EDI 810: Basic Type /NFM/INVOIC02,LIFNR and ROUTE Field

Hi Sap Guru,
When EDI 850 has been trigger, the sales order has been get created with IDoc. In IDoc we are getting LIFNR (vendor at customer place) as shown below in segment E1EDKA1 WE. But the same thing is not getting reflected at EDI 810.
So please help me in this..... and also ROUTE field is not getting reflected in same EDI 810.
I hope you will help me to get out from this asap.

For the customer invoice EDI, the vendor number is not same for all customer. Each customer will assign a vendor number to the company. Hence you may need to go with user exit to populate the data.
For route, I am not sure why customer is looking for route in billing document. Route mostly used in delivery related documents. So if a field is not available for route in IDOC INVOIC02, then you need add a Z-segment to populate the route value. Discuss with an ABAP'er for solutions.

Need basic Help - SG300 with vlan and routing

Hi,
i need some basic help with configuring vlan/routing.
Situation:
DSL Router - Cisco 300 - XenServer
192.168.1.253 - 192.168.1.19 - 192.168.1.10 (mgmt ip)
goal is, to reach from inside xenserver vms the internet.
vms = 192.168.2.x
gateway ip = 192.168.2.1
what i did:
- configured vlan 102, tagged, with the xenserver port
- configured on xenserver a network with vlan id 102, attached to the vm
- this network is conntected to an external bond
- configured ipva4 interface: vlan102 - Static - IP 192.168.2.1 (this is the gateway ip of the vms)
- automatic configured IPv4 Route: 192.168.2.0/24 next hop 0.0.0.0, Directly connected
So at the moment i cant ping from inside a vm to the DSL Router (192.168.2.2 to 192.168.1.253)
any ideas what i misconfigured or whats wrong?

Hi Tom,
ok, that make sense. I can ping the router now inside vms from 192.168.2.x network.
But i cant ping external adresses, error: Destination net unreachable.
My other problem i have, i cant reach any server from outside over router portforwarding.
How do i have to configure the upload port to the dsl router? Is it a access port or a trunk
port with all vlans (tagged or untagged?) At the moment ive a tagged Trunkport with all vlans.

Message category INFREC and Basic Type INFREC01

Hi,
Do any one know how to send a material condition record to other SAP system through ALE.
I am trying to find what what is teh Message tye used to send.
I am using the Message category INFREC and Basic Type INFREC01 to send info record, however it is not send A017 and KONP entres of info record.
Please let me know if any one know Basic Type which containes A017 and KONP table fields

Several content types and default field value

Hi!
I have a document library with several custom content types (derived from standard Document type). One of them (CT1) has field with default value. Other content types must not contain this field. And when I upload document, this field has no default value.
If I make CT1 first (and default) content type in a library, default value appears. Also it works when I add the field to the first content type. But in my solution CT1 must not be the first content type in a library and the field must have default value (and
other content types must not have this field). Does anybody know how to make it?

I understood why default value does not work. When we upload document to a library and then see a form with fields, it's not a newform, it's edit form. So when we upload a document, it gets first (default) content type of the library, only default fields
from this content type are filled. The solution here to fill default fields from other content types is to write itemadded event receiver.

What is message type, basic type and logical message?

I have a question with EDI.
What is message type? what is basic type? what is logical message?
I am a bit confused. I appreciate your links that you may provide, but even if you can brief me in a few sentences, that will be great.

A Message type indicates the type of business document that you are trying to transmit or receive.
A BASIC type is the IDOC type, which is the actual document that is being exchanged. A message type can be associated with different IDOC types and depending on the requirement you can choose the appropriate one.
A logical message is nothing but the message type.

Seeburger help required for Supplier Invoice (EDI 810) and Dispatch Advice

Hi All,
Pls let me blog/steps for scenario for Supplier Invoice and Dispatch Advice using Seeburger.
For Supplier Invoice I assume R/3 will send data to Vendor (810).
1. Pls let me know for R/3 to XI will we use INVOCE IDOC?
2. Pls let me know for R/3 to XI Communication do we will use same Distributiion Model setup?
3. Pls let me know what Seeburger BIC modules I need to use in Seeburger AS2/File Receiver Adapter
4. Which Interface and Adapter I need to use for 810 and which Interface and Adapter I need to use for 997.
    Pls send its setup with its Mappings defined in Modules.
5. What is Disptach Advice? Is it also same like Supplier Invoice ? Does it also have EDI Number and if yes then what?
Pls send me blogs for the above Supplier Invoice and Dispatch Advice settings.

YOu have to login to the Physical box in which XI is installed (Take Basis Help.
In one of the drives, you will find a folder called seeburger.
Inside that folder, you can browse to find the XSD structure for your 810 .
YOu will find different XSDs for different versions of 810.
Suppose your EDI 810 version is 4010, then you have to use the XSD for 810 4010 version (There will be separate folders for each transaction set/version combination.
It will be there also in the software CD that seeburger provides when you buy it.

No need of split 997 in outbound case. In this case, you will send the 810 and the partner will send the 997.
So, to receive that 997 file, you need another scenario. You need the split 997 communication channel only in inbound case like in 850, but not in outbound case.

like I said earlier, it is an outbound document if your company is the vendor.
It will be inbound if your company is the Customer to some other company.
The IDOC that is used usually will be DESADV idoc.

IDOC question on Message type and Basic Type - Partner Profile

I am wonder if I can post any IDoc question in this right forum/module. If not please direct me to the right forum/module. I am a newbie in IDOC setup.
My question is about the setup of Partner Profile creation (WE20).
When creating a new partner, for example with partner type LI, I notice there is outbound parameter and inbound parameter.
Questions:
1 u2013 It makes sense to have only one message type record appear in EITHER one of these two tables. I notice that some partner in my system has message type record exist on both the inbound and outbound parameters table, why system allows? What is the business rational?
2 u2013 May I have a list of standard SAPu2019s Message Type object of its usage description, and its allowable Basic Type (ie. IDOC TYPE). Basically a website to describe their (i.e. Message type and its Basic Type) business usage.

Below are my thoughts,
There is a partner sing partner type LI. This partner in the WE20, has one record (i.e. with Message Type ORDERS) exist in the Outbound Parameter table. This partner also has 4 records (i.w. with Message Type DESADV, INVOIC, MBGMCR, and ORDRSP) exist in the Inbound Parameter table. So my question is what is the business rational behind this kind of setup. Because I am confuse when come to create a partner profile, whether I need to create a message type in Inbound Parameter table or Outbound Parameter table, or I need both.
OK, so looking at the above example, you have an orders message type(This is for creating an order) in the outbound, this means that you are sending out an IDOC(purchase order for ex) to this partner, so that this partner can create an SO in his system and fulfill your order.
Now you also, mention that you have other four Message types for the same partner on the inbound, now let us look at the above scenario, you have asked your partner to fulfill the order, i guess you would like to get a confirmation from him/her if the order was created or not in his/her system and how and when is he/she going to fulfill your order requirement. This he/she does by sending an response to your order - ORDRSP.
And when the partner is ready to ship your order to you, he/she sends out a Advance Shipping Notice - ASN via the IDOC of message type DESADV.
Finally and most importantly , he/she will send you the invoice - INVOIC for the order.
In general, you interact with your partner via Business Docs - Order, Delivery, ASN, Invoice etc, so whatever document come from your partner - ORDRSP, INVOIC etc will be on the inbound profile of the partner. Whatever docs that you send ORDERS, ORDCHG etc etc will be on the outbound profile of the partner.
2 - Bascially I would like a reference in any website that allow me to choose which message type is best use for my partner profile, so that I don't have to reinvent.
Well, there is no choice of choosing/best message type for a given requirement - So for sending an Invoice the message type is INVOIC, ORDERS - For order creation, ORDCHG for order change etc. However the IDOC type, is some thing that you can choose, for Ex: ORDERS01 - ORDERS05, these are the IDOC types that are available, so if you are interacting with a partner who are running an old version of SAP and their system has only upto ORDERS02 in their version of SAP then you would use ORDERS02.

IDOC and Basic Type

Hi Experts,
I have a basic type that I will use in my IDOC with no process codes(attached FM) that will create a document (e.g. orders, deliveries)... and I have found out a BAPI that I can use in creating the document.. the question is.. do I still need to CALL FUNCTION 'IDOC_WRITE_AND_START_INBOUND' after calling the BAPI to create the document?

Thanks. To clarify.. first I will receive an IDOC coming from XI this IDOC containes the planned orderse that I will create in SAP.
Question: Can one IDOC contains a lot of planned orders to be created? Meaning that I have created a copy of segment E1PLAFL because this segment can only acquire a maximum of 1 data record... so i copy it and customize it to acquire more than 1 data records.....?
Then the Basic Type: LOIPLO01 does not have a functionaly of creating planned orders.. so I will use a BAPI in creating the planned orders....
Question: Since I will be using a BAPI to create the IDOC.. do I still need to call the function module ive said (WRITEIDOC)?

Basic type DELVRY03 and FM IDOC_INPUT_DELVRY

Hi experts,
i have a prblem using the basic type DELVRY03 and FM IDOC_INPUT_DELVRY. on transaction we19 am passing data to the segments of the basic type delvry03 so that i can update an outbound delivery...the problem here is that when am running the FM idoc_input_delvry....the data for the first item are updated correctly, but the second item is not updated properly...for the second item, the picked quanity is not taken from the segment E1EDL24...instead, this value is added to the delivery quantity...
for example if the delivery quantity is initially 80 for the second item and in the segment e1edl24 i supply 80 to the field LGMNG...this value is not taken as the picked quantity but added to the delivery quantity and hence i get the delivery quantity as 160 and picked quantity as 0....
I kindly requset you to please help on this...

Please check whether u have given right batch number in the CHARG field..if no batch is there then u should not give any batch number...

I am in the process of customizing for inbound processing.
I have one doubt reqarding below customizing :

Hi Yogita,
The basic type depends on the version of system in consideration.
lets say for eg. HRMD_ABA has basic type from HRMD_ABA01 to 05 and they are depend on the version of the system as which to use.

hi iam having z-basic type how to find what is the standard idoc type(for ex MATMAS,Creamas) for that

Step1. Go to WE30 and give the extended IDoc name
Step2. Check the extension button and click on display
Step3. Click on header button (Top 3rd left button)
Step4. In Technical Attributes, you will get the name under "Linked Basic Type"

Idoc basic type and extension copied to new extension now how to trigger

HI EXPERTS,
I have copied a basic type and extension of idoc and now my new idoc has extension name say ext1.
my old extension name is ext .
now i want to trigger an idoc with ext1 extension ,i do not want to change idoc settings in we20.
how can i do this ,please some one reply .

I have almost reached near to the solution .i have set the message variant in we20 ,now when i trigger its generating 2 idocs
i am trying to write code in exit but in exit there there is no field idoc_mescod or idoc_cimtype

LSMW with IDOC Message type COND_A and Basic type COND_A01

in my project we using the LSMW with IDOC Message type COND_A and Basic type COND_A01 and now the requirement is to know the list of the tables which will be updated when i do the LSMW Migration with this IDOC Basic type.
i have tried to know the list of the tables updated by entering into the transaction we30 and looking at the segments E1KOMG,E1KONH, E1KONP,E1KONM,E1KONW and i found that the following below are the list of tables which gets updated when i populate the data into IDOC Message type COND_A and Basic type COND_A01.
KOMG,KONH,KONP,KONM,KONW.
please correct me if iam wrong.

Hi Varma,
The tables mentioned by you definitely get updated, i guess you can add KONV to the list too, but to be a 100% sure, enable SQL trace and process an IDOC. Then you can look for Insert/Modify/Update statements to get a list of the tables that get updated.

Differences betweEn ORDERS02 and ORDERS05 of basic type idocs.

bcoz, in my system(ECC 6.0), in WE05, I am seeing some are posted with ORDERS02 and where as some are posted with ORDERS05............both Message type is same-ORDERS.

has probably more fields then ORDERS02
the one with higher number is newer
you can find the difference in WE60 by comparing the
fields
and because ORDERS05 is the newer one, you will find it not in all R/3 releases!
So e.g. R/3 3.0 is not working with it possibly!
