Editable WD ALV - Cell Read Only

Hi,
Is there any way for making an individual cell read only for a column-row combination.
My scenario is :
I have an editable WD ALV with data. Now , in row(e.g Index 4) entry of the table, I want to make column2 and Column3 read only for that particular entry(row no.- Index) !! Please guide me through if there is any way to do the same.
Best Regards
Sid

You will have to create an extra attribute for each of your column, of type boolean under the same node. Now bind  these attributes to the read only property of your column's cell editors.
Then pass abap_true/abap_false to make the field editable/reaonly.
Check this wiki for your reference,

  • How to edit file sent in Read-only ?

    I want to add a stamp to a document that was sent to me in a read-only format to prevent modification, is this possible?

    If it's just read-only you can change that setting by right-clicking the
    file and going to Properties and unticking the read-only box.
    If it's actually secured then you can't change that in Acrobat unless you
    know the password.

  • How to make a cell/column read only

    HI All,
    Is there any way to make a specific cell read only with in a specific data form?
    Similarly is there any way to make whole column read only inside a specific data form?
    I don't want to make changes in my dimension member (e.g Dynamic Calc), i want to make these changes at data form level because, these cell/column are read only at one form but on some other data form they are editable/enterable

    If you want to make a column read only then have a look at asymettric columns in the planning admin doc, if you use them then you can make one of the columns read only.
    If you want a make one cell read only then one method could be to use javascript, you could add an extra member which is dynamic calc and point to the original member with a formula but it doesn't sound like you want to do that.
    Cheers

  • Editable AdvancedDataGrid / Read-only SummaryRow

    tl;dr - How do I have read-only SummaryFields for an editable column in the AdvancedDataGrid?
    I have an AdvancedDataGrid based on flat data in a GroupingCollection that groups on one field (named "day"). There are 2 known read-only columns, and N additional columns (N is equal for all rows in the grid). My goal is to have the N additional columns editable (numeric) with a read-only SummaryRow at the group level for those columns.
    I can display everything properly, but I cannot figure out how to make the SummaryRow read-only.
    AdvancedDataGrid and AdvancedDataGridColumn seems to the be only classes that allow you to toggle an "editable" flag.
    When I use an AdvancedDataGridRendererProvider, my custom Label-based renderer is called, but I do not know which column it is being called for, so even though I have access to the child data, I do not know which fields in the children to summarize and display in the text field of the label.
    Data is in an ArrayCollection where each item (row) has the following format:
         "day": 1,
         "hour": "Shift 1",
         "Skill0": 4,
         "Skill1": 8,
         "Skill2": 15,
         "Skill3": 16,
         "Skill4": 23,
         "Skill5": 42
    where "day" is the column the grouping occurs on, "day" and "hour" are displayed as read-only fixed columns, and the "SkillN" fields are displayed as editable columns.
    I hope I am missing some simple bit of information here. I have spent many hours on this!
    Am I approaching the solution wrong? Hints and advice are appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Thank you so much, Sameer. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get this working. I am using SDK 3.5 in Flex Builder 3.
    Below is a sample app that shows the "editable" property not working properly. Here is a screenshot of the result showing that the summary row is editable:

  • Using edit box in Read only mode

    I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.1.0 with OAF.
    In one page I have created one region with a few edit boxes. In this region I want to display the information using the edit boxes in a "Read Only" mode so that it matches with the same background colour.
    If the content of the edit box is small, i.e.: a few characters long, but if the content is large about 150 characters, then if I make the edit box read only, then it does not come to a new line. For this I have to make the edit box in "Disabled" mode. In "Disabled" mode only, the long message is shown in multilines. But my problem is that, when I make is "Disabled, it does not become uniform with other edit boxes with the same background colour. Can you please suggest, how can I address this problem.

  • Convert editable PDF to read-only when sent in an email - JavaScript

    I have a real estate company that is trying to have an application that a agent and customer can fill in the needed information, hit a submit button, have the javascript compose an email with the attached pdf.  Here's the issue I'm having: I need to be able to convert the editable pdf to a read only so when the customer receives a copy they cannot edit the information again.
    Here is my javascript code for the submit button:
    // This is the form return email. It's hardcoded
    // so that the form is always returned to the same address.
    // Change address on your form to match the code below
    // Send to buisness email
    var cToAddr = "[email protected]";
    // First, get the client CC email address
    var cCCAddr = this.getField("1st Tenant Email").value;
    if(cCCAddr != "")
    // Now get the second email only if it is filled out
    var cBenAddr = this.getField("2nd Tenant Email").value;
    if(cBenAddr != "")
    // Now get the third email only if it is filled out
    var cthirdAddr = this.getField("3rd Tenant Email").value;
    if(cthirdAddr !="")
    // Set the subject and body text for the email message
    var cSubLine = "Test - Lease Form"
    var cBody = "Thank you for submitting your form.\n" + "Save the filled form attachment for your own records"
    // Send the entire PDF as a file attachment on an email
    this.mailDoc({bUI: true, cTo: cToAddr, cCc: (cCCAddr + "; "
    + cBenAddr + "; " + cthirdAddr), cSubject: cSubLine, cMsg: cBody});

    Hi keely,
    Firstly you will need to buy a Reader Extensions license (this allows Reader to save the form data - otherwise the client will require Acrobat). Once this is done, you will then need a button (called "Lock Down" or something) that executes a script that makes all of the fields readOnly and updates a form variable (say, "locked") to indicate that the form is locked. You will also need to add a script to the initialize event that checks for the value of "locked", then executes the readOnly script (if the form needs to be locked down). An example of a readOnly script can be found on page 434 of http://www.adobe.com/go/learn_lc_scriptingReference (see "Disabling all form fields" script)
    Here is a sample form ( https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/9df046bd-1125-4923-95de-35fc845139ca ) with a 'Lock All fields' button. Once you click this button all the forms turn 'Read only'.
    Another way to accomplish this which still requires Reader Extensions or Acrobat Pro is to use digital signatures. The people you are sending this to should have certificates set up.
    Hope this helps.

  • Sharepoint 2010 Library - All documents are Read Only regardless of permissions and clicking edit

    Good afternoon all,
    I'm running out of places for me to find assistance on this issue, and am hoping you can help. We're running Sharepoint 2010 as our Intranet. Myself and the rest of the IT staff are administrators, and we're looking under a section that we're specifically
    in control of where we have documents for our use. One of the administrators reported that he wasn't able to open a document, and neither was I. This was an older spreadsheet that was never converted. I couldn't open it either, nor could I delete it or manipulate
    the entry in the library. I could open explorer and open the file that way, or download it through Chrome.
    I was able to remove the file, upconvert the file to .xlsx, and reupload it. Now myself and the users are able to open the file, but we can't manipulate it. In addition to this, it seems that any Office file that we attempt to open in Sharepoint opens up
    in Read Only. If we click Read Only, and hit Edit, it stays Read Only (once in a blue moon it allows us to edit it). If we hit edit it still says Read Only at the top.
    I'm not the most experienced at Sharepoint so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    For your issue, try to get rid of the serviceDebug and serviceMetadata entries in the web application's web.config:

    <serviceBehaviors>
    <behavior>
    <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="true" />
    <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true" />

  • Making a field in ALV as display only in FPM

    Hi ,
    I have a requirement where in I need to make a field(which is a dropdown) in ALV as read-only field in one of the webdynpro application(WDC_WSGM_GR)  called in FPM_OIF_COMPONENT.
    Can somebody help me find the place/method where we can make this change as i am new to FPM concept.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Soumya

    Hi,
    This is related to WebDynpro ABAP, you would have got more response if you have posted this in WebDynpro ABAP forum.
    See in WDC_WSGM_GR, if there is any method called Configure_ALV or something like that to initialize the ALV.
    Follow this blog [/people/steffen.weber/blog/2009/01/15/dropdown-boxes-in-alv-in-webdynpro-for-abap|/people/steffen.weber/blog/2009/01/15/dropdown-boxes-in-alv-in-webdynpro-for-abap]
    There may be something like this in your coding
    lt_columns = lr_column_settings->get_columns( ).
    LOOP AT lt_columns ASSIGNING .
    IF -id = 'PLANETYPE'.
    CREATE OBJECT lr_dropdown_key
    EXPORTING
    selected_key_fieldname = 'PLANETYPE'.
    "Introduce here
    lr_dropdown_key->set_read_only( abap_false ).
    r_column->set_cell_editor( lr_dropdown_key ).

  • CFLock, Read-Only Issues

    I am trying to make edits to a previously read-only page. I
    have added some queries and when I run the page, the queries are
    not run. I have put the queries in a try/catch block and again, not
    run. I have even put in random test (i.e. 'asdfasdf') hoping to see
    it when I run the page; nothing. Maybe the page is cached or
    something? I restarted CF services, but that still didn't help.
    It's CF4.5, so maybe there are page caching issues?
    Sorry for all the code, but the things I added are the
    'asdfasdfasdf' after the InsertConsultant query, and I also added
    the get_event_type query and catch try block. Thanks for any
    help!

    are there still people using cf4.5? man give me some poison
    now please! I think cf5 should be banned and if you are still using
    4.5 then you probably live in Darfur or something and I would
    recommend php as it is free and facebook uses it so it must be
    alright!! (hint hint adobe sort it out and make it free you are
    leaving us developers out to dry here!!)

  • APEX 4 Bug: Wrong quickpicks in Item Page's Read Only section

    This bug is an easy one
    In Edit Page Item page, Read Only section, the predefined option list (now quickpicks) is as follows:
    [PL/SQL] [item=value] [item not null] [request=e1] [page in] [page not in] [exists] [none] [never]
    But if you look carefully, Conditions section has same quickpicks. Right quickpicks for Read Only should be:
    [PL/SQL] [item=value] [item not null] [request=e1] [page in] [page not in] [exists] [always] [never]

  • How to convert editable pdf into non-editable version for printing option only without setting up passwards?

    I am using IOS system with pdf preview functions. I try to convert editable pdf file into read only for others to print without access to edit the file.
    The only way I can do now is to convert to jpeg for each page and convert back to pdf then combine all pages together. It takes a lot of time in this case.
    Can anyone tell me how to do the conversion without setting up passwards for protection?
    Thank you very much!

    First of all, don't use all CAPS as it means shouting.
    Second, your question is completely off-topic for this forum which discusses Microsoft Office Outlook.
    Third, this is a peer-to-peer forum, don't count on anyone calling you. If you want dedicated support from Microsoft, contact Microsoft Support directly.
    Anyway, you can insert the picture in to OneNote and then have OneNote convert it into text. This usually isn't very accurate for scans though.
    A better solution would be to use a application which is dedicated to OCR. There are various out there. I suggest you try their demo versions to find out which works best with your handwriting.

  • ALV: columns in read-only mode look like editable columns in edit mode

    Hi,
    My application contains an ALV table which should be toggled between display and edit mode like the rest of the fields.
    The evident solution was to use
    if_salv_wd_table_settings~set_read_only( abap_true or abap_false)
    However, unlike the rest of the fields, when the application changes into display mode and the fields get grey like in any SAP application, the columns in the table which were editable remain white, and those which were not editable and thus grey, get now white, too, instead of the other way round. So it will look to the normal user, as if now all columns would be editable!
    Of course, he would realize that they are not when he tries to edit them, but this is irritating.
    See following link with screenshots (only active for 3 weeks from now on):
    [Link to my webmail space/SDN: .|https://businesswebmail.telekom.at/filestorage/MzYxMTk1OTMx/]
    I have looked
    through my books ("Einstieg in Web Dynpro for ABAP", "Praxisbuch Webdynpro for ABAP", ...)
    through the wiki for Webdynpro for ABAP here in SDN as well as through this forum (by searching with "ALV edit")
    through the notes in BC-WD-CMP-ALV
    but could not find any solution. Most tables in those PDF articles found here in the WD4A wiki also show white cells although they are probabliy in read-only mode (e.g. the imitation of the SE16N browser article).
    The attributes to the LO_CELL_EDITOR for both Inputfields and textview columns contain exactly the same values when toggling between display and edit mode (read-only in table settings), so also no chance to change here anything.
    Also changing the cell design is not a solution as there is no design that looks like grey for not editable according to WDUI_TABLE_CELL_DESIGN  ([SAP Help - WDUI_TABLE_CELL_DESIGN|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/56/5e9041d3c72e7be10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm].
    I do not know if I have made an error, as this is my 3rd Web Dynpro (after the first 2 of the introduction book), or SAP is really inconsistent in User interface between "normal" fields and ALV table fields.
    Can you please help me?
    Thanks in advance,
    Erlend

    Hi,
    In my application aslo, i have 30 columns out of which 10 are input fields. But, i'm showing the table as ABAP_TRUE incase of Non-editable otherwise to abap_false. Now i'm getting everything as in WHITE cells.
    Do you want to show it is Grey mode with Non-editable feature. Is that so.
    How many columns are there which has Input fields.
    Get the column references.
    Now, based on the mode of display create the object as Input or Textview field.
    For that column -
    If mode eq 'D'.
    Create an object for Textview(cl_salv_wd_uie_text_view)
    else.
    Create an Object for Inputfield(cl_salv_wd_uie_input_field)
    endif.
    The Append row is a standard button or custom one on ALV toolbar.
    Do you want to hide the toolbar or just disable these buttons.
    If you want to hide the toolbar then refer my wiki -
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/WDABAP/NullreferenceforUPDATETOOLBARerrorsofALVinthewebdynpro+ABAP
