EDI msg output

Hi
We are with SRM 5.0 and Classic Scenario.
While testing the whole scneario in our quality system, from SC creation to PO creation, we need to set EDI message output.
Can anyone explain where it can be done ?
Thank you
Maron

If you need to send the PO you need to configure output control and an outbound partner profile in WE20. The partner profile is for the vendor or customer, the message and basic type, and extension if the IDoc has been extended.
In the Message Control tabe of the outbound partner profile, you'll add the following line:
Application = EF, Message Type = NEU and Process Code = ME10.
NEU is the standard message type for generating output from PO's. It's already set up to create IDocs.
But you also need to make an entry into an output control table using transaction MN04 or MN05. This entry links your document to a number of different potential parameters that are used to identify the type of output that needs to be generated. It's as the same as setting up your documents to print.
But at this point I can't help you more because I don't know your system or your data. You need to get with your functional consultant to show you what you need to do to create the output record. They may also want to create a custom message type for your PO. You need to work it out with them.
Without this table entry made thru MN04 or MN05, the IDoc won't come out.
Good luck.

  • EDI billing outputs are capturing credit memos as well as invoices

I am a newcomer to the company I am currently with, and to this forum, and I have 6 years of experience in EDI and SAP SD.
I am working on a project to determine why our EDI billing outputs are capturing credit memos as well as invoices, and attempting to send them by EDI, causing failures in our Seeburger translator.  Most customers donu2019t want credit memos by EDI. My goal is to track backwards and determine what portion of the EDI process in SAP is pulling credit memos rather than just invoices.  I suspect that someone intentionally made changes in the past to put this in place, but we need to have a message type that includes invoices and credit memos, to be attached to specific partners that want this, and another more standard message type that sends only invoices.
The message control for the example partner specifies Message Type ZURH (customized by this company for some reason), Application V3 (which seems standard), and process code SD09 (which seems standard).  Could someone help me to navigate to an area where I may be able to find out what parameters are used to determine what transaction types are pulled to be sent out by EDI for billing?  I suspect that the issue may be in Application V3, but I am unable to find any help to view u2018Applicationsu2019, because application is such a widely used word.
How can I display/change Application V3, in order to check itu2019s contents?
Any other ideas why credit memos may be included would be appreciated, and I always appreciate having the transaction codes mentioned as well.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Application V3 (what specifies what transaction type this pulls?)
    Message Type ZURH,
    Process Code SD09.
Access Sequence used is ZSD1 Billing Documents (Access Sequence ZSD1 does not appear in transaction V/48 (?))
    Transmission Medium is 6 EDI.
The program is RSNASTED, and the FORM Routine is EDI_PROCESSING.

    Satish,
    Thanks for the suggestions.
I checked transaction VV33 u201CDisplay Output Condition Records: Billingu201D for Output Type ZURH, Key Combination Sales Org/Payer, and I find the example customer  linked to ZURH, as I would expect (5010013645     BEST BUY CANADA  Vendor #41448     PY          6     1).
I donu2019t see any data about specific transaction types such as credit memos or invoices, so I may not be looking in the right place.  I donu2019t find entries under any other key combination.  How would I check if Output Condition records are maintained for credit memos?
In regards to the output type being assigned to the credit memo billing type (ZG2U), Iu2019m afraid I donu2019t know how to check that either.
In NACE, I see that u2018Proceduresu2019 list the CTyp (?), and procedure US0001 is the only one that includes credits and debits. I donu2019t recognize the Ctyps ZDN0 and ZCN0. The billing type is ZG2U, which I don't see in any of the Procedures:
    10     1     RD00     Invoice
    20     2     ZPRO     Proforma Invoice
30     1     ZCAN     Canadian Cust. Inv
    40     1     ZCOM     Commercial Invoice
    50     1     ZDN0     Debit Note
    60     1     ZCN0     Credit Note
How would I be able tell which u2018Procedureu2019 is being used for Application V3, and how would I change that to another Procedure for testing?

  • EDI message output for goods movements

    Dear experts,
we configured NACE to send EDI messages, when goods movements are created. When we use partner type "VN" (Vendor) and leave the partner number empty, no message is created. Only if the partner number is filled, a message is created. This means, that the partner number is not extracted dynamically from the goods movement and we have to make one NACE entry for each partner. For other applications (e. g. outbound call offs), the partner number in NACE can be left empty and when a document is posted, the receiver partner number is determined dynamically.
Is it possible to modify the processing, so that the partner number is extracted from the goods movement? How can this be done?
    Best regards,
    David Claes

    Hi,
What is the application you selecting for creating ouput?
I don't see output record condition with as combination.
You should be using ME as application area.
    Thank you!

  • Tax conversion during Intercompany EDI (RD04 output)

We have a situation where there is an intercompany billing from company A to B - both of them are in different countries and hence follow different tax codes.   The RD04 output posts the AP document in company code B with a different tax code.    We have checked OBCD, and this does not carry any relevent config.    What else governs this conversion ?
    Many thanks,
    Sanker

    Hi E_Hinojos and all,
I went to CUNI again and under ALE/EDI, the field was already populated with EA. The solution was that I just need to check the "Primary" box under that field and the error message went away.
Now, I'm getting a new error message after simulating the IDOC again in WE19:
    IDoc number            0000000000198023
    Direction              2     Inbound
Status                 51    Application document not posted
G/L account 191100 requires a valid tax code
    Message no. FS214
    Diagnosis
The master record of account 191100 requires you to enter a valid tax code in each item for this account in company code 0001.
    System Response
    Error message
    Procedure
    Enter a valid tax code.
I've already maintain transaction OBCD with input tax codes but I'm not sure whether I did it correctly. I'd like to know how the system would know which tax code to take or choose from OBCD table? The GL 191100 under transaction FS00 allows input tax codes only.
    Any suggestion would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • EDI/ALE-Output type-Process code relation?

    Hi.
In EDI preocessing the relation between the Message type and the process code is know.
But where is the realtion of either of these two to the output type?
When we hit a F4 in the message control in WE20 for process codes it gives us a list.
    How is this linkages established.
    Output type-process code-message type-output routines?
Please dont answer in vague terms.

    Dear experts,
I am a little further now.
I used output condition WA01 which is already set up in NACE and in MN23 I set up:
In SP01 I can see the created Spool entries after creating the Good issue with ME2O. So the print out would work. But I need an EDI output....
I created a new output condition ZWA1 in NACE and set "Processing routines" to EDI.
I set "Partner functions" to EDI and LS - logical system.
    In MN23 I have:
I set Event Type to "WA" because when I look at a material document in MB03 it also shows WA:
In WE20 I have my LS - logicals system and set up the output for MBGMCR03:
What confuses me is: I have to send the EDI output to a LS - logical system. But in MN23 I can't set the LS - it gives error: "You cannot enter a partner function for output ZWA1"
No IDoc is created so far - please help. Thank you.

  • Partner Profiles for EDI message output settings

    HI,
Iam creating Partner profiles settings for Message output through EDI.
While entering data for partner type Li Vendor.
Iam selecting User Type Organizastional Unit.
& while selecting Agent no information found.
Iam getting error as Object type O, ID 50010120 unknown (please observe upper/lower case)
How can i create Id for objects types. ( how can i create Agents)
    pls help
    Regards
    Sunil

What are you trying to do?
Agents in WE20 are used for post processing of failed IDoc's.
    You can use:
    Work center
    Job
    Organizational unit
    Person
    Position
    User
If you require agents, which type do you want - organisational unit?
If you do not require post processing options - use User with your ID.

  • EDI/ALE output Post Goods Issue from ME2O

    Dear experts,
I have to create an outbound IDoc (I assume MBGMCR03) of a Goods issue done with ME2O (mvt type 541).
So far I have read through:
    http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=88113280
    http://scn.sap.com/thread/3146742
    http://scn.sap.com/thread/2056081
but they all talk about printing the message - I need to create an IDoc.
    In NACE:
    - Application "ME"
    - but which condition record can I choose?
    - output types are all set up with print parameters - no EDI/ALE as far as I can see. Do I have to create new ones?
Can you please help on how to set this up in NACE?
Next step would be MN21 for the output condition record I assume,
WE20 to define output for logical system.
    Thank you for your help.

  • EDI-Output determination

    Hi,
    Require guidence for queries -
1.For a billing doc with EDI as output medium, do we need to create partner profile for all partner functions in WE20?
2.Or simply creating one for Sold to-- partner function will work for all partner functions like SH,BP,PY even if all these partners have different no.
3.How the output is determined in EDI medium if no condition recorde have been maintained? or let me make it simpler-
Is EDI messege determination is dependent on output determination?
    Kind regards

    Hi
Dont confuse o/ps with EDI determination.
EDI determination of partner profiles and conversion to idoc using appropriate idoc processing function modules is done after o/p is proposed.
Every o/p is proposed automatically only through maintaining condition records. O/p is proposed for the customer. This can be of any partner type i.e. SP SH BP or PY.
Now while proccessing the o/p using the driver program, it will create a idoc. Now while creating a idoc it will check in WE20 for that partner any profile is maintained. This is trigerred only after proposing and processing o/p.
    Hope this helps
    Kind regards

  • Idoc Output type

    Hi,
I am using output types to trigger Idocs whenever a sales order is created or changed using EDI as output type. ORDERS05 Idoc type is triggered whenever a sales order is created/changed. But along with that outbound Idoc type, an Inbound Idoc is also getting created of type ORDERS05 which is not desired. Any Ideas why is it so?

  • Create and Handle empty msg in JMS receiver Adapter

    Hi,
In my interface scenario, I will have to create a msg output if certain conditions are met and should not create a msg if otherwise..
I am using a Graphical Mapping and the receiver is JMS. I have some questions..
    1. Using Graphical mapping, Can I create an empty msg - If I dont map the root node if the conditions are not met, what happens to the msg during runtime ?? Will it create empty payload and does it error out as there is empty payload ??
    2. Like File adapter - is there a way to Ignore empty msg in JMS receiver adapter - so that it doesnt write any empty msgs i nthe queue..
    Any ideas/suggestions/experiences greatly appreciated please...
    Thank you
    Thanujja..

    Natesa,
My bet. I am sorry I am wrong.
One thing comes to my mind is you can do a multi mapping. So if it is ok then send to one receiver and if it exception then send as flat file which you dont use.
Here since only one mapping is going to execute and the other going to fail you can write your own message exception in mapping stating "Its a know error". This is because if it is in produciton if this fails then it creates an alert. So just to tell to the end users it is ok you are populating the generic error. I know its not a good solution, but a work around kind of thing.

  • Output Type Determination

    Hi experts,
I have a requirement wherein if an EDI invoice output type is selected during the creation of the billing document, then all the remaining output types below that should not be selected. Please find below the screen shot of the output procedure used. Whether a customer is relevant for EDI output or not is based on different values provided in different fields and the business do not want to follow that approach.
Please provide suggestions/pointers to achieve this requirement.
    Thank you,

    Hi
In my opinion yes. In table NAST there will be a record ofr ZINV. Taking the VOFM 101 as a template (your EDI output is ZINV), maybe, your VOFM 901
    PERFORM KOBED_062.     "call vofm 62
LOOP AT XNAST WHERE KSCHL EQ 'ZINV' AND
                                            OBJKY EQ MSG_OBJKY   AND
                                           AKTIV EQ SPACE       AND
                                           VSTAT EQ '0'.
        EXIT.
      ENDLOOP.
    IF sy-subrc = 0.  "it was found
    sy-subrc = 4.     "output not created
    ELSE.
    su-subrc = 0.
    ENDIF.
Create your VOFM (remember the note I told you in my first answer), and change the VOFM 901 for the other output types different to EDI.
Although it's for pricing, see also SAP Note 156230 - Requirements: What is permitted, what is not?.
After, debug it and fit to your requirements. During the debugging, check how XNAST is populated.
    I hope this helps you

  • Delivery Output

    Hi Everybody,
We have a delivery output type ZASN. The output type has a requirement 1 assigned in the output determination procedure. The requirement is to make the output get determined only after the PGI has been done. We have all our Picking and PGIs done through EDI. When we do the PGI through EDI, the output ZASN does not get determined in the delivery. Surprisingly, when I do the PGI manually using VL02N, I see the output getting issued. Also for the deliveries for which the PGI was done by EDI and no output was issued, I can just go onto VL02N, five the delivery number, hit enter and just come out and my output gets triggered. Strange behaviour though.
Has anybody encountered this situation? I tried looking for an OSS note but couldnt find anything relevant. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vidya

    Hi,
I also encontered with this situation but in my situation i was creating the outboubd del and pick/pgi also through the edi and this was one after another so what we did is triggered the output type on creation ( before pgi ) . As both processes were at one time it doesnot make any difference to trigger the o/p on creation of del .But this is standard sap issue of not triigering the o/p message on pgi through the edi.
