    Hi Maiti ,
Category modeler provides you four fields in the order type you wish to see it these fileds can be used as per your requirements and you can set a logical drop down say if A is selected in the first field then what should appear in the second & so on .
    To activate
1.Add the CRM BSP application CRMM_ERM_CAT
    2.Launch the category modeler
3.Select the advanced search and then go
    4.Create new schema
5.keep the status in general tab as draft,go to application area and select the service ticket(where you want to see it).Go to categories tab
6.Here you create a sub note say product
7.create a subnote to this which will appear in the next field when product is selected in the first....and so on.
Now once the logical seq is set ,go to general tab and set the status to released. It takes 24 hours for the schema to be active .Once it is active you can see the fields in your application area

  • No categ. schema assigned to applic. area(SERVICE_ORDER, SUBJECT_PROFILE, )

    Hi SAP CRM experts,
I'm working on SAP CRM 2007 with interaction centre web UI - Service
    Tickets management.
I'm encountering a problem with multilevel categorization:
let suppose that I identify an employee, the Interaction record is
created, than I create a service ticket as a follow up from it. The
    multilevel categorization works correctly.
Then I end the interaction by clicking on the button end under the
    Header Area.
The current interaction ends and I'm able to identify a new BP: the
Interaction Record is correctly created. Now I create a Service Ticket
as a follow up from the Interaction Record. In this case, the
multilevel categorization schema is no more available and an error
message is displayed by the system.
    What should I do?
    Thanks in advance,
    Andrea Ricci

    Hi Andrea
Would you be able to share with the Forum how the issue was resolved.

  • Steps to use Classification w service tickets- No categorization schema

I have been searching SAP help  & SDN but no luck figuring what steps I need to do to use the classification in the Service Ticket.
    1. I used the category modeler to create a 2 level schema.
1a. schema assigned to busines activity ticket in application area, parameter = subject profile, Value = ZACT00002.
    1b. status is released
1c. in the categories I assigned to a catalogue / code group / code ZACT00002 (as set up in the IMG - Catalogues, codes, profiles)
2 I assigned the DEFAULT categorization profile to my IC profile (has service allowed to 4 levels)
    3. I don't have a service product assigned but not sure I need one (nor know how to assign one)
But when I confirm a BP, the error message > >>>
No categorization schema assigned to application area (BUS_ACTIVITY, SUBJECT_PROFILE, ZACT00002)
& go to service ticket, the classification field is still empty.
Would appreciate if someone could tell me what I am missing.

    Hi Glenn
The Status of the Schema should be active. You can set a Date & Time From (and To) which the schema is valid for.
Normally the default from date is set for 24 hours time, which means you wait till the schema is active before you test, however you can change this, I usually set it to 10 minutes in the future.
That is probably your main issue at the moment, once the Schema is "Active" you should have more luck.
You will need to create a Product for "Service", called INVESTIGATION. Wihout this product you'll be dogged with product related errors.
Before you create the INVESTIGATION Product you'll need to ensure a Hierachy and Category exist which the Product can belong to. I think the Best Practices guide will help you with this.
If you get stuck further, drop another hit.
    Good Luck.

  • Categorization schema moduler

    Hi expert,
We are upgrading 4.0 to 7.0.  On Service Process and Confirmation screens, the older version is using Subject Code while in new we would need to use Category (multilevel).  The conversion schema is supposed to be created in Moduler in WebUI but I don't see it in anywhere as we are not using Knowledge Management in ICW (I saw a post talking about in ICW with KM).  Can you shed some light on where I can access the moduler? What role is required in case needed.
    Thank you in advance.
    Steven

    Hi Steven
Heres how to create multi-level categorization:
    1. Login WebClient using Business role IC_MANAGER.
    2. NavBar > Knowledge management > Create > Categorization Schema
    3. Application area > New >
    Application ID = "Service Order"
    Parameter = "Subject Profile"
Value = Select your Subject profile.
    4. Category Hierarchy > New > now on the right side select subject code from drop down
    5. Repeat step 4 to Create the required levels, sub levels and assign them subject codes.
    6. Now select the root (Schema ID) and on the right change valid from date 5-10 min in future.
    7. Change the status to Released and save.

  • Categorization Schema overlaps

    hi everyone,
I'm creating a new categorization schema.
When i insert in application Area "service order" and subject profile "SAP Standard Damage" it returns a me an another schema, in schema per Application Area, because the system have found another schema with the same subject profile.
Now i have in application area two schema, so when i switch to status "release", i have obviously the following error message: "Schema overlaps with released schemas in application area (SERVICE_ORDER, SUBJECT_PROFILE, SERVICE)".
How could i delete or deactivate the old schema found?
    Please Help me!
    Best regards!
    Virginia

    Hi Virginia
Create a new version of the schema you want to remove.
Set the activate and end date of your schema to be 1 minute apart and release.
The new version with then deactivate after a minute which should allow you genuine new schema to be released shortly thereafter.
If you need more assistance let me know.

I am trying to create a draft version for Categorization schema from active version, active version has subject codes assigned at last level, while creating a draft version these subject codes are not copied to draft version. Please suggest.

    dear friend,
    1. select the 'Active' version and hit New
    2. edit your new cat. schema ; goto General Data and set Valid-From Date and Valid-From Time, also set Status 'Released'
    3. 'Save' your new schema
await for that date/time (you've just set as Valid-From), log in to WebUI and check it out
    good luck!

    Hi
What you are experiencing is SAP standard behaviour for an Active schema.
Once a Schema is made active you cannot modify the dates for that Schema.
For your new Schema Version set the Date and Time for when you wish the Schema to be active, best idea would be to set this to 5 minutes in the future. When this new schema becomes active your current Schema will be deactivated.

  • How to transalate a categorization schema?

    Hello,
i maintained a categorization schema for my service requests.
I used catalog and codes customizing. This customizing is translated from german into english and french.
But if i open my webclient UI in english i have still the german categorization in the dropdown fields.
I think i have to translate my categorization schema, right? How can this be done?
Is the translation transportable via transport request?

  • Transprot Categorization Schema

    Hi Experts,
Can any one please explain how to transport multi level categorization schema from one client to client?
Step by step would be really of great help..
    Regards
    Vinod

    Hi Vinod
For CRM 2007 and beyond these are the steps:
First you need define the RFC connections that are to be available for importing schemas in Customizing by choosing Customer Relationship Management > CRM Cross-Application Components > Multilevel Categorization > Maintain RFC Destinations for Schema Import.
Here you maintain the RFC destination of the source system. So if you want to import the schema in Q system you need to maintain RFC for Dev system.
Make sure that the linked objects of a schema exist in the target system before initiating the import. So you Catalogs, Codes, Code profiles, Subject profile etc should exist in the target system.
The user should have general authorization for import activities (authorization object CRM_CATEGO) in the source system.
Once the above steps are completed your import button will be active in SAP CRM WebClient UI menu > Knowledge Management > Create Categorization Schema.
Alternatively, you can also import schemas by running program CRM_ERMS_CAT_AS_IMPORT in transaction SE38.
    Hope it helps

  • How to use one application with multiple schema without copying application?

    Hi,
Previously we are using oracle forms and by that we can manage by using a set of folders containing fmx and use different schema/database for different customers. so the source code comes from one individual file but used for different database users.
is it possible to do this without copying application in apex?
reason is because if applications are copied for each customer, and in a situation where a page has a bug, the developer must correct multiple pages across all the application. This would not be appropriate to manage.
could this be done in apex? or is there any other approach?

    Hi,
An application is tied to its parsing schema, so it is not possible to have one code base which you can then point to different schemas. I have seen some threads relating to dynamically setting the parsing schema, but I don't think it has worked to well, and would not be a supported configuration by Oracle.
The normal way to do this is to have one schema and for each entity where it is logical you will have an extra key which is the customer id. I mention where it is logical, because not every entity needs its own data defined by customer. Some data will be common across all customers, such as lookup data and some entities will comprise child entities by which the data separation will be implied by the parent. You can then use Oracle's Virtual Private Database feature to implement a seperate view of the data through the application, based most likely on the customer who is logged on.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
    Andre

  • Assigning an application to different sound outputs

Question: Is there a way to assign an application to use a sound output options in the mixer or another Win7 application?
I have installed Win7 RC 32bit.  I have headphones and speaker outputs on my system.  Both are detected and both can be assigned to a working default sound choice.  I am unable to assign an applications sound output to a certain outputs or change them.
The only way I can make a sound application work through the speakers if the headset is assigned the default role is to go into sound management, then assign the speakers to default and then restart my application.
Desired: I would like an application profile to default to the assigned role from the mixer.  The settings could be permanent or temporary.  If the 1st choice is not available, use the alternate working or (default).  The sound should dynamically change or at the very least keep that profile with that application until changed.
In the mixer, I should be able to rt click on the application in the mixer and manually assign it to a sound device.  This option should be assigned to a default target to play ONLY if the desired is not available.  Possible options can be, just one time, or have this device handle sound if available.
Hardware:  Asus Rampage 2: Gene motherboard, 6GB Ram, GTX 275 graphics, Seagate 1.5TB.  Drivers auto discovered on install and appear to be functional.

    Hi TKCDAC,
As you may noticed, great improvements have been made in Windows 7. Applications can realize Stream Routing via the new Core Audio APIs. Windows 7 has the ability to distinguish between communication devices and all other audio devices. It is now possible to have both a Default Communications Device that is separate from the Default Audio Device. The Default Communication Devices will be used for PC based communication like web chat or VOIP, and the Default Audio Device will be used for everything else. Stream switching enabled dynamic stream switching based on the default device. If the default audio device is disabled or unplugged, Windows automatically tries to determine the next default audio device and will dynamically redirect the audio to that new device.
For instance, if you would like to play the audio via headphone when using communication applications such as Windows Live Messenger, we can simply right click the volume icon in the system tray, click Playback Devices, right click the headphone listed and then choose Set as default Communications Device.

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd756612(VS.85).aspx
    http://louisgale.blogspot.com/2009/08/live-messenger-and-default.html
Also, based on my test, certain application such as Windows Media Player has a sound output option. To change the settings, please open Windows Media Player, click Tools, Options, click Devices tab, double click Speakers in the Devices list, pull down the Select the audio device and then choose the device you would like to play the music from Windows Media Player, click OK. We may play another song in the play list to take effect.
In the meantime, I will forward your suggestions to our Product Group. Please be assured that any improvements in the product are based on users' requirements.
    Thanks,

  • How to sort on category id using categorization schema in SAP CRM 7.0

    All,
Currently we are using categorization modeler within CRM7.0 for complaint transactions. It seems that the sortation with respect to the categories which have been defined within a categorization schema, is based on the date that the categories were created (as per sap note 1423480). A business requirement is to have the categories sorted on category id instead of creation date of a category. Does anyone know how to implement this?
    Regards, Sander

    Hi Marianne,
By standard this is not possible.
SAP recommended to arrange the desired sortation via BADI: CRM_BWA_MFLOW.
We will start implementing this in the upcoming weeks.
    Regards, Sander
