Edit issues

Is there a list of compatible or required web browsers?
What I have been experiencing for several times now, using Firefox 20.0 (Mac OS X)
"undo" does not work, although available.
"copy and paste" does not copy the selected text, instead copying the complete paragraph.
"copy and paste" removes blank lines, when copying text from the host or within the editor.

also just now the edit reply fails to engage which i was trying to edit my post what is causing this issues ????
Please provide Kudos to whom has provided answers or
good points or advice..

    Yup. This is fully ridiculous that you can't cancel your updates once you start. I love the tool but this is on pretty significant issue.
    Sometimes I accidentally move a mtg or make some edit while viewing and you can't back you!!

  • Citrix Netscaler AppXpert with Sharepoint 2010 Page Edit Issue

    Posting this as a questions and discussion point.
    The issue is in using Citrix Netscaler with AppXpert with SharePoint 2010. I've seen this issue for two customers.
    Configurations:
    - Citrix Netscaler as the load Balancer
    - Netscaler AppXpert for SharePoint deployed on Netscaler (using either AppXpert version 1.1 or 2.0)
    - SharePoint 2010 Standard or Enterprise editions
    Issue:
    A SharePoint user with appropriate rights go to a SharePoint page. They choose Edit page, make changes and want to save changes. At this point all SharePoint ribbon options on the top are greyed out. End result, users are not able to make changes to their
    site pages. Issue happens for everyone including Farm Admins.
    Cases:
    a. The users are able to edit and save SharePoint wiki pages if I point user's PC to the SharePoint web server WFE by changing their local host file.
    b. On Citrix Netscaler, if I use the traditional load balancing i.e. without Citrix AppXpert, then the users are able to edit and save the pages. That is an option if the customer is using SharePoint 2010 Standard. That is not an option if a customer is
    using InfoPath forms. InfoPath is a feature of SharePoint 2010 Enterprise edition. Citrix AppXpert for SharePoint is needed to make the InfoPath work. Else the users get session errors when they use InfoPath Web forms.
    c. The issue happens on almost all combination of OS and browser. XP, vista, Win 7, Win8, Win8.1, IE8, 9, 10, 11 and other browsers like chrome etc as well.
    Please share your ideas and suggestions.

  • Editable issues in sap interactive adobe form

    Hi Experts,
    we are using AdobeLiveCycle designer to create the pdf form out of sap. After creating the form to interact with sap.
    When we execute the program automatically pdf will download the particular folder. In that pdf form is not an editable mode at the time. And it will change the editable mode on next day.
    so, please suggest the solution to close the issues.  
    The following error message occurs when opening this form in Reader and attached screenshot also.
    "This document enabled extended features in adobe reader the document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document "

    I created a form in FormsCentral.  I've exported it to Acrobat 10.  How can I add a watermark?  I "do not have sufficient privileges" to do it?  Same issue with header/footers.

  • Extracted punctuation and editting issues in Contacts

    I waited to install from 10.6.8 because of the many issues I saw/heard people were having, then I heard that it was fine and I installed 10.8.2 but wow, what a nightmare!
    The most tragic issue is the new format of Address Book. First of all, the new "Contacts" application is horrendous and looks like a 1988 Corel Draw design, if Corel was around back then. What gives? I've learned that if something works—Don't fix it! Who  at Apple  allowed for this to go through? The staff must have had a lot of beer and wine that day! Is Apple going to turn its OS into a kiddie book because that is what this application looks like. Please return us to our original glory; there was no need for this circumcision ("to cut, about, around, and through").
    First, it seems that there are the two duplicate file systems, but since I don't know what or where iCloud is, I am not willing to make that my primary backup site. So I have to read the manual about that.
    Here is the actual problem, when installed, Contacts actually strips the punctuation from all my emails. This means the symbol ("@") and the periods (".") in my emails. Even though I manually try to edit this, I am not allowed to make edits in the emails!
    In addition, I can no longer add  new phone numbers or entries, as one would do by clicking on the green "+" symbol. The only thing I can do, is write notes, and click on the delete entries ("-").
    I wonder why, with so many issues, Apple hasn't fixed this promptly, and/or returned to the previous Address Book version?

    Actually I did not import, I just reinstalled the new software and it automatically did that. I have tried resetting the PRAM and that didn't do anything but as soon as I figure out where the Power button is on my wireless Apple keyboard, I will try to rest the Mac Mini, which is lacking some feature, I read somewhere, so sometimes this causes problems.

  • Viewing and Editing Issues with iPhoto 09

    While I have enjoyed the new features of iPhoto 09 vs iPhoto 08, there are two differences that may be bugs or may be "new features." The first is that while viewing images within an event, the image zoom slider in the lower right corner of the window will no longer zoom an image to full view within the image browser. I only get a minimum of three images left to right. Any ideas why I can't zoom fully without opening the edit window or clicking on the image to zoom it to full screen (not within the image browser)?
    The second question has to do with editing. When I take a portrait image and open the editing window, the image is rotated into landscape mode. This did not happen in iPhoto 08. Is anyone else seeing this? If so, is this a new "feature" or a bug?
    All of all of my images are stored as RAW file format.

    For the image viewing, I'll accept that things sometime change. In fact, if you click once on an image so that it is highlighted, you can go in and out of zoom by touching the space bar, and then navigate with the left and right arrows at full screen.
    When I encounter an image that has a rotation issue in edit, I'll use Revert to Original to fix the image.
    I've been using iLife/iPhoto since they first came out years ago, and the interface generally added things, not remove them...oh, well, in iPhoto 09, the good clearly outweighs the bad. I only wish I now had a camera with built-in GPS, but I've still been having fun entering locations for all of my photos.

  • JDev 10.1.3 Preview Edition -  Issue

    The JDev 10.1.3 Preview Edition has issue with the "Go to Declaration" context command (i.e. right-click on the editor to "Go to Declaration". It does not recognize the .class syntax.
    For example, the following code will have problem accessing the isAssignableFrom() declaration:
    SomeClass.class.isAssignableFrom(obj.getClass());
    vs.
    This code will be OK:
    this.getClass().isAssignableFrom(obj.getClass());

    This is a WSDL file from a Web Service provider which we will have to uses as it is.
    Suprisingle the same WSDL file works just fine in Jdev 10.1.2. But Jdev 10.1.2 does not create all the .java files specified by WSDL.
    Jdev 10.1.3 creates all the files but does not work.

  • KM Local Editing Issue

    Hi All,
    I have a strange issue with KM local editing feature. Whenever I try to edit an PDF file, it shows an error "The download of the document failed".
    Based on the sap notes available and previous KM post, I did check the internet explorer settings and docservice dll's in system registry. Everything is in place. It doesn't show an error while doing editing for any other file types like .txt and .docx etc..
    In fact in temp folder for my machine, I can see the KM folder path created under the folder docservice. But it is empty.
    System version is NW 7.3
    Any pointers to resolve this issue is appreciated.

    Hi,
    This might be due to the fact that the PDF cannot be edited unless we open the PDF with the suitable tools like PDF editor. Portal doesn't have the inbuilt facility or tool to edit PDF. This is not in the case of text or html files. POrtal has inbuild HTML editor to edit the HTML files. Irrespective of the portal versions we have, we cannot edit a PDF file from the portal.
    It is possible if you install the PDF editor in your local machine and the corresponding plugin is added to your browser.

  • IPhoto Editing Issue

    I bought a new Mac mini, i can open iPhoto, and I can see the groups of photos, but when I try to open one to edit it I just get a black screen.
    When I adjust the zoom on the bottom left I get a really small version of the picture, but I can't get the picture bigger on my screen.
    I tried all the rebuilding options, and nothing seems to fix the issue.
    I don't have any screen issues to speak of otherwise.  I'm using a USB 3.0 Targus docking station to send to my 2 dual screen Samsung monitors.
    Mac Mini 10.10.1 with Intel Iris (Late 2014)
    iPhoto 9.6

    This is all I get.  Only after I adjust the slider for zoom on the bottom left.  It isn't adjustable, I can't make it bigger.  It's all I can see...and frustrating.
    If I don't adjust the zoom slider on the bottom, I don't even get that picture in the middle. its just black.
    All I did was synch my photo stream which is on my iCloud account.  I didn't import from prior Mac version as this is a new Mac, our first.

  • COllection Editing Issue

    I have a collection on our state K12 site (not yet published) that will not open the Feed Editor for editing content. When I click the "Feed" link, I get the framed site, but no content. I do not get any error messages. Anyone had something similar happen and find a way around the issue?

    I encountered this issue when I was prepping our site for the transition to the new Site Manager environment. Unfortunately, I could never find a "work around". The problem seems to be with the Site Manager environment.

  • Captivate 4 - audio editing issue (distortion heard once published)

    Hi -- I am working on a 17 minute movie with audio on each page (total project size about 60mb).  I recorded the audio outside of Captivate and imported the .wav files (for some reason the .mp3s sounded too tinny).  When I started the project in November I had no problem editing the files (removing sighs/pauses, inserting silences) and adding to the slides. 
    For some reason in December I started running into issues.  I would go to edit a sound file on a slide, it sounded good when played back, but when I previewed or published the sound file I just edited it would have a layer of sound on top of it making it distorted.  Also, I no longer have the ability to add silence at the beginning and end of the audio file (which I was able to do in November).  I add it in edit mode, can see/hear the pause but when I save and close out those beginning and end silences disappear.
    I just got final feedback and was making adjustments on two slides but the same thing happened.  The audio files I edited would sound distorted when played back in swf form.  The only way to save the project was for me to open an old archived version, export that audio, re-import to my production project and it worked fine.  But I cannot edit it in Captivate.  If I do, the distortion gets added.
    I am publishing as audio quality: MP3, 96kpbs, 44.10 KHz.
    Any thoughts?  I like to edit directly in Captivate and don't want to have to do the extra step of editing the audio in another application.

    Hi there
    If you want to add silence at either end, your first step will need to be to position the playhead ever so slightly away from the true end or beginning. Otherwise, Captivate ever so helpfully discards the silence. So the silence needs to be inserted between the ambient noise.
    Actually, this is a nice segue into a technique you may wish to use. Select a section of the ambient noise and paste it repeatedly. This will eliminate the "dead air" you hear with total silence. Sometimes inserting silence is one of those - "the cure is worse than the disease" sort of things.

  • Unable to edit issues list once items are created

    Hello,
    I have been trying to do a standard edit to an infopath from to a Project Site Issue list.  I want to add the ID to be visible on the form.  However, on any issue list that already has items in the list, if I try to publish the InfoPath form, I
    get the following SOAP error: "The SOAP response indicates that an error occurred on the server:   Server was unable to process request. ---> A duplicate field name "Category" was found."  
    I have tried the following: 
    Checking for duplicate fields in list settings, content types, SharePoint designer. 
    Refreshed the fields in the InfoPath form before trying to make any changes. 
    Tried saving a change to the category field in List settings (adding a 5 to the name) and then editing the form. 
    Even if I make no changes to the form, it has been refreshed after opening, and I try to publish the form, the SOAP error occurs.  
    The category field is the standard out of the box field, and other than adding additional values, there were no modifications.  
    I am able to publish the form on a site where no issues have yet been added, and I was able to add the ID field to the site template.  
    Has anyone run into this issue?  Any resolution?
    This is a Project Server 2013 project site on SharePoint 2013.

    Based on your description, my understanding is that the InfoPath form of the list cannot be published to SharePoint if there are items in the list.
    I recommend to verify the things below:
    Please click File > Design Checker in InfoPath to see if there are any errors.
    Open the form in InfoPath and keep the form open. Then delete the existing InfoPath template in the list settings and then click publish the form in InfoPath to see if the issue still occurs.
    To narrow down the issue scope, I recommend to create a new issue list and test with InfoPath form to compare the results.
    Check ULS log for detailed error message in SharePoint.
    To further understanding this issue, could you please provide some screenshots of your InfoPath form and the customizations you did on the form?

  • Editing Issues With QT 7.1

    I know users are reporting various problems with the latest FR, security and QT updates - alot of it based on basic booting and functionality. This question goes directly to the usability of QT post-update.
    I use QTPro (in this case the latest "greatest" 7.1 framework) to edit out sections of various video files. Case in point, very simple PC-skewed current XviD (MPEG-4) encoded files in avi containers.
    Prior to 7.1, using the correct DivX, XviD, etc. intel encoder and decoder plug-ins for QT, there were no issues playing, editing, re-encoding files.
    Post the 7.1 update, playability remains intact. But very basic editing is odd. A simple edit and save to native .mov format causes QT to crash immediately. As an aside, format specs under "get info" no longer show the core video codec, ie: "generic MPEG-4," although a look at "video properties" lists the video track as "Generic MPEG-4."
    VLC - as it always does, reports the video and audio output formats correctly, but that's nothing new.
    I could care less about identifying the video formats - since I know what I'm dealing with ahead of time - but it's a bit of a bugger none-the-less.
    I am interested to know if anyone has experienced basic editing and saving issues as outlined above.

  • Addres Book editing issues

    Hey all,
    I've recently had to add a huge e-mail list to my address book, so I decided to split it up in groups of 30 for ease of e-mail and just to keep everything organized.
    Everything was going fine... although the Edit field is extremely annoying, (and I don't know if this is everyone's or just mine) but it's displaced (see screenshots) so I don't know where I'm putting anything in). The biggest problem though is when I copy and paste a bunch of addresses into the e-mail field, it puts the first 5 into the e-mail field, and automatically puts the rest into the "other" categories, and creates more other catogories anytime I try to add more contacts (see screenshots). Any ideas?

    Open the Address Book application from the Dock, click on Help, then AB Help and search for "import contacts". Read those several articles, and experiment with the Import function targeting a file saved from within Excel or Numbers after opening your excel file. I always have to experiment with this, but it works. See also:

    The issues you will have to solve is how to only pick up new addresses, unless that is saved as a separate file from Excel, and then how to most easily recognize the addresses for each Group you create. AB provides a handy reference to Last Import that makes this work best.
