ECC = SNC ReplenishmentOrderNotification custom message through SAP PI

Helllo,
I have one issue during proxy call in SNC. We are implementing SNC system with our ECC 6.0 system for PO processing, PO Confirmation Processing. The interfaces used is the standard SNC PI package from SAP through SAP PI; however, we have extended PO IDOCs in ECC for some Z-fields and created a new message type in SAP PI and mapped them properly. The problem, when it reached SNC, I checked the XML message and it was as expected with the new Z-fields but when the inbound proxy is called, I got the following error:
Error during proxy processing An exception with the type CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause The function call of /SCA/BIF_REPLORD_BO failed; a field may have been assigned to the parameter IS_REPLORD_NOTIF whose type is not compatible with this parameter
it seems that the newly generated service interface is not reconginzing the new ReplenishmentOrderNotification message structure with the Z-fields
How can we resolve this issue and make the inbound proxy reconginze the new message stucture?
By the way, I found this Badi: BAdI for ReplenishmentOrderNotification_In? and I have no clue how it works if we need to implement it?
Thank you,

Hi Alan,
Please check below threads.
1. INTERFACE_REGISTRATION_ERROR (inbound ABAP proxy)
2. ABAP ->INTERFACE_REGISTRATION_ERROR for outboud sync ABAP proxy
3. INTERFACE_REGISTRATION_ERROR using File-to-File method

  • ECC TO SRM-MDM CATALOG THROUGH SAP PI

    We have a scenario where we are sending data from ECC to SRM-MDM Catalog through SAP PI and data is coming from ECC through proxy and sending to SRM u2013MDM catlog through file adapter. In ESR part we have used SAP defined standard service interfaces (CatalogueUpdateNotification as sender interface and MDMInfoRecordDataTransmission as a receiver interface). The mapping used is also standard one.
    Now we have got requirement to send the data for vendor mat no, manufacturer field of info records from ECC to SRM-MDM catlog.  But we are unable to find out these two fields in standard interfaces/messages. Can anybody guide us how to add these fields in the current data types or is there any other standard interfaces we can use.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shiv,
    Many thanks for your reply.
    Since we're not using XI / PI scenario and this is an upgrade from SRM 5.5 to SRM 7, Iu2019m using the same approach that was already used in SRM 5.5 with CCM 2.0.
    The idea is that the catalogue and all the records maintained need to be associated to a contract. So, I add the contract ID and the correspondent contract item in the import file, in addition to the supplier name, product ID, price information and so on. I mapped the contract ID with the field contract price.
    In relation to the price information fields, as I want it to be visible for any user that accesses the product catalogue, I tried different approaches:
    1.Using OCI Price information u2013 amount, currency, price base quantity and price base quantity UoM;
    2.Using OCI Price contract u2013 amount, currency, price base quantity and price base quantity UoM;
    The first approach didnu2019t work very well, as I was not able to see price information when accessing the catalogue. I could only see it once I transfer the items to the SC. In addition, this approach had one problem. The products were displayed but it was not possible to select the items one by one. To do that I needed to select all the items of the catalogue and after that the detail of the contract ID was displayed in every item, allowing me to choose the items that I want to select to my SC.
    The second approach was better as the information was visible when accessing the SC and I was able to select all the items, one by one, as it should be. The main problem of this approach was that Iu2019m getting errors in the SC when the materials have stock u2013 u201CInterface data contains errorsu201D. Or alternatively, if the items didnu2019t have stock, the SC was possible, but when I tried to create a PO from that SC, It simply does not work.
    So, can someone help me? Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Andreia

  • Raising Customer Messages with SAP OSS on BCS issues

    Hi guys,
    I'd be keen to know everyone's opinion on raising customer messages with SAP OSS, in particular on BCS.
    Often I find that my colleagues are hesitant to raise a note with SAP because they think it either takes too long or they don't get a satisfactory answer.
    Whereas as soon as I see something fishy, that I cannot explain I will check my logic once more, check on SDN, check existing OSS notes, then raise a Customer Message immediately (while I continue to investigate/test).
    This is partly due to my experience that half the time I feel like a guinea pig in BCS, perhaps because BCS is not as widespread as other modules and i may be the first to try something so may be first to experience the problem.
    The first line response (often from Shanghai) usually tries to send the message straight back but I find with a little persistence, clear (and irrefutable) documentation , you soon get through to the experts in Germany (or is it Czech Rep?) who actually understand the issue.
    The client has paid a lot of money for the service through their SAP licensing and maintenance fees, so I have no qualms about 'reporting a product error' when I see one.
    Also, I find a lot of BCS documentation is out of date, not updated as new releases/EHPs come out, eg I recently relied on the contents of OSS note 936590, which was wrong for BCS 604. So I raised a customer message and requested that they update it, which has now been done - this is too late for me but might help someone else.
    Raising a Customer Message with OSS is not an excuse to avoid doing your job, but where there is a genuine error in BCS, I encourage others to raise OSS notes and persis with them until a satisfatcory response is received.

    Concur with TheScotsman.
    The situation is almost the same: the 1st line support (India) very often beat back the costomer message without going deep into the problem. However, if we persist and provide additional details (or when the message was made very professionally and bypassed the 1st line) the message was rerouted to consultants from Czeck Rep.). In this case the progress was significant. Since the client do not provide access to the system, in a couple of times we made a remote session: the support guy gave directions what to do in the system and where to look for some details. The problems were solved in a half an hour.

  • Unable to find the customer message.

    Hi Gurus,
    I m facing a problem where I can create the customer message through steps.
    Help-->Create Support Message and then enter the message in the same.I had configured the Service Desk Management System in the ECC6 System.I can view the calls or the messages in the Solution Manager (locally).But I had configured the Q.A. System for generating the customer message.When I create the message it shows as message created successfully but I cant view the message list in Solution Manager.
    Request you please guide me for the solution .
    Eagerly waiting for the  positive response.
    Regards,
    Amit

    Hi Milind,
    you can only change a message if the message is at status 'customer action', but if I understand you corretly you have sended the message to SAP and you want to change now something.
    This is possible but you cannot do it by your own. For doing this please call the customer center of SAP, the colleagues at the hotline their can make the change and assist you by finding the message. Which number you have to dial is listed in SAP service marketplace
    service.sap.com
    -> choose SAP Support Center Addresses
    or check SAP note 16481.
    Hope this help.

  • Hide Command Box through Sap ECC 6.0

    Hi, SAP GURU's
    How is it possible to globally hide command box in a Sap ECC 6.0. or hide it only from Enterprise Portal.
    Regards
    Sumeet Sharma

    Hello Sumeet Sharma
    Hiding the command box in SAPgui for windows is not possible.
    Disabling it would probably mean you have to rewrite the SAPgui interface (not feasible).
    Restricting your users from accessing content they are not supposed to access is based on authorizations, if you give everyone all rights you are bound to heading for trouble and issues restricting where they are going. Also when you get an audit they will surely flag this point as being dangerous.
    You can check with SAP by opening a customer message.
    Kind regards

  • Custom error message in SAP application log

    Is there a way to add a custom error message to the SAP application log without passing the message variables MSGV1, MSGV2, MSGV3, MSGV4 and the Message class and number.
    We want to pass a custom message from the BAPIRET2-MESSAGE without giving it a Message class and number.  The reason for this is that  we are using class based exceptions instead of the traditional message class with errors.  When we catch the class based exception, we take the error text of the exception and put in in the BAPIRET2-message and set the BAPIRET2-TYPE as 'E'.  Now we want to add this to the SAP application log.
    The call to 'BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD' takes a structure BAL_S_MSG which is just like BAPIRET2.  However this function builds the entry to the application log use the message variables MSGV1, MSGV2, MSGV3, MSGV4.  There is no provision to pass in the BAPIRET2 message.
    Add message to application log
      CALL FUNCTION 'BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD'
        EXPORTING
         i_log_handle              = app_log_handle
         i_s_msg                   = log_message
    Thanks,
    Jay

    Hi Jay,
    Did you see <b>BAL_LOG_EXCEPTION_ADD</b>?
    This FM is represented by the structure <b>BAL_S_EXC</b>. This can have various versions as described below:
    <b>Data of BAL_S_EXC Structure  /     Use</b>
    <b>EXCEPTION</b>  /                              Exception class from which an exception text
                                                       is added to the log. This field must be filled.
    <b>MSGTY</b>  /                                     Message type (MSGTY) of a T100 message.
                                                       This field must also be filled for exceptions.
    <b>PROBCLASS,
    DETLEVEL,
    ALSORT, TIME_STMP</b>  /                Message or exception attributes, such as
                                                        problem class (PROBCLASS, for
                                                        example, "very important"), level of detail
                                                        (DETLEVEL, from 1 to 9), sort criterion
                                                        (ALSORT, unrestricted) and timestamp
                                                        (TIME_STMP). These fields can be displayed
                                                        in the log (except TIME_STMP).
    <b>MSG_COUNT</b>   /                            This attribute is not used for exceptions.

  • In solman 4.0 how to send message to SAP through service desk

    Dear all,
            I have configured service desk functionality, My requirement is from service desk how to send message to SAP.
    Regards,
    Pavan.

    Hi,
    Following the steps:
    &#131;Basic configuration - RFC Connections to SAP
    Check if the RFC Connectino SAPOSS is working properly
    Check if load distribution group is set to EWA
    The RFC Connections:
    - SAP-OSS (Send Message to SAP)
    - SAP-OSS-LIST-O01 (Update Message from SAP)
    will be created automatically by the system with a user which has been assigned
    previously.
    IMG Path: SAP Web Application Server | SAP Web Application Server | SAP Solution Manager| Basic Settings | SAP Solution Manager System | Connection to SAP | Assign user for forwarding Service Desk Message
    With transaction SM59 you can adjust the RFC connections.
    - For further information on SAP R/3 Front-end connections, see SAP Notes: 33135, 766505, 24177
    - To forward Service Desk notifications and Issues to SAP, you need to assign a user to the SAPNet R/3
    Front-end connection to SAP.
    Activities:
    - 1. From the SAP Solution Manager (transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER), choose (Edit-> Global Settings.
    - 2. Choose Display<->Change.
    - 3. For SAP Service Marketplace, specify http://service.sap.com as the URL.
    - 4. In the Connection to SAP tab, specify SAPOSS as the RFC destination. Note that the entry is casesensitive.
    - 5. For User forwading messages, enter a valid user and a password. This user will require all the authorizations for SAPNet R/3 Front-end for your customer number.
    - 6. Save your changes.
    The system automatically generates the following RFC destinations and assigns the S-User and password you specified: SAP-OSS, SAP-OSS-LIST-O01
    Good Lucky!

  • [Ask] SAP Customer Message Costly?

    Gurus,
    I'm curious about one thing, especially after reading Solution Manager service delivery platform.
    Is it that you should be careful when sending message to SAP?
    What I mean by 'be careful' is, is it that when you send message, asking a question to SAP Global, using, for example component BC-DB-ORA, you get charged of it?
    What I'm pretty confused is, customer paid SAP for enterprise support. So which message, under what circumstances will be charged to customer? And if it is 'chargeable message', will SAP inform you first about it?
    Employees in my company said that all message except component xxx- will be charged $250.
    Well, is that true? And just how free can we get support from SAP?
    It'll be nice if solution manager is used as service desk, then when there's problem, for example from end users, it'll be sent to SAP, and SAP give recommendation. As part of the service of course.
    Can someone light me up about this Customer Message price scheme, please?
    Thanks for your help.
    Best Regards,

    Bobby,
    As always with SAP licensing, "It depends".
    Most customers of SAP also pay for a support contract.  Generally, the support you get for free and the support you get for fee is spelled out in your contract.  For standard support, you get virtually unlimited messages with SAP for free, as long as the subject deals with standard functionality (they won't help you with custom programs, or at least they won't do it for free).  And yes, my experience is that they always tell you when you will be charged.  I never heard the $200-per-call-for-non-xxx-messages deal, but I have always been blessed to work under an ongoing support contract.  Basically, the contract supports any module for which we own a licence.
    You really need to talk to your SAP Account manager.  He can tell you in layman's terms what your support contract (if any) covers.
    Rgds,

  • Unable to display customs document in SAP GTS

    Hello,
    I am using SAP GTS 7.2 Compliance services. SPL and Embargo services are working well (I am not using License determination).
    Indeed, when I save a sales order in ERP, it is effectively checked for compliance, as I receive a message when it is blocked by GTS..
    In GTS, I can check that concerning business partners are effectively blocked, using:
    "Display Blocked Business Partners" and "Display Business Partners with Embargo Situation".
    But I cannot display any customs document in SAP GTS, using transaction /SAPSLL/CUHD_DISPLAY (Display all documents) or SAPSLL/CON_BLOCKED_DOCS_EXP (Display blocked documents).
    I get the following error message "No data was found for the selection criteria specified".
    As I understood, SAP GTS performs the compliance checks not on ERP documents but on corresponding GTS customs document. Thus I guess they are effectively created somewhere! If it was not the case, I guess the process should not work.
    When I look in the audit trail of SPL for documents, I can see all the SPL checks that have been performed. Looking in the corresponding table "/SAPSLL/SPLAUD", I can even find the numbers of the different customs documents...
    But there is nothing in table "/SAPSLL/CUHD", where they should be copied... The only entries I found concern biling documents that were transferred for customs purposes...
    Could you please help me on this matter?
    Many thanks,

    Hi Sameer,
    Thank you for your fast answer. I checked in the debug mode creating a breakpoint at statement RFC and it effectively stops at RFC /SAPSLL/API_6800_SYNCH.
    But when I check the log in transaction SLG1, nothing appears concerning /SAPSLL/API_6800_SYNCH.
    I think the customs document is effectively created in GTS as I can see it has a number assigned in the audit trail for SPL screening. And compliance services work.
    Though when going through the transaction of displaying all documents in GTS there is nothing. Table "/SAPSLL/CUHD" is empty (except some billing documents that were transferred for customs purposes).
    This is really weird... Anyway, thank you for your help.
    Kind Regards,

    You might want to check following things:
    Can you do a ping to the IP address you specified?
    Is the data correct (ip, host, system number,...)?
    Is the gateway with system number 00 running on the server?
    Did you install the SAP RFC SDK dll's?

    Hello Veer .
    Please try to do the following  ...
    <b>ORA-01017: Invalid username/password; logon denied</b>
    Message ORA-01017 can occur both in step 1a) and in step 1b) or 2). Depending on this, the problem can be corrected as follows:
    1a) log entries:  Logon as OPS$ user to get <sapowner>'s password
                      Connecting as /@<sid> on connection 0 ...
    ERROR => OCI-call 'olog' failed: rc = 1017
    ERROR => CONNECTfailed with sql error '1017'
    If you intend to use the standard password for <sapowner> anyway, you can ignore the error message at this point, as the OPS$ mechanism is not needed at all and the connect is carried out using <sapowner>/sap successfully afterwards. Note, however, that BR*TOOLS require a working OPS$ mechanism when executing via DB13!
               Otherwise, make sure that an appropriate OPS$ user is set up. To do this, proceed as follows:
    Check whether the parameter
    os_authent_prefix = ops$
    is set correctly in init<sid>.ora. If you have to make a change, restart the database afterwards.
    On Windows, make sure that the following parameter is set in sqlnet.ora:
    SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NTS)
    Determine which operating system user <os_user> wants to create the connection. If this involves a connect initiated out of the R/3 System (for example, work process connect, DB13 actions), user <sid>adm is used under UNIX and user sapservice<sid> under NT. If you manually called the program that executes the connect, the user you are using is decisive here.
    Use SVRMGRL to check whether the user OPS$<os_user> (or OPS$<domain>\ <os_user> for NT with Oracle >= 8.1.5) has been created at database level:
    SELECT * FROM DBA_USERS WHERE USERNAME = 'OPS$<os_user>';
    (for <os_user>, always use upper case)
    If the system does not return an entry, create the user:
    CREATE USER "OPS$<os_user>" DEFAULT TABLESPACE <user_tsp>
      TEMPORARY TABLESPACE PSAPTEMP IDENTIFIED EXTERNALLY;
    Note that the name of the OPS$ user must be specified completely in uppercase letters (also the host and domain names in case of NT and W2K), since a logon as OPS$ user will not work if it is not:
      wrong:   CREATE USER "OPS$c11adm" DEFAULT TABLESPACE ...
              CREATE USER "OPS$sapdom\C11ADM" DEFAULT TABLESPACE ...
      correct: CREATE USER "OPS$C11ADM" DEFAULT TABLESPACE ...
               CREATE USER "OPS$SAPDOM\C11ADM" DEFAULT TABLESPACE ...
    Tablespace <user_tsp> is used when newly creating objects, when no explicit tablespace name is specified. In connection with R/3, this is almost never the case. Therefore, you can specify any tablespace. Proposal:
             R/3 <= 4.6D:  <user_tsp> = PSAPUSER1D
            R/3 >= 6.10:  <user_tsp> = PSAP<sid>USR
    Check whether the OPS$ user has sufficient authorizations. The following statement must at least return CONNECT and RESOURCE:
    SELECT GRANTED_ROLE FROM DBA_ROLE_PRIVS
      WHERE GRANTEE = 'OPS$<os_user>';
    If CONNECT and/or RESOURCE is missing, you can grant theseauthorizations as follows:
    GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE TO "OPS$<os_user>";
    If all the settings described above have been made correctly on NT/ Windows 2000, but the error ORA-01017 is still displayed during the OPS$ Connect, the cause may be a start user set incorrectly for the SAP Service. Change to the services overview of the operating system and check the user who starts the service SAP<sid>_<instance_number>. If the user is not sapservice<sid>, enter sapservice<sid>. Other users (such as the local administrator) do not have an OPS$ user in the database, which leads to error ORA-01017. Check also whether the start user sapservice<sid> is a local user or a domain user. Domain users can be identified by the preceding domain name. Depending on this, the following OPS$ user should exist on database level:
    Domain user:    <domain>\sapservice<sid>
    OPS$ user:       OPS$<domain>\sapservice<sid>
    Local user:      sapservice<sid>
    OPS$ user:       OPS$<local_host>\sapservice<sid>
    1b) log entries:  Logon as OPS$ user to get <sapowner>'s password
                      Connecting as /@<sid> on connection 0 ...
                      Now I'm connected to ORACLE
                      Got <sapowner>'s password from table SAPUSER
                      Disconnecting from connection 0 ...
                      Now I'm disconnected from ORACLE
                      Try to connect with the password I got from OPS$-user
                      Connecting as <sapowner>/<pwd>@<sid> on connection 0
    ERROR => OCI-call 'olog' failed: rc = 1017
    ERROR => CONNECTfailed with sql error '1017'
               An ORA-01017 message at this point indicates an incorrect <sapowner> password in the SAPUSER table. In this situation, proceed as follows.
    Set the password consistently in SAPUSER and in the Oracle DDIC using the following BRCONNECT call (BRCONNECT >= 6.10):
    brconnect -u system/<password> -f chpass -o <sapowner> -p <password>
    Otherwise, change the password in the SAPUSER table:
    DELETE FROM "OPS$<sid>ADM".SAPUSER;
    INSERT INTO "OPS$<sid>ADM".SAPUSER VALUES ('<sapowner>', '<password>');
    Important: The SAPUSER table should only exist once in every system: for OPS$<sid>ADM. For this reason, only execute the above-mentioned statements for OPS$<sid>ADM - irrespective of the operating system user actually being used. All other OPS$ users can access the SAPUSER table using a synonym.
    If the connect still terminates in the same way, check once more the section "General checks".
    2) log entries:  Try to connect with default password
                    Connecting as <sapowner>/<pwd>@<sid> on connection 0
    ERROR => OCI-call 'olog' failed: rc = 1017
    ERROR => CONNECT failed with sql error '1017'
    If you want to use the standard password sap and do not need the OPS$ mechanism, reset the <sapowner> password to sap:
    ALTER USER <sapowner> IDENTIFIED BY sap;
    If you do not want to use the standard password, the error cannot be avoided at this point. Set up the OPS$ mechanism as described above instead.

  • Message on SAP login screen

    Hi all,
    How to add a system message on the SAP logon screen.
    I just want to put display some content and links on screen where we enter client and username and password.
    regards,
    helpful answers are surely rewarded.

    Hi,
    Personalization of your SAP system  logon screen, splash screen etc
    1) Adding text to the SAP logon screen. This is very handy for identifying which SAP system the user is about to log onto, especially non production boxes. You can also warn them here of pending changes, updates or outages. Because it is up while they are typing in their userid and password, they can't claim they missed the system message. SAP icons like the stop sign and warning signs can also be displayed. Details can be found in OSS note #205487. Here are the guts:
    Go to Transaction SE61 and select the document 'General text' (selection via F4 help), and create a text with the name ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO in the language defined with profile parameter zcsa/system_language.
    If the text does not exist in the system language, no output is made.
    Note that there is space for 16 lines with 45 fixed-font characters each or for approximately 60 proportional space font characters on the logon screen.
    Title lines (can be recognized by means of format keys starting with a 'U') are highlighted in the display.
    You may also output icons at the beginning of lines by using an icon code (for example, @1D@ for the STOP icon). You can get a list of icon codes from Report RSTXICON. Pay attention to the codes with two '@' symbols displayed by the report. You cannot include text symbols. The 'include indicator' cannot be used for this function. SUBHINT here. These can be used on system messages as well.
    Creating/changing this text requires a changeable system. Therefore, for production systems, SAP recommends maintaining the text in the upstream system and then transporting it. To do this, select a transportable (customer) development class when you create the text and save the active version prior to the export. The transport is done via the transport object R3TR DOCT ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO The text can be changed in the original system only (see TADIR entry R3TR DOCT ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO). When making a change in a non-original system, a modified text would be generated which cannot be represented sensefully on the initial screen.
    2) Changing the splash screen on the main menu can add some pizzazz to the otherwise boring screen. It can also be changed easily on a regular basis. For production systems a company logo and/or company mission statement might be appropriate. Here are the instructions:
    First, in transaction SMW0 (SAP Web Repository), select "Binary data for WebRFC applications. The logo must be in a .gif format. From this transaction, create a new object, then choose to IMPORT. You must then specify the path to the .gif object you have saved, and select the option to TRANSFER.
    Then, maintain table SSM_CUST via SM30. Change the field START_IMAGE to the name of the object you created in SMW0.
    3) Changing the rippling water on the top right on all is easy but tedious and requires no change to the SAP system. The file name is 'sapalogo.bmp' and resided in the directory "SAPpcsapguithemesdefault". Looking at this file you can see how it works. Use an editor like Paint and replace each of the SAP ripple images with a morphing image of your own. Make sure the new image is the same size as the original. There are 33 images in the original but you don't need that many. One idea for a morphing image would be to take your company logo and have it build its way across the screen and then off again.
    4) Changing the startup movie is even easier. Replace the file 'sapss.avi' with a short avi of your own. This file resides in the same directory as 'sapalogo.bmp
    Pls reward points,
    Regards,
    Ameet
