EMAIL SECURITY SETTINGS CHANGE

Ok..well this simply isn't working out for my Galaxy S4.  I'm signed into my Verizon account and receiving email.  On going into the account to make the changes, on either the incoming or outgoing servers...I enter the information, click DONE and am eventually rewarded with:  ALERT  "Unable to connect to email server to verify your account information.  No response from server."
So, how is this possible if I'm pulling email under the old settings?  Assistance would be appreciated.

  • Email Security Settings Change--using Thunderbird

I tried to post this message in the main discussion with the above title but I could not figure out how to do it.
Just as I expected from Verizon, when I visited the "changeemailsettings" page referenced in the email I got on this subject, my email software, Thunderbird, was not listed.  AFAIK thunderbird is quite popular....but I guess Verizon has not yet figured that out.  Thunderbird has only been around for, what, 10 years?
Anyway, can someone tell me what to click on to change OUTGOING settings?
To change INCOMING settings, in Thunderbird, I clicked on TOOLS, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS. then on SERVER SETTINGS for one of my Verizon email accounts.  That brought up a page where I could change the name and port number of INCOMING email.  But I cannot find anyplace to change OUTGOING settings.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Security settings change when rendered from third party Windows 2008 R2 server

We created a fillable PDF form in Adobe Acrobat and made it Reader extended. Opening the form on a local hard drive the security settings show that Signing: is Allowed. We can sign documents in the form with a signature pad.
After we upload it to a third party Windows server 2008 R2, and we later go to access the form, the server renders it back to us in Adobe Reader. We are unable to digitally sign documents in the form with a Topaz signature pad. We notice that although the form was originally created with the form being Reader extended the security settings change to Signing: Not Allowed.
How can we get the server to render the document back to us where we can digitally sign documents in the form?

The second file still shows the extended rights header is present (it's warning you about restrictions at the top of the dialog while also reporting the method is "no security") but the digital signature which grants those extended rights will be invalidated if *anything* in the file structure is changed. I suspect in this case that the server software is doing something to your file; it may be trivial such as adding an XMP tag, but it's enough to break the hash check.

  • Security settings changing. Is there a work around?

    Hello,
I work for a "Company" that has ten's of thousands computers loaded with the latest version of Adobe Reader X. Unfortunately when we create a form in Adobe  Acrobat 9 Pro it cannot be signed by anyone using Adobe Reader X. Some how the security settings are changing when the form is open in Reader X. When the form is opened using Acrobat 9 Standard the form can be signed...the security settings have remain the same as when we built it in Pro. Is there a work around or something I have missed? This is a rather urgent issue as it will be effecting our whole "Company" and in the meantime we have been told to use another product until a solution is found. Your input is greatly appreciated!

The usage rights must be enabled in Acrobat Pro.

  • How to make signature field work for reader users? Security settings change when doc is extended???

I've been struggling to correct a problem all week and am at my wits end. Customer service was no help as the person I spoke with could barely speak english let alone understand the problem as I explained it to him. Hoping someone here can provide some insight, here's the issue:
I'm using a Windows 7 Professional OS. I created a Microsoft Word doc and used Adobe Acrobat XI Standard to create a form from it. It automatically detected the fields, which includes a signature field. I went through fixed it all up how it needed to be and did "save as other - reader extended pdf - enable forms fill in & save in reader".
The document is a report that will be sent to a small number of people that have to fill it out, digitally sign and return and I'm assuming that most if not all of them will open the document using the free Adobe Reader. So I thought extending it is what I needed to do to make sure they could fill it out, save it to their computer if need be, and also sign digitally. The signature field was automatically added in by acrobat for me and I did not change the properties of it at all except to add a border.
When I open the form in Reader (also XI) I can fill out all the fields, save it... but not sign it. The security settings say signing is not allowed even though I went back to the original pdf form and the security settings on it say allowed for everything. I don't know how to fix this... please help!!!
I've attached some screen shots but can include more if needed...

I don't have the Enable More Tools option under Reader Extended PDF. I just tried to download the XI Pro trial version and it won't complete installation because of the standard version I already have. Any advice or workarounds you know of? Going to the boss for $$ to upgrade to Pro is what I'll consider my last resort if the issue is truly that I have to use Pro to enable more tools for reader.... I appreciate your reply though. I sat here all day yesterday fingers crossed that SOMEONE would give it a go!

  • Security settings change from Acrobat Pro to Reader

I have set the Security Method in Acrobat Pro to allow "commenting, filling in form fields, and signing existing signature fields."  But when I send the PDF file my customer who opens the document using Adobe Reader, commenting is not allowed.  Why is the security setting changing?  What can be done to correct this problem?

Are you sure this is not a limitation of the product?
"Reader" describes a product that reads a file and nothing more.
Have you looked at the Acrobat Professional's "Help" for information about enabling 'commenting'?

  • IPhone Users Email Account Settings Change Somehow and Reply to All CC's themselves

I have an odd one here for sure.
I am an exchange administrator for a organization and we believe that since getting iPhone 6's two of my execs have had
an issue where their iphone AND their ipad have issues.  It is reported that a reply to all will cc themselves on every email and we found that when looking at the mail account settings the username actually changes from [email protected] to [email protected]
We see this on both of the devices (iphone and ipad) and we feel that it began when they two execs got their iPhone 6's.
I will also add that we do not have any way for these devices to communicate with our internal network other than just ActiveSync.  There is no internal wifi network or anything like that.   We have updated the device to the latest version of iOS
and we just migrated their mailboxes to Exchange 2013.  I will add that this happened on 2010 as well and the migration just happened to be occurring during the time that we were trying to resolve it.  It has been going on for quite a while, but
is starting to make a scene internally.
We have since found that some of our regular users have this issue as well, but no one in our IT staff has seen this.  I am an Android user, but the rest of my staff are iOS users.
Anyone seen this before?  Any ideas?  How could this just flip the account settings like this?

    Sounds very similar to this:

  • Email settings changing

    Hello,
Out of the blue - my email account settings change and all of a sudden I can't send or receive.  I'm alerted to the problem when I can't receive email - the ! appears next to the account. This has happened 4-5 times.  I'm using a MacBook Pro, Mac OS X 10.7.5
I'm pretty well versed in checking the account settings now because I've been through it so many times. I've had to delete email accounts and create them again.  Many times.  My internet connection is solid.  I have 3 different email addresses, using three different servers:  ICloud, Roadrunner and Gmail.
Now, when I try to add the ICloud account back in, Apple assigns a server that is not the server on the Email Assistant.
Any suggestions/solutions are welcome.  Thank you.

    What changes in the settings?

  • Need advice in flash's global security settings

    Hello guys!
So, I want to ask you a question regarding Adobe Flash Player's global security settings.
I have a .swf file on my computer which when I want to load it with mozzilla browser a security panel appears saying it is not trusted.
I changed the global security settings and the panel does not appear anymore.
But my question is, if I, as a host want to publish that.swf file on the web, with the global security settings changed, other user from different computers who acceses my web page get's the same security warning, do they have to change the global security settings on their own?
Or the problem is solved by me, as a host, by changing the global settings and trusting the .swf file only from my computer and so anyone can acces the specified web page without changing the global security settings.
    Thanks!

    let me clarify the issues:
1)websites/adnetworks are setting flash cookies in user's lso to avoid browser cleaning and to respawn
    tracking cookies.
where is data that is attempted to be set by these websites/adnetworks but blocked by the global settings?
where is data that is set but not deleted yet by user?
where is data set and then deleted by user once they use global settings?
    2) flash cookies set on user side are recorded in adobe global settings. user computer must be static, not static ip address, so the global settings on adobe can allocate flash cookies to each user's computer.
where is the "static address code" data associating the user's computer to the flash cookies being set?
    3) In regard to issue#1, is any of that data shared with any other company?

A few other people have posted that after making the changes they had to reboot their iPhone/iPad in order for it to connect again. Have you tried restarting?

  • Security settings for email form

I created a form with LCD 8 with the intention of having different departments able to just complete the forms and click the "Submit by email" I was able to get the form to email as a PDF but I do not like that the user can change the form and I tried to set the security settings but when I did that the form would not email.
I really do not want the user to have to enter a password if possible.

Ok, if you are using LiveCycle Designer to make the form, I recommend
the LiveCycle Designer forum (LiveCycle is part of the name of many
different things). For other questions about Acrobat, including forms
made in Acrobat, I recommend the Acrobat Windows forum.
    Good luck,

  • Email Server/Security settings

    Hi,
since I want to change the IMAP server and the security settings of an existing mail account, I try to find out where I can do this.
Couldn't find it. Am I missing something?

could you be more specific so we can help you?
so do ou have your email set up as pop3 on your phone and want to switch to imap4?
or do you own a domain and/server and want to add imap to your services for those with email from you?
my guess is that it is the first.
what domain is your email with?   ie-yahoo.com,  gmail.com,  hotmail.com....etc.

I need to change my security settings (i.e., who can print to my eprinter) and can't find a place to do it.  Help, please.

    Hi DebbyBennett,
You can go to your printers tab at ePrintCenter.com and click on the "Change" button next to your printer's email address.  I hope this helps.

You can set the pref dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs to to -1 on the about:config page to disable the timeout.
    See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/Plugin-container_and_out-of-process_plugins
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
