ECCN Numbering Scheme Assignment

Hi,
When you have defined numbering scheme(NS) for ECCN for exports
what is use of assignment to
1. Assignment NS of Export List to License management
2. Assignment NS of Export List to Legal Control
I understand 1st one for license determination but what is the 2nd assignment used for? In Help both have same description
Can anybody guide me?
Thanks,

Hi Kiran,
Yes you are right, this is not properly explained in Help.
First one is for license maintenance i.e. You have defined a numbering scheme for each of the legal regulations with which you maintain ECCN's in the licenses and in the
customs product master.
Second one i.e assignment of numbering scheme to Legal Control is for license determination. Because license determination tables contain the attribute Export Control Classification Number. It is important to determine the relevant license type at control class and legal regulation level

  • Numbering Schemes

    Hi,
In my scenarios for EAR  regulation for license determination, I have same ECCN for Both imports/exports
Is it ok if I define one Numbering scheme on the exports and assign the same for the export as well as import license determination.
    Does it impact anything?
Can I have same scenario for even HTS numbering scheme?
    Thanks,

    Hi Friends,
    My question was simple.
for example let us take US right?
I have maintained Numbering scheme (NS) "ScheduleB" for exports side and maintained numbering scheme "ECCNUS" for imports sides then for EAR regulation
Then I need to assign as follows
    Regulation                            Import NS                             Export NS
    EAR                                     USECCN                             ScheduleB
Now my question is without defining scheduleB and I will define only USECCN then assign as follows
    Regulation                            Import NS                             Export NS
    EAR                                     USECCN                              USECCN
As per my knowledge It desn't matter which ever naem you use for NS. NS is just structure for assigning value right?
My question, does it have impact from compliance point of view for option 2
    Thanks,

  • Numbering Scheme for Legal Regulations

When we assign the same Numbering  Scheme(1 scheme) to more than 2 legal regulations,
we cannot have more than 2 Export Control Classification Numbers in GTS material master.
(We cannot have more than 2 ECCNs for 1 item.)
    We customize bellow,
    (Legal Regulation) JPACT1-(Numbering Scheme) JPECCN1
    (Legal Regulation) JPACT2-(Numbering Scheme) JPECCN1
    (Legal Regulation) JPACT3-(Numbering Scheme) JPECCN1
In this case, we cannnot have different Numbers for 1 item, if we have below,
    (Item) GTS10000-(ECCN) 1A001
    (Item) GTS10000-(ECCN) 2A001
    (Item) GTS10000-(ECCN) 3A001
    ->2A001,3A001 changes 1A001.
If we have different ECCNs for 1 item, do we divide Numbering Scheme?
    (Legal Regulation) JPACT1-(Numbering Scheme) JPECCN1
    (Legal Regulation) JPACT2-(Numbering Scheme) JPECCN2
    (Legal Regulation) JPACT3-(Numbering Scheme) JPECCN3
If you know another ideas, could you tell me the way.

    Hi,
Iam little confused as to why you want to assign 2 or more ECCN's to one product.
Multiple products with identical features and attributes can be assigned to the same ECCN's but what is the use of doing vice versa.
I know of a concept called set numbers. Number sets enable you to group tariff numbers from several numbering schemes together. You can then assign a set to a product or multiple products to classify that product with multiple tariff numbers at the same time, to simplify the classification process.
This not only allows cross-country grouping of tariff numbers but also cross application grouping. If you use several areas of SAP Global Trade Services, such as SAP Compliance Management and SAP Customs Management and SAP Risk Management for your import and export processing, you can group the numbering schemes for the relevant number types together in a set.

  • How to change scene numbering schema

Is it possible to change the numbering schema for scenes? For example a sitcom with scene letters A-L or including episode number with scene number like 1.1-1.35 and 2.1-2.25? I'm a new user and so far all I see is automatic numbering 1-10.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
You can easily assign custom scene numbers to a scene by simply clicking on that scene number.
Now for 1.1-1.35 and 2.1-2.25 as scene numbers, Go to the first scene of that episode (say episode 1)and click on the scene number. Assign the custom number as 1.1 to that scene and click 'OK' . Now go to 'Production->Manage Scene Numbers' and check 'Automatically assign number to new scenes'. Now subsequent scenes will have scene numbers as '2.2,2.3,2.4......' .
So simply provide a custom number to first scene of an episode and you will have forthcoming scenes as required.
Give it a shot and do let me know if this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Unable to update numbering schemes in define purchasing options

    Hi,
We are unable to update the numbering scheme from manual to automatic in define purchasing options (Numbering Tab). Documentation says that you can update it, but it does not give any reason under what circumstances we would not be allowed to update the numbering schemes.
    Thanks,
    Ketul.

    Hi Sandeep,
I am doing multi organisation implementation and only one ledger they do not require Inventory and Purchasing modules. Because of that i will not create any inventory organisation for that selected ledger.
This ledger will have seperate responsibility for AP.
Howver, my problem is when i am trying to complete the financial options, inventory organisation is mandatory for that responsability. Without inventory organisation i am unable to save the financial options.
Please assist me how to overcome this issue.

    Hi Maiti ,
Category modeler provides you four fields in the order type you wish to see it these fileds can be used as per your requirements and you can set a logical drop down say if A is selected in the first field then what should appear in the second & so on .
    To activate
1.Add the CRM BSP application CRMM_ERM_CAT
    2.Launch the category modeler
3.Select the advanced search and then go
    4.Create new schema
5.keep the status in general tab as draft,go to application area and select the service ticket(where you want to see it).Go to categories tab
6.Here you create a sub note say product
7.create a subnote to this which will appear in the next field when product is selected in the first....and so on.
Now once the logical seq is set ,go to general tab and set the status to released. It takes 24 hours for the schema to be active .Once it is active you can see the fields in your application area

  • Numbering schema in Product Hierarchy reg

    Hello Experts,
We are implementing CRM 7.0, as part of the initial load we had downloaded DNL_CUST_PROD1 from ECC. But after replication we came to know that the numbering schema for Product Hierarchy is not 5,5,8 but changed to something else. When I tried doing the changes to numbering scheme, it is giving some error.
We havenu2019t created any Products or any master or transactional data.
Can you please help me in understanding how to change the numbering scheme and re-do the intial load.
    Thank you.
    KK

you missed to save it .
Dont maintain node 1 , 2 and 3 in one go.
Maintain your 1s then save, maintain your 2s then save, then maintain your 3rd level.

  • SEQUENCE OF NUMBERING SCHEME IS TO BE CHANGED.

    Hi All,
In iProcurement contracts we have the possibility to use numbering schemes.
After defining a numbering scheme we are able to use the defined scheme, when we define a
contract template. When we activate the
renumber button, the contract terms are numbered according to the chosen (defined) scheme.
The present numbering is like this:
    Headsection A
    Part 1
    Part 2
    Part 3
    Headsection B
    Part 1
    Part 2
    Part 3
But we want to change this to
    Headsection A
    Part 1
    Part 2
    Part 3
    Headsection B
    Part 4
    Part 5
    Part 6
iProcurement Super User -> Setup : Contract Terms -> Numbering Schemes
    Product Version 11.5.10
Could any please suggest a workaround for thsi issue .

    Amol,
You would have to " Back date" the uninstall date and time as well. The Oldest date that you could have here has to be greater than the "end date" of the Previous time segment for the piece of equipment
The current date and time is always defaulted for Uninstall and Installation process, You would need to manipulate the same. You will not be be able to change the dates of the old time segments once a record has been created.

  • Hierarchy R3PRODHIER does not have a numbering scheme

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to download customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1.
For this i have already maintained numbering scheme in the customizing path
    Cross Application Client/SAP Products/Product Category/Define Category Numbering Schemes/
Upon initial download queue status is system fail and i get the message as
"Hierarchy R3PRODHIER does not have a numbering scheme"
    Regards,
    Rahul

    Hello,
1.The ID of Numbering Schemes you've created is same as PRODHS on ERP?
2.Check the GUID of scheme guid in COMC_SCHEME and COMM_HIERARCHY are identical of not. If not, there is inconsistancy between these tables. Delete the hierarchy by report program:COM_HIERARCHY_DELETE_ALL and excute initial download again.
*this standard report is useful but little bit danger because all of the product hierarchy will be deleted. Use it carefully.

  • Version numbering scheme?

I know captivate doesn't automatically handle version control and I'm OK with that.
However, we're starting to talk here about the schema for version numbering.  That is, what constitutes a 2.0 release opposed to a 1.8 release?
In my former life working at a software production company we had very specific criteria that dictated if it was a 1.x.x release or a 1.x.x.x or what have you.
I'm curious if others are using version numbering schema and how are you determining what constitutes a change in which spot?
    thanks

For what it's worth, the versioning scheme was a technical decision.  After surveying large amounts of content on the web, we realized that there was a lot of Flash detection logic in the world that was going to break when we moved to 11.10.xxx.xxx. (12.0.0.x isn't completely without consequences, but it's better)
The roadmap that we publish is the best indicator of what new functionality is in the pipeline:

  • Partmer schema assignment Doubt ......

    Hi Gurus,
    I hv a doubt/query,
1.Partner schema is assigned to Account group,
as All the PO, having vendor with that account group will get the partners from partner schema.
2.Partner schema is also assigned to doc. type of po.
As all the POs for that doc. type will get the parters from partner schema.
but if I have done both of the seeting i.e. assign partner schema to account group as wll as doc. type of po.
then, which partner schema wil be pulled ?
and what happen, if I will assign diffenent partner schemas in account group and doc. type,
then to whom the system will give priority ?

    Hi Himanshu,
Apart from the said partner schema. You must have to maintain the schema group (which is defined for the respective main vendor accoung group) for vendor in the Vendor master record. Otherwise it will not pull any of the partner schema that you have configured for the vendor.  And thats how the schema group for vendor master will workout.
Eg. this schema group for vendor master is always when a vendor is having its own specific pricing procedure. then we have to go for schema group for vendor.  And system will always look for the schema group that is assigned in the vendor master. If it is not there (say for eg. blank ---)  then it will pick default pricing procedure/calculation schema (that is RM00000 - which is pricing procedure - purchasing Big) for calculating the pricing for the material/goods when it is ordered (that is while creating the PO for the respective item).
    Hope it clarifies you.

  • Permissions issue - schema assignment?

    Hi,
Running application express 2, Oracle 9i (I know!)
I'm looking into using apex as an alternative to crystal reports for some of our staff, they only use crystal to generate xls documents so apex should work fine for them. However I'm running into a permissions issue, most likely due to my lack of understander of how workspaces and schemas really work together.
We have some internal tools written in APEX which I don't want these new developers to be able to mess with, so I've created a new workspace called "crystal", I've also created a schema "crystal_apex" which has been assigned to the crystal workspace. This schema/user has been granted select access on the various tables it needs to access in other tables via a role, "crystal_role" (this is pre-existing and gets granted to anyone who needs to log in via crystal).
So, if I log into sqlplus as crystal_apex, I can happily run queries against the tables this user has access to via the role, however, access via the SQL Commands tool, any sql run against tables not in the crystal_apex schema fails. Even if I add another schema to the workspace, I can only query against that schema by changing the "schema" dropdown in the SQL Commands tool. If I do switch to using the other schema, the workspace now has full access to that schema, something I do not want, the crystal users have a very restricted level of access.
Is it possible to query/create reports against schemas other than the one apex is connected as? If not, how can you do any cross schema queries (something very common in our database). I'm sure I have done this before in our other workspace, however I cannot recall how I set it up.
It seems if I grant the rights directly to the schema (apex_crystal) rather than via a Role, then the permissions work fine, however only the schemas explicitly granted in apex show up in the query builder/object browser. Is there any way around this, or is this different in newer versions of apex?
Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Since this is a somewhat related topic I am cross posting from another thread.
I have successfully made a policy using dbms_fga, however am having trouble viewing the audit view based on dba_fga_audit_trail. I had the dba create a view based on the dba_fga_audit_trail limited to my schema--call it 'my_audit_view'. So she granted all on 'my_audit_view' to 'my_schema'. She also did same grants to my userid in Apex. I still cannot see the view in the Workspace -- 'table or view does not exist'. What does she need to do to make this audit view available to an apex user in this workspace? Does the grant actually have to be done to apex_public_user (hope not)?? It is interesting that I was able to create the policy from the Apex workspace SQL Worksheet:
    begin
    dbms_fga.add_policy(
    object_schema => 'my_schema',
    object_name => 'my_table',
    policy_name => 'my_table_audit',
    audit_condition => null,
    statement_types => 'insert, update,delete');
    end;
And she showed me that the view does exist and shows the inserts, updates I performed subsequent to the execution of the above, but I cannot run the view myself at this point within my Apex workspace -- which has only 1 schema -- 'my_schema'
Secondly, assuming I get beyond this issues of being able to see the view as a developer, if I want to create a report based on 'my_audit_view' in an application that an 'admin' type user can run on a page in an application (assuming the authorization is set up for the page), is there some other security step that has to be done to make audit view available to the application report??
    Thanks,
    Pat
