ECM - Review Planning / Planning Overview (Compensation Approval)

Hello Experts,
I am looking for a resolution to a problem I am encountering when using MSS -> Planning ->  Review Planning (Compensation Approval) (mss 1.4, ep4).
when launching the review planning webdynpro the following error messages are displayed:
A fatal error has occurred. Please inform your system administrator
No compensation review is assigned to your user
The user is a chief, and is also a higher level chief from the original chief who submitted the planning.
I have experiemented with the spro setting for User Interface Settings -> Define Attributes for Planning Overview
where the all Org. Units have Eligible Employees has been tested with it checked and unchecked.
additionally we ran the report for the respective org units to Prepare Organizational Units for Compensation Planning (RHECM_PREP_ORGUNITS_FOR_PLNG)
Please let me know if you have any ideas?
Best Regards,
Michael

so figured out the root cause of the problem and why the checkmark "Org units have elgible employees" did not work originally.
when running the report it is trying to find org units based on the compensation review effective dates.  In our case we left the end date of the review as blank.  this new report does not like blanks based on the way it selects the org unit.
make sure you have an end date for your review in table V_T71ADM08.

  • MSS---Compensation----Review Planning Approval Status Problem

    Hi All,
I configured MSS Compensation Review Planning successfully, i was able to see my reporting structre in Review Planning iView properly.
I am having my organizational structure with five level approvals.
Whan i was submitting Compensation plan for my employees as an first level manager it went to higher level for approvals. as an higher level manager i rejected what ever the lower level manager was submitted for approvals. The status "rejection" was updating fine in infotype 0759 without running any reports.
again i submitted for approval as an first level manager to higher level manager for approval, this time i approved as an higher level but the "Approved" status is not updating in infotype 0759.
We are facing this issue with all level managers.
This is the first i am configuring MSS EHP4 Compensation Review Planning.
If any one facing this issue and having solution, please provide the proper solution.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Steps to configure Planning Overview iView in MSS.

Need help with steps to configure/implement Planning Overview iView in MSS. I have done necessary configs in Define Attributes for planning overview in Customizing for ECM in R/3.
I have worked in ECM ECC 6.0 with employee based approval processes and now working on enh package4.
    Thanks

    Hi Vivek,
Thanks for taking time and answering. So, how do I integrate the Org Chart iVIew with these Position Profile and Organizational Unit Profiles pages? We do not need all the iViews that come with these pages. We only need the following
    Position Profile
    - Employee Group/Subgroup
    - Holders
    -Organizational Unit Profiles
    -Organizational Unit Search
    -Position Holders
    Thanks

  • Comp Planning  -  2 Level Approval

Hi comp gurus ( I am coining a new Variation of Guru here ),
    System Landscape
    ECC 6.0
    ECM  ( Enterprise compensation Management)
    EP 7.0
Currently we have deployed the Enterprise compensation management module. We have a standard compensation scenario where the comp planners use the comp planning screen( Via MSS) to perform the comp planning and the comp approvers, use the comp approval screen to approve the planned(submitted) compensation.
But we have a slightly different scenario where we want to have 2 levels of approvals before the comp record is set to 'Approved' status in IT 0759.
Let me explain it in detail
Lets assume that we have Manager A who is the manager of B, B  is the manager of C and C is the manager of D.
C performs comp planning for D. A record is created in IT0759 for D in planning/submitted status. B can now log on and approve the comp planning/submitted comp records by C. Here we do not want the planning record to set to "approved" status when it is approved by B. But we want this to go to Manager A who can then give the final approval and only then should the record in IT0759 status be changed to Approved.
The matters gets more complicated by the fact that, the comp planners and approvers see the data(in MSS) based on OADP and not based on any workflows. Obviously I cannot create a new status for the IT0759 records. Based on your experience what is the best way to handle these scenario.
    Any suggestions
    regards
    Raj

Santosh I really appreciate your inputs.
I just think that this approach would bring in a lot  of enhancements
I would have to change the underlying FMs to trigger WF rather than the IT0759 "status" change FM. Build WFs. Change OADP "status" update FM, and other changes which I may get to know when we start designing the solution if we go this way. But I would (infact am) surely consider this option. But I will be really suprised, if I will have to go thsi route. Adding another approval level seems to me a pretty common requirement and if this involves a major development and maintanance effort, the clients will not be happy
Can others also please provide your inputs here.
    regards
    Raj

  • Review Planning "Status" column result text change

    Hi SAP HCM experts,
we are on EhP4 , and we have Manager Self Service 1.41 and on compesation side we are using Review planning iView (WDA),in Review Planning iView we have Status column with list of result like "New","Open", "approved" result based on the status, do we have any option to change this text like new, open, approved
    I appreciate your help.
    Thanks and regards
    Vijai

no, do not change these status unless you want to break the application.  no flexibility here yet that I am aware of.
entire application / processes is driven off these fixed statuses...

  • Review your billing info and approve it

I recently changed my credit card. I updated my account with the new info. iTunes works fine, but when I order prints from iPhoto, I get a error "Your account information has changed. Please Review your billing info and approve it. I click "OK", go to Account Info, sign it, approve all three categories. However, I still get the error when I try to order prints. Any ideas? TY.

For the record, an email response from Apple gave these instructions, which did work:
"I understand you are having some difficulties with placing your print order and you are receiving a message saying that your account information has changed. I apologize for any frustration this may have caused you.
I would like to recommend taking the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
    1) Please go to store.apple.com/.
    2) Select "Account" at the top right hand corner of the page.
    3) Click "Login", and enter in your Apple ID and password.
    4) Click on "Change account information".
    5) Enter your password at the top in both the "Password (at least 6 characters)" and the "Retype your password" fields.
    6) Make sure the primary and shipping address information is correct. If not, make changes.
    7) Scroll down to the bottom of the screen to the "Method of Payment" section.
    8) Remove your credit card number, then click on "Continue".
    9) Open iPhoto and select "Buy Book".
    10) Click on "Account Info" (or "Set Up Account" if "Account Info" is greyed out)
    11) Enter in the same Apple ID and password you used to sign in to the Apple Store.
    12) You will be prompted to go through three different steps to enter in your billing information.
    13) Submit your order."

  • Please review your billing information and approve it

PLEASE help me before I pull out my hair!  I have a photo book I've created in iPhoto 09.  It's ready to be ordered (in-time for Christmas!) and no matter what I do, it comes back with a "please review your billing information and approve it".  There are two things in this repeated (at least 20 times) process that I find interesting 1) every time I re-enter my account info, it says I have an invalid city, state zip code combination and 2) when I try to check out my preferences in iPhoto it freezes up (spinning beach ball) and I have to force quit.  Here's what I've done already:
    1. restarted iPhoto
    2.  restarted computer
    3.  re-entered billing information in apple store
    4.  enabled one-click purchasing and express checkout options in apple store
    5.  trashed iPhoto preferences
    6.  deleted my keychain preferences
    7.  re-entered account info in iPhoto
    8.  double-checked that I choose United State
    9.  Changed credit cards and tried all the above over again
I'm out of ideas.  Someone PLEASE help me figure out what is going on!

every time I re-enter my account info, it says I have an invalid city, state zip code combination
The zip code error suggests you are ordering from an Apple Print Products Store in the wrong country.  Your Billing Address, Shipping Address, Credit Card, Apple ID must all be valid in the same country as the Apple Store is you are ordering from. Is the region setting in your System Preferences > Language & Region the same as the country of your Billing Address and Shipping Address?

  • Book Error: "Please review your billing information and approve it."

Hi, I'm trying to purchase a book I created. It's 34 pages, with as many RAW images. The whole process seems to go fine until the end, when it spits out a dialog saying my account settings have changed, "Please review your billing information and approve it."
I have erased and reset my account with different credit cards with no change. This is incredibly frustrating, and this is intended as a Christmas present, so I really need to resolve this. I've spent several hours on it already and need some help here in resolving it.

Success! I figured it out and just got it to go through! The fix was to set my billing preference to "express." It was set to standard, and I kept manually changing it to express in the order to get here faster. Apple might want to make a note of this so their customers don't get frustrated when they try to spend lots of money with Apple. Also, phone support for people struggling and pleading to spend money probably makes good business sense in this economy.

  • Compensation Approval (ECM) - Error calculating salary (HRECM00MASTERDATA)

    Hello,
We have setup the MSS ECM Compensation package for Planning and Approving. It works fine until we try to approve the compensation plan.
We get the error message "Error calculating salary", message class HRECM00MASTERDATA - Activation of Compensation process, Salary Calculation.
All the relevant customizing steps have been undertaken, master data has been properly populated in the respectuve infotpyes 0008 etc, we are even able to run a payroll for this employee, without issues !
We have searched the OSS but nothing relevant has been found.
Has anyone come across such as case ?
    Thank you for your input,
    Regards,
    Martin

    Hi ,
We have a similar situation here. Can you please help me on this?
We have a production issue while running the extractor 0HR_PA_EC_01. We are able to load data using this extractor into an ODS. But at the end of the job we are getting 'Extraction (messages): Errors occurred' in the details and job is ending with status red. So we are doing activation of this failed request in the ODS manually everyday in the middle of the night and repeating the next process so that the process chain can go forward. At present I'm working on trouble shooting this issue. When I run RSA3 it looks good and passing no messages. When I do 'DISPLAY MESSAGES' the follwoing messages are displayed:
    Errors: RED
    ' 05/27/2008 16:41:38 Reference salary of John Doe is zero on 15.05.2008 HRECM00MASTERDATA 13'
    ' 05/27/2008 16:41:38 Error calculating compa-ratio of John Doe on 15.05.2008 HRECM00MASTERDATA 14'
    Warnings: YELLOW
    ' 05/27/2008 16:41:38 Warnings have appeared when extracting data R3 401'
    Messages: GREEN
    ' 05/27/2008 16:41:38 Data packet 000001 had 2 records selected for it RSM 335
We informed our HR users about the above errors and they said the data looks good and it should be zeros for the above said employee. Bottom line they are not going to change anything on R/3 side. They are asking us to handle on BW side to skip such type of errors.
I tried my best in various places and I'm not getting any clue on how to handle this situation. Can you please throw some light on this situation? I would like to know what program on R/3 side or BW side issues these type of errors and how to skip these errors? Can I use user exits or tranfer rules or update rules to handle this situation? Is there any table to read such type of messages? What are different programs that run while extracting data from R/3 to BW and the flow or order?
I would really appreciate your help on this.

    Seenu

  • ECM-Compensation Approval

    Hi,
Im facing trouble with ECM Approval screen in portal.
When I choose certain employee and click next , I get the following dump.
I noticed that this error occurs in certain employees because of the following reason. Explained by example
In the planning window, a manager has for e.g 4 eligible employees under him, he selects one employee out of 4, clicks next and completes the planning, hence, submits only the selected employee for approval.
Now, when the next level manager opens the approval screen, he can see all the 4 employees. The error comes when I select the 3 employees who are not supposed to be displayed there.
I believe that the error is because ALL the employees are sent for approval even if the manager does NOT select & send them. System is at this point trying to find out the planning information, and since it cannot find any, its giving me the dump.
The 3 employees who are not selected during planning should NOT go for approval in the first place.
I don't get any error for the 4th employee for whom I plan and send data for approval.
    Unable to figure the cause.
Can anyone help me fix this please.
    Regards,
    Pranitha Chaitanya

    Thanks Krishna.
    I got this resolved.
The program was unable to get the payroll frequency from the employee data, hence was giving error.
We passed required code in the Z Functional module and got it fixed.

  • ECM Architecture Planning

    Hi Guys
I have an architecture question regarding WebLogic or the reuse of WebLogic admin servers related to a new ECM environment.
We have a WebCenter environment which consists of a Development, Test, and Production. All running on Weblogic 11G, each environment (Development, Test, and Production) have its own WebLogic admin Server (3 WebLogic admin servers). We are planning to install a Development, Test, and Production ECM 11G environment. Should we reuse the current WebLogic admin servers we have for the WebCentre environment to also administer our ECM environment or, should we have separate Development, Test, and Production WebLogic admin servers for the new ECM 11g Environment? I am not sure which option is the correct way?
    Hope I make sense…
    Regards

    Hi
    Thanks for the reply...
We are undergoing a System Renewal project for a University and are busy renewing their old systems with Oracle Products. It is big project and the various teams are implementing peoplesoft, SOA/BPEL, WebCentre, OID/OVD, ECM, and some other components all at the same time. Most of the above are running on the old application server except WebCenter and with the plan in mind to upgrade all onto WebLogic we are going to end up with a lot of WebLogic admin servers. I was just wondering whether we should reuse those WebLogic admin servers or if it would be better not to?
We will be using all of the components inside the ECM suite so it’s a complete install. High availability is very important so we definitely going to install clusters in the test and production environment.

  • Capacity Planning Overview

    Hi Friends,
We are facing problem in Capacity levelling and evaluation.
We have make to order scenario in process industry.
We have five material haveing one material characteristic in common that is "Shade".
We execute the MRP and system is generating 5 different plan order.
In the receipe for the above plan order's , there is one resource ( Dyeing Vessels ) common in which all the above plan order will be processed at a single time.
Capacity for this common workcenter ( Dyeing Vessels ) to process all the above material at a time is say 8 Hrs.
But in capacity evaluation/levelling , it show ( 8 Hrs x 5 plan order ) = 40 Hrs. But the actual capacity is just 8 Hrs only.
Is there any way to group all the above capacity at material level ? Or some other solution so that we have capacity utilization of 8 Hrs rather than 40 Hrs.
    Regards ,
    Upendra

    Dear ,
Total available caapcity of any resource or work centre will be basically
Standrad Available caapcity ( End time -break time -start time )  * Capacity Utilisation of the resource (less than 100% or 90-95% based on the work centre periodic usage at the floor )*No of Individul Capacity
As you are in pricess industry , then you must have  resource which is working 24 hrs with Utlisation of 90-100 % with out any  break , then you hav available caapcity of 22-23 hrs  .Or 8 hrs per shift so total 24 hrs .
In that context , you can dispath all the planned order in CM21 based on the available capaty and scheduling .
If the Planned orders are having same master recipe  , then you can check the Overalpping Required functinality in Master Recipe as like Routing in discrete .
Check my posting on this theard : Orders Overlap in capacity levelling
