen when the user change language.
Here is the start method to show the stage.

Your option 2 (reload the FXML for the scene using the new resource bundle as a parameter), is the way this would normally be done and what I would recommend.
Failing that, you could use option 1 of individually resetting the label text of labeled items (I don't really recommend this).
Why don't you want to use option 2?
Perhaps it is because there is some internal state of the UI which differs from the initial state when the the UI is first loaded (e.g. user has typed text in a text field and you want to preserve that). If that's the case you will need to either go with your option 1 of individually resetting the label text of labeled items, or implement something which preserves the UI state and user data by saving it in memory or to disk, reloading the UI via the FXMLLoader (essentially your option 2), then restoring the UI state and user data to what it was before the language change. Preserving and restoring the modified state seems complicated to me if you have a lot of state, so I wouldn't really advise this approach unless you really needed it.

Quite easy, well for you. You have to have the newest java plug in working in your browser, but as a flaw, if a user wants to access it they need to download it too, but there is a way in the new JDK i believe to have the JRE on Suns server to run the applet, so the user w/o the Swing librarys can use the applet w/o problems

How can I have a browser image that scrolls with images on top of it scrolling in tandem - so the background is a hexagon pattern with small images inside some hexagons and I want them all to be scrollable as a user uses the browser scroll bars. At the moment the background image jumps when I preview so the small hexagons all become out of alignment. Any tips appreciated. I have browser image set to tile - pinned at the middle and set to scrolling - the small images are not pinned -

Thanks for your answer - The images on the top layer are also links and change to show they're links on rollover - so I wanted to keep them as separate graphics - and it works to a point but when I preview the page in a browser the tiled browser image always moves no matter how I pin it and then everything becomes unaligned. Any further suggestions appreciated.

If, by "shrink" ... you mean by using the AppSizer, the
answer is "not really". You can configure AppSizer to a defined
size, then with the mouse pointer double-arrowed on the "edge" of a
window, right-click and your window-size selections will appear in
the AppSizer "list" (that you set up) and can be selected there.
But there is no re-scaling of the window contents, if that is
what you mean, so the smaller window may now require scrolling.
But keep in mind that if you use the recording option for
"Software Simulation" > "Custom Size", you can then snap the
application window to that size...

How to load another internet browser (Curve 8330m)

How do I go about loading another internet browser? I downloaded the Opera Mini and tried to make it as the default browser but couldn't seem to get it to work properly.
Can anyone point me to some documentation (nothing seems to be in the Blackberry Technical Solutions Center) or give me some step-by-step instructions on how to do this?

How to use swf file for Spark Skin

Hi all
I have little confuse about how to use swf file with Spark Skin,
in Flex3 , i use Flex Skin Design Extension for Flash to deal with skin ,
so basically , I just create a swf file and import to the project , then everything is ok
but , seem that not working in flex4 , spark skin.
1` I can't find the Flex Skin Design for the FlashCs4
2` I try to use FlashCs3 version to import the skin art to the project , but seemed not working.
3` I Google and check the Flex4 Help , seemed Spak skin need the Skin-Class , which I don't know how to use that with swf file
what I have searched is how to use FXG , or some jpg file in that skin class, none of them are use swf file.
so , is there any way that let user use the swf file to deal with the skin?
is the Flex Skin Design can use in Flex4?

I'm new to Flex, but have come to it from Flash Pro. I'd like to know the same thing. I think I found the answer here:

However my question is now: Is this a good approach to use?
99% of the googling I've done tells me to skin components with fxg files. I've tried that by creating graphics and exporting from flash, but using swfs containing lots of graphics is much faster so I'd rather use that.
The other thing I've done is to create custom components using these helpful tutorials:

It is either on another page, in a folder, or you have restirctiosn set.

Try using FireFox. IE will only run on a Mac if you run Windows on the Mac.
