Hi Experts,
I changed a BC4J EO.xml file directly under the EBS java_top directory, and then rebounce all the Weblogic servers (admin+managed). But the change doesn't seem to be picked up by the appserver. I also bounced the http server. Anything else I should do? Clear cache from Functional Administrator didn't help either.

or actually, the {forum:id=210} forum is better, because this is really an OA Framework question (at least I'm guessing, since they refer to EBS and there is no version information).
{forum:id=83} will likely just tell you "ask on the EBS forums or the OA Framework forum, since apps are so unique"

bc4j.cfg or the EO.xml is part of model project. if the UI project is dependant on the model project then you should see the changes.. otherwise. you should deploy the model project.
sometimes.. even if you do all the above the changes are not reflected.. whn u see this then clean all the project.. make, rebuild and run the project.
if that also fails then remove system folder as a last resort. :)

Norton 360 does not pick up tracking cookies after updating to firefox 17.0

With firefox 17.0 Norton 360 does not pick up tracking cookies that were picked up with firefox 16.0.2. Uninstalled 17.0 and and reinstalled 16.0.2 - tracking cookies are picked up - updated to 17.0 and again no tracking cookies. I did not see anything in release note that would seem to reflect this situation. asked this question at 08:57 PST 11/29/2012 and the reply stated that Norton 360 should still be able to remove tracking cookies. WELL IT DOES NOT - WHAT HAS CHANGED FROM 16.0.2 TO 17.0 THAT WOULD CAUSE THIS. IS THIS A NEW BUG? The first reply did not answer my question however it was marked as "solved". I have rolled back to 16.0.2 and updated to 17.0 twice and the same thing has happened both times.

Skype 7.0 is not picking up my voice after a black...

So basically what happened was I was skyping with my friend fine and suddenly PC got shut off due to a blackout. After a restart, my Skype (7.0) won't pick up my voice anymore. Only Skype won't pick up my voice. Steam, GTalk, Windows Setting all can pick up my voice. Tried to switch to front audiojack panel and it seems to work fine but quality is kinda bad (Skype 7.0 is not picking up my voice if my mic is plugged into the rear audiojack panel).
Things I've tried:
Reinstalling audio driver
Reset Skype settings
Clean reinstallation of Skype (Using Revo Uninstaller to uninstall)
Reinstalled Windows (Full Format)
I'm currently using Skype 6.14 which apparently is able to pick up my voice. Adviced needed :/

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool.
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.
Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

Control Code from Material not picked in Sales Order after EHP4

Hi Gurus,
We have updated Enhancement Package 4 for one of our client.
It is observed that the system is not picking the values maintained in Control Code of Material master. We have some pricing condition types maintained using the combination of Control Code and other fields, which are not being determined automatically.
The data is maintained in J1ID for this material and plant combination and it is also filled in material master.

Airport card not picking up any signals after IP configuration changed

Just had cable internet installed in my apartment, and in the course of setting up the IP configuration for the built-in ethernet connection, my airport card has stopped recognizing wireless networks in my building. Before I changed these settings, the card was working, and there are several networks in the building that it recognized. Now, it recognizes none. The menu appears in the top bar, and I can turn the airport on and off, but it simply is not picking up any signals whatsoever.
I have tried a handful of tactics, including changing the Airport TCP/IP configuration in several different ways, rebooting several times, and even removing and reinserting the Airport card.
For info: I'm using an iBook G3 with OS 10.2.8. (I know, pretty old, but it's still chugging along...)
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure. What's strange is that the very same computer was picking up signals (not accessing them b/c they were all password protected), recognizing networks in the area at least, before I played with the other IP configuration settings. Now it picks up none. It shows that there are none in the area, even though I know that there are.
Also, often, when I click on the Airport icon in the menu bar, the computer hangs for up to a minute before the menu actually pops up.
I have an Airport Express unit that I have hooked up to the cable modem, and my Airport card won't even recognize that signal. I'm just not sure what I changed that made it go haywire. I've been using this computer on wireless networks for the entire time I've owned it. Never had this problem before yesterday.

Jazn-data.xml not pick up by the server

i have my custom LoginModule, and i define it in jazn-data.xml with the following code:

but when i deploy it to my application server, the server doesnt seems to pick up my jazn-data.xml, and return me "No LoginModules configured for Login"
and i have already created an orion-application.xml and jazn-data.xml under META-INF folder
and wrap this into the war file
but the server doesnt seem to pick it up
does anyone face the same problem ?
my orion-application.xml look like this:

When same search strings are given, during EBS upload system not picking up

Hi,
We have a total of 7 company codes and have different -different seach strings assigned to each of them in EBS config. But now my client want to have a same seach string for two company codes, when configured in ECC 6.0 , and tried to upload the statement neither of the company codes are getting the bank statement uplaoded. Is there a way where we can assign company code wise so that the bank statement gets uploaded.

Hi,
I think this should be possible. Different company codes will have different House banks and Accounts ID.
The same search string can be used for each of the company code and house banks. This happend when after defining the search string, you assign these strings as above.
Tip : Please also check in the "TEST", by copying the search string from the bank file and see if the mapping is being hit.

HP 200 MFP M276nw not seen in the network after changing router

Printer: LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw
LAN: two PC's (Windows 7) and the printer wired to the router. Other devices connect wireless. Internet service is cable.
I installed this printer when a Linksys E2500 router was in use. The network configuration after installation of the printer was:
IPv4 address: 192.168.1.120
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
IP Configured By: DHCP
I replaced the Linksys router with a Netgear WNDR4500 (N900) router one month ago. Everything worked fine for about two weeks. Suddenly, the jobs sent to the printer started to take a very long time to begin printing, until they stopped printing altogether. The printer did not appear as an attached (wired) device in the router's Web-based interface. Not even the HP printer software or the HP Print and Scan Doctor could find a printer attached.
I unisntalled and reinstalled the printer, but was not successful until I changed the Ethernet cable connecting the printer to the router. The difference is that the old cable is Cat5e and the replacement a Cat6 ??? It is printing and scanning now but the printer is still absent as a wired device, and I am afraid that it will stop working once again.
I noticed that the printer's network configuration after reinstallation is:
IPv4 address: 169.254.230.140
Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway: 169.254.230.140
IP Configured By: AUTOIP
Searching the Web, I found an article saying that AUTOIP might be a sign of router or cable problems. My suspicion is that the printer's IP address is changing constantly and that's the reason for the printing delay.
My questions to the experts are: could I assign a manual IP address to the printer so I can add in the router -it provides for doing so-, and how is this done? In the HP Device Toolbox, under IPv4 Configuration, there is a drop-down menu with different options -DHCP, BOOTP, AUTOIP, and Manual- but I don't know if changes are done here, or if it is a more complex undertaking.

I fixed the problem the same day I posted the help request.
I shut everything down -including the cable modem and router- but left the printer on. Went to the printer's panel and changed toe IPv4 configuration from AutoIP to Manual. I already had picked an IP address starting with 192, since I've read that IP's starting with 169 are associated with AutoIP settings. From there, the printer presented valid Subnet Mask addresses, I picked one, as well as a Default Gateway address. Then I shut down the printer.
I turned back on the modem, router, pc's, and printer. The router then showed the printer as an attached device with its newly assigned IP address.
I suspected the cable was not a problem here, so I put back the Cat5e Ethernet cable. What baffles me is why the printer changed to AutoIP because it was not done by any user. Checking the reports printed when the printer was first installed, I see that the IP adress method as DHCP. After putting in the new router, changes consisted in SSID name and password in the wireless devices, and a firmware uodate of the router.
This was learning by trial since I am not a computer expert, but so far, we are to print and scan documents.

You have customised the skins/themes folder
$OBI_HOME/web/app/res/*
Depending on what webserver you are using you will also need to customise the skins/themes for the web application that is already deployed.
These are where you can find them:
OC4J: $OBI_HOME/oc4j_bi/j2ee/home/applications/analytics/analytics/res/*
WebLogic: $OBI_HOME/web/analytics/res/*
You will need to restart the presentation services to see the changes.
If you are manually deploying the application to the web server you will need to make your changes to the original app folder '$OBI_HOME/web/app/res/*' and then follow the below guide to create the web archive to deploy to the presentation server i.e. oc4j or WebLogic.

Stupid icloud sign in box says my id is a valid apple id but not an icloud id! after changing my password it still won't let me sign in, why?

I finally got tired of updating iTunes and saying no to iCloud. Stupid me apparently. Now I'm Faced with a sign in box for iCloud that says my id is a valid Apple id but NOT an iCloud id. Everything I look at says that the id should work for both. Well, it's not for me and I am regretting having installed iCloud. If I can't sign in, or find out how to, I am going to remove iCloud and will never have anything to do with it again as it will be an obviously unusable program. Anyone know how to fix the stupid thing?
OK. I finally got a new screen that says I have to use my apple id to set up iCloud on a device..I don't have any devices..only my PC, unless a Kindle counts. Can anyone help here, please?

When we modify the address in the architectural object, the data is not updated in the business entity.

Diagnosis
Data has not been updated in PSA Table . The request is probably still running or there was a short dump.
Procedure
In the short dump overview in BW, look for the short dump that belongs to your data request. Make sure the correct date and time are specified in the selection screen.
You can use the wizard to get to the short dump list, or follow the menu path "Environment -> Short dump -> In Data Warehouse".
Removing errors
Follow the instructions in the short dump."

Name server not updated in development configuration after change of SLD

Hi Guys
Hope you can help me with this one.
We have moved our SLD from one server to another.
After this we changed the name server in NWDI and in NWDS.
In NWDS i removed the development configuration and reimported it, but when I do this, a popup box shows the details of the development configuration and the name server is still the old SLD server. This means that when I start the NWDS I get an error saying that the name server host is unreachable.
Where do I change this?
I found out that the name server is setup in the .confdef file under .dtc\0 in the field called name-server-url. If I change this manually in the file, it works. But if I remove the development configuration and reimport it again, I am taken back to the old name server again.
It seems as if something has to be changed in NWDI, but I can't figure out what.
Can anybody help?

Hi Jacob,
I would proceed as follows: 
- login to your new SLD 
- go to the technical systems in the landscape area of the SLD 
- in the filter drop down select AS JAVA 
- check if your NWDI has reported to this SLD in the last 12 or 24 hours, you can check this on the "last update" column 
- if your system has reported to this sld the last few hours this is good if not go to the step "change J2ee to new sld" i will descirbe later. 
- remember the name of the system here. it is like sid on dbhostname. 
- got to sld administration (link on top) choose content maintenace in administration 
- in the subset filter select "All with instances" as class set SAP AS JAVA Cluster 
- you should find your system there. click on it. 
- in the new screen find a link in the middle top <nr> associated instances -> click it 
- in the next screen you will see the relationship of the technical system to the rest of the sld data. 
- there should be a topic called "hosted application server" 
- the should be an entry like: system landscape directory: sld on sid on server -> click it 
- here you will see the data for this hosted system. You can find the cim/url definig the SLD you will find the roles. Landscape and name server should assigend and so on here you can chage the SLD url. 
You can although proceed as follows. This as well requieres you nwdi to report and use this sld in j2ee see below if not. 
- on sld startscreen choose landscapes in the landscapes part of sld 
- select landscape type nwdi systems 
- if there is no landscape you can create one 
- in the landscape ypu can assinge systems. The sld should be availabel to choose. 
- once in the landscape you can view the system and you can change the CIM Server url and the roles there aswell its just another view on the content. 
 
you can although check: 
- open name reservation from develpoment part of start screen 
- here you should find a button about enabling or disabling the sld for nwdi usege. this should be of course enabled... 
 
"change J2ee to new sld" Ok and here what to do or to check if you are not sure if your NWDI uses/reports to the new sld. 
- Go to the nwdi server an open Visual admin i asume you are running a 7.0 Di if not let me knoe i can although tell you for CE. 
- ok in VA. select on of your server nodes->services->SLD data supplier. 
- an overview page will show up. 
- select the http settings tab in the lower middle. 
- https settings will tell the j2ee where to report to. Verify the data and change if needed. use the lightinigbolt button on top to transfer data to the sld. have a little patiance if your data is not shown immediately in your sld,. it may take 1-2 minutes until it is shown in the gui. 
- switch to cim client generation tab. those paraemters will tell your j2ee from what sld to read data from. It is important to understand that you may report to one sld but to read from antioher. depending on your sld landscape. The CIm CLient should use the same Sld as your NWDI uses in CMS setting. 
- if all is setup. do a cim client test. 
 
Allright. This is all I know on how the NWDI is integrated in SLD. Hope you can resolve your problem wiht this steps.

Develop changes not reflected in Exported files after changing PCs?

Hi,
I recently upgraded to a new laptop so installed LR3 on the new laptop. I them imported the Catalog etc.
When I browse of a folder of my library (that I developed on the old laptop just before the upgrade) I initially see the undeveloped picture but after a second or so it updates the picture to reflect my develop changes made previously. So, it appears the import has worked succesfully etc.
However, I then tried to export a selection of these pictures to a new location so that I could isolate and upload to a photo printing site. Once the export was complete I noticed that the jpg files exported to the new folder do NOT contain the develop changes I made.
I am a bit stumped now - I know that before changing Laptops I had exported some of these photos from the same folder (to burn to cd and send to a friend) the exported files definitely reflected the develop changes.
Can someone please help me understand what has gone wrong?

Thanks for the response and apologies for my late reply - been away for a few days.
I checked the output format and it was set to JPG - not Original.
But I think the problem was down to my mixing up my catalogs - I normally have my catalog on a NAS drive with a SUBST drive letter and with a backup on the local drive every now and then.
I think I may have opened the wrong catalog (the local one) - still dont understand how the changes I made were still refelected when viewing the file in LR3 - weird!
