Edge animation to show full width once in muse

I created a responsive edge animation and was under the assumption once imported into muse it would behave the same which is no the case, how can I acomplish edge files to extend 100% width? is this something possible?

Sorry to say but there's not much going on between the two camps, Muse and Edge A that is. Like you, I subscribe to Muse but since I discovered EA...well...
Thing is, dragging the aimated button to the trigger container just overlays it which effectively hides it. Hence, it will simply not work as a trigger to launch lightbox. I myself had the same idea....but its more involved that this. As always.
A possible solution might be to design your lightbox and simply use the built in trigger for now - go ahead and publish the site like this. View your site in a browser of your choice then click on the trigger which will reveal the URL that launches the Lightbox feature. Copy this in the browser. Cheeky eh?
Then go back to your button in Edge A (select it) and add an on click event handler (look for {} to the left of the element and select click event). Using the snippets on the right-hand plane choose add URL and paste the link from the clipboard between the " " so when the button is clicked it references the lightbox. Go back to Muse and position your edge button again and publish again. Its very long winded I know. Get it? Will it work? dunno. Have I tried it? no. But the logic is faultless, because the URL trigger on your button should point to the lightbox...thats the theory anyway.
Hope this is of some help and hope it works...might as well give it a try eh?...this is how I discovered Edge A trying to animate buttons etc. In the end I decided to build my entire site using it.

Edge Animation not showing up on server?

I put my Edge animation into Dreamweaver and it was working, but when I uploaded it to the server, it wasn't showing up. I uploaded all of the Edge animate assets for the animations in the Site Root folder. What files are needed for edge animations to upload successfully when they are placed in Dreamweaver?

I inserted the .oam fie that I published from Edge into Dreamweaver. I got it to work finally, but the slideshow takes a long time to load or sometimes doesn't load. I've never used an iframe before, would that be a better solution?

Edge Animation having troubles with iOS devices within Muse Site

Hi All! I've been creating a mobile version of my website www.rinkdesigns.com and have it all complete. I created an animation/navigation bar within Adobe Edge Animate and imported it into Muse. It functions AMAZINGLY on my Nexus 4 (Android) in Chrome but on a buddies iPhone 5 Chrome only loads about 3/4 of the animation/nav bar, in Safari the animation does not load at all and half of the page background does not load either. Has anyone else been having animation/mobile troubles with iOS devices? Any hints as to how you fixed your errors would be extremely helpful! I also posted this question in the Muse forum and haven't gotten a response...

Does anyone know how to have Edge Animate objects that utilize "_top" in an open url trigger make the Muse site that they are a part of open a new window/tab with that action (as opposed to having it open the url in the current page, or using "_blank" in the trigger)?

Adobe edge animation shows unwanted vertical scrollbar in firefox only

anybody have any idea how to lose a vertical scrollbar on a site where i built a responsive adobe edge animation. on all the other browsers the overflow: hidden works perfectly. only in firefox do i get a scrollbar showing up. little help please. the website is http://www.drotardesign.com/dd/about.html

got it - this is how you get rid of it, and thank you Moses for your kind words. Corel was right, these are the attributes that fix it. You need to load it as an iframe
just so you know, the only way to get rid of the scroller in Firefox is to load the RESPONSIVE ADOBE EDGE ANIMATION as an iFrame with these attributes:

Edge Animation plays only after page refresh in Firefox

There is an issue with animation playback in Firefox (I have the newest version - 27.0) - it works only after page reload or if you go to another page and come back to the home page.
I've saved Edge animation as .oam package and placed into Muse. My animation is floating clouds right above roof on homepage.
When I open html generated by Edge Animate in Firefox it works perfectly at once.
Please help!

Same FF version here, your page loads fine here, upon first visit and subsequent visits.
Have you tried clearing out browser cache; restart FF then reload/revisit your page.

Edge animation does not visible on Business Catalist

HI,
I made a simple Edge animation, published as .oam and placed in Muse, when previewing in browser form Muse, the animation is visible, when publishing to Business catalist, it is invisible and Button with ! Report Abuse apears where the animation should be. What is the reason, what am I doing wrong?

I spend some time creating a edge animation that extends 100% the screen come to find out once in muse it doesnt work as previewed in edge, can you guys add this feature I think this 2 programs combined are very powerful they just need to comunicate better.

Full res retina iPad and Edge Animation issues

OK So I have been building folios for the new iPad (retnia) and the only way I can get a full page animation built in edge to work is to build it on a stage that is half res (1024x768). If I build a full screen edge animation (2048x1536) it just shows a blank screen on that page on the iPad. Anyone have any tips on this? The folio is built at 2048x1536. So when i place a 1024x768 oam file I have to stretch it and use "scale to fit". Although the animation works like this it is not as pretty as the full res pages that follow. Ideas?

Alright. So I did a bunch of testing. Good news is that text created in indesign looks identical in quality regardless of if the indesign file is 1024 or 2048 when using PDF as the folio format. Bad news is that images (i.e. placed psd files) look not as great. Definantly better than when i was trying to upscale in folio Automatic from 1024 to 2048 but not as good as a indesign file created at 2048.
Wish there was a way to solve the image quality issue. Oh and of course all the Edge animations work like a charm using PDF and 1024. They still are not as sharp or high quality as Edge animations built at 2048 but at least they work.

IOS7 xcode5 Edge Animations won´t show on iPad

Hi,
i´ve just updated my development ipad and xcode to ios7 and xcode 5.
The app i´m developing uses webviews to display content – which includes images and edge animations –
embedded in one html-file using iscroll.js to swipe through (one page ould be an image, the next a Edge Animation,
separated in <li>-elements).
The Edge-Animations won´t show up, its just a blank page. However the iOS-Simulator shows everything correctly
but on the ipad the Animations just won´t show. Is this a known issue?

i´ve been on vacation – sorry for the late reply. The problem is solved, well partially.
I´ve had an error in the export-settings, which turned out not to be the problem after all, but first this:
Sorry, its the german Version. I´ve had the Framework via CDN-Option activated, which obviously could not work
if your ipad has no wireless-connection at all. You could image my embarrasement, once i´ve figured that out
But, after exporting all the animations again, this time with the right settings, it still didn´t work. I solved i with
a little trick – i´ve inserted a SIM-Card, the ipad loaded the framework and then it still worked after removing
the card again. I don´t know how the caching within an App works, but i´m a little bit confused by the fact, that
it didn´t work without the SIM-Card after replacing every Animation. But i´m confident that it will work out
somehow later in this week, i keep you posted.

Full Screen Slide Show and Full Width Object Odd Behavior

This look slike a bug to me. It happens in both the shipping version and the new native beta version of Muse.
I made a full screen slideshow. Put a full, browser-width rectangle at the top of the page for the Nav Bar. Rectangle is 75 pixels deep and touches the top of the browser.
Preview in browser, all is well.
Now, put a horizontal menu on top of the rectangle and set it to be also 75 pixels tall. Preview in browser and the full-width horizontal rectangle disappears. Make it not full-width, and it comes back.
If you can't re-produce this, I can post my page on Business Catalyst or send a file to Adobe.

By default iWeb resizes your images to no more than 800X600. They playback in a window.
If you want viewers to see the full size images you want to make a "Photocasting" page.

Thanks for the response. I am familiar with Pinning and Slideshow Widgets and have been using Muse since it's inception, what I don't understand after watching one of the videos in which Terry White mentions FullScreen or Browser Width using the Slideshow widget and as Jason Bibby at the top also mentions, I have not had any success using any of the SS Widgets again to acheive this effect. Pinning the SS Widget to the top of the Browser does just that and does not stretch images within it to fill the Browser Width even if you get inside the widget to expand an image so that it snaps to the edge of the Browser still does not do it regardless of weather its pinned or not.
I've had to jump into DW to get this done - in combination to using Fluid Grid, which I had rather not but so far so good, at least its responsive and not having to create twice in the case of Muse. I love Muse for its simplicity, being able to whip up pretty much any design in no time is sweet, but having a SS that stretches Browser width is a common trend and I'd like to see it integrated into Muse and if it can be done now as the video shows then how?
If you know how to do this in Muse could you please show us how?

How make adobe edge animate file full screen in adobe muse?

I have created a responsive webstie so far and i want the edge animation i created in edge to be fullscreen in muse... I made it to resize in edge but in muse i scalled it to the whole size of my website and in preview it looks off and in browser it looks off and small. can anyone tell me how to make the edge animate slideshow i created fullscreen in muse? would it be better to import the html as a iframe object and right the code for it to be resized

Well, I'm not sure how you went about it, but the way I did it was as follows:
I looked at the width and min height of my page in Muse, and made a canvas in Edge Animate of that exact size. I think it was like 960 px by 500 px. Can you show us an example?

Full width characters

I have a web application in which users can type any data. During testing I noticed that I can change the input language and select Full Width Japanese or Half Width Japanese as my input language. I typed in the english letter 'A' using these both and was surprised to see that I had to use linguistic comparison to retrieve the two records having the letter 'A' .
I am interested in understanding this more. I read the article NLS_Lang and Webservers explained(Note:229786.1). As per that, any thing typed in a web application is of the character set of the ANSI code page, which in my case is 1252. Then the browser converts this to the character set of the web server, in my case UTF-8, which once again gets converted to the database character set based on NLS_Lang.
Are the characters in full width and Half width truly different characters (encoding). Are there any articles that I can read to understand these characters more.

Actually, anything typed on current browsers on Windows NT/2K/XP/Vista should be in Unicode UTF-16. The browser will convert this data to the character set (encoding) of the HTML page. (Side note: My tests show that characters not representable by the page encoding, will be escaped using the &#<code>; notation. Many applications are not aware of this and store such escape sequences in DB columns.)
Regarding A and full width A - these are indeed separate characters in East Asian character sets and in Unicode (UTF-16, UTF-8). The full-width A is considered to be so-called compatibility version of normal (halfwidth) A.
The distinction between both A comes from old era of character terminals. On such terminals, a normal A occupies a rectangular position, which is taller than wider. A fullwidth A occupies two such positions, which together form a square. The square form corresponds to conventional proportions of Chinese (Han, Kanji) characters in East Asian typography and it has been adopted for screen display.
As Unicode codes of both characters are different (U+0041 and U+FF21), standard comparison based on binary codes recognize them as non-equal. Linguistic multilingual definitions with MCI suffix should recognize them as same.
