Ed.Lab build fails on linux
I'm trying to install the 8.1 Ed.Labs environment on linux. After running the install.sh, I get the following error. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hi,
I got quite the same error when recompiling the CDC 1.3 for Tornado (was on Win2k) :
C:\cdc-sun\cdcfoundation\build\vxworks>make CPU=SIMNT CDC_DEBUG=true
../share/rules.mk:209: ../../build/vxworks/generated/empty.mk: No such file or directory
... mkdir ../../build/vxworks/generated/javavm/runtime
! was unexpected at this time.
make: *** [../../build/vxworks/generated/javavm/runtime] Error 0x1
I have MKS running so, I should be more or less in the same situation than you with Linux... If you get any clue, I would be grateful to get them ...
You could even mail me at [email protected]
Thnx & bye

Nikal linux kernel 2.6.11.8 build fails
I am trying to install nidaqmxbase-1.5.0-f2, but the install keeps failing. I tried installing with a stock FC3 kernel, but the build has failed. I have since tried again after building a stock linux 2.6.11.8 kernel, but I get the same error message. The "warning: `packed' attribute ignored" in particular is one I haven't seen before.

I found the answer to my question in another thread:
http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=250&message.id=11286&requireLogin=False
It appears that NI-KAL doesn't like the 2.6.10+ linux kernel due to a change in the API. Both the kernels I tried were 2.6.10 plus.
Perhaps in the next release if nidaqmxbase the latest kernel will be supported? Hint, hint, pretty-please from a paying customer. ;-) -
PKIX path building failed Jdeveloper Windows vs Linux
Dear all
I developed an application using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.0. This application has a WS client (developed using the Jdeveloper wizard).
The strange part is that in Linux I get a "PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target" error, but in Windows the client works perfectly. The complete error message is below.
I did some research, and I found that I should import some certificates for this to work, but then again in Windows I did nothing like that.
Any idea?
Thanks a lot

I guess the browser did not prompt and ask for acceptance of this, because it was already verified through one of the standard issuers - VeriSign.
So was then able to export the certificate through IE's Properties>Certificate>Details>Copy To File...
Will then try to import this into the correct domain on the WebLogic server.
(A quick test of the web service from the EM console worked fine. Strange then that executing the service through a partner link in bpel does not work, but I guess it may have to do with a local bpel being exposed as a web service in itself, and that security on both sides is called for... maybe... :-) )

Thanks a bunch for your quick response...
So, just to be sure about what I need to do:
1.- From the setDomainEnv.cmd I need to remove the part that reads -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=%WL_HOME%\server\lib\DemoTrust.jks...
2.- In the Keystores tab found in WebLogic Console Home > Summary of Servers > AdminServer(admin), change the Keystores current value "Demo Identity and Demo Trust" to the "Custom Identity and Java Standard Trust" option found in the dropdown box.
I have a doubt in number 2... Do I have to do this only in the AdminServer or I have to do it in both, the AdminServer and my ManagedServer (soa_server1)?
Again, thanks for your help, this error was driving me crazy! -
When I create an EJB Transport Business Service, after selecting the jar that has the EJB 2.1 artefacts (Remote, Home, etc) the oepe plugin fails and can't continue.
As I understand it seems that there is a problem with the classpath of ant build.xml that oepe creates inside folder /tmp/alsbejbtransport/ to compile the bs and generate the wsdl. I checked if tools.jar is in the classpath (in eclipse) and is included, so I can't figure out wich is the problem.
I found this in Oracle, but not helps solve the problem:

Description

Build Fails for Alsaplayer in ABS
Hi all,
I couldn't get alsaplayer to run in GUI mode, but I found this thread that had the answer: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=42168. So I followed the ABS wiki's directions for setting up ABS and I tried to run for alsaplayer (with the one line change in the PKGBUILD) , but the build fails after configuring. Here's the full console output:
aclocal.m4:14: error: this file was generated for autoconf 2.61.
You have another version of autoconf. If you want to use that,
you should regenerate the build system entirely.

I figure it's those 2 errors in the middle of make that are holding it up, but I don't have a clue how to fix it.
thanks,
progrockIf you know how to write a patch or feel like learning, put one together, file a bug report, and submit the patch with it. If you don't feel like writing a patch, just submit a bug report that says that app/ContolSocket.cpp needs "include <climits>" to build. Either way is good.

[SOLVED] conky-lua build fails due to toluapp package issues
I am trying to install conky-lua from AUR on 64 bit Arch and failing miserably.
When running the following:
yaourt -Sy conky-lua
I get the following error:
/usr/bin/ld: /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/4.4.2/../../../../lib/libtolua++.a(tolua_is.o): relocation R_X86_64_32S against `.rodata.str1.1' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC

make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
==> ERROR: Build Failed.
Aborting...
Error: Makepkg was unable to build conky-lua package.
I have read through what search results I can find on the topic (both here and via google) and have attempted to remedy the situation by adding build options to the toluapp build to provide for the conky-lua build. I have tried this by adding CCFLAGS = '-fPIC' to the scons call in the PKGBUILD file, I have also tried editing the config_linux.py file, which sits along side the main build file, to include the -fPIC switch also, which doesn't work either. i.e. I have this in the config_linux.py now:
CCFLAGS = ['-O2', '-ansi', '-Wall', '-fPIC']
Which doesn't work, it results in:
==> Validating source files with md5sums...
tolua++-1.0.93.tar.bz2 ... Passed
config_linux.py ... FAILED
==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!
Error: Makepkg was unable to build toluapp package.
Can someone help me through a build as I have never come across scons before and maybe I am providing directives to the toluapp build incorrectly? I am still thinking in "make" terms...
I NEED lua in conky
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Kaivalagi
Last edited by kaivalagi (2009-11-11 07:32:04)I was asked by email on what exactly I did to get conky-lua installed and working on 64bit Arch, so I thought I would post my reply below in case it is of help to anyone else. Cheers
Run "yaourt -S conky-lua". Amongst other things this will try to install a dependancy which you need to mess about with, the package you need to edit is "toluapp".
When the "toluapp" package is downloaded by yaourt answer y to the edit question and provide something like gedit or kate as the editor to use
You'll now see the PKGBUILD file in the editor, this doesn't need editing just yet. But if you open file from the editor you'll see the directory thie PKGBUILD is in, and you want to edit the config_linux.py file you'll see there.
You should see this line in the config_linux.py file:
CCFLAGS = ['-O2', '-ansi', '-Wall']
Change it so it is like this:
CCFLAGS = ['-O2', '-ansi', '-Wall', '-fPIC']
Now, back to the PKGBUILD file, you'll see this line:
md5sums=('100aa6907b8108582080b37d79c0afd7' 'bab107cdd2d18d3453a2344341b77c45')
These checksums line up with tarball and config_linux.py files, and this will stop you're edit from working if not amended because the .py file isn't what it should be, we changed it. So run md5sum against the .py file and update the second checksum in the line appropriately.
Carry on with the package installation and conky should have lua support

Does anyone know of a solution? virtualbox works great, but doesn't support TI's MSP430UIF FET, which is why I'm trying out vmware.

Hi, I'm taking the CDJ-310A - Developing Applications for the J2EE Platform course and have run into a problem when issuing a call to asant. When I run asant test the message it gives is "Ant could not find the task or a class this task relies upon.".The errors I get refer to the junit package.
I've check the CLASSPATH and it seams ok:

At the end of the install process, OUI says the installation was fine, but it's not what the installActions log says...
What do you think of that?
Thanks in advance.

Edited by: user10975061 on 28 mai 2009 05:42Hello,
We did go further into the installation process, but we still got this same old error at the end (after more than 6 hours!!!)... :((
Checking the processes status at the end of this installation, we can see the oc4j_soa server and HTTP server are Stop and Down which is not good:

Help, please? Thanks.aesiris wrote:Did you add dbus-core inside releng/packages.* ?
If yes, remove it and leave only dbus
No, neither of them were in packages.i686. I even tried adding dbus to that file to see if it would help, but it didn't change the error message.
It seems like archiso is installing some core files before it installs my custom packages, and maybe that is where the problem lies, but I really have no idea. -
[build failed] meterbridge (hence jack_capture)
Hi,
I tried to install jack_capture, who depends on meterbridge.
Alas, bukd of meterbridge fails :
main.o: In function `main':
/tmp/yaourt-tmp-calou/aur-meterbridge/meterbridge/src/meterbridge-0.9.2/src/main.c:137: undefined reference to `SDL_Init'
/tmp/yaourt-tmp-calou/aur-meterbridge/meterbridge/src/meterbridge-0.9.2/src/main.c:138: undefined reference to `SDL_GetError'
/tmp/yaourt-tmp-calou/aur-meterbridge/meterbridge/src/meterbridge-0.9.2/src/main.c:176: undefined reference to `SDL_SetVideoMode'
..... etc etc. (full copy paste below)
I do have SDL and SDL_image installed
(I have early any SDL "extra" package)
I googled bit, found http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums … _id=260057
bot no solution
sdl-config --libs answers : "-L/usr/lib -lSDL -lpthread"
I tried to download original meterbridge tarball, but the result is not better (even worse I'd say, as compilation fails telling :
"vu_meters.c:11: error: static declaration of 'buf_rect' follows non-static declaration").
Any tip/help would be appreciated !

==> ERROR: Build Failed.
Aborting...
Error: Makepkg was unable to build meterbridge package.I had it work but.. I don't know what I did
I commented out the line in /etc/makepkg.conf :
#LDFLAGS="-Wl,--hash-style=gnu -Wl,--as-needed"
because it's the origin of the only differences between the config.log resulting of a "manual ./configure" and the makepkg one.
(to tell the truth I copied makepkg.conf, edited it, and used makepkg --config)
now that's weird... but works

[Solved] Cairo-Dock Build Failed
Im trying to get cairo-dock up and running but keep getting the message that the build has failed. Tried both manual and with yaourt with same results.
Im still wet behind the ears with this kinda thing so any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

applet-mixer.c:286: error: too many arguments to function 'cairo_dock_build_dialog'
and it stops right after that, any thoughs?

Mesa 7.0.3 build fails
Hey everyone,
Recently I acquired a new system and installed arch on it (as a linux-only gaming box), and built everything from the ground up using makeworld at first and then building my necessary packages (minimal X install and libs, etc). However I've run into a little problem while trying to build mesa from the main ABS tree.
Here is what happens during the compile:

I'm building mesa on a completely fresh system, and doing so exclusively using ABS/makepkg from the main abs tree - I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Your help would be appreciated
Thanks@Snowman, thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I tried your suggestion and tried to build the package from the PKGBUILD but it still does not build - it stops compiling at the very same place as it originally stopped.
