EFax No Longer Provides 20 Free Faxes Per Month?

Hello,
I have a HP Photosmart 5515 with ePrint capability, and according to the HP Center, it mentions that HP has an arrangement with eFax to provide 20 free faxes per month. However, the instructions on the HP website is rather poor.  The instructions seems to point me to go to eFax to register for their service - I presume I need a fax#?  However, eFax charges (not a free service for HP customers) - http://www.efax.com/pricing    or    http://www.efax.com/lp/efax-hp
I rarely use faxing but efaxing service would come in handy when I do need it.
Could someone verify or provide a webpage outlining the instructions to set up the eFax service?
Thanks!

Hi,
Actually there are two things you need to check:
1. Is your printer in the scheme, there is a list:
     http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Photosmart-7510-e-All-in-One-Printer-series---C3/5070118/mode...
2. Where you are, my old loan 7510 printer supports eFax (free first 20/month) but I could not get an account (for testing) because I live in Australia.
Regards.

I have a computer running windows vista that I pay per month for photoshop, I want to use photoshop on two other computers I have, not that it matters but they are both identical hardware wise, and software one runs xp and the other runs vista, I can upgrade but I am not intrested in other os. When I attempt to download I am told that my os is no longer supported. Now i know that I could find an offline version and should be able to get it installed but im not sure of a safe site that provides the iso or install exe. I want to use the other two computers because they have touch interface early computer/tablet highbird. thanks in advance.

Michaelt65951582 I am sorry but you will need to run at least the minimum operating system to use Photoshop.  You can find the system requirements at System requirements | Photoshop.  I would recommend upgrading to Windows 7 or later.  You may find that your computer can support the more recent operating system depending upon the hardware installed.

There is a limit to how many free accounts that can be created on an iOS device. You will either need to use one that you've already created on it, or create another one on a different device or computer.

Does Adobe provide a free API (for Windows) for creating PDF files?   We are currently using

OK, with a little bit of searching on Adobe's web site, I found the answer to my question.   Yes, Adobe does offer
an API for creating/manipulating/reading PDF files:  it's called the Adobe PDF Library SDK and it has to be
licensed.  Version 9 is the latest.   The cost is decided on a case-by-case basis.    Here is the link:

  • 5 Free Downloads Per day

Is anyone else having the problem where the Ovi store lets you have 5 free downloads per day but you can actually only download 4 and it tells you that ou have reached the maximum of 5.
No wonder their making money, since when has 4 suddenly become 5.  This is not an isolated occurance as each time I start downloading apps I only get to 4 and it tells me I've already downloaded 5 when I'm trying to download the 5th.
This sucks, very bad programming so I'm amazed the phones actually work.

Are you talking about the 5 SMS per day-limit?

  • How do I keep my macbook secure since Apple is not longer providing security updates for Mac OS X 10.5?

I just found out that Apple is no longer providing security updates on Mac OS X 10.5. What can I do to keep my comupter safe? I bought my laptop in Sept. '08 and I am not inclined to fork over a couple of thousand dollars when I have a perfectly functioning laptop. Any advise out there? Thnx

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Here's a 100% effective (though not necessarily practical) solution:
Never connect your computer to the internet, never insert a disc or flash drive from anyone else, never purchase any new software, and use the computer to write and print only actual letters, never connect to email.
Your computer will continue to function as it does now until it wears out, without being vulnerable to any new security threats out there, and will continue to work just fine on OS X 10.5 without any future security measures.
On a side note, I have a 16-year-old car I spent thousands of dollars to purchase new, but I've been driving it on the metal rims for a while now, because I'm not inclined to fork over money for tires, when I have an otherwise perfectly functioning car.
Then there are alternatives that cost money:
Purchase and install an antivirus program and keep it updated.
Upgrade your computer memory and hard disk if necessary so you can install OS X 10.6 'Snow Leopard', or OS X 10.7 'Lion'  Snow Leopard is still supported by Apple for the moment, but support and security updates for 10.6 will likely be discontinued soon after OS X 10.8 'Mountain Lion' ships later this year.
Even though we want computers to be assets that retain or increase in value over time, the economic reality is that computers are best thought of as commodities and/or consumables that depreciate, become obsolete, and wear out, like cars, tires, and batteries. A restored 1965 Mustang Convertible, and a 2012 Mustang Convertible probably cost about the same. Which one is much safer, much faster, rides much better, and gets much better fuel mileage?
Your computer WILL be worth less five years after you purchase it than the day you bought it. The mechanical parts (hard disk) will eventually wear out. The microprocessor inside yours operates at perhaps 1/4th the maximum speed of the slowest current model. The latest video chipsets provide huge performance gains over 2008 technology. But if your current computer truly meets all your needs, then indeed there is no reason to update or upgrade.
If you're using your computer in business, a 2008 model is fully depreciated in 5 years (this year) and it's time to consider a new purchase.  In the US, IRS Publication 946 will get you started: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p946.pdf

Hello and welcome to the Skype Community.
    1.  You don't need the old "Pro" Plan. This was the forerunner of modern Subscriptions and was discontinued to all but existing users years ago.
    2. No. Unlimited World gives you everything that "Pro" did plus a lot more.

  • Why has Adobe Revel stopped my free upload of 50 photos per month

Some time ago Photoshop transferred my photos to Adobe Revel and I was allowed to upload 50 photos a month with no charge.  Suddenly this month after uploading 38 photos about two weeks ago, I can not upload any more.  I get a message that I have used 4.2 GB of storage but am only allowed 2 GB.  Clearly I have been over the 2 GB limit many months ago, but was still allowed the 50 photos free upload each month.  What has changed?  Or is there a malfunction of their system?

Hey there, you may have heard that Adobe is continuing to sell and support CS6 for customers who prefer traditional licensing.  It's last year's version instead of the latest-and-greatest CC release, but it's something to consider if that's important to you.
As far as a "senior discount" on Adobe software, there has never been one – but one thing to consider is becoming a student or teacher because there is no age restriction on that, in which case you may become eligible for education discounts.
    Hope this helps.

  • Being charged £12.00 per month for BT Sport when I...

    Hello,
I have previously sent this to a support email address but have received no response.
I want to sign up to BT TV and get a Youview box, but when checking my account, I saw that I am getting changed £12.00 per month for BT Sport. This is a service which I do not even use, I signed up to it as a customer service advisor on the telephone advised that it was free to me as I am an Infinity broadband customer.
I need this resolved, I am perfectly happy with the phone and broadband service we receive from you and I am excited to get BT TV, but I really am disappointed about this (it will explain why the budget kept going AWOL!) This appears to have been happening since November 2013, with some obscure charges of around £7.00 in other months. I want this service cancelled and I would really appreciate the charges for this service reimbursed.
    Kind regards,
    Craig

  • 1 Gigabyte of Internet Memory Per Month

I'm planning on using e-mail, a few apps, google occasionally and whatever small thing happen to pop up. Is 1 gigabyte a lot for that? Also, does installing apps over 3G take up a lot of that memory? And is there any way to check how much memory I have already used this month?
Message was edited by: Weatherlord Catrina

One GB of data should be plenty adequate as long as you don't stream a lot of video such as with Netflix.
I have never exceeded 500MB of data in a month over the past 3&1/2 years.
Downloading apps depends on the size of the app being downloaded. I believe there is a 20MB size limit for an app to be downloaded via the cellular network. If an app is over 20MB in size, you must be connected to an available wi-fi network in order to do so with your iPhone, or wait to download the app with iTunes on your computer and install the app on your iPhone via the iTunes sync process.
The iPhone includes a usage indicator for call time and data sent and received via the cellular network at Settings > General > Usage which can be reset on your monthly billing cycle date. The usage indicator on the iPhone is not 100% accurate and is not what your carrier basis their billing on. Your carrier should provide a method for checking actual billed usage for your line/number via their website for your account, and/or if the provide an iPhone app. For example, AT&T provides a free app for AT&T subscribers in the U.S. You can check actual current usage for minutes used - anytime minutes, nights and weekend minutes, and AT&T mobile to mobile minutes with the last two being free, messages (SMS/MMS) exchanged, and data used. This includes the number of days into the current billing cycle. You can also view and pay your monthly bill with the app, and make changes/additions to your line number with different options available and the price for the option to choose from.

  • BT are overcharging me by £40 per month + other gr...

    Hello, everyone.
This is my first post here, and it will be long, and in the form of a mixture of a rant and a complaint, and I want to apologise for that beforehand. I don't want to be *that guy* who comes into a room and instantly kicks off about something, but I'm at my wits' end, and I have never before been treated like this by any service provider.
The reason I'm posting this here is because I literally can't find out how to complain to BT. Their pre-formulated "solutions" avail me not, I've tried calling and using the option of having them call me back, which they never did/do, and it's pointless for me to talk to some guy in a call centre halfway around the world who not only misunderstands the nature of my complaint, but, even if he did, would be powerless to change it.
This is the complaint I sent to BT, which prompted the aforementioned call centre operator to contact me and suggest that I "change my password every day for a month". I live with two other people, and we all have numerous internet devices (laptops, stationary pcs, smart phones) - around 10 in total - and you want me to change the password *every day* for *one month* to see if that might solve the problem?
    Anyway, here it is:
    To whom it may concern
I have been repeatedly abused and mistreated by BT. The last on a long and painful list of grievances is that when my broadband security password (never changed from the default one, and never shown to anyone outside my dwelling place) was hacked and my connection used to download up to FIVE TIMES my usage limit, you were not only too happy to take the obscene amounts of money you charge for gigabytes in excess of this pernicious download limit, (which, by the way, NO ONE informed me of when I was PETITIONED to switch to BT Broadband, during a call in which the glorified hawker (cursed be his name) managed to PROMISE me MINIMUM download speeds of 12 MB per SECOND (a guarantee I was mindless enough not to ask for in writing)), but you also deigned to wait THREE MONTHS before informing me that my usage had (suddenly, and suspiciously, you would think) gone from around my measly 10 allotted gigabytes per month to FIFTY. Add to this the fact that when I tried to get my landline activated at my humble abode (or so it must strike you as, to pay it such little heed), you never did appear on the date the PRINTED LETTER you had sent me stated, and when I called to inquire as to the reason of your hired guns' truancy, you informed me that regrettably, I had chosen an ILLEGAL COMBINATION in my package (this fact was very well hidden by your Byzantine sign-up procedure, as it showed no outward signs of condemnation of my ILLEGAL COMBINATION, but rather allowed me to COMBINE ILLEGALLY, take my money, arrange an activation date and SEND ME A LETTER CONFIRMING THIS, and then took NO FURTHER ACTION to notify me that my COMBINATION had been ILLEGAL FOR SIX WEEKS while I awaited my overdue landline activation with trepidation), so you were in fact not going to come and activate my landline, and had now CANCELLED my order. Again, WITHOUT TELLING ME. I then had to wait ANOTHER FOUR WEEKS before your hired buffoons ("I'm sorry, sir, but we subcontract the actual activation of the landline to the COMPLETELY UNRELATED company BT OPENREACH, so there is no way we can actually override the system and give you an earlier activation date"), after having cost me SEVERAL THOUSAND POUNDS in lost income (yet again!), finally came in to flick the switch ("That'll be £125, please!").
At this point in time, I believe it would be prudent for you, as a company, to offer me some token of reimbursement as a measure of your no doubt elephantine remorse, regret and contrition by way of... well, what would you suggest?
Now, I know that this is written in a sarcastic and choleric tone (I've tried being civil, patient and polite, but that has gotten me nowhere in a hurry), but surely that does not negate the validity of my complaint
I should also note that I was notified that the problem might be online gaming. I have since stopped doing that altogether, but looking at my broadband usage now, it hasn't solved the problem at all. In fact, it has made no discernible interest whatsoever.
The only explanation I can think of for the increased usage is that someone has hacked into my connection. Why else would I suddenly be downloading five times as much per month?
I guess what I'm asking you people is what I should do to resolve this.
If I cancel my DirectDebit payments, that might get BT's attention, but it also might result in them suspending my internet connection, and I work from home and am completely reliant on a fast and stable internet connection (did I mention it stops working / falls out every 20 minutes?), which is another reason why I would never have signed up for this plan in the first place if I knew I could only use 10 GB per month (which I nevertheless stayed within for the first months).
If I leave BT, I'll probably have to pay for the outstanding months of the 18 month contract I was tricked into signing, and I would have to go without an internet connection until I can get with another ISP.
If I upgrade my plan, I'll be giving these bloodsuckers even more of my money, not less.
As I wrote earlier, I'm at the end of my tether, so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    KidC
