Elements 10 Installation Problem

Can't install on MacBook Pro with Mavericks OS. Get message "Install can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer."

Control-Click the Installer and select Open sounds the simplest.

Photoshop Elements 12 installs fine on a Windows XPSP3 platform (from C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Desktop\Adobe Photoshop Elements 12).
On a Windows 7 SP1 platform C:\Users\....\Desktop\Adobe Photoshop Elements 12, but will not run

Elements 10 installation problems

After a hard drive crash, and a Win 8.1 reinstall, I am getting error messages about not being able to create a file or folder on the C drive while trying to reinstall Adobe Elements Premier 10. Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 loaded from the same DVD with no problems. What now?

Before we go further, what video card/graphics card does your computer use? NVIDIA GeForce? If so, stop
and report back. Otherwise, please read on....
After we have the answer to that, we can explore
a. copying the installation disc content to a folder on the Desktop and then installing the program from there using
the setup.exe
b. downloading and installing tryout Premiere Elements 10 files from the following web site and then inserting
your purchased serial number into them during the installation process

Where on the C drive is the installation being pointed to? How much free hard drive space is there at the
location being pointed to?

Photoshop Elements 11 installation problems

Downloaded the bundle and extracted the files to my desktop, however when the installation wizards starts up (setup.exe) it wants to remove the files rather than allow me to go through the installation process (entering serial number, etc.).
I've tried to remove the files and download the program various times but keep getting this same problem.

It sounds like Photoshop Elements may already be installed. Have you tried opening the software from the Start Menu or Screen? Which version of Windows are you using?

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Installation problem

The installation stopped with the following error: "The wizard was interrupted before Adobe Photoshop Elements could be installed. Below mentioned application has failed to install: Shared Technologies." My operating system is Windows 8 64 bit. I need help to finish the installation.

Photoshop Elements 10 installation problem

HELP!! What do I do now? I just installed the Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 on my Mac. After opening the program, a message appeared that said "A required application library failed to load and product cannot continue. Please reinstall". I have already reinstalled this twice and it keeps happening.
Any suggestions?

Photoshop Elements 2 installation problem

I want to install Photoshop Elements 2 on my new computer which has Windows 8.1. I have previously used it successfully on Windows XP and Windows 7 Professional. I have used the CD to install it but when I try to open the program I get this error message:
'Could not start Adobe Photoshop because the volume Windows is using for Virtual Memory does not have enough free space, which could lead to stability problems'.
I have PE6 but have not installed that because I prefer PE2.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for your suggestion. I am sure that you are right about when PSE2 was released it was designed to work on disks no bigger than 1TB and that is the cause of the problem. I went to the link you suggested and saw the suggestions there. However, the IT expert, who has been installing Windows 8.1. on my new computer, is against partitioning for this purpose as he says Windows 8.1. is easily ‘upset’ particularly on a Dell computer and says he won’t do it. Although I’ve had a computer since 2000 I am no expert so I have to reply on his advice although I can see the problem could probably be resolved. Fortunately I managed myself some time ago to install PSE2 on my laptop with Windows 7 Professional and if I need to use the program I can use that although the screen is small. Otherwise I shall rely on Gimp which seems a possible substitute, though I mourn the loss of PSE2.
I suspect I should have answered this in the forum but I couldn’t see how to do it. I am grateful for your help

Photoshop Elements 9 Installation Problems

I was working wtih PSE9 tonight and for some reason, my pc just up and died. When i rebooted and tried to get in to PSE9, it kept on shutting down as soon as I would get into the organizer. I tried to reinstall the application over the top of the current load, but it kept wanting to uninstall the current version that was on the PC. I decided to go ahead and uninstall and then reinstall, but the uninstall gets an error 1316. I have followed instructions from the web to manually install this application; however when I try to run the install disk, it continues to want to uninstall rather than reinstall and it fails giving me an error 1316 again. Error 1316 states that "a network error occured while attempting to read from the file C:\windows\installer\adobephotoshopelements9.msi"
I have downloaded iobit uninstaller and I have removed every file that it could find, but with no luck. the install disk continues to want to uninstall it and gives me an error and then closes.
Any ideas?

Elements 12 installation problems on macbook pro

I'm trying to install photoshop elements 12 on my macbook pro and it gets to about 1 minute left in the installation process, and then it kicks out the installation disc and says there was an error in installing. What do I do? I've tried the same thing a couple of times and I'm getting the same results?

First, go check manually for any files that did get installed. Check not only applications but the library at the top level of your hard drive. If you use antivirus software, disable it during the installation. Sometimes it helps to create a new admin user and log in there to install. Finally, you can also try downloading the trial and then just enter your serial number when asked.

Adobe Premier Element 8 installation problem

We recently upgraded our computer from Windows Vista 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit. In order to do this we had to reinstall the whole OS and we lost all of our applications. We have a license for Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 and Adobe Premiere Elements 8. We were successful at installing Adobe Photoshop Elements 8, but when we tried to install the Adobe Premiere Elements 8, it gave us the following error: "Either Adobe Premiere Elements 8.0 is not installed on the system or has corrupted. So please install Adobe Premier Elements 8.0 and then retry.". It appears as though the installer thinks it should be performing an upgade. Any ideas?

Could be a simple compatibility issue. not sure if PSE/PPE 8 is even qualified for Win 7. Try to run the installer in one of the compatibility modes.

Elements 12 installation problem

Just bought and downloaded elements 12 to put on windows 8.1 laptop. First installation, image manipulation didn't open. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Now nothing works. Keeps asking me to sign in/register. Any help/advice appreciated

Thanks Barbara. I realise I need to sign in but when I do it takes me no further. If I try to do anything else it just asks me to sign in again, in otherwords it doesn't seem to be accepting the sign in process

Photoshop Elements 6 installation problem

Because the PS6 installation on my windows 7 PC had become unresponsive, I uninstalled it. When I tried to reinstall it using the download button next to my order number on the Adobe website, I got the message: You have no downloads. How can I get around this?

Did you originally purchase PSE 6 as a download? If not, all the downloads in the world wouldn't help, because back then downloads and disc versions had mutually incompatible serial numbers. Even if you did, if you didn't save your original media I'm afraid you're out of luck. Adobe only makes downloads available in your account for three years, and while there are downloads available for versions 7 and up, there's no download for version 6. If you had discs, you need to start looking around for them.

Premiere Elements 8 Installation Problem (?)

Just installed PE-8 and on trying to open the program I cannot get passed the "Welcome" page. I have not been able to get to the actual workspace page. I will try "Tech Support" but they are closed on the weekend. Any one with a similar experience that can give me some guidance in the meantime?
PS: Ever since installation yesterday, my computer's fan is running constantly, even when not in the program. Any comments?

Welcome to the forum.
Steve Grisetti has done a "Welcome to PrE 8" series, that is linked from this FAQ Entry.
There are also some other PrE 8 articles in the FAQ sub-forum, to the right of the main forum page. There might be several helpful tips in there. It seems that one poster, Ozpeter perhaps, has done some posts on the Welcome Screen too. I will try to find those references.
