Email notification for user created through reconciliation in OIM

I have done the following configurations for email notification when user is created through reconciliation in OIM
Configuring IT Resource

Add Email notification in a new process task with name Notify     
Process definition     Xellerate User
     Task     Notify
     Disable Manual Insert     Enable
     Required for Completion     Enable
     Allow Cancellation while Pending     Enable
     Handler Name     tcComplete Task
     Assignment Rule     Default
     Target Type     User
     User     Xelsysadm
     Email name     Create User Email Notification
     Send Email     Enable
     Notification Assignee     Enable
     Email      Create User Email Notification
     Status     Completed
Xelsysadm has a valid email id. Now when I am reconciling any user, two mail notifications are being sent. Not able to know from where these two notifications are being triggered.
Am i suppose to make any changes in the configurations?

Sorry re-read your issue again. I believe there are two notifications because you have added your notify task in the process definition and OIM OOTB sends a notification when a user is recon'd. Thus remove your task or disable the OOTB notification. The property is Recon.SEND_NOTIFICATION

    This is not a SAP standard funtionality...  I presume you'll need to create your own custom code to achive that, talk to your abaper.

  • Email notification for payments made through F110 payment run

    Hi Gurus,
    I have configured all the settings for the email notification through F110 payment run. I got the email also by using the email field in the address tab.
    My question is the same field is using the sales team to send their customer statements and invoices. So i selected the Contact person tab and maintained the email address.
    But i could not send because the contact person tab is also pointing to the same field for email ( SMTP_ADDR)
    Basically i want to send email for my payment run, without interuptting the email id which is maintained for customer statements.
    Can you please suggest the alternative field to send email apart from address tab ( email field )

    Is there a way to allow users of my Iweb site to sign up and receive an email when the site is updated?
    I tried to do this with an html snippet on my page, but the service defaults to the url for the widget instead of the url for my page. I think this would be confusing for users.

    Whether the user has an email attribute in AD?
    And when a user exceed the quota, the owner of the affected folder should be the user. Please check if is the cause.
    Meanwhile FSRM should provide an error regarding the issue. If we still cannot find the cause please let us know the exact error.

    Do you just create the user in OIM and not anywhere else?
    I have cofigured notification on the the target resources that i automatically assign to users as soon as they are created via trusted recon. Let say a user gets AD rersource. Ill notify whoever i want from there.
    Another way i did it was using the post eventHandler code. I call an email service to notify admins on the status of the recon and post recon eventhandlers. snippet below..
    tcEmailNotificationUtil emailNotificationUtil = new tcEmailNotificationUtil(dbReference);
    emailNotificationUtil.constructEmail(emailTemp);
    emailNotificationUtil.setBody(buildMailBody(message));
    emailNotificationUtil.sendEmail(toAddress);

    The Book confuses me. I still think assignment delay and leveling resources are the same. Here is the explanation from the book for the three concepts.
    " Project offers two types of delays:
    Leveling delay. This type of delay applies to tasks; it pushes out the start date for the task and all its resource assignments. It’s meant specifically for remov-ing resource overallocations. With the Leveling Delay field, you can remove
    all leveling delays by choosing Resource➝Level➝Clear Leveling.
    Assignment delay. This type of delay applies to a single assignment within a task. Suppose you have a security consultant coming in to help lock down your site. However, your employees have prep work to do before the consultant can get started.
    You can assign everyone to the same “Try hacking into office” task but delay the consultant’s assignment by 5 days. "

    I am new to workflow.
    I need to stop an email notification for a user who receives it for PR release.
    I checked earlier posts which stated some send email steps in workflow and extended notifications.
    But I am not aware of any of this things.
    Can you all please help me in resolving this? As i hardly know anything about workflow.
    How can i check where this email notification gets triggered or from where it picks the user id?

    Identify which workflow is for PR:
    Go to T Code SWI2_FREQ
    Select the appropriate date range
    Work item Type should be (Sub-)Workflow
    Execute
    You will get the list of ALL workflows triggered during the given time interval
    Hopefully, the developers in your system have maintained the correct Work item text and you can identify the PR workflow . Pick the WSxxxxxxxx number from the "task" Column for the PR Workflow
    Go to SWDD and analyze this workflow, check for steps which are sending the emails.
    (simplest possibility)
    Once you find the step, see if this can be blocked for a given user or not (or will it block for everyone).
    Reach there and give us the details of the email step and we shall work out a way.
    BTW - did you try to ask for the Functional and Technical Specs for this ?
    It should contain some details to help you.

    I have to send out an email notifications if a project which has not been awarded is in a stage for longer then 30 days.  I need to send out a notification to alert the buyer.
    My question is can this be done writing a simple program ?  If so what fm do I use to send out email notifications for SRM ?   Or I have to do this through workflow which I am totally clueless about.  Thanks!

    There are tow ways we can do this requirement.
    First :
    Please create a zreport where it will identofy all the documents and corresopnding users ids' for whom do want to send an emails.
    Second: you can achieve this fucntionality through workflow however i am not sure how it will be done thorugh workflow..i will check and get back to you...

  • Email notification for blog updates

    Are you kidding me? Wordpress, and everyone else offers email notification for blog updates. But iWeb doesn't? There is no widget we can use or anything? Just the RSS subscribe button provided? I even tried going through Feedburner, but that doesn't help. You would think iWeb would offer what is pretty commonplace these days. Help?

    The iWeb blog is not very good or user friendly - you need to have access to a Mac and iWeb to update it.
    I don't use it myself, preferring to create my own blog in WordPress. On my old website I used to display my blog as an iframe on my site, but now that I have updated my site, I just create a link to it from my site and it opens in a new frame.
    I find it a lot easier than using the iWeb blog - you can update online and I would not consider using iWeb blog until they improve it in updates to come.

    Can you please tell me how can send an email notification to users as soon as they register themselves in OIM using the OOTB OIM Self Registration.
    Actually I am generating a unique User ID as a Post Insert in Create User Event Handler. By real question is to actually send this particular generated User ID to the user in an email - how can I do that?

    The exact scenario is an end-user directly self registers himself providing all the necessary values of User ID, First Name, Last Name, Email, Password (mandatory fields). But I want this request to be directly completed/approved. I don't want any kind of administrator intervention in creating these users in OIM such as providing approval details, etc. So I have added the remaining necessary fields on self registration page itself for users to be filled out - Organization Name, User-Type, Employee Role. The user provides all these details on OIM self registration and it directly gets created in OIM.
    I have made an email definition of type "provisioning related" and included the necessary UDF's in it. And I have added this email defn to the "Email Notify" task of "Xellerate User" process. I have already checked the "Assignee", "Requester", "User" option box in the "Notification" tab. So now the problem is after user creation - the administrator is receiving an email containing the UDF values but the user is not receiving that. But the user is receiving the "Self Registration" email definition email which I don't want to send.
    So really speaking I want to send an email on User creation containing the UDF values - but it is not sending it. I have integrated the "Email Notify" task with "tcCompleteTask" system adapter. Am I missing anything?
    Please let me know as this func. needs to be in place asap.

    Hi I would like to know is there are way to email a notification to the approver once shc is created? thus sends another notification to the next approver?
    I would like to know if there is another way aside from the standard report  RSWUWFMLEC?
    If ever is this doable by just configuring Define Recipient of Notifications in spro? or any other way.
    Has anybody also used BBP_ALERTING?
    I also have a requirement that X days before recipient, there should be an email notification to the requester and the recipient.

    I hope you doing good.
    Now, for the above query, I am not sure that we have any such MTE in CCMS for user specific session, however, a small custom code can be used to achieve such functions
    Here, you have to use some f Function Modules using CALL FUNCTION/FM in your abap code.
    These function modules are from TH* family like TH_DISPLAY_USER_LIST and TH_USER_INFO. Now the coder can file out the results based on some 'Threshold', which are in spool generated - convert this into PDF(if you want). Now schedules this custom program in background for every 10 mins, and notification will come through it on email ID or any DL.

    I did all thing as you told me.First i created Criteria based Set after this we created a Workflow type Action and Actvities Type Notifcation Email template and finally i called this Workflow in MPR as Set Transition and call Set that i was created below.and
