Hii,
After running 'envSetup.sh' file and selecting phase 2
Phase 2 - Install Weblogic Server, ADF Runtime, Endeca Server
It shows the following error and installation is aborted.:

EBS Extension For Endeca Version 4

HI , I had installed the EBS Extension for Endeca by following the procedure as per the Document : Installing Oracle E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca, Release 12.1.3.4 (Doc ID 1562372.1)
The Database installation step completes Successfully and Validated too.
on the Step where i had ran the script envSetup.sh 5 times. on the phase where i had configure the EID and ETL for the EBS extension, But the Validation steps are failing.
I can see the Contents but without any Data in it. Control panel Tab of Studio do have the Data source Tab, but no data sources are appearing and no Create Data Source tab. Also in the My Account tab there are functionality like Password or Manage pages are not appearing. Application Settings says choose data source, but no data sources are appeared.
Thing is my Clover ETL Server is Working fine. Full Load Graphs are running Successfully. But Still there is no luck in the Oracle Endeca Studio. As per the Document the I had followed all the Steps perfectly.
Can Anyone please suggest me what is the Error ?? And What should I do to Resolve it ??

Where can I find the quick install package for EBS extensions for Endeca?

I want to install EBS extension for Oracle Endeca 12.1.3.4.
Where can I find the quick install package in the edelivery.oracle.com site? Which Product Pack should I select in the site?

If you're getting a "This update requires Mac OS X version 10.7" message, than you have the updater and not the full installer. Go to your Purchases section of the Mac App Store and you should see the full version there. But it may be 10.7.5, though in my system is shows as being from 2011 which would appear to be the original version.
As to Mountain Lion, that's supported only on the Early 2008 Mac Pro or newer.

Query on EBS Extensions for Oracle Endeca Release 12.1 V5

Dear Team
Can you please clarify the below query on Endeca,
After installing Endeca, I ran Full Graph Load for EAM module as per the document - Installing Oracle E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca, Release 12.1 V5 (Doc ID: 1683053.1)
EBS Database mount point was filled up while it is running. Will Endeca data be stored in EBS database itself, if so how can we estimate the free space required for each product.

I have seen posting about the installation of EBS R12/i11 saying it does not work with Windows Vista (64 bit). I went ahead and tried it anyway to see what kind of errors I get and to confirm if the errors I get are consistent with other people using Windows Vista. FYI, my installation went as far as 99% complete of step 2 of 5 before it errored out. I checked and noticed that many components of EBS have been installed with status equal zero which is good.
When I got the "TNS-12541: TNS: no listener", I went to Windows services, located the Oracle TNS service that was created by the EBS installation and tried to start it. Then I got this error: "error 1053 the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion". I googled the error message and the resolution is: "To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.". I have tried this but it does not work because my Windows Vista uses a higher version of .Net Framework 1.1. I have done more research but to no avail. However, it is fun as I learn many things about the EBS intallation and Windows Vista.
By the way, these are the steps when I run the rapidwiz on Windows Vista. Click on Start => Click on command prompt => right click on command Prompt => select run as administrator => CD to the path where the rapidwiz reside. Somehow if I use the regular command prompt the installation will die on step 1 of 5 even when I log in as administrator.
In your case you are using Windows 2k3. Make sure your OS is not 64 bit. Whenever you get an error and it does not say much, google it to see the resolution and make sure you read the Installation Guide. Hope this helps.

I'm having installation problems on both Solaris 8, (Ultra 480, 1GB RAM, latest recommended patches) and a Windows 2000 Server with SP2 (1GHz P4, 512MB RAM).
I chose default installation directory and then the install
complains that Pointbase 4.2 should be installed into the
same directory etc. Cannot unselect the Sample apps and
Pointbase options.

When you say that you choose the default installation directory and then the installer complained about Pointbase, what platform where you using? Had you already attempted installs in the past or uninstallations that did not complete properly?
For your second issue, did you happen to change the host name of your machine? Try cranking up the log level (edit server.xml) to see what's causing the instances to fail on startup. Did the application ever start up after install? What things did you do just prior to the server exhibiting this behaviour?

Urgent Help is Needed for Database Installation Problems

How can we resolve the following database problems in Windows XP? Originally, we had Oracle 10.1.0.4.2, and we wanted to upgrade it to Oracle 10.2.0.1. We uninstalled Oracle Home ORAH1_DEV and then got the following problems while installing Oracle 10.2.0.1. How can we resolve all these errors so database configuration assistants can work successfully? Please help us with these ASAP. Thank you very much for your help and time in advance.

-OyA specific ORACLE_HOME holds the binaries for a specific version of Oracle. You don't upgrade by simply installing a newer version of Oracle into the ORACLE_HOME of an older version. If you tried to do that you have probably irreversibly corrupted the original installation.
And there is no URGENT or ASAP here. We are all volunteers with regular jobs. If you have "urgent" support issues you need to open a Service Request with Oracle Support.

Oracle Portal 3.0 for NT installation problems.. HELP!!!

this is what shows up when I try to access my portal page:

Notes:
I'm running Oracle 8.1.6 on a different box then the Portal application. I loaded the Oracle Client on my machine(with Portal). I've gone through the Portal installation instructions many times and I'm almost certain I've configured everything correctly(but obviously not). I've also gone through the Net8 Assistant to see if I can get a connection and can.. I've made sure my db is up by using SQL Plus. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I thought I was out of the woods but have gotten some strange behavior. I'm able to work inside of the Portal application.. then I got this error..
Proxy log On failed.
Please verify that you have specified correct connectivity information i.e.username, password & connect-string in the Database Access Descriptor

TNS is unable to connect to destination. Invalid TNS address supplied or destination is not listening. This error can also occur because of underlying network
transport problems.
Verify that the TNS name in the connectstring entry of the DAD for this URL is valid and the database listener is running.
This is sort of the same thing from before. As soon as it happened I tested things out like:
testing out the Oracle HTTP Server
- Apache
- Jserv (demo)
- modplsql
for connectivity. I'm able to click on the above links and see that they are working. Then I brought down the OracleportalHTTPServer service and restarted.
I then tried to use SQL Plus to test db connectivity using Username: internal Password:xxxx with the service name but it spits back:
TNS:listener failed to start a dedicated server process. It seems no matter who I try and login as using SQL Plus I get the same thing. As I mentioned before I have the db on another machine with the Portal application & Oracle 8.1.6 Client on my machine. I didn't configure anything after I installed the 8.1.6 Enterprise Edition.. I was able to bring up the Portal page with no problems. Am I missing something.. seems very strange that I'm able to work in the application for a bit and then have it die on me.
I jumped onto the machine with my db.. brought down the TNSListener on that end, brought down the db service (OracleServiceXXX)and brought it back up and was able to use SQL Plus on this machine and get a connection to the db. I then got back on my machine, brought down the OracleportalHTTPServer service on my side, brought it back up and used SQL Plus to show a connection to the db. Thoughts??

WL 7.0 for Solaris - Installation problem

BEA Download Center.

what could be the problem?The installer is actually a self-extracting Zip-archive. It tries to unpack
itself into /var/tmp/something-random, before starting the actual
installation.
If you do not have enough free space in /var/tmp, try creating a temporary
directory somewhere else, move the installer into the new directory, and do
an 'unzip server70..............bin'. Once you have unzipped the installer,
I think you can look in a file called AUTORUN or something for the java
command to run the installer manually.

Microsoft Office for Mac Installation Problems

I have Office for Mac 2004, which supposedly allows 3 installations, with 3 different Installation Key Numbers. I have installed it on 2 Macs, and all is fine until I try to use both computers at the same time. Then I get a message on the Mac on which I installed it second telling me that "a copy of this programme is already open", and if I want to continue I have to close down all the Office applications on the first machine! Very frustrating! I am almost certain I used a different installation Key for the two machines but cannot find the recoed of what Key number was used. If I look in "Properties" I see that the product ID numbers are the same until the last group of digits which are different on the two machines. How can I find which installation Key numbers I used on each machine, and is there any way I can get aouns this problem. I am nervous to unistall and reinstall in case I am then not allowed to reinstall with a previously used Key!?

Don't be nervous. It's no big deal. On one machine, run Office and make note of the Product ID in the About <app> dialog.
Now, on the other machine, delete the file at /Application/Microsoft Office 2008/Office/OfficePID.plist and at /Users/<you>/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008/Microsoft Office Settings.plist.
The next time you run Office on the other machine, you will be able to re-enter your product key. After entering the serial number, double-check the product key with the one from the first machine. If it is the same go back and enter another serial number.

If this would not click, alternatively I am planning to change my operating system to Windows XP, this is not a good idea but I dont have option.

TS5376 is there a fix for iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows installation problem?

I tried the fix in "TS5376: iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open" but problem remains. We have the same issue on my dauther's PC (Windows 7 also). iTunes can't open and configure correctly.

When you uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, did you follow these steps below? This section contains information that might help your situation, as the order and manner which you uninstall has an effect on the outcome:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.

Microsoft office 2004 for mac installation problem

Hi there,
I initially download the microsoft office 2004 trial. I bought the student & teacher edition and install it in my macbook. There was a uninstall button on the trial software that I press and I don't know if that removed the trial version. The problem is "this product is license to office 2004 test drive user, my name and product ID number" are all showing initially when you press any of the office 2004 icon. Having the test drive user showing up makes me wonder if the trial version was totally deleted. If the trial version was not deleted, will it slow down the program and how can I remove it without re-installing the full version that I bought.

The uninstaller is located in the MS Office folder in the Additional Tools folder. There's also one on the Office 2004 X Installer CD.

8i for NT installation problems

I've just installed Oracle for the first time. I'm a newbie. When I create database using the configuation assistant I get the following error:
ORA-00101:invalid specification for system parameter MTS_DISPATCHERS
Then I hit Ignore and I get the following error:
ORA-00102: network protocol )ADDRESS=(PARTIAL=YES)(PROTOCOL=TCP)
Then I hit Ignore and I get the following error:
ORA-0103034:ORACLE not available
Then when I hit ignore again, I keep looping to the above error message and I'm forced to abort.
Please help me figure out this problem.
I could use some help but I also need a good book or something that might describe these kinds of problems and the appropriate solution.

Check to see if your tnsnames.ora file both on the PC and server have been set up correctly.
Check to see if all the ORA nt services for ORACLE that should be are up and running
start a dos session and try to get the database up using >svrmgrl. If that doesn't work then have a look at the path settings.
