Email sent when printer was offline = no print?

Hello
I have sent an email to my printer when it was off, but now that it is online it still doesn't print. Do I have to click somewhere to start the printing?
I can see my document in the ePrint Center with status "pending", but there is nothing else to click then "cancel"... What can I do?

What is the status of the printer on ePrintCenter.com? If it shows "Not Connected," you can turn the printer off, wait 20 to 30 seconds then turn the printer back on and check the status again after a minute or two by pressing the "Refresh" button. If it is still "Not Connected," I would turn the printer and router off, wait 20 to 30 seconds, turn the router on, wait one to two minutes then turn the printer on and check it again. Jobs that are sent when the printer is turned off should print automatically if you turn the printer back on within 24 hours of the job being received. There is no way to restart the job from the website. Please let me know what happens.

If the ePrint was offline when someone sent email to it will it still print or be in a que to print?

Hi there, the job will stay in a queue for 24 hours, after which time if it has not successfully completed it will be removed from the queue.
Hope this information helps but post back if you're experiencing any problems getting ePrint to work on your printer.

How to dequeue messages that were enqueued when app was offline

I have 2 question. The following is the scenario -
I have 2 different process. Process A and Process B.
Process A enqueue's the message in the message queue.
Process B dequeue's the message from the message queue.
1) Process B shuts down for some time but Process A continues to enqueue the message in the queue. When Process B comes back live how to dequeue the messages in the message queue that were posted by Process A when Process B was offline?
2) The queue that I am using is multiple consumer queue as there needs to be more than 1 Process B to dequeue the message. The logic behind the design is if one of the process B dies the other process B can still continue to process. At the same time if 1 instance of Process B has picked up a message it should notify other Process B to not process the message.
I coudn't find any samples. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The messages that process A enqueues and are not consumed while process B is down will remain in the queue until process B restarts.
It sounds as though you don't need to use a multi-consumer queue as all you appear to want to do is consume the messages as quickly as possible. Is that correct? If it is you could have multiple process Bs consuming messages from the same single consumer queue. Messages that one process is consuming will not be available to another and this is handled internally.
You can also have multiple processes consuming messages associated with the same consumer on a multi-cosnumer queue and the same applied.
Or you could have multiple processes on a multi-consumer queue associated with different subscribers which are all interested in the same message.
What you use depends on what your design requires but each message will be consumed only once in the case of a single consumer queue and only once per subscriber/recipient in a multi-consumer queue.

My note on my ipad and Iphone have an index of the notes to the left on my copnuter! I wanted to only print the index and the date after the index. The computer would allow me to print the note but not the date it was indexed or the title to the left! of the index date! Has anyone ever had this problem! I am changing laptops and wanted to keep an index printed out for references but delete all the notes from this old notebook!
Please note my Ipad automatically changed to the ios7 update even when the Iphone 5 was with my spouse in Norfolk Va. I had purchased an iphone 5 in feb with 32 gb verses 16 I was happy with it until I thought I was updating itunes to fix bugs and fixes. It updated the ios7 program and the whole look of the iphone five changed and I am over 58 and have trouble keeping up and did not want to update! I callled and had 436 days of insurance left on my phone and I asked them to keep te money for the upgrade and just give me back the 6ios. of course it is know. Apple was trying to helpe get up to speed but the calendar was given me the most difficulty not being able to see appts forward enough to plan very well! My spouse is retiring from the DOD and for the first time in his life can have his on cell so I gave him my 5 and still had my old 4 got my ios6 back and just now the phone is feeling pretty comfortable again for me. The only thing missing is siri i do miss her! I never anticipated that my ipad would change to the ios7 on its on but the applestore in Tampa said that yes that happens oops! I now will try to self educate myself on the ios7. I love my ipad but wish it had not jumped to the 7ios. big problem again is I have is on my 5 it wasa a 32 and I have double or the max of icloud storage but just learned at the apple store that icloud does not store your photos on the cloud. I am a grandmother and the soul pupose of me purchasing so much icloud storage was for my grandkids pics and now I found out you guys don't do this. Where do you store the photos for people? Help! have mercy on me because even though the 436 days of service from Icloud left on my iphone 5 my spouse is the only one that can use it even tho my ipad automatically switched to the ios 7. Really am trying to work with you apple because I think you have a better product but as far as customer service you can make an appt at the service center an hour away and then wait inline for 40 minutes for the genuis bar guys to make you feel like an idiot for not figuring this out on your own or I have to pay just to talk to your service department after I already have in my name 436 days left on my service contract! I have the airport extreme. I can print from my mac using wireless. I set up the bonjour with my mac laptop. It see's the printer but when I try to print from my laptop it tells me the printer is offline. Printer is on and prints from mac. Help!

HP 6490 running on windows 7. Cannot get printer from offline status. prints ok from laptop.

I have a 6940 printer running on windows 7. Went on vaction and had everything turned off for a week. Turned everything back on and now printer will not come out of offline status. Printer is on home network plugged into a router. Printer will print from my laptop using XP. Everything was fine before.

When I use Remote Desktop and use the Public IP of the router without the port number (49250), I am able to get into the server. However, when I try to use RDP with the [Public IP]:49250, it will not connect to the 192.168.0.30 workstation.
Right now the router is program to forward port 49250 requests to the 0.30 workstation.
I am going to work on the Inbound/Outbound Firewall settings today and see if this will resolve the issue.

Printer says offline,cannot print

Printer ran out of ink. Bought more and installed. Printed off required documents. Next day went to my online work, tried to print my documents. Nothing happens. Went to My Computer, says printer offline. My son,who is a university student and tech guy has reinstalled,updated ,etc. it still doesn't work. What is wrong? Can anyone help?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! I understand your HP Deskjet 2542 is showing as offline and you are unable to print. I see you have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers with no success. It looks like you may need to run the Wireless setup again. Please follow the steps listed below:
1. Unplug the USB if using a direct connection.
2. Remove the HP DJ 2542 software from your computers Control Panel's Uninstall a program option.
3. Restart the computer.
4. Make sure all the DJ 2542 software is gone from the programs list as well as your HP folder listed under the All programs in your Start Menu.
5. Now go ahead and download the software and drivers for your DJ 2542, please select the USB to Wireless conversion (DO NOT plug in USB until the software prompts you to):

6. Go ahead and print a test page.

Printer goes offline after printing

Hello, I have an HP Laserjet Pro MFP M476DW used wireless, which worked fine until the upgrade to Yosemite 10.10.2. Now go offline after you have printed a copy and must be turned off and on for printing. And then press the last thing in the print queue and then goes back online. I uninstalled / reinstalled updated drivers etc but the problem persists. Can anyone advise please?

Extra task instruction email sent when task is claimed from group que

Jasmin or whoever can help,
Task instruction and reminder emails are sent correctly to my group members but when someone claims a task from the group que they get another task instruction email as soon as it hits their personal que. Is this a bug or is there something I can do to keep it from happening?

This is not a bug.
When tasks are assigned to a group queue, members of the group receive an email notification if the administrator has turned on the Group - Task Assignment setting on the Task Notifications page.
Once the task is claimed, it is assigned to a individual user's queue.
That individual will also receive an email notification if the Administrator has turned on the Task Assignment setting on the Task Notifications page.
If you turn off the Task Assignment setting to stop the personal queue email, you will be turning off individual assignment notifications globally on the server.

Printer supposedly "offline", HP Print & Scan Dr says software isn't installed

I've literally been looking for this answer for days but I can't seem to find it. My computer says that my HP Photosmart D110 is offline even though the printer says it's connected. I downloaded the HP Print and Scan Dr, hoping it would work but under software status, it says "not installed". It gave me a link to download the full software solution and I downloaded the Driver - Product Installation Software and Software - ePrint, and IT'S STILL FREAKIN OFFLINE!!!
I'm trying really hard not to uninstall the printer because I'm away at college and I left the CD at home and I need to print NOW

My Mac tells me my printer is "offline." How can I get it back online?

I have my HP deskjet printer on my home network via Airport Express. My main router is an Airport extreme. I attempted to print from my Macbook but got a message that my printer was "offline." I could print from my iMac. I attempted to fix the problem with my Macbook by following advice I got here in discussions by deleting the printer with the intention of re-adding it. Could not figure out how to re-add it. Later, when attempting to print again from my iMac, I get the offline message again. Help is appreciated!

Give yourself a star, I found the web page that says your printer is no longer supported by HP. BUT it is supported under Gutenprint, I found it on their list. I would install their driver and see if that corrects your problem. Here's their page

I don't know how old your printer is but I suppose we can't expect HP to support them forever huh? If you still have problems maybe we can figure a way to get old drivers that work and install them.

No response to print requests....printer in "offline" status

Printer was responding to print requests just fine just last week....suddenly doesn't respond.
When using laptop, not a problem.
Printer status reads "Offline" (instead of "ready")
HP Print Doctor doesn't run all the way through...see below image when the program searches for products. The progress bar is stuck at 3/4 completion.

Not sure why you can't see the image, I used MS Paint.
Followed the steps you suggested. HP Print Doctor shows nothing when looking for devices and "freezes" about 3/4 of the way through when search for devices. That's what the previous screenshot showed.
I kept going through the steps. Going through Solution three - - the "Location" field is empty. When I click on the Ports tab, the IP address is 192.168.1.5. This is different from the IP address on the printer which is 192.168.1.4.
Typing 192.168.1.5 into the browser yields nothing....while typing 192.168.1.4 yields the Embedded Web Server and all statuses look good.
Here are the images of the Printer/Properties-General tab showing the blank Location field and, secondly, the Printer/Properties-Ports tab showing the IP address 192.168.1.5

Unable to print received a message " printer offline"

unable to print anything with my printer the message states that my printer is offline. I have tried everything possible with my little knowledge , verify all the cables connections, reboot computer and printer, nothing's working. I have to print a presentation for my school and running out of time.Before I went on vacation my printer was work, I printed my plane tickets.Very frustrating. I m not a computer whizz ,Thank you for your help.

Based on the screen grab your IT wants you to use Windows SMB to connect to the shared printer. As to why they needed to do this via the Advanced tab is confusing, as there is nothing in the queue syntax that would require this method, as the Windows tab provided in the Add Printer browser would achieve the same result.
As for losing the settings, since you are already in the Advanced Add Printer pane, by then selecting the IP > LPD pane you will lose the settings that you have just entered into Advanced pane.
Note that with what they have supplied you, there may be an issue with authentication to the Windows server. Normally when you use the Windows tab to add the printer and browse through the workgroup/domain and then select the server sharing the printer, you get prompted to authenticate. This requires you to enter a Windows user name and password. The same thing would have happened in 10.6. But with Lion it now seems that you don't need to add the domain name prefix to the Windows user name. Doing so causes an connection error.

'printer is offline' message, even though it's not

I'm installing a new HP 4500 to my network at home, currently using my Macbook Air. The software downloaded fine and the setup wizard worked well too, the printer found my network and says that it is connected to it.
when I try to print wirelessly, the window on my laptop says 'printer is offline' and 'printer is not connected' although it clearly is online.
I have no trouble printing through a wire

I understand your are having "Printer Offline" errors with your HP 4500 after you have installed onto your Mac Book Air over your wireless connection but the USB cable connection works without problem. If you could please provide me with the printers Model Number as the 4500 has several possible printers connected to that series name and your Operating System running on the Mac.
I would like you to start with looking into this document as it covers all the Windows & Mac Operating Systems: 'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the Printer Will Not Print.
Please reply back with the information requested if the problem is not resolved.
