Eclipse "selection does not contain main type" - but it does contain a main

Hi!
I'm having a strange thing happen to me when using the eclipse IDE in a macintosh envirnment.
I imported a project, complete with package, and all of my classes. and when I try to run my main class, it tells me "selection does not contain main type".
Which is entirely untrue, the class I am trying to run contains a public static void main(), does anyone know what's going on here?

the class is quite large, I don't think that it is a problem with the class, because it runs fine on my windows based pc (also in eclipse)...

BO XI 3.1 Windows Server 2003 x64, XP Desk tops with a mixture of IE6
and IE 7.
We have a universe with managed access rights enables at the group
level. The groups we have are: Batu, AUS, and Admin. When someone logs
in as TEST_USER_BATU (user is in the Batu group) the report does not
refresh. The LOVs can be refresh but the report comes back blank. When
we repeat the same work flow in IE7 the report comes back with data.
We have repeated this test on several computers including the servers
running IE6.
Steps for Reconstruction
1)Create Universe with managed access restrictions
2)Restrict groups at the row level including LOVs (see below example)
2.a) Batu Group
2.b) AUS Group
2.c) Admin Group
3) Create restrictions for the Batu and AUS group only.
4)Create generic WebI report applicable for all groups
5) Run WebI Report using a different account for each account in
different group.
6) You will find that the users in the restricted groups can not
refresh the report but the user in the admin group can run the report

@Mark, Sahil: The properties of the field is set as type "DATE" in the universe.
@Manpreet: Not feasible with timestamp data.
@Anuj: I tried your solution. But it does not work. Its really weird. The date part of the string gets sorted but the time part does not. I have tried splitting the data into date and time into 2 seperate variables and then sorting them, but still the time does not get sorted. The time is also converted to 24 hour format. I have also tried removing the blanks in the data between date and time and converting the same to number. No effect.
Any other ideas?

I seen a few references to things like this in the forum over the past couple of months but no real solutions. Maybe it's a small bug affecting a few lucky people, but obviously not widespread or we'd see tons of posts.
I suggest using the right+click reveal in Finder command to reveal the actual files. Delete the entries in iTunes without deleting the actual files, then add the files again by dragging them to iTunes. Let us know if this works because I'm sure others would like to know.
If it doesn't work, I wonder if there is some characteristic like somethng in the labels that is causing iTunes to not enter these in the library.
Another thing you could try first is restarting iTunes and see if it's just a matter of it not properly refreshing its listing.

Firefox 4 does not support AVG Safesearch but IE9 does!!! Why?

I decided to install Firefox 4 but it does not support AVG safe search or it's very useful link scanner, so for safer browsing I have reverted back to version 3.6.16.
However Internet explorer 9 from MS supports AVG! I accept that AVG ought to release a new version, but why can Microsoft continue support in their completely re-vamped browser and Mozilla cannot, since all my other add-ons were still compatible?
For reference I am running on Win7 home premium Sp1 64bit, AMD Phenom IIX4 N930 CPU @2.0Ghz , 4GB DDR3 Ram and an ATi HD5470 512MB Graphics Card.
In conclusion, it would be fantastic to see Mozilla tweak the settings (if possible) to allow AVG safe search to work with Firefox 4, Until then I will go on using 3.6 and IE9 from Microsoft.

Close Firefox 4. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\AVG10\Firefox and open install.rdf in Notepad. Change 3.6.* to 4.0.* exit and save. Done.

My webpage does not show on Firefox, but it does on other browsers

I have a personal website, http://www.kryshu.com that I have created myself on Dreamweaver. I have 7 pages and all except one appear on Firefox. Everything was fine until a couple of months ago when I updated some of the pages, again on Dreamweaver. All of a sudden my 'Portfolio - images' page does not show anything. It is empty - blank. It had text and images. I reloaded several times but each time the 'Portfolio - images' page is blank.
This happened only on Firefox. On Internet Explorer and Chrome the page works fine.
So, I presume the problem is with Firefox. What should I do?

The content is on the page, but is shifted down considerably.
Looks that this is caused by a simple typo: height="790%" instead of height="790" for one of the tables that causes all content to get shifted down.

CS4 Design view does not render CSS correctly but browser does !?!?

I am designing a layout using primarily CSS. I want to insert a table inside one of the div's. In design view the table gets pushed way out of position but in live view and on the web, the page looks correct. Why? Am I missing something in design view?

This glitch is making it difficult to add content to the table.
I tried to edit the page with Contribute CS4 and the table gets pushed so far out of position that it is impossible to access it. The page looks fine when I am connected but as soon as I try to edit it does not render properly.

This question comes up almost daily, and I dont recall seeing an answer that is much different. It comes down to that it does not matter what DV shows, it is the browser view that counts. How frustrating it is to spend time and effort to correct a view in DW Design, only to find out it throws your browser view all askew. Its hard enough to make x number of different browsers all look good with however many screen resolutions, to worry about something that in the end does not matter.....
Work more in code view, let F12 be your companion.

TOC in merged slave project does not find the page, but Search does

I have a slave CHM file, where the TOC is non-binary. This is
merged into a master project, which also has a TOC that is
non-binary. When I view the merged project, just from RoboHelp, the
TOC includes the slave embedded properly in the master TOC.
However, clicking on a TOC in the slave products "The page cannot
be displayed". If I go to the Search tab and enter something to
search on that will bring up a topic in the slave project, then
select that topic, the topic's page is displayed properly, and if I
click back to the Contents tab, the TOC has sync-ed properly, but
still, if I click again on the same topic on the Contents tab, I
get "The page cannot be displayed" again. It seems that the TOC is
not decoding paths properly. Any ideas?

Merged project pages are listed in the TOC but will not
display when selected? But a Search for these ‘missing’
pages returns viewable results? You have a minor problem with your
TOC settings. Follow the procedure below to solve it:
1. Open the master project that references the external .chm
files.
2. Click the Project tab.
3. Open the Single Source Layout folder.
4. Right-click Microsoft HTML Help (Primary Layout) and
select Properties.
5. Click the Advanced button.
6. Select the TOC Styles tab.
7. Alongside the Default Window section click the drop down
and select <Default>.
8. Ensure that any previously generated .chm files are
deleted using Windows Explorer before regenerating your Primary
Layout.
Open and delete the files from the directory specified in the
Select Output Folder and File Name text box in the Properties
window attached to the Microsoft HTML Help (Primary Layout) (see
above).
9. Generate your Primary Layout.

My ipod nano does not appear in itunes but it does appear in my computer

New-virtualdisk does not create tired storage, but gui does.

I'm trying to create a Storage Pool with a virtual disk with tierd storage.
Got 2 SSD and 2 HDD.
Created my pool and then I'm trying to create a disk using my ssd and hdd.
$ssd_tier = New-StorageTier -StoragePoolFriendlyName "SnabbPool" -FriendlyName SSD_Tier -MediaType SSD
$hdd_tier = New-StorageTier -StoragePoolFriendlyName "SnabbPool" -FriendlyName HDD_Tier -MediaType HDD

The Disk gets created, but it's not tierd.
If a use the GUI i can create a tierd disk but then i only get 1GB of cache...and i want to do it with powershell.
Anyone seeing an error in mylines ?
One thing i think is wierd is that if i run a get-storagaTier after new-storagetier i get nothing returned.

Do you mean that you cannot get any storage tier when you run Get-StorageTier command? Is there any error message in the Event Log? Please run the command “Get-Storagepool -FriendlyName SnabbPool | fl” and “Get-VirtualDisk -FriendlyName TierdDisk1| fl” and
post the commands output.

Media requested does not match media provided - BUT IT DOES?!

I'm trying to build an installer for my application. It requires NI-CAN and NI-DAQmx.
The installer requested to know the location of the install media for both packages. I downloaded the NI-CAN 14.0 installer, let the archive self-extract, and then pointed the application builder to the folder that NI-CAN 14.0 self-extracted to. It was happy with that.
I did the same thing with NI-DAQmx, but now I get this bizzare error message - bizzare because it claims the requested and provided media descriptions do not match, but they clearly do!
What is happening? How do I fix it?
The closest thing I could find searching in the knowledgebase was this link: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/830B0370F5314BF586257E0F0078884D.
However, that link said that the problem was different language packs - as far as I can tell, everything on my system is (and should be) english.
I downlaoded NI-DAQmx from this link: http://www.ni.com/download/ni-daqmx-14.0/4918/en/
I tried downloading the run-timeNI-DAQ instead, but it didn't like that either.

That is indeed a strange issue. I'd recommend trying different versions of those drivers, specifically starting with the most recent versions. It looks like a possible corruption in the driver.

Can get GavelSnipe onto/into Firefox and have it bookmarked. When you cut and paste an Ebay item number into GavelS and enter your max bid and ask it to be sniped, GavelS reverts you back to the sign in page and when I return to the input screen the details I last entered have not been recorded. Just loaded the same screens in IE8 and its carried out the functions perfectly

Received unexpected message type does not match expected type

1.Two Biztalk Applications A,B one for sending the request(A) and other application will send the response to A.
2.I have two schema Request and Response in Aplication A which i have exposed as webservice.
3. Application B share the same response schema .
I am using WSBasicHTTP sysnchronous ports to send and receive the message.
WHen Application B send the response , i get the error "unexpected message type does not match expected type "
but i dont know why i get such error when the schemas are share by both application. Please advice

Hi Suresh,
Whenever you are doing request-response like calling web service etc, i would suggest to use Passthrough pipeline while sending and use XML receive for receiving the message.
Because when you are sending the message out it doesn't needs any promoted properties so you can use Passthrough this will avoid extra Assembling/Validation etc tasks performed by XMLSend pipeline.
But when you are receiving response that time it expects MessageType property to be promoted because normally you will have receive shape configured to some Typed Schema. So you will have to use XML Receive pipeline.

You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

I just reinstalled the OS 10.4 onto my G5 using the erase and install function. The drive is formatted as a Mac OS Extended (Journaled), which is an HFS+ format. I'm trying to copy some files onto the main hard drive from a DVD. I keep getting an error message that says "[the file name] cannot be copied to the destination, perhaps because the destination does not support this type of alias." I researched the message and the only thing I could find was that the error appears if the destination disk is formatted as a UFS disk. I thought maybe I made a mistake when I reinstalled the OS, so I tried to copy the same files to the secondary internal drive and to an external Firewire drive, and I got the same message both times.
What should I be looking for so that this will work? I'm going to post in a couple other topics, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was trying to make back-up copies of my Adobe CS2 disks by copying the disks to the hard drive then burning them to CDs, but I got the error message when I dragged the contents from the original CD to the HD.
This worked, but it took a while: I Stuffed each CD to the HD, then unStuffed them and used Toast to burn a new CD. A few steps longer, but at least it worked.
Now, if I could only figure out why the second internal drive does not have the "Ignore Permissions" check box available, I'd be all set.
