Possible variable substitution ignored. Variable 'gmail' not found.  for any email id.
some times the dat is going in to loop that crashing the adobe server. Because the of its generating temp file.
Please help me to solve this solution.
Thanks
Naveen

Print Agent will
recognize @gmail as a variable definition and since it cannot find the variable gmail
it throws an error message.
To use reserved characters as plain text you need to use special variables (page 291 in documentation) and for email addresses that would ean that you replace your @ with @at. like this:

How can I attach a PDF in an email, using an interactive button in the PDF-document?
I tried to create a form button with the menu action 'attach this PDF in an email'.
This Send.to-action doesn't work with Microsoft.
Does anyone has a solution by implementing a javascript-code for this in the PDF?

    Dick,
    Thanks for your replie.
Nice alternative, but it still doesn't work on a Windows machine when the
mail software from Microsoft doesn't react on PDF actions.
You can do many things in Acrobat, but it is a problem when it doesn't work
    on Windows and iPad.
So now I am looking for alternatives like  interactive magazine software
    (based on html5).

  • Submit Email returns filled in PDF document

I has created a fill in form for my website with Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.0, Forms Function which take me to LiveCycle Designer to create the form. When I insert the SUBMIT EMAIL button the guide says I can get either the data back or a filed in form as an attachment. The default condition seems to be just getting the data back as an XML file.
What I want to get back is the filled in form as an attachment. Each response is "one-of-a-kind" and I don't need to manage the data, merge the data, or consolidate the data. I just need to view the completed form and be able to print it off.
How do I change the default setting in SUBMIT EMAIL from data to filled in form attachment?

Thank you for your quick, and helpful response.
I modified my form per your suggestions, sent it to Europe and they were
able to submit it without an error message!
Of course, I received duplicate responses, but at least it worked error
    free.  Thank you.
Has anyone ever located the root of the Adobe/Lotus Notes problem to
    completely eliminate the duplicate address?

This problem has come up in other forum and it's believed to be a bug in

    address.

  • PDF problem, perhaps ?

    If this is not the strict correct forum for this question, I apologize but it was the best I could find;
I use a lot of PDF files that I all create with OSX's "print as pdf"
I, myself, have no problems opening and viewing and printing the files.
    However, when I send the files with Eudora as attachments to other people, most of them also have no problems at all, but from time to time there are some who complain;
-uhhhh i cant open the pdf files you sent
-uhhhh i cant view the pdf files you sent
-uhhhh i cant print the pdf files you sent
I have noticed that the pdf files created with "print as pdf" do not have an "Adobe" icon, and have tried to change the icon with apple+i to make the pdf file more "recoqnizable". I havent really noticed any positive feedback from others regarding this.
    What I mainly want to make 100 % sure; not 99,99 %, but 100 %;
The pdf files that I create with "print as pdf" are 100 % normal PDF files that others, fx using WINDOWS, dont have to treat any different than an ADOBE created pdf file.
    Can anyone verify this ?
Can I be 100 % sure that the "complainers" only have themselves to blame ?
Fx that they simply dont know enough about opening pdf files ?
I get the impression that what the "complainers" experience is, that they try to double-click the pdf file icon and nothing happens.
Is there a better ( read foolproof ) way to open an pdf file ?
    Any insight is greatly appreciated.

This could be happening for many reasons. For example: an encoding/decoding problem with your or their email program; a decompressing problem with their email program; an outdated PDF reader, or a PDF reader doesn't fully support the PDF standard, etc. You need more details from each individual to solve their problem.

The icon on your PDF files only has meaning on your Mac. The icon is not part of the PDF file. Rather, it's added by the operating system on the computer. So once the PDF file leaves your Mac, it's uses whatever PDF icon is the default on the recipient's computer.

No one can provide a 100% guarantee that this is the case. There are just too many variables to consider. Personally, I've never had problems opening Mac OS X created PDF files using Adobe Reader v5 or v6 on a PC running Windows.
Is there a better ( read foolproof ) way to open an
    pdf file ?
Nope. Giving it a file extension of .pdf and double-clicking it works for both PCs and Macs.

  • PDF problem part 2...

I guess a lot of people are having pdf problems.
When I export a pdf of a Travel Journal doc and view with adobe reader 7.0, the borders on the photos are not there.
What is the word on this?
As you can see I don't have Tiger /PDF-X.
    Thanks

Not certain if this is quite the same thing, but.......
I have found problems when exporting to pdf, not when I open in Preview but when the person I am emailing the file to opens it in Acrobat, as all drop shadows are then lost, this makes professional printing difficult.
Resolved it for the moment by:
    1. exporting to pdf as normal
    2. using Graphic Converter which comes bundled with OSX to create a PSD file and sending that electronically. Slight problem was that the size of the file increased from 3mb to about 27mb, so had to download a free copy of Cyberduck ftp programme too. In fact saving it to jpeg was just about as good.
    3. you do have to do one page at a time but it works.

  • I can't print an email and "save as pdf"

Since the last system upgrade, which I believe is Yosemite 10.10.1, I have not been able to print emails and save them as a pdf file. I cannot save an attachment as a pdf file.  The problem is somewhat recent and has just happened after the last upgrade or possibly the one prior. The problem is only applicable to emails; I am able to save other documents as a pdf file; just not an email or an attachment.  This is on a MacBook Pro. Any suggestions?

For some unknown reason, it is working this morning.  I shut down my computer overnight and this morning it is working. I re-booted 3 times yesterday with not result. Now I can save the attachment and print the email and save as pdf.  Gremlins I guess.  However, thank you for your concern and help on the issue.

  • Duplicate Email Forms When Dragging PDF

Don't know if this happens to other computers, but I can repeat it at will on mine....
Create a document and save it as a PDF onto your desktop. Close all windows, then drag the PDF onto the Mail icon in the Dock to create a new email message with the PDF attached to it.
On my system, with several different PDF files, when I do this, I get an email form with the PDF attached to it...and another blank email form just behind it with no attachment.
For some reason, dragging the PDF onto the Mail icon in the Dock creates 2 mail forms.
    Anybody else seeing this?

unfortunately it DOES happen to others... there is another longer thread here about the problem. no solution found yet.

can anyone help me... since i downloaded mountain lion when i try and forward a email with an attachment pdf or excel it will tell me in a yellow box above my recievers email address " ID problem with files" or something like that.. HELP...... thanks

Let me guess: you're using a Hotmail account.
Look what I've found, it seems to have to do with MS Silverlight. Update that, and all should be good.

  • Clicking on an email address in a pdf opens MS Word

Hi, a little advice if I may.
I am in the situation where people often send me an email with a .pdf attached.
If I click on the attachment, it opens in Adobe Reader, as I would expect.
There is an email address in the .pdf document, which is "clickable"
but if I click it, it does not open a new message window in my chosen mail client (Thunderbird), and it doesn't even open it in Outlook Express as I might expect.
Instead a small window opens that says:
"Microsoft Outlook - Starting MS Word as your email Editor."
I eventually worked out how to stop Outlook using Word as it's email editor, but as I have NEVER used Outlook, I would like to force Abobe Reader to open email addresses in Thunderbird instead.
But I cannot find anything in Adobe Reader's options or settings to define the mail client to be used.
Can anyone advise on how to achieve this, please?
    Many thanks.
(I realise this is an identical question to http://forums.adobe.com/message/4183440#4183440, but that got no replies)

Hi. Thanks for the speedy reply.
Aha... it looks like there was some argument or fight going on about which program called itself "default"
As far as I'm aware, Thunderbird was definitely set as the default Mail Client, and if I click on a "mail to:" link in a website, the Thunderbird composition has window always opened..
Same with Word... a typed email address always opens a Thunderbird window when I click on it. (or Ctrl Click actually, as that's how I have Word set up)
I double checked that just now and even If I take one of the addresses in the .pdf docs which open in Outlook, and copy and paste the them into Word and they now open in Thunderbird.
I double-checked in my T.Bird preferences and saw there's a tickbox for "Always check to see if Thunderbird is the default mail client on startup" - and that was already ticked.
BUT... I thought I remembered seeing settings for default programs in Windows Control Panel "Internet Options" and when I looked there, sure enough, somehow that had been switched to Outlook.
Switching it back has solved the .pdf issue (as you'd expect!)
So I reckon there's something subtly screwed in my Windows Install where it's not entiely clear which is the default.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction - lesson learnt, don't ASSUME anything!

  • How do I create a single PDF Portfolio from an Outlook 2011 email with multiple non-pdf attachments?

How do I create a single PDF Portfolio from an Outlook 2011 email with multiple non-pdf attachments?
Email has 3 attachments--some are not pdf. I'd like all three converted into pdf files along with the email itself, and all appear in the email's pdf portfolio.

I would also like an answer to this question.
I am trying to convert an Outlook email to a PDF, then all attachment are appended to the PDF as pages instead of attachments.

  • Is there a way to save a document,.i.e email msg, as a PDF?

In our email system there are times when we need to save an email message to attach it to a workorder. Is there a way to save an email message in a PDF format?

The list of installed personas is stored in prefs.js in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] (maximum of 8 personas)
Only the image files of the currently selected persona are stored in the profile folder.
All other personas are loaded from the server if you choose another persona.
You can't switch to another persona if you are in Private Browsing mode or do not have an internet connection, unless the persona's image files are in the browser cache.
The values of installed personas and its background color and text color are stored in the pref lightweightThemes.usedThemes in JSON format.

How do I read my archived email stored as a pdf by adobe? I have been archiving my email in adobe x.  When I go to view it I cant seem to access the information, but the file is 200 mb and growing. I can read the first email but that is all.

I set up the archiving as per the “Setup Automatic Archival” instructions and it
appears to be archiving things in a pdf, however when I go to open up the saved
